Black Cat Wreath

 Black Cat Wreath
If you love to craft, think that cats are special and Halloween is your favorite holiday, you will want to make this Black Cat Wreath. It is simple and cute and looks good with Halloween decorations. It would be perfect to make with a group of friends, or with a club. It can also make a wonderful gift.

To make a Black Cat Wreath, you will need the following:

  • 2 or 3 yards of black fabric
  • scissors
  • one 18 inch wire wreath
  • Halloween ribbon *wire
  • one wire clothes hanger To begin with you will want to make strips of black fabric with a pair of scissors. You will want them anywhere from 1 inch wide to 2 inches wide. You will want them to be 4 inches long. You will want to tie them onto your wreath so it is full. My wreath form had 4 pieces of wire and each piece had to be covered individually. You will need a lot of pieces of black material to go around the ring all 4 times.
When you get to the top where the ears should go, you will need to stop, grab your coat hanger and wire cutters and make the ears. Begin by cutting off the hook on the coat hanger then cutting it in half. Use the two ends where it bends to make your ears. You can secure these onto your wreath with wire. Once they are secure, you will want to tie your fabric around these as well. Once you have finished tying the material onto the wreath, you can make a bow with your Halloween ribbon and secure onto the cat on the top between the two ears.

  • simple
  • easy
  • cost effective
  • can use scrap material if you have any
  • makes a great gift
  • perfect for cat lovers
  • amazing for Halloween lovers
  • kids can help
  • great small motor activity for kids
  • amazing rainy day craft

  • time consuming to cut all the black fabric pieces
  • may be hard to find a wire coat hanger

Love cats

I love cats so if I were given the chance to make a wreath, I would most definitely choose this one. I think it is cute and simple to make. The only issue may be the ears, but it does not sound too complicated for me.

Definitely the cat

The cat is a good choice for me because I am a cat lover so anything that is cat theme is something that I would consider buying. I think it is more fun and way cuter then the Skelton Head Wreath. If you are looking for something that is scarier then that would be a good choice but for me the cat is a much better choice for me.

Skeleton Heads Wreath

Skeleton Heads Wreath
Looking for a way to jazz up your front door? Look no further as this Skeleton Heads Wreath does just the trick. It is simple to make and only requires a few supplies. To make one yourself, you will need the following:

  • styrofoam mini skull heads
  • spray paint if you desire to paint your skull heads
  • hot glue gun
  • Halloween ribbon
  • a super sturdy wire ( not floral wire as this is not strong enough)
  • wire cutters First off, if your skull heads are white or you do not care for the color of them, you will want to paint them and allow them to air dry well. Begin by cutting a piece of wire that is 3 feet long. Push the wire completely through the skull in the same spot of every skull head. If the wire is not poked through the same spot, the wreath will not be symmetrical.
When all the skulls are on the wire, push them together so they touch. Make a complete circle with the wire while bending the wire. Secure the two loose ends together. Now you will need to glue the side of each skeleton head together to give the wreath more strength. Do not use lots of glue as this could melt the styrofoam.

Now you will take your Halloween ribbon and glue it on to the top to make a hook for the wreath. Viola! Done.

  • simple
  • cute
  • adorable
  • creepy
  • fun looking
  • makes a great gift
  • can find many materials at the Dollar Store
  • inexpensive

*if too much glue is added, it will melt the styrofoam
  • if the wire is not put into the heads at the same spot, it will be lopsided

I love the design, I'm a cat lover, but I don't think that thing is any way representing a cat, though in the appearance realm of it. I love skulls too, most of my cloths, belts and foot wears usually have skulls embedded on them, although the difference is that the skulls are gold plated. I love the black nature and sleek design of this and I would really love one, dangling at my door.

Looks cool to me

I'm not that much of a cat lover and as such, I would be opting for Skeleton Heads Wreath and it's also for another reason that the Skeleton Heads Wreath looks more scary than the black cat counterpart.

It's Halloween celebration for crying out loud, so it's best to go for the more creepy stuffs than just a nice one, and the Skeleton Heads Wreath is definitely more creepy that the black cat.

Skeleton heads wreath

That's a cool idea to have this in our home since Halloween is coming. I love how it looks like, it's totally a dope. Cat wreath is so common for me and there's no appeal for kids anymore. I want to know where I can purchase this Skeleton head wreath for our decorations.

Skeleton Heads Wreath looks very ominous. So, if you are the type of person who loves ominous props, then Skeleton Heads Wreath would be the best choice for you to make. It's even the dark color of it that makes me like it very much.

I like the black cat wreath. I think black cats are one of the things that makes Halloween, Halloween. I thin it is attractve and lovely and why not go for something that really represents Halloween and the Halloween spirit? It is also quite a nice thing to take advantage of

I have never seen these wreaths for real. However, when I compared the pictures of black cat wreath and skeleton wreath, I found skeleton wreath scarier. The primary motive of Halloween decoration is using terrifying imagery. Skeleton wreath does a better job compared to black cat wreath.

I personally prefer the black cat wreath but I have to admit that it's a bit plain the way it's made. Probably jazz it up a little more to make it look better. On the other hand the skull wreath looks cool, but not to my personal tastes. However a friend of mine loves skulls so she'd be all over that for the super creepy effect haha...and everyday decor.

The black cat art is very beautiful and it is easy to make no matter the time it takes to make it, when you it on your head it is simply lovely.

This two kind of arts are both looks amazing but this skeleton heads wreath are much better. It's so difficult to find this rare kind of art in which it has a skeleton head of a human and so weird but I really appreciated it.

We don’t actually decorate our houses here with scary decorations because Halloween is not a tradition although I am seeing some houses in the upscale villages with Halloween decorations. And I have heard that there is also trick-or-treating activities which is officially allowed by the village officers. With that, I think it is an indication that Halloween is coming over to our country that in a few years may be part of our culture just like Christmas and Easter.

h Both sound really funny and Halloween and witchy. I don't see how this is even a choice. In my country cats are considered as connected to back magic. I would not even consider hanging a black cat wreath in my vicinity. I don't know if it's true about cats or not but I won't take the risk.As for skeletons we all know that they signify death so this is also a big no no. so I choose nothing from here. There is not much of a choice.
