great

I was vegan for a while and I'm not too keen on the Ketogenic diet since it requires so much meat consumption. I've tried various forms of intermittent fasting and I'm a big fan of it. I think it makes total sense that our bodies do well when our digestive systems have a break from constantly processing food. I like that it doesn't require you to omit any foods from your diet. I don't really know why you would need to read a whole book on it as it seems like a pretty straightforward technique, but perhaps there are helpful tips in this book.

This

I don't think anyone would need either book to be honest because the information available in both can be easily found for free on the internet. But if I had to choose, I would go for this book since it seems to be a lot better and a better read than the other book. Plus, the fact that the other book has so many cons is just off putting

Intermittent Fasting Works

One of the commenters mentioned that the Ketogenic diet emphasizes meat. Even though I am not vegan or vegetarian, I am not keen on a diet that emphasizes meat. Why? Because whenever I went on a diet and wanted to lose weight quickly, I would eliminate meat from my diet. The pounds would drop off. That worked for me! I have tried intermittent fasting before it became “official” and got published in a book. That method of dieting always worked for me as well.

more appealing to me

I have heard of these two before and have looked up a good amount of information on both and even then I always thought more favorably of the intermittent fasting in terms of personal taste since I think I could stomach that a lot more than a ketogenic diet, considering I could eat what I want but just on a different schedule instead of cutting out certain foods which I think I could not do for a prolonged period anyway. In the end whatever works for the individual is the better choice but for me this is what I would pick.

I would mange this

I must be honest with my response because it's not actually easy to follow the guidelines on this particular book - Eating One Meal A Day: The Intermittent Fasting Revelation For Beginners. But looking at its benefits, it's the only reason why I would consider it.

Fasting

I've done fasting before but not to lose weight, it was suggested to me by our family physician when I had skin allergies, after a week of eating soda crackers and pure fresh coconut juice, my system was cleansed and all of my skin allergies disappeared. The logic of it is, our body takes in a lot of toxins from unhealthy eating habits along with the accumulated steroidal anti allergy medicines that I've been drinking for years, when the body reaches its limits, skin allergies flares up, so one must do fasting to cleanse the body from the inside.

I believe that any kind of book that deals in fasting can do wonders not just in losing weight but also in cleansing our body of toxins.

This one is good.

They both stop me from eating my favorite food but still I need to choose one. And this one is what I choose because it is famous nowadays. And it has less cons. And I can actually do this one for myself.

Less disadvantages

I like the idea of one meal a day. I also noticed that it has fewer disadvantages than the one that it is being compared to. I think these advantages are better than the other guide. Plus it is nice for beginners and the content of the guide is more substantial. It is said that the competitor's disadvantage is that it wastes money and information are not useful. So why follow it?

Simple concept

I feel like this concept is simple and straight forward - intermittent fasting to me is becoming more and more popular and I think the fact that this is a comprehensive guide to one meal a day but is still a simple read is great for beginners.

Expenses reduction

It would seem this is not a good way to live but I tell you, that this diet is the best thing that happened to me. With this diet I have been able to cut down my cost on food to 30% for me. I first struggled but eventually I came through and for about a month now since I started I look healthier and physically fit to go on for the whole day.

Easiest Diet

This is by far the easiest diet to follow, specially if you're busy with work and can't eat 3 times a day anyway. You don't have to change your entire diet. You just have to eat once a day and drink plenty of water. That's it.

Ketogenic

I am more interested in the hype that surrounds the Ketogenic diet so this book would be perfect for me.

I have never tried it and I don't know too much about it so it is great that it is for beginners. I love that it also includes a plan for different meals.

Keto.

I've heard from a lot of people that the keto diet has proven it's results to a lot of people. I'm not too familiar with both of them, because I've never been overweight. Both of these books probably contain the same information that you can find on a lot of articles on the internet, but who knows.

eating one meal a day is much touted in my culture. they say eating less is the mantra for healthy and long life. They also say we should eat to keep body and mind healthy and not to appease out taste buds. I have tried fasting, however, later lost interest because I I did not experienced any positive health benefits. I am interested in knowing more about fasting and ketogenic diet. I will have to check these books.

I have always preferred the intermittent fasting to the keto dieting as I'm still journeying on my weight loss ride,it a lot better to me than any other form of dieting.if I'm to start exercising I will focus more on the intermittent fasting because it seems one can keep up with it than other forms.

I've do a one-meal-a-day out of necessity. I work part-time 2X a week and breakfast and lunch in my type of work cannot squeeze in my time while at work. But my lady boss makes 1 big glass of coffee shake for me. That's my day-meal. Then I cook dinner for my family and me when I get home. I am pleased with the result of one-meal-a-day routine.

I will look up the instructional books, "One Meal A Day for Beginners"-- ketogenic dieting, you've written about. My first time to have heard about ketogenic diet. Thanks.

I always see keto as a nice way that those that are looking forward to losing weight can get to achieve that goal in life. It is really not easy as long as I'm concerned for someone that weighs some pounds begin to lose it without notice and I believe that those that initiated the idea of keto really did a good job by enabling such a nice move. However, I am looking at situations where I should get to add weight and not one that is going to make me lose weight at the moment.

I don't know why this has been put up as a choice. I do both these systems and they are an extremely effective for weigh loss. Given the choice I would go with keto because it is delicious, apart from the keto flu and the expense it has very few disadvantages. You actually don't feel like your on a diet. Intermittent fasting is effective, but my friends it can be really hard having one meal a day especially if everyone around you is eating all the time. A big advantage is in that one meal you can have anything you want.

Eating one meal a day is really horrifying for me because I cannot live well on that attitude or preferences. I might die honestly for starving or may get ulcer because of that way of living. Aside from that it is not really adapted in my country, as much as possible we must eat at least 3 times a day which is really the standard for me. I do respect those people who are doing that way for some reasons but as much as possible we should avoid that way of living because it might gives us some problems in our health later on.

I think that one day a meal is really effective because I have a friend who lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks with that kind of diet. However, I don’t really go for quick weight loss program particularly that one meal a day because my stomach may suffer. I am used to eating at least 3 meals a day, that is breakfast then lunch and dinner with a snack in between sometimes. If my meals will be only 1 in a day then for sure my stomach will grumble all day and I might have acidic stomach.

I really agree that eating one meal day is really effective for those people who want to lost some weight instantly because you are limiting your body to consume the beat meals that you should take. Honestly I have never tried eating one meal in a day because I could not imagine if I will survive in that way. Maybe I will not feel comfortable when I sleep because my stomach is empty which would really triggers me not to sleep so fast.

This is a hard one. I do hate those diet style that is so famous today. The reason is that I love eating and doing a diet will stop me from eating. Why do we need to diet. Eat free and live free. :D

I like intermittent fasting. It's so easy. You simply choose a couple of hours for eating and not eating. Most people don't even realize that they're doing it themselves. This is why I prefer the intermittent fasting book.

Is this really how big the diet problem for some people? almost every month the world has new diet programs to help the people. I think the simple control is enough. People should should know what is do and don'ts specially about foods. Even how many diet programs will created, if the person is not responsible about their health, is gonna be useless. I Think the best Idea is to banned the people who needs to diet in the fast foods.

What is more important is that you should exercise everyday so that you will not get fat even you eat three times a day but just minimize your bread and rice intake for it will really gives you high calories. I suggest if you can't afford buying these things or I think it's not that necessary to buy diet books because it will just cost you or spend another money. You can buy Quacker oats or oat meal with egg or banana on it. You can also get some glass of milk for you to be healthy. You should eat three times a day but as much as possible try to eat less and exercise everyday. You don't have to buy books because some advices can found here in internet.

About eating one meal a day, it's something that is very common in my country today because of the kind of leaders we have ruling the state. Everything is now triple expensive from what it's sold 4 years ago and people are really struggling to feed two times a day.

I think this one meal diet a day is only applicable to those person who have problems with over weight and obesity. But for me I would not really take this into consideration since I also love eating and it makes me feel convenient to eat that is why I will never try this not unless I would already gain some wight that could create for me some unhealthy experiences.

Well intermittent fasting is a no brainer, it's common sense, if you just eat once a day then you'll get leaner and will definitely lose weight. The Keto diet on the other hand is just counting calories by eating healthy food so it's old stuff and nothing new.

Eating one meal a day is I think very hard for me to achieve since I am an avid fan of eating foods especially during some occasions wherein we are preparing unique and delicious foods and besides I am not really fan of any diet programs out their because I am contented with my body right now and there is nothing to be reduced or increased for now.

I'm not sure if a diet like OMAD is sensible for people who need to maintain balance in their blood sugar level. I can surely live on a feast-like one meal a day but I can't see how eating everything on a single go can help anyone losing weight at all. Oh sure, I can sleep through the hungry hours but that doesn't mean that my body isn't feeling the deprivation. For this reason, I find ketogenic diet more sensible. I'm not saying, though, that I'm a follower of this diet either. I prefer a lifetime of moderation and occasional binges as well as regular exercise in different forms. I don't want to work around diet do's and don'ts because there are far more important things to do like enjoying a weekend with my family or enticing my child to eat well. I was once on the fat side but I managed to lose weight by walking more distances than usual for several months without changing my diet.

I love chocolate and other junk food far too much to follow the Ketogenic diet. And eating one meal a day wouldn't work for me either unless that "meal" could be extended over a few hours. It's not so bad during the day, but I can't sit at television without something to snack on. Fortunately weight isn't a big issue for me, but as I get older I do tend to worry about how my diet is affecting my health. Sadly I find it impossible to change.

Eating one meal a day seems to be a challenge for me since i have never tried this before, I just don't know if I can survive for doing this kind of diet for my self since I am an avid eater of delicious foods and it is really hard for me to take them away because I was already attached by that habit. Eating one meal a day is really good for certain people that are having a hard time in losing weight for just a short period of time.

Eating one meal a day is a bit harsh to your body, I think. Little by little they say, you can actually get the curves and shape of the body that you want. You just have to be patient and practice discipline for you to achieve that body that you want without getting into a problem. Eat proper diet and eat fruits. Getting the body shape that you want does not have to be rushed.

I don't think I could survive for long eating one meal a day - I'd be so irritable and snappy because my blood sugar would probably be going up and then completely tanking. I'd say based on that I'm more interested in the ketogenic diet option, although even that is probably a bit extreme for me. Everything in moderation, and keep moving - I think sometimes people try and overcomplicate it!

Honestly, none of those diets. First, who will eat just once a day during the rest of his time? We all have a cycle of feeding, if you don't feed when your sugar levels drop, then you will get angry, and even get sick. On the other hand, the ketogenic diet avoids carbs, and we need carbs as one of the prime sources of energy. That diet always makes you feel down, weak, you even look like it. Also, you will deposit ketogenic bodies, that cause heart diseases, because it makes cardio muscles weak. People, whenever you want to eat healthy, get the proper help, go to a nutrition doctor, and stop doing crazy diets that can take you to a hospital.

I think eating one meal a day is much more better than to KETO. One mea a day will help you a lot if you want to diet, but all you need the strong motivation to do this. Imagine just one meal a day, honestly I can't do that and the good thing is, I don't need to undergo in any diet program. Most of the people who really loves to eat can't survive in one meal a day. The temptation to the food is much more powerful compare to their motivation. They should try the KETO instead of one meal a day if they can't really avoid to eat.

I first heard Eating One Meal A Day or OMAD diet six months ago if I am not mistaken and I absolutely believe that it is way better than any other diet methods nowadays. I, myself, is a proof of the One Meal A Day diet. I have been doing it for almost 3 months now and the result is really fast. In my almost 3 months of strictly following OMAD diet, I have lost 23 pounds to be exact and still longing to lose more in the coming weeks.

From what I have read above, it seems like Keto have a lot of advantages than doing the intermittent fasting. I do not really have an in depth knowledge about both diet but if in case I will be choosing one, I would choose the one that can allow me to eat the food that I want but on a disciplined portion. I know a lot of my friends are doing OMAD diet and it really worked for them, not that fast but you can see the progress.
