Are readers still leaders in this current world?
While I was in the college, our teacher then, Mr Charles, will always tell us stories of how readers are leaders in the world. He always go further to mention popular figures that became great all because they took reading seriously. That really made us to focus on reading and gaining the necessary knowledge, but as we know, reading without application is not always the best and this is the reason we see those that drop out of school doing fine in the business world.

Do you think readers are still leaders in our current world?

I’ve heard a lot that readers are leaders and that many successful business men and women often make it a priority to ensure they’re getting some reading time in every day. I think that’s such a wonderful thing that even with their busy schedules they still commit to personal development.

Readers can only be leaders through the application of knowledge as you rightly stated. No body ever progresses with just knowledge gained. Those that succeeded went further but the first step is reading and assimilating.

I agree. A combination of knowledge and application can be good leader. When we read we should apply it to see the results.

I agree with you. One's knowledge would be nothing if he/she wouldn't apply it in real life.

Yes. I do believe that readers are still leaders in this current world. A true leader knows where he is going, why he is going and how to get there. The cannot lead others to a place that they haven't reached. Reading is in investment for themselves to increase their personal value. Having something that other people don't have gives them the advantage over the other.

I can say this: "Not all readers are leaders, but most influential leaders are avid readers". It is difficult to grow and be better without learning, and we all know the best way to learn is from books. Sure, there a number of leaders in today's world who are not necessarily literate. However, these few tend to be the exception compared to the number of world leaders who read to stay ahead.

Yes, not all readers will ever lead because alot just read with no reasonable action to follow. I had friends in school that only read without understanding and end up failing the examination.

In past readers used to be good people who used to hold the knowledge. Now that internet is here the people have access to the information. And that means it can be different for each one of us. So I think on that note I hope that in near future more and more people prefer to read and also write some good stories. That would surely change the way people see things.

I believe so yes. However, it's a combination of reading to acquire knowledge, plus real-world experience. Usually, the one who does well in this world is the one who is well educated regarding his field of work and has extensive relevant experiences.

A good reader will always have knowledge, and knowledge is power, and power can take you to be a leader. So, in certain way we can say that's true. Is not like a every reader will be a leader but for sure it has a good chance. Honestly, I love to read, and that has made me achieve very good leadery positions, so I can give you faith that reading is rewarding.

This is true. Reading gives you the power because of your knowledge. But, I hope that people can use their power in good ways, because some may encounter circumstances that make them evil.

Yes, readers are still most of the leaders in the world. Even those people who didn't finish college who became successful in life do read lot of books.

It is because leaders are so inquisitive and hunger for knowledge so they can use it to apply in their lives to achieve their goals.

I remember that we had a small research about successful people and how they do it, all of them, that we interviewed, acknowledged that reading was their powerful weapon for success. Reading was their hobby. They read lots of books rather than doing shopping or strolling in the mall or watching movies. It was their investment.

Not readers can turn to leaders. Those who just without understanding and those who read the understand and apply that knowledge can be a leader.

Reading is also a very common way of entertainment. I lot of people read just to pastime and entertain their selves. Yes, I still believe. It is still happening today. Though not all readers became a great leader. Sometimes people just read to inform themselves and to let themselves aware from any form of knowledge they want to know. I think it depends to the person if he wants to use it for moving people into greatness or whatever the goal is.

Reading helps broaden knowledge and that's a known fact. We can learn new things through reading. Yes I do believe that readers are still the leaders in our current world. They need to learn and read up on all the laws and history in order to plan what would be the best solution for present problems.

Yes, reading is an important avenue for you to gain knowledge. Someone always said this on TV, "NO KNOWLEDGE, NO POWER". It's actually very true as you cannot have influence on people if you are just there unprepared looking like a dumb person.

Yes, I think most of them are leaders. Reading helps to understand more and gain knowledge through it. It helps us broaden our knowledge and gives answers to what we want to know of.

Not all leaders are readers. Some are leaders just because they are popular. On the other hand most of the influential and credible leaders are readers. Some traits that I noticed about these leaders is that they are broadminded. They cannot be cheated nor fooled. They are more of like a genius. They can speak and write well and they can persuade their people easily.

Are readers still leaders in this current world: I do believed also that a good reader are a good leader, but i want to be more specific in this issue. There are types of readers, reader that know how to read and do fun of doing it most of the time but don't understand it overall and the readers that are do reading and learning. Reading and understanding what you are reading is the kind of reader that will be a good leader, in which surelly that he/she has a mind full of knowlegde that may apply into real.

For me, reading really does help us in building our future to be a leader but we must learn on using that knowledge. Reading itself will never be enough to make someone a leader, it requires determination and hardwork to be a leader. Reading provides information and knowledge which is important for a leader to become effective.

The president of our country doesn’t look like he is a reader because sometimes he makes a wrong statement on things. It is obvious that he is just depending on his speech writers for the facts but he is fond of skipping the written speech and goes ad lib hence the mistakes. I guess that adage about readers being leaders is not anymore relevant with the advancement of technology that we can have the information at hand any time.

Yes, I still believe in it. When you read, you gain information, the more you read the more informed you are. When you know things, it's easy for you to lead your team.

Reading will certainly help gain knowledge to become reader. That being said, you cannot generalise that readers are leaders. You need many more qualities in addition to having knowledge on the subject. Leadership qualities should come to you naturally not by reading books and sources.

Whenever I read back stories or reviews of people who have become successful in this life, a lot of multi billionaires still read a lot. But it seems to me that, they are talented people that is why they read a lot and not that they read a lot that is why they are very rich. Besides there are a lot self made who are just basing their strategies fro videos rather than reading really. But I think that it is still vital for someone successful to read at least the current situations.

Readers can only be leaders if we are serious with what we read . Just reading without doing much for it doesn't make sense. So readers shouldn't be more focused and alert to be a great leader than just being a reader.

Reading does not necessarily correlate to success. You can read everyday and still be a stagnant. Action is also important, what you do with the knowledge that you are obtaining from reading is key. Talent and specially perseverance are important factors when trying to find success, wanting it more and doing everything you can to achieve it and help others are all characteristics of leaders and reading can be absent from that scenario and still a person can be a leader and a success.

I remembered when I was in college, we are able to tackle this topic. I agree because there are four pillars of education which can be applied here. It is not enough just to know everything if you would not apply it. Knowledge would become useless if it'll not be used in real life.

Reading is essential to every leader. Not all readers can be a leader but there was no leader who has not been a reader. A true leader knows he needs the knowledge and wisdom to lead others and to make important decisions.

Leaders do need to read a lot. However, reading is not the only reason why people become leaders. A person has to have leadership qualities in himself in order to become an effective leader. Reading about the world around you is definitely necessary for leaders but reading is not a prerequisite for becoming a leader.

Well reading is the easiest and most common way of getting information and knowledge either online or offline. So I think for a leader to become an effective leader, he should first be a an avid reader or a wide reader.

I guess it would honestly depend on what type of leader we’re talking about here. If we’re talking about the true leaders of the world, the ones that are taking steps to better our society and lead us into a brighter and better future, then I’d definitely say they’re the readers. The fact is that you have to be well-read and educated in order to bring progress into society.

That being said, there are also different kinds of leaders like social media influencers who are leading hoards of young adults in their own sort of way. They’re more about aesthetics and superficial superiority, and I severely doubt that the majority of them are well read. At least it would seem so by the way that most of them speak.
