Are you comfortable driving or being carried in a motorcycle/tricycles?
Motorcycles, tricycles, bicycles are convenient means of transportation that are designed to help one evade getting stuck regularly on traffic.

But as much as it's very effective in helping you dodge traffic, it exposes you to increased chances of being involved in an accident which could be fatal.

Are you comfortable driving or being carried in a motorcycle, tricycles or a bicycle?

I am not comfortable actually. Motorcycles are one the most involved when it comes to accidents that happen along highways and streets. Even though we have protective gears such as helmet, still safety is not assured. For bicycles, I am a bit comfortable using them as long as they're used within the subdivision. Using them in main roads is a different thing. For tricycles, I am definitely not comfortable with riding on a tricycle. Usually the drivers are reckless, they drive at full speed and do not follow traffic lights.

Yes, bicycles are more convenient to use especially if you're away from the highway or away from different vehicles that run too fast. We just always have to be careful.

Tricycle is a lot better on the highway than motorcycle. So one should always think of safety first before embarking on any of these to ride.

Well, traveling on a highway, I wouldn't even recommend making use of tricycles as well because they are too weak, less balanced and inappropriate for making such journey.

Have are you going to manage dragging the highway with big mack trucks and trailers?

It's absolutely not safe at all in any way possible.

Do you know that riding a bicycle is a lot more difficult than riding a motorcycle?

You have to constantly maintain your balance with driving a bicycle to avoid falling but with motorcycle, it's a lot easier.

It's mostly as a result of over speeding that makes people get involved with too many bike accidents.

Thank God motorcycles have been banned in my state, I was never comfortable with driving on a motorcycle. Infact the number of casualities from motorcycle daily was alarming so it was better it was banned.

Seriously, it was as a result of the multiple accidents and deaths caused by motorcycles that also led the state government to ban driving it as well.

It's absolutely not a safe means of transportation.

Tricycles are more used over now.

You have reason to be afraid. In all these means of transport, your body becomes the body of the machines. Wearing a helmet protects injury on the head but it is not a guarantee

Well, even with all the protection of using helmet and the rest of the driving kit, some accidents can still be very fatal.

For the record, till today I don't have any knowledge or experience of how it drive a motorcycle.

I have had a few experience with bicycles which I have fallen on more than one occasion and getting myself injured big time, so I don't feel comfortable with both bicycles and motorcycles but I can manage tricycles.

Because first of all i didn't know how to drive motorcycle's or any vehicle hahaha that's why i want to be carried than drive with myself. And i also know that accident's may happen if you drive or carried by the motorcycles but as long as you have trust in the driver you will not feel that your in danger haha.

It's true what you just mentioned about we not really having the option to do without all these means of transportation because of the nature of our society or environment.

Well, car is the best in my opinion and there is no much argument about it here.

The issue is that it's not everyone that would be able to afford purchasing a car for their personal life usage.

But compared to which means of transportation is more safer to use, car is the obvious option.

I have kept asking this question about the relationship between motorcycles drivers and alcohol?

From my research so far, an average of 80% motorcycle drivers are addicted to drinks and alcohol.

This kind of behavior puts both them and their passengers at accident risks.

Good for you. I have this experienced when I attend to my friends' wedding in Bicol. Their place was on the mountain and the means of transportation to go there is to ride a motorcycle which they call "Habal-habal". I have this experience when we are going home. Going down from the mountain through a motorcycle is not that safe and easy for me because the road is a bit slippery and steep plus the my driver is in alcohol at that time. I feel like I ride in a roller coaster the whole time. I never cease on praying until we reach our destination. When we reach the place, my hair is all up. I don't know if I can still ride a motorcycle in that place again.

Well, truth be told, there are some professional drivers out there that knows exactly what it means to drive safely. So, if you could manage to get such a wonderful person to become your driver, then you shouldn't have much to worry about.

As for the crazy drivers, it's best to do away with using them for your own safety.

I use a motorcycle every day when I go to work it because it is only I can afford to have for now. But I'm longing to have a car because it is safer to drive compared to a motorcycle. Fortunately, I'm living in a province where traffic is not a problem just like in the cities. I drive carefully and in a moderate speed. But still, there's a risk of accidents when driving no matter how careful a person because accidents happen unexpectedly. And there are reckless drivers that could hit you on the road. Driving with a motorcycle has a greater chance of death when accidents happen.

When I was actually learning how to drive, I was instructed to be very observant of how other people drive when I'm on the road in order to know when to counter measure once there is a need for it.

You might be driving well and not speeding up but it still doesn't prevent you from getting into an accident.

I have seen a car accident where another driver fell asleep on the steering wheel and bump into another vehicle killing 6 people in the process.

Am I more comfortable driving or being carried on a motorcycle? In my own opinion, I am more comfortable driving a motorcycle than being carried by someone else. I own a motorcycle and I drive it every day. Yes, motorcycles are prone to road accident and that is the main reason why I am more comfortable driving on my own than being carried by someone else. I am quite confident with my driving because I always make it sure to drive defensively and avoid accidents on the road.

Just try as much as possible to ensure that your motorcycle is always in a great condition because it's one of the things that causes motorcycle accidents.

Take good inspections of your tyres. When they are not in a good condition, it can result to an accident immediately when it blows up.

I can't drive that's why I settle to tricycles (which is a very common public transportation in my city) and I think I'm comfortable being carried by them or just got used to them. However, I don't feel comfortable with motorcycles, they're more prone to accidents. But accidents are unpredictable and accidents/irresponsible driving can affect anyone, driving or not and even pedestrians so everyone should be a responsible driver.

Motorcycles are commonplace where I live. They are one of the easiest ways of transportation and always the best when there is traffic jam. I do not know how to drive one so I feel comfortable being carried on one. Not too comfortable though because getting into an accident on a motorbike is often disastrous and most of the drivers are young guys who are often more concerned with getting to their destinations as fast as possible and getting paid so they can carry someone else than they are about driving safely. I always tell the bike man not to speed before I get on the bike and I have gotten down midway to where I was going on occasion because the bike man (as we call them) was driving recklessly

Riding a motorcycle does not compare to driving a car, riding a bicycle or any other type of transport. I’ve only ever been on a high-performance motorcycle once in my life, and to be quite honest, it was a pretty amazing experience. I loved the sense of speed and maneuverability, and the sound and feeling of the engine was incredible. Riding a motorcycle really is an entirely different experience compared to riding a car.

That being said, would I ride on a regular basis or use it as my main form of transportation? No, probably not. I myself consider myself a safe driver, but there are way too many reckless drivers out there. I’m just overly paranoid about the possibility that some distracted motorist is going to crash into me.

In fact, there are statistics that says that there is a higher percentage of fatal car accidents than motorcycle accidents.

I think that riding motorcycles are becoming more and more popular in my country because of the growing problem in traffic. No matter how many times they widen the road, traffics will only grow worse because of the lack of discipline of the people. So others have found a solution of using motorcycles as substitute public transport. Although I love when my friend drives me around the neighborhood on his motorcycle, I am often scared for my life, believe it or not! Sometimes, he just drives too fast and I become scared. He usually drives 100 mph, that is the average speed. Having "adrenaline boost" is just great and even though I love motorcycles, sometimes I do not feel comfortable while driving on them. The protection is practically non-existent and I am scared that if I fail, I will hurt myself.

I am scared of riding in a motorcycle and I cannot imagine myself driving a motorcycle. The news reports are the witness to the daily accidents on the road involving motorcycles. Statistics say that more than 10 motorcycle accidents are reported every day which means there are more than 3,000 accidents in a year. That should serve as a warning to us not to use the motorcycle for traveling.

No. I'm not. Other than an increase in risk of accidents, the climate from the country I came from is very warm. In addition again to the reason you mentioned, the drivers here are undisciplined. It is not that safe to travel riding a motorcycle here and four wheels would do a lot better for safety. It may even be more expensive since it consumes more gas, but atleast you are sitting comfortably in an airconditioned ride with a less risk of being involved in an accident.

I am not comfortable riding nor being carried by a motorcycle or bike. Yes it is somehow relaxing but the thought of having an accident makes me uneasy. It would be better for me to ride a tricycle or a bus rather than bikes. Three to four wheels is better than two. I feel safer that way but that's just my opinion though.
