Are you fascinated with the sun - sunrise and sunset?
How far do you need to go to watch the sun rise or set? I am the fortunate one. Actually that is how it was planned while building our home - my dream home. Our house was constructed facing the East.

I am a great lover of the sun and there is not a day that I am not out in the garden with my camera in tow clicking the images of the great sun with its different avatars. It travels from north to South and again from South to North at times with its rays showing and at times I see just a round ball varying in colour. It could be just white or even red. I quite like it when it comes near our window beckoning to join us for breakfast. But sadly we are forced to pull the blinds and politely apologize. We have better views watching it from our terrace.

But what the sun looks like peeping from high above the mountains and along the beach is quite a another story. We travelled all the way to Darjeeling to watch its unique performance from the Tiger Hill. We were told that the sun throws its first ray that exposes the Kanchenjunga Mountain at the ghastly hour of 3 or 4 in the morning. We were deprived of this view as there were clouds that covered it.

We know that the sun rises in the East and sets in the West but at Kanyakumari (south India) the East and the West meet at a point and to see the sun rise and set at that spot is a unique experience. Tourists will spend 24 hours in the vicinity just to watch that unique view.

What causes the sun to throw up different colours sometimes blood red and sometimes blue is a question I want an answer to.

That is a beautiful picture and a very interesting discussions. It has always fascinated me how each sunrise and sunset are unique. They are a variety of different colors. Some of them are so breathtaking that all you can do is start in awe at them. Pictures really don't do the beauty of them justice. I have taken many pictures of the sunrise and sunset when we camp along the river edge. I never miss one when I am there. It is the most beautiful and fascinating thing.

Yes, there will always be a different way of appreciating nature through by this what we called natural beauty. The only different is that, every country has its own way of reflecting sunset and sunrise. The more we observe on it, the more it will be more easy to understand why is nature always with us when we are alone. I always think we are not alone, because nature always with us along with the living things provide by God almighty.

They are unique, that's why people always looking the best place to see those things in their own eyes, as to make it also to their memories be more beautiful to remember. I am always curious about the sunrise, because I don't usually see it in the past years. I always wake up late, and never witness a beautiful sunrise.

Wow, this is amazing and breathtaking.I just love the image up there.I look out of the window too whenever the sun is setting and I behold the most lovely color up in the sky.It an awesome experience to see this nature given light comes and goes. For the colors, I believe it just to show when it rising and when it about to set, well, that's my belief.

Yes, I am very fascinated about it. Nature always amaze me when ever I wanted to find simple things in my life, yet this world always amaze me. The more I grow up in this world, the more I realized how beautiful it is to be. Sunset is always my favorite part of my list, because the colorization of sun being down make me wonder life is so complicated, and so beautiful to grasp.

Even so, every part of every country has its own uniqueness of sunset and sunrise. They both different, but different to the fact of its own beauty that should never be compared. It is people who can choose whether sunrise and sunset is cool. But, for me, those two things will always be beautiful in their own way of nature. I always witness sunset, because I don't usually observe sunrise.

Such a wonderful picture of the sun. Yes, I am also fascinated with the sunrise and the sunset. I think it's one of the greatest experienced to witness the wonders God had made and that is the beauty of the sun's sunrise and sunset. Unfortunately, when I experienced such moment, I wasn't able to capture it because I forgot to bring my camera, and even my phone with me. I wasn't expecting to witness such so I wasn't able to prepare for it.

Sunset heralds the close of a day well spent. One can look back on so many achievements. But sunrise signals the beginning of so many new prespects, a day dawning, full of life, possibilities. To the giver of life who knows best there could never be sunrise without sunset. I guess they both have equal worth.

Yes it is a thing of beauty watching the sunset. I often do this especially when your with that someone especially watching it set is brilliant. Romantic as well lol.
Posted by moneybags82 on 10-12-2017
Sometimes, I use to watch the sunset because it's a beautiful moment. The city where I live is called "The Twilight City" because it has the greatest and beautiful sunsets in my country. That city is Barquisimeto and it is ubicated in Venezuela.
Posted by cubo on 10-12-2017
Yes I mean who isn't? It's amazing to think about how powerful the sun is and how lost we would be without it. It's so powerful but so protective at the same time. Plus It's beautiful to look at. There would be no life without it

I have not seen Himalaya yet. So I wish to see the sunrise and sunset from those places. It'd be good to see how the weather over there changes. And how the stuff can be different there. So based on that part I am thinking that it'd be fun. I think sunrise is more fascinating than the sunset. Because here you see birds chirping and other sounds and also it's fun to look at sunrise.

Yes sunrise and sunset are very nice to see the moment you wake up you see a sunrises with brilliant view my house is located in the mountain i can see a afternoon sunset going down which is great to watch and relax. but about the sun colors changing i search it on google for pass few weeks and i found this one that "Scattering affects the color of light coming from the sky, but the details are determined by the wavelength of the light and the size of the particle. Molecules and small particles in the atmosphere change the direction of light rays, causing them to scatter and resulting in colorful sunsets." that's the reason i saw on a legitimate website.

Well, I would be honest about this, I really don't take notice of the sun setting or rising, what I care mostly is waking up and going about my business. On how the sun rises and sets is of no importance to me.

I think it's those that probably reside around water areas that might take interest in how the sun sets and rises because I happen to believe that it offers a great view. I have seen it once or twice in a movie, it looks pretty cool but I could easily careless about it.

i am fascinated with the sunset because it gives you that sense of accomplishment ; and that you were able to survive the struggles for today and that tomorrow is another beginning and a new hope :)

Sunset is one of the best times for me to do photography, which is why it's one of my favorite times to go out. The way the sun illuminates the sky and casts intense rays of light at the just the right angles makes for stunning photoraphy. Sunrise is also a good time for photography, but I don't usually shoot in the morning. I enjoy the sunrise on my way to work during my daily commute.

Yes, I think sunrise and sunset are beautiful and spiritual even. I have a picture of a sunset on my phone. It is something that I find both beautiful and uplifting. These are some of the best ways I can get the beauty of a sunset and see it every day. I think it is an awesome thing to have on my phone actually. I enjoy it.

I am not an early riser and so I miss the sunrise all the time. I keep telling myself that I must wake earlier so that I can watch the sunrise but this is something that I have not been able to do till now. I live near a lake and I often go there to watch the sunset. Watching the sunset actually makes me feel relaxed. It's such a wonderful view. I have taken many pictures of the sunset and even tried to sell some of them.

Ah, sunsets are especially beautiful somewhere near a large quantity of water such as oceans, rivers, lakes or ponds. Why? Because the colors reflect on the surface and you can get unbelievable sunsets. I suggest that you take a phone or camera with you and take some pictures! People love seeing these sort of things because there is no sunset alike - each one is different and unique.

Living fairly high up in a remote mountainous region - I fortunately don't have to go too far to see the breathtaking colors of sunrises and sunsets.

As I get to watch what can only be described as - truly magnificent - sunrises and sunsets each and every day - just from looking out of my windows - the latter of which I never get tired of - as not only are the sunrises and sunsets here enhanced by the spectacular scenery - but each one is unique in its own way - especially as - depending on the amount of cloud and the time of year - the colors always vary in intensity.

I absolutely love the sunrise and sunsets. It has always fascinated me because you can see so many amazing colors that it's mindblowing. I don't really need to go anywhere because where I live, we can see the full sunrise. However, I do have to get up early enough if I want to witness it. I remember one month when I had to get up around 6 AM every day and I saw it. It was amazingly beautiful!

Sunrise and sunsets are just something everyone loves. That picture is also beautiful, it just shows you the sun or other natural phenomenons can turn into art, that's why we should avoid ruining our planet, it has so many beautiful things. Anyway, where I live it's easy to see full sunrise, you just have to get up very early.

I think we just don't appreciate the beauty of the world around us sometimes. Unfortunately, in the city, you can't enjoy a beautiful sunrise and sunset as much as you want to because of all the different buildings in the way. But I am truly fascinated with the sunrise and sunset whenever I do get an opportunity to see it. I remember when I was small, I used to love the sunset whenever we went to the beach because of how weird it looked when the sun appeared as if it were going down into the ocean
Posted by kingcool52 on 10-12-2017
Yes, I have a particular fascination with the sun because I think beyond the visual aspect it provides (which is something magnificent), there is something very mysterious about it. The sun is a first-rate star and certainly hides many good things for all of us.

I was raised in a culture where Sun is one of the major deities. I was brought up in the tradition where it was mandatory to say prayers during the sunrise, midday, and sunset. Even though I don't practice these traditions, I have nothing against these cultural and traditional beliefs. Sun is one of the wonders to me, even though I hate summer heat, I love the sun. I cannot imagine life without sun.
Posted by vinaya on 10-12-2017
I'm always more interested in sunsets because I'm not much of a morning person by nature. Both the sunrise and sunset were gorgeous back home- here not so much so I don't bother with them to be honest. You really can't compare a sunrise/sunset with mountains and ocean versus boring soybean/cornfields. There's no comparison and it'd be really stupid to try honestly. There isn't much natural beauty here.
Posted by Rhodolite on 10-12-2017
I am not that fascinated by this because I do not have time and no place from were to watch it. I live in a crowded capital in Europe and we cannot see the sunrise or the sunset from here. The only moments when I can benefit from such a view is when we are going on vacation!
Posted by wallet on 10-12-2017
Sunset, because I'm never awake that early to see the sunrise. Sunsets are beautiful, and where I live there are days when the sky paints a piece of art and I try to take pics to capture the beauty of it. I had seen sunrises and as well and is a beautiful moment to appreciate. I think both things are fascinating.
Posted by felabruno on 10-13-2017
Definitely fascinated with that spectacle course that only happen once a day. I only had a chance to see it when I jog in the morning on the nearest view of it on the lake and the mountain but its quite far from my work place so I rarely got to see it.

We have the most beautiful sunset in Manila Bay according to the tourism department. But I know we don’t have a monopoly of that. Artists, particularly painters and composers, have sunset as one of their subjects. All the while, I thought sunset is the most beautiful phase of the sun until I chanced upon the sunrise in one mountain resort. That was the first time I took a picture of sunrise and I’d say it is comparable to sunset. Much more, the rising sun symbolizes birth so I think that is better than sunset which symbolizes death.
Posted by Corzhens on 10-15-2017
After along day of work, I put on my sport shoes and go out just 30 minutes after the sunset, when the sun turn red and cast its light on the clouds, I stare at it as it's been swallowed by the horizon.

I think that sunrise and sunset are things that happen every day, but most of the time we do not notice. This is one of the most beautiful natural landscapes and I think we should value it more. Recently I started to look at these things around me and simply started to admire the sun, the moon, the rain, the stars. It brought me a feeling of gratitude.

I'm fascinated seeing sunset. After a long day working, watching sunset is really relaxing. I don't know but for me It's beautiful color gives a sense of serenity. It somehow calms me and forget about my problems for a while.

I don't really care about this stuffs, because I don't come outside and even if I do, i don;t take time to look at all thus stuffs , they are better things that are waiting to be done. I could have been fascinated by sun rise, both I don't wake up early. So I would say I don't fascinate about this things and happenings.
Posted by Authord on 10-24-2017
I wish that were i am living is also facing the east so that i can be able to witness it live as the sun rises early in the morning from the eastern direction , it is a great pleasure to see nature at its very best.

I would definitely say I am very fascinated with the sunrise and sunset both. They are both beautiful in their own way. However, I like sunrises better than sunsets because sunrises are rare to me. I rarely see a sunrise because I am usually asleep during them. Sometimes I make it a point to awake before the sunrise, sounds a little odd but I think they are beautiful.
Posted by Everett on 11-09-2017
I think both processes are beautiful in their own right and in their own way but obsessed? Not in the least. If I have the opportunity to watch one or the other happen though - I'd gladly take it as a change of pace thing while on vacation or holiday.

This both sunrise and sunset are fascinating in our both two eyes we knew that. This such thing like this are one of the best view place made by our creatures and there are a various form of it that's why there are lot of people who really love this both sunrise and sunset so did I.
Posted by mar06 on 01-20-2018
I prefer sunset because it's the best view of the sun that you can see for the entire day. I do love the color of it especially if the sunset turns orange and everything is in orange color as well. I enjoy watching the sunset on the beach with some clouds around it, it looks more mysterious to me. Can't wait for the summer and go to the beach and see the beautiful sunset again.
Posted by ColdFlameChris on 01-30-2018
I admit I don't look at and appreciate the sunset and sunrise as often as I should, but then again I think most people are the same. I think it's just because people get used to it and take it for granted eventually. I sometimes feel guilty that I am not more appreciative but I try and remember that it is just human nature to be that way sometimes and I just try and consciously get back to the roots of what really is important which is just appreciating nature and what we have around us.
Posted by Wubwub on 01-31-2018
I prefer the aesthetic and feel in the sunrise because I can see the transition of darkness to a palette of colors while feeling the morning breeze. Just imagining it makes me feel relaxed with that I can appreciate nature more and it's a great way of starting the morning, looking through the sunrise and breathing in fresh air after a good exercise.

Yup, really amazing to watch the sunset specially in the bay area. There's something in the sunset that really hard to explain. It's really beautiful. I really like how the color of the clouds changes while the sun slowly down to the ocean, and the big ball of fire is very visible to your eyes, pretty amazing, and I think that's the reason why there're a lot of artists like sketch artist, painter, or even photographer waited for that perfect time to do their art.

This particular picture had to remind of back in those days when I was still living at the house in the University. This building is located at a place that you get to see the sun rise and fall from your window and the thing is that I always cherish those moments and even went further to taking pictures when the sun rises. I'm that type of person that doesn't joke with nature whether it is the sun, the grassses, the moon and the sea. I have a good connection with nature as a human being.
Posted by Barida on 03-17-2018
Yes i'm fascinated about the sun, for me its a symbol of life and tomorrow. I actually have some photos that actually involve sunset and sunrise and it is really captivating. It is a natural phenomena that can be categorize as life itself.
Posted by fishbate on 04-01-2018
I guess I will be picking sunrise than sunset. I am not really that fond of sunset because I usually get that feeling that the day is about to end and there are still a lot of things to be accomplished. For me, it feels like I am rushing to finish my task once the sun begins to set. As for the sunrise, it gives the feeling of "having another chance to make things good than what it was yesterday" also, it gives you the feeling of being thankful for having another day to see the sun rise.
Posted by mdayrit on 07-02-2018
That’s a nice thing to say about sunrise that it gives you a feeling that you are given another day. Well, sunrise really means a new life to me or a sort of beginning. If you remember the song of Cat Stevens - Morning Has Broken – it is very fitting to the description of sunrise which gives us hope and probably a surprise of what there is to come within the day. But in fairness to sunset, it is one of the most beautiful scene in the sky before the moon and the stars.
Posted by Corzhens on 07-12-2018
Definitely. I think that there's a poet blood in me that comes rushing through at the sight of them. I appreciate it especially when I'm at a beach. My family and I used to jog early morning to catch the sunrise that we can see along the green fields. Also, in our church, we have a tradition called the Sunrise worship service, celebrated during the Lenten season.
