Are you for or against having tattoos?
Getting inked or tattoos are it's called is a trend in the world today especially in western world. Some people go to the extent of inking inch and ever part of their body. Some looks good while some appear irresponsible and evil.

Christian don't take it lightly with getting tattoos on their body because it's seen as defiling the temple of God which is the human body.

What's your thoughts on getting a tattoo?

I'm not against of having tattoos. Sometimes, tattoos for me are an art of expression. Those little symbols they put in their body could mean anything to them. I think we just have this idea of having a tattoo as bad because most of the "bad" or "evil" people wear them. But that's only forced into our mind by the media, they characterized people who have tattoos are bad and doing heinous crimes. I don't care about people who do it, it's their own body and we don't have the right to judge them just because of those.

Definitely, tattoo wearing people shouldn't be judged it their life and what they want on their body. Exactly tattoo to me is an art and way of expressing one's self. There's nothing wrong with spotting a tattoo, definitely not a criminal act. So let live and allow others to live theirs.

I think what the poster was trying to say is that normally people like criminals are more likely to have tattoos and as such in some parts of the world people are associated with criminal activities if they have any mark on their body. This is so segregating and I think that it should not happen as passing judgment without knowing anyone personally or their habits is very wrong.

Judgement is bad but that does not stop me from not liking tattoos and saying so. We live and let live but we have to say our preferences. After all, it is an art but in bad taste.

I also believe that it is a form of expression and one needs to find a means in which they can do it excellently. If you know that you like tattoos very much and they are your thing the n definitely it is always worthy to do it. I find tattoos lovely especially when they are done nicely for example by an excellent or talented artist. You have to identify one when you want a tattoo otherwise it will be a shoddy job.

There is a purpose why we do certain things. Have you ever thought why most of the bad guys adorn tattoos. It must come from deep in their minds. There is something they want to portray to the world. Maybe they want attention they missed. When they are not noticed, theybmsy do some mischief to be seen.

In today's life tattoos are common for all age groups.I am not against tattoo ,If you want tattoo you must be careful about decision that should not be overwhelming your body and your thoughts. So I suggest that don't make quick decisions ,think wisely and also take suggestions with experts. If your friends and family are uncomfortable by this, then you should tell them the reason behind this and convince them.

i recently saw a boy as young as * who had a tattoo and I was just surprised. i do not have one but I hear that the application of such is always painful. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain the child had to undergo to be tattooed but if it was their choice and the parents did not force it on them then it is all and good.

No, I'm not against anyone having a tattoo but it just that I don't like to have one. Maybe my belief as a Christian kicks in all the time. We are told not to have any design on the body so be it. But I admire the well-designed ones on the body I see it as an art. That's it for me.

Great that you appreciate art even if you do not desire to have any of it on your body. This is a true sign of someone that has positive and good thoughts towards other people as you never pass judgment.

I'm not against anyone who has tattoos, for some, it looks fashionable. It's just that my father never wanted us to have them embedded in our bodies, and I just grew up adhering to his policies.

I do not have any tattoos as of yet but I do not rule out the possibility of having one in the near future. I admire them especially when they are nicely done and when i find a great tattooist and I have the cash to pay for a really good tattoo.

People usually get a tattoo because they prefer body artwork and need to reveal things they revel in or they want to honor a cherished one. Why must you likely not get a tattoo? due to the fact they're more difficult than hell to get rid of. Additionally, a few people and some employers are remove by seeing tattoos on another individual. You typically do not see tattoos on wealthy, higher class people. Similarly some religions both forbid or frown on tattoos.

Being race from a Catholic family, I grew up believing that it is a sin to have tattoo. My parents would always warn me never to have tattoo, no matter what. They said that I will just ruin my life if I will have a tattoo. People will assume that I am a lowly woman. People will assume that I am an ex-convict. I will have a hard time getting a decent career. They would also tell me that getting a tattoo is mentioned in the bible. As I grow up and mature, I was able to have an open mind about tattoo. I became exposed to other culture and other race. Reading also helped me learn more about different aspects of tattoo. As I learn new things about tattoo, I was able to appreciate and accept it.without jugding. I love that tattoo can be considered as a form of art and expression. I do not have a tattoo now but I am open to the possibility that I can have one one day.

I personally don't like the tattoos. I find them to be more or less repulsive. In fact those things are not going to be any help at all. I have learned from the experience that some people have it and then later regret having them.

I personally feel that everyone should have the freedom of choice to decide whether they want tattoos or not. Obviously, others also have the freedom to judge them for their choices, however. I myself feel no judgement towards people with tattoos. I’d be lying if I said I don’t associate excessive amounts of tattoos with unsavory folks like criminals and gangsters, but I’ve met plenty of people with insane amounts of tattoos that were really nice. My own best friend has a full arm sleeve and a back tattoo and he’s one of the nicest dudes I know.

Am not for tattoos. Look at that picture above. It looks weird, devilish and roguish. Why should one adorn tattoos on the whole body?

Tattooed people cannot donate blood. That in itself says something. Tattoos are not for me.

Exactly. You cant able to donate your blood once you have tattoo in your body. Aside from that having it like a big mess in your body. It cannot be erased or if it can it will definitely leave a mark in your body.

The choice to get a tattoo is highly personal and one that should only be made after a careful and deliberate consideration of the consequences (both short and long term) of the tattoo," Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Stephen Greenberg told me. "As we age and a patient's lifestyle changes, one of the biggest regrets is not the clothing that a patient wore to a particular event or a bad haircut or clothing style craze they fell into, but the permanent tattoo that they wish they had never gotten in the first place!"

Unfortunately, there are times in our lives when it's best to hold off on the ink. Whether it's because you haven't had a chance to think it through or don't know your tattoo artist, take your time and ask yourself if you're in a season of life when a tattoo isn't the best idea.

I think getting a tattoo is a great idea, I mean it's great to display and show off to people. A great tattoo also includes a story on why it was placed on your body. The best idea/design of a tattoo I would get is an angel on my back and the rosary on my chest. So that I feel I am always protected by God in whatever I do in my life. But that would be my story for my tattoo. I know there are a lot more of you guys out there who would have a story of their own. So getting a tattoo is a good idea indeed.

As a Christian who knows the Scriptures I chose not to have any tattoo on my body. I hate tattoo but love those who have tattoos just like Jesus hates the sin but love the sinner.

I'm against having tattoos. Not because I'm religious, but it because it doesn't look clean. I know it's art for some, but I just can't appreciate it too much. There are cool tattoos, but at the end of the day, I still don't like tattoos. Even the small ones, I don't like it. I'm not against people who have tattoos. I know some people who have it and they are really great people. I just don't think it's a cool thing and I won't have one.

I don't mind other people having tattoos, and I won't judge them, especially some are having good reasons for having the tattoos. I personally won't go for it. First of all, I don't think I would want to suffer the pain to put the tattoos on my body. I don't have a good reason for myself to do so. Moreover, I really don't want to add anything on my body if it's not necessary. Perhaps I would consider it as "not natural".

I am not a fan of it although I don't mind it that people get them. On some people I would even admit that they probably do look better by having the tattoos than without, but generally I'm just not too big of a fan of them. I do find them interesting and enjoyable to look at when they are done well or are unique though, and I also love seeing the process of putting them on, but that's about it, I don't think I will ever get one.

I think that while it seems that it should be discouraged, still what matters most is what is inside than what is outside. Creative flows can't be helped. It has been long ago since humans have been inked. Before it has been part of religious rituals themselves. I'm all for expressing oneself so I am for inking. But still everyone should be responsible for their own acts.

Tattoos are art. It is an art form. The canvas is your body. It should be a personnal preference. I don’t have the courage to have a tattoo. It is painful and I have low tolerance to pain. Some people get tattoos to remember a person or a certain ecent in their life. Tattooist also express their through the tattoos they create. A tattoo should not define a person. A tattoo should be appreciated as an art not something you judge a person based on.

Its obvious that the Bible somewhere in the old testament mentioned something about making inscriptions on the body as being wrong. I'm a Christian, and I hold on to its instructions as highest authority; and in that case, my thought about tattoos should be influenced by what the Bible said about it.

However, when the issue of old testament and new testament regulations arrises, one is thorn in between the two: is the Bible's rejection of tattoos obsolete, as its in the old? Many will argue this, but on my part, I believe it stays in the old. What matter now is the "why?" behind someone wanting a tattoo. Aside it, I do not think tattoo to be wrong

Having a tattoo is not bad is a kind of expressing art, what's not good in this is when you are having more than you deserve. Tattoos all over your body are not good to see especially when you get old, the color of the tattoo will fade and the skin too.

Well, I do like to see tattoos on other persons but I have not found the courage of having it done on my skin. The use of needles for drawing a tattoo on the skin is somewhat scary for me. I don't think there is any problem in having one or two small tattoos on our body, but some people do take it to the extreme and get multiple tattoos on their body which doe not look very attractive. Anything done in excess tends to lose the appeal. Otherwise, tattoos drawing is a form of art which looks very attractive on some people.

The other day I had fourteen injections of anasthetic in my neck. There is a definite reason why I would never want a tattoo. It seems to me, like an experience that is similar and I would never want it again. The needle was fine etc. It is sad to see young people who plaster their bodies in a way they may regret, but I have nothing against a tasteful tattoo if you really want the pain involved.

I am not against to people having their tattoos. Everyone of us has a unique way of self-expression. Some even do weird things to exhibit what's inside their mind. I even have a friend that once told me that she got a tattoo. At first, I was like, why did you ruin your skin? But when she showed me her tattoo. I was so in awe, not because of the design, but because of the meaning that it bears. I love how she expressed herself through the minimalistic tattoo that she got and that made me understand people with tattoos more.

I like the conceptual idea of it. However I just don't fancy all the pain. I can't imagine someone scrapping my skin with a needle. I would however not mind a fake tattoo. The reason I don't wear one is that you can't find the same design. When you keep wearing a different tattoo people inevitably find out that it is fake. I would love a tattoo designed to my specification, unfortunately you can't get that with a fake tattoo.

I am against getting inked. Tattoos are hard to go away even if we use the laser therapy. It is a very painful process. Besides, they are known to cause skin cancer in some cases. Although they might look attractive when you are young, they will look very odd and unimpressive when you grow old. Tattoos are a way of expressing one's feelings but I don't feel like doing it by piercing my own skin.
