Are you suffering in this extreme weather in the UK?
All over the UK for the past 4 days have been hit by what the weather and news call it the beast from the east. Also, the weather is calling this extreme UK weather "Storm Emma". I myself live in the UK they are weather warnings all around the UK past few days from yellow, amber to even red warnings.

Do you live in the UK and are you suffering from this bad weather or are you thinking of visiting the UK just be warned if you are as there already has been a few fatalities (deaths). The beast from the east "Storm Emma" has been claiming lives of others and has caused many crashes and homes without power all around the UK. This weather is set for few more days and according to the UK news, this is the worse winter weather in a long while from many years back.

The UK has been battled with "storm Emma" for days now and has not just claimed lives but damaged cars and causing injuries and pile ups with cars. The motorways people were leaving their cars as it went for miles of traffic nothing more to do than to abandon their vehicles. The extreme weather with battling winds and snow and also there have been some cases of Snow Thunder. I have been stuck in for past few days now, most stores around me need their shelves filling as they struggle for delivery, is there anyone else in the UK who is suffering, or maybe you were planning on coming to the UK. Let us hope this weather brightens up a little and clears. I am surprised I am writing this as there has been trouble with wifi as well with some internet connections going down... Stay safe for those suffering in these hazardous weather.

Here in Nepal weather is not extreme. However, in the last few days we have been experiencing very erratic weather. One day it will be very cold and the very next day it will be very hot. In the past few days, rain clouds have gathered, however, it has not started to rain. The afternoon is also windy.

Over here in our country, the tropical weather seems to be wreaking havoc. Would you believe that we had storms and typhoons last December until January? Those are dry cold months but now they have become wet seasons. And last month of February, the cold weather suddenly turned so hot like it’s already summer. Until now, it’s really the summer heat which should come by the month of May yet. I agree that we are now experiencing extreme weather, not only in the UK and US but also in Asia.

In my country there are no storms yet and the climate is sunny and humid it's summer time now here and the temperature is in the mid 30's already. Now is the time I really wish it's already rainy season for some cool rain.

It is not a need per say, like all other media, extreme sells, it gets more attention, interest, viewers which converts to profits eventually. If you examine anything in the media closely, if you were to witness these events you would find likely so much difference it would be hardly be considered truthful reporting

I am in America, and I have never visited the UK, but one of my best friends and her husband and children live there, near Brittany, and they are having an really tough time due to the blizzard. They live on a nature preserve, and so they were already a bit isolated from any close businesses and supplies, and they have had issues with their power off and on due to the inclement weather--these power issues are very important because they primarily rely on their power in order to maintain the heat in their home. i am prating for them and hoping for the best for them, but I am a bit worried!

I am not from the UK but the weather is playing games with us over here. Since the beginning of the year, it has been raining heavily nearly every day and there have been floodings. Moreover two people got struck by lighting and unfortunately, they died. The country was also hit by cyclones several times. The climatic changes are negatively affecting most countries in the world.

I'm saddened by news like this in the sense that one hads got to be careful when living in such a condition. I live in Africa and I know how we feel when the rainy season is around with the cold weather and I now try to imagine what those that are living in such a snow condition suffers. The thing is that the people of UK need to be united and try as much as they could to follow the instructions of the medical professionals in order to live a healthy lifestyle in a situation like this.

It's really harsh what some parts of the world experience in terms of bad weather conditions. This is actually one of the things that the almighty one blessed my country Nigeria with. The highest worst weather we might experience here is hot sun which doesn't prevent you from doing anything that you planned to do. I really more this doesn't last for too long because it's definitely bound to cause lots of damage.

I certainly agree with you,I think the weather is a lot fair to us compared to other countries harsh weather though the sun can be really harsh if it want to but we hardly experience other natural disaster. it really a pity for countries with extremely bad weather. it will get better we hope.

In my country, we experienced really a terrible storm that even other country's news told story about it. Slowly our country face different kind of weather calamity that destroy a lot of our agricultural product. Looks like even the storm, typhoon, and any other type of calamity are leveling up. Right now we experience hot sunny temperature that will drain your strength. Wish it will be rainy season soon.

I don't live in the Uk but my brother does. He too was stuck indoors for 4 days. He works alot so he loved the break however he was a bit scared. Remember a few weeks ago there was also an Earth quake, so the weather is a bit unpredictable for everyone. Even in my country there is extreme weather it is either really hot or raining and flooding. I think this is a consequence of global warming. We all didn't listen to Al Gore, now we are suffering the consequences.Climate change should be a major policy for all countries in the world.

I'm not from the UK but we have even worse weather than they do. We have much more snow and it's constantly snowing so it's a bit chaotic. However, we are more used to it than the UK because we tend to have bad winters. I just try not to drive my car in the snow because there are many accidents. Walking or taking the bus seems the best.

I'm not from the UK but in our country, we also experience extreme weather from time to time and it really sucks for everyone especially those who are directly affected. Stay safe everyone in the UK. Always follow news updates and it always helps to prepare for the worst.

I'm not in the UK but have heard about this Storm Emma in the news and I hope it does come to an end. Sometimes we experience this naturally occurrences and we just have to hope for the best, in my country there are times one just need to be indoors because of the harsh weather, so harsh weather these days seem to be everywhere it just to handle it with care

The mention of harsh weather is making me scared when the rainy season starts. I don’t remember experiencing so harsh a weather when I was younger. But now the rains would pour and when I am driving I had to pull over because it was visibility zero. After 30 minutes of the downpour the floods will be there on the low lying areas that some roads become impassable. In fairness to our government the drainage and culverts of the main roads are being replaced and repaired that in the last rainy season this year there was not much flood

There has been a store over the whole of Europe during the last two weeks or so, people in the UK aren't exactly used to such conditions so it's normal for them to be a bit more alarmed and everyone should be more cautious, because it's a weather condition that's quite dangerous.

I'm not from the UK, but rather Eastern Europe. None the less, we actually experienced a lot of the residual effects from the storm that battered the UK. For the whole week everything was just covered in snow with really frigid temperatures. Some might call me a bit crazy, but I actually welcomed it. This whole Winter has been abnormally warm and it honestly didn't feel the way that Winter should. Getting a little bit of real cold and snow towards the end now was nice.

We did actually, although not as bad as some of the other parts of the United Kingdom. Over here in London, we had it pretty bad but it was quite enjoyable because we hadn't got a lot of snow (especially this amount) in a very long time. So we loved it and enjoyed the snow quite a bit. Hopefully it's not the last time because the last, last time we had this much snow, it didn't snow again until this time. And that was years between the two.

Here in my country, we also have been experiencing an extreme hot weather because it is already summer here. I've noticed also that the heat this year is kind of a lot hotter than the usual summer season. Honestly, I hate summer season because I can't go outside without enduring so much heat. The heat seems like a flame that touches your bare skin and it hurts a lot and the worst thing is if you forgot to bring your umbrella with you and you are walking on the road then you'll get a tendency to collapse suddenly even though you are not that weak. How much more if you are sick, right? I just usually go outside when it is night already.

I have never experienced that. Philippines is a tropical country. I want to experience the snow someday. According to what I have read that those countries who has winter are less pollution compare to tropical countries like ours.

The beast from the East or storm Emma should be biting really deep in the UK. Am Kenyan and the weather is fine. We have been warned and those planning to visit UK should be warned and ready.

I don't live in the UK but the weather here in my country is just fine. It is summer and I love it. We don't have a winter season but I think it is good as long as it is not worse. And this type of winter on the picture is not good.

Wow, that's amazing. I haven't thought about this as here in Philippines, it is impossible for us to have snow as we are in tropical country. We only have rainy days and summer so to experience this would be welcoming for me but I know it will not gonna happen for real.
