Arturia V Collection 5

Arturia V Collection 5
Arturia’s collection of vintage instruments is incredible! If you are looking for unbelievable recreations of hardware analog gear such as the coveted Yamaha CS-80 or the Oberheim Matrix-12 you are in for a treat. V Collection 5 is solid as far as a piece of software and gives an truly authentic sound to all of the gear. If you are a producer with no analog gear or even a ton of analog gear and you cannot afford the real hardware versions of these instruments then this is the choice for you.

The instruments included in V Collection 5. Some of these are tens of thousands of dollars for the hardware equivalent, if they are even available.

Here is what is included:

Pros
Extremely versatile concerning it’s ability to work with MIDI controllers. As close to true analog sound that you’re gonna get! Very solid software application. Works in all DAWS.

None

Great effect, this software is great for the price, people who deal with sound can ensure all their work is under control. Most software's are not readily available especially when we need the version that exposes the raw programming, but this software support user control extremely.

The pack suit's versatility and high quality production, so when quality is of utmost concern, I think this software is the best.

Native Instruments Komplete 11

Native Instruments Komplete 11
Native Instruments Komplete is a staple amongst producers. It comes with incredible set of tools for being creative. The virtual instruments included in this package are all over the board. Pianos, drums, synthesizers, studio effects and more. The collection is rather overwhelming.

The list of included items is too long to include here, but you can see the list here https://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/komplete/bundles/komplete-11-ultimate/included-products/

The bottom line for this choice is really where you are currently. If you have nothing, this is a great start. If you have a bunch of the basics already, then the Arturia collection may be a better choice, but it all depends on your current needs and what you’ll be writing.

Pros
Studio professional plugins right out of the box. A large collection of tools that cover all areas of production.

Cons
The emulation of certain instruments is great, but sometimes underwhelming. Fairly steep learning curve for a lot of the products.
