Between Bitcoin and Ethereum which one should one invest in?
With the price of Ethereum steadily at $116 and Bitcoin at $3k plus at the moment but still dropping, between the two cryptocurrency which one is more advisable to invest in?

Bitcoin is the most valuable cryptocurrency since 2009/10 but the most volatile. While Ethereum is stable but not as valuable like Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is better.

One thing that we should always consider is that the coins market is one that those that can really forecast better can take good charge of and this is something that investing in Bitcoin gives us. I believe that it is pretty fine for those that wants to enjoy some good time by being part of the coin market.

Even though it's volatile but...

Bitcoin being the most popular and valuable cryptocurrency certainly gives it an edge over all cryptocurrencies in existence today and one's that are yet to be launched. Even though it's price is falling drastically at the moment which is something good for new investors, it will still definitely rise again in the future.

So, my money is on Bitcoin.

More familiar

I don't know that I'd want to invest a ton in either of these right now since I feel like they're still in the developing stages, but if I had to choose I'd go for Bitcoin simply because I know more about them.

It's not that I am against of Ethereum, I just found bitcoin to be much know by most of the people. It is hard to trust cyrptocurrency, but if you would still want to take the risk, better to go with Bitcoin. It already runs as a cryptocurrency over the past few years and until now, it is still running. Just study and do more research about this so that you won't get scammed in the end.

Valuable and popular

The only crypto, I have invested in is Bitcoin. Apart from its valuable gains, it is popular.

Ethereum is valuable too

The thing about trading currency, be it fiat or cryptocurrency like Ethereum and bitcoin is that you have to know how to invest the right way. Most traders (investors) of cryptocurrency actually invest in both coins and a few others in one go. This is because, they all have profit yielding options that depend on how you trade. I should add that, the cryptocurrency market is volatile and unpredictable at best. Invest only money you are prepared to lose.

If you want some business interest which is legit then from infrastructure perspective Ether. If you want to make money quickly and run away then Bitcoin. That's how both investment make sense in that context. I'd say that bitcoin is not that bad either. But the thing is that ether some of the time is not suitable for the quick money. So there is a difference in that case.

In regards to this, I would much prefer Etherium. The applications of Ethereum are wide-ranging. It has big possibilities. Bitcoin is created as an alternative to regular money whereas Etherium is developed as a platform which facilitates peer-to-peer contracts and applications via its own currency vehicle.

The problem with ethereum is it is not yet accepted nby merchants. You will have to convert ethereum to bitcoins or fiat currency to use it. Bitcoin is the end result for every crypto currency. Bitcoins is now being accepted in many places, even in the real world, however, that's not the case with ethereum.

I guess if you do not have yet invested in any, then go with Etherium. Whichever it is, cryptocurrencies are bound to hit gold sometime in the future. But if you have bitcoins already, then you should stick with it. Its value would sure to go up as more countries adapt into cryptocurrency as the mode of exchange.
Posted by emiaj55 on 12-06-2018
Well, I think that although Etherium has shown a good performance recently I would always go for investment in the Bitcoin. Bitcoin is one of the most reliable and popular cryptocurrencies available in the market. Even if there has been a reduction in the value of Bitcoin recently, I still think that investment in Bitcoin is bound to get you good profits in the future.

I agree with you. If you have bitcoins you can use it just like real money, however, for ethereum and rest of the crypto currency, you will have to exchange first of you want to use them. That's why bitcoin is always powerful compared to other currencies.

My thought is, since they both seem pretty important in the cryptocurrency market , is to invest half of the amount you intend to invest on ethereum and one half to bitcoin, following the "never put all your eggs in one basket" mindset. If you had to choose though I would go for the classic bitcoin , because it has proved it's endurance over the years.
Posted by GeorgeDr on 12-06-2018
That's a good strategies. They always say do not put all eggs in one basket. By diversifying your investment and investing on ethereum and bitcoins at the same time, you are doing safe investment.

I would not invest in either. Crypto market now is very volatile and highly risky to invest in. Most of the governments are against crypto currencies and I would not risk myself investing in such a market.
Posted by kaushikangara on 12-07-2018
I have to agree with you. I just don't want to risk my hard-earned money to something that's not yet stable and that's very risky. I don't know, but I can't put my 100% trust in it yet
Posted by theresajane on 12-07-2018
My exact sentiments, my friend. I think now is not the perfect time to invest in both. As soon as government or banks acknowledge it, I might jump into the bandwagon.
Posted by NerdIndeed on 12-07-2018
Crypto market is volatile. Investment itself is risky. Whether you invest in stock market, real estate or even gold, there is no guarantee that you will have profits. Therefore, you should never label crypto as high risky, everything is risky. As far as governments being against crypto currency is concerned I believe this is a temporary situation.
Posted by vinaya on 12-10-2018
I'm not sure that I would advise anyone to invest in crypto at the moment. Everything seems to be going wrong with it at the moment. Everything is going wrong as the crpto markets continue to decrease in value. I think the main reason is because no one understands cryptos fully. There is too much unpredictability about it. Crypto was considered a good bet because of the lack of central authority but as usual governments have found a way to impose regulation on crypto's. I think that one day we could wake up to zero as a value for bitcoin. I definitely would not advise you to invest in Ethereum because that is more of an unknown. If you want to invest in crypto for now stick with bitcoin.

When the market starts going down, it is an indicator that you should start investing. Bitcoin has lost its value by more than $3000. A month ago it would have cost you around $7000 to buy one bitcoin, how you can buy it for around $3500. If you start buying now, you will earn profits a couple of months later because bitcoins will again rise.
Posted by vinaya on 12-10-2018
I actually am just familiar with Bitcoin. However, I still cannot put my trust to it as it's know to be very unstable. I can't just put my money and invest in it. Perhaps, in the future, I would think again.
Posted by theresajane on 12-07-2018
I'm not really familiar of these two especially the latter. If given the chance I will invest some money because I don't think it's stable and trusted and what if you can not get your money back.
Posted by luv2xacosta on 12-07-2018
Investments are always risky. Whether it is fiat currency or cryptocurrency there is always a chance you won't get your money back. What you should do is to never invest what you cannot afford to lose. Invest if you want but don't overdo it. Remember that fortune favors the bold.

Between Bitcoin and Ethereum which one should invest in: In my case, I am not a risky person interms of this especially if it is involves in my earned money for me it is also consider as bet and i don't ever try to joyned such kind of investment. In this cryptocurrency we don't have any clue where it goes up or down or when is the best time to invest. But i have a paln to try that bitcoin but not investung my own earned money but to the bitcoins that Ive collected for free in the faucet but not now maybe if it good enough to use.

Exactly, we have to wait for some time and see how the trend goes. Wait for some of the governments to officially recognize Bitcoin as a regular currency and only then we can start investing in them.

You do not have a clue because you do not know about it. can you guess whether real estate price will go up or down, can you guess whether your stocks will gain value or lose value? All kinds of businesses are unpredictable.
Posted by vinaya on 12-10-2018
In cryptocurrency, I'm familiar only with the bitcoin so I would choose bitcoin for this than the other one. I think bitcoin is going down so bitcoins situation today is not really good. I hope it will go back to normal.
Posted by nekonieden on 12-09-2018
When the price goes down, you should start buying, when the price goes up you should start selling. This is how crypto currency market.
Posted by vinaya on 12-10-2018
I am not really keen on crypt currency investment but if given a choice that I have to pick one then I will opt for Bitcoin because that is the most popular. I have noticed in the internet that popularity counts a lot. Look at Facebook which was going side by side with Twitter in the early years but due to the popularity of Facebook it has now gone to new heights with the more than 2 billion users while Twitter still has to reach a billion.
