Bitdefender

Bitdefender
BitDefender is a Romanian developed antivirus software that was founded in 2001 by Florin Talpee™ and Maƒriuca Talpee™ - their main office is in Bucharest Romania but also have offices in a couple other countries like the US or United Arab Emirates.

At the moment the price for BitDefender total security package is $44.99 for one year covering most operation systems out there like Windows, Mac OS or Android.

Personally this is my favorite antivirus at the moment. I actually used to be a big Norton user back in the day but I switched years ago looking for something lighter that won't eat to much of my RAM memory.

Pros
Bitdefender 2017 includes Wi-Fi Security Advisor which evaluates the weakness levels or every wifi network you connect to and gives you a full report on all the variabilities found. So if you are always on the move and use hotel/coffee shops WIFIs this feature is perfect.
The Bitdefender Central feature allows you to take pictures from your mobile devices by logging in into an admin account. This can help a lot if you mobile devices ever get stolen.
Has a great feature for MAC OS named Time Machine which allows you to roll back your system after a ransomware attack (yes Mac OS has become vulnerable for a long time now)

Cons
It may have some problems with filtering your online traffic and some users experienced problems with videos that don't play on certain websites.
Some users claim that Bitdefender won't protect you 100% of the times from ransomware.

BitDefender is better.

I have never liked Norton Security, I do not believe that they offer the best virus protection as they claim. Bitdefender however, does lives up to it's hype. Bitdefender has never failed me, not once. Norton on the other hand basically didn't detect that there was a trojan on my computer which it's suppose to do..

Yep

I actually never tried Bit defender. But after i tried Norton i would never use it even if i have to go unprotected. Very annoying software. But reading customer reviews about Bit defender makes it very interesting and in compare to this two i would go with Bit Defender this time, to keep my system secure

Bit Defender anyday

I have had the privilege of using both these anti virus softwares in my time and I have to say Bit defender is beautifully made. A perfectly defined system built to last and protect. I would recommend anyone who wants to keep they're system secure to invest in bitdefender

I prefer bitdefender

My life as a computer engineer I've come across various antivirus, the bitdefender is a good option ,at least you have quite a number of virus under check.

Antivirus vary and selection depends on the kind of activities you decide to engage in, if your system is not connected to the net then you have less to worry about. Systems that connect to the net and contain vital informations should ensure their system has a good antivirus running and it's up-to-date.

The bit defender is robust and can handle quite a good number of virus attack. No single antivirus has it all, so check for the one that serves the occasion best.

Norton Security

Norton Security
Norton Security is an antivirus software developed and created by Symantec Corporation. This is a global know brand active in this industry for a long time. I remember using Norton back when my parents bought me my first PC back in 1998.

Same as Bitdefender it offers a full range protection on multiple platforms and operation systems with different features for their direct and specific needs.

The current price for the Deluxe package that offers a number of features similar with Bitdefender is at this moment at $44.99 for one year.

Pros
Can protect against the most type of spyware, malware and viruses on both your PC and smartphone. Will allow a secure connection to the internet making your information and data private. The whole package can be installed from one file, unlike some of it competitors you don't need to install additional modules to have the complete package, everything will be installed once. Has a cool relaxing interface unlike Bitdefender for example with a very "dark" look.

Cons
Most users argue that Norton Security doesn't offer a very stable platform with a low virus protection inside web browsers. When browsing online malware will be your greatest fear and you don't want something that lacks in this department.

So much hate.

Why do so many people hate Norton Security? I've used it for years, mainly because it came free with my PC. It works very well and I've never had a virus issue.

I have never tried Bitdefender but I HATE Norton. About three years ago, I had Norton on my desktop. My computer ended up crashing, and I lost all the pics on my computer, as well as some documents and other stuff. I thought that I was protected, but Norton did not do the job that it was suppose to. I will never go with Norton again. I have lost my confidence in them 100%.
