Black Coffee

Black Coffee
Many people like black coffee. They enjoy the coffee brewed and hot without any cream or sugar added to it. It is a dark and bitter flavor, however, this is how many people prefer it. It seems like older people prefer coffee this way as opposed to the younger generation which has become accustomed to the sweeter type of coffee drinks like the ones at Starbucks.

Pros
  • Quicker and easier to make
  • Less grams of sugar and calories

Cons
  • Bitter
  • Boring

Black for me

I take my coffee black without cream or sugar. I like the taste of coffee and don't want it overpowered with strong creams and sugar. Also adding sugar and cream just adds extra calaries that are not needed.

I have to choose this one

I am allergic to milk and dairy products and so I always have black coffee. Having a cup of coffee in the morning makes me feel energized and ready to tackle the day. If I feel tired during the day then I usually have some coffee and this makes me feel better. I write journal articles and having coffee while writing my articles seems to give me some ideas. At times I do add a little bit of sugar to my coffee. Moreover black coffee is much healthier to have compared to coffee with cream and sugar. I value my health more and this is yet another reason why I choose to have black coffee.

Black Nectar

As I don't particularly like instant or packaged coffee and have always much preferred the many different flavors of really good quality, freshly ground coffee - for me - nothing quite compares to the - unmasked – smooth, rich flavor of a cup of strong, unadulterated piping hot black coffee - especially first thing in the morning.

Oh and just in case you're wondering - I've always drunk my coffee black - as to me adding any additional ingredients seems a bit pointless - when they would totally detract from the wonderfully rich robust flavor that real coffee has.

I love Black Coffee

I really like the flavors of coffee, even the most bitter ones, and if I am going to get something sweet, which I do occasionally, 'll get a Mexican hot cocoa or a frappucchino or a milkshake or malt. I enjoy imported coffees, and I am particularly addicted to African coffees, especially the ones from Kenya, and drowning their flavors out with cream and sugar seems to destroy the point for me. You can literally taste the African continent when you drink these. Plus, in my middle age, I have very much lost my sweet tooth for some reason.

I also want to cut sugar in my coffee cause my cousin and friends also told me that they cut their sugar little by little until they can appreciate coffee more without sugar. That's why i also start to lessen the sugar in my coffee and i hope i can soon drink it too without sugar. I know it's getting bad for my health specially that i'm drinking coffee a lot. Thanks for the advice. :)

All you need

I prefer black coffee basically because it gets the job was done which is keeping you awake. If you put sugar in your coffee because of the rebound effect you'll have the opposite result and will feel more tired

Both Are Good But

I like both types and depending on my mood I could go for either one, but most of the time I will most likely go for black coffee instead of one with cream and sugar. I always just preferred black coffee even when I was younger and I only came to appreciate cream and sugar in my coffee when I was a bit older. Sometimes if I am in a more playful mood I might go for that and if it's the chilled type of coffee I will definitely go for that but for most times I would go with plain black.

Coffee with Sugar and Cream

Coffee with Sugar and Cream
Many people like to add sugar and cream to their coffee. Some use a lot, and some use just a little. Milk or half-and-half can be used as the cream. There are also now a wide variety of flavored creamers available. This sweetens the coffee and adds a creamy texture. A lot of the bitterness of pure coffee is hidden by the addition of cream and sugar.

Pros
  • Sweet and creamy
  • Cools down the coffee a bit making it easier to drink it sooner

Cons
  • Adds additional sugar grams and calories
  • Can cool down your coffee too much

Black is awful

I barely drink Coffee, to be honest with you. It's the same with tea as well. I just don't drink either. I prefer to drink Hot Chocolate especially when it's a lot colder over here in the United Kingdom. But when I do drink coffee, it has to be with sugar and cream. I've had Black Coffee once and it was just awful. I will never have it ever again lol

Sugar and Cream

To be honest, I do both occasionally depending on my mood. I have no problem with either because I love the taste of both black coffee and coffee with sugar and cream. With black coffee, the taste is a little bitter and stronger. If you genuinely love the taste of a coffee bean, you'll most likely enjoy this. Personally, I do coffee with sugar and cream slightly more often. Once poured, the cream whipped within the coffee creates this milky taste of deliciousness in every sip. Mix that with a little sugar, it offsets the strong coffee taste just enough.

Coffee with Sugar and Cream

I have a friend that drinks black coffee with no sugar and honestly, to me that is very disgusting. I am one of those people who drink coffee for the taste rather than energy because I don't feel the effects of caffeine when I drink it. Cream and sugar taste a lot better than regular black coffee, at least they taste a lot better to me.

I don't like strong coffee

I'm not really a coffee drinker, so I don't really enjoy the black one, the strong one. If I have to drink coofee for whatever reason I'll stick with this one, with sugar and cream (maybe a bit of milk also). I don't enjoy it that much, but it's better than the black one.

3 in 1

I would rather drink 3 in 1 coffee than black coffee which taste so bitter as if I was drinking tar!

Nowadays, most coffee comes in small sachets, coffee, sugar and cream , very light, convenient to bring along in my pocket , all I need is a mug and hot boiling water. There are assorted coffee available now, coconut flavor, hazelnut, mocha flavor, to add in the extra zing to satisfy consumers taste buds.

I love mocha coffee with sugar and cream very much

Sugar and Milk

I personally prefer to drink the sugar and milk combination. And that's how it can be added there as well. So one has to see how that works out in that case. I personally don't see the taste out of the black coffee much either. Most of the north and south american coffee has changed things with the dark coffee.

Nothing is richer than real cream !

I totally enjoy my morning cup of coffee, and I have never learned to like it black. I have had to drink black coffee occasionally and it can be done; but coffee is much improved with the addition of some real cream, and some kind of sweetener. I also like flavored coffee, and when I can afford it, I splurge and buy some of that. Chocolate raspberry is my favorite flavor, and just the aroma of the beans is awesome.

I know about all the different types of flavored coffees available but never came across the Chocolate Raspberry one. I will definitely like to try this now. I hope that this is available in my country else I will try to buy it online. It must be really tasty and addictive I guess.

coffee with cream and sugar

I don't drink coffee too much now and I don't like black coffee because of its strong and bitter flavor. I prefer to add creamer/milk and sugar when I drink one. I'm also fan of different flavor coffee like cappuccino, creamy latte, mocha, choco latte and other flavored coffee.

Creamy and Sweet, please

Yes, I like my coffee very creamy and very sweet and even when I'm watching calories, I will not go without at least whole milk and a shallow teaspoon of sugar with sweetener to round it out. I cannot stand not having some kind of milk in my coffee and would rather go without than drink it black. My favorite is my second cup of the morning. The second cup because the first one is gone too fast to really enjoy. That's one of the good and one of the bad parts of drinking coffee with cream. It makes it cool enough to drink right away, but it also makes it cool enough to drink too quickly right away.

sugar!

I don't like coffe that much, but if I ever have to drink it because someone offer it and I can't reject it I guess I would rather drink it with sugar and some milk or cream . I don't like the bitter taste of coffe when it doesn't have sugar on it. I would only drink it this way and if I have no other choice... I'm more of a tea person.

Mixed.

I'm addicted to coffee (it's definitely one of my favorite drinks in the whole world), but an ironic fact in this is that I hate black coffee,.

My coffee has to always be mixed with something else otherwise I can't drink it. The most that I can do is smell it, haha!

With sugar and cream

I'm a coffee drinker. Hot or cold i drink coffee everyday about three times. I drink black coffee but i can't drink it without sugar. I love brewed coffee cause i like my coffee strong. Though, I prefer to drink my coffee with creamer and a little sugar. I don't want it sweet but i appreciate it more with a creamer or milk.

I totally understand and respect your post, and I used to be the same way, but I started cutting sugar sources out of my diet, and I think after establishing that pattern, in tandem with not wanting to give up my coffee fix, I became much more accustomed to drinking it black, and then, after a time, it became my preferred way to drink it!

MILK instead of Cream

Well, people like to drink Black poisoned coffee so let them intake whatever bitter they like. But when it comes to me then no matter what others say about the Black coffee, I just can't gobble it down. As a matter of fact, i would add milk in it with one teaspoon of sugar to get the warmth with the taste.

Sugar and cream for me

I like black coffee with sugar, but without it is not drinkable for me at all because it is too bitter. Coffee with cream and sugar is delicious and more friendly to your stomach, you can drink a cup of coffee with a piece of cake or whatever you want to have with it, is a good choice. It doesn't have to cool down your coffee because the milk or cream can be warm too.

The taste of sweetness

Coffee with sugar and cream is the best. I love sweets so sometimes I put a lot sugar and I want my coffee more creamier than the original coffee. It's best to drink with a toasted bread with butter. I always craving for eat. A perfect meal for breakfast.

I like coffee with cream and sugar. because it's more delicious and good for cold weather. sometimes I also like drinking black coffee but most of the time I drink coffee with cream and sugar. I like the taste of creamy coffee it's very yummy. But in sugar, I just put a small amount because I don't like to sweat. And it's not healthy for our body.

Coffee with Creamers

They say that black coffee is very strong and can keep you awake the whole day, so I never tried it and I don't like the taste of bitter. Although I only drink coffee when I get really sleepy, I make sure I have sugar and creamers along.

More tasty

I think that coffee is best enjoyed when the Coffee is taken with Sugar and Cream. It makes the beverage drink more sweet and tasty in the mouth, and also it makes it probably enjoyable more than if it taken just black.

Always Sugar and Cream

Coffee without sugar and cream is like "I love you" without "you" and "I'm yours" without "yours". It is like an iced tea without ice or and egg pie without egg.

I like black and plain coffee with out cream every time I drink when I am doing a task. Drinking coffee is one of my favorite hobby and my day is not completed with out drinking even a single cup of coffee. The strong brewed coffee increase my lust to consume it everyday because it is more effective to have effective and passive thinking.

Well at the moment I'm trying to cut out as much caffeine from my diet as possible, so technically neither since I've only been drinking tea. But, on the rare occasion that I do drink coffee, I take my coffee black. Nothing beats the good, clean taste of a fine dark roast coffee. I don't mean to be a purist, but personally I feel that if you have to add stuff like sugar and cream to your coffee to "improve" the flavor, I don't think you really like coffee all that much. A lot of my friends admit that they hate coffee but like the buzz, so they stuff as much sugar and cream in there as possible in order to drown out the flavor.

I drink coffee every day, especially the black coffee with low sugar. But of course if there is no other coffee than the one with sugar and cream I will drink one of that but only if my favorite coffee is over. I like to drink it black because it keeps me fresh considering that I wake up at 5 am every morning, so, I need a stimulant to make me active.

Before, I am into drinking balack coffee with 2.5 teasspoons of brown sugar. But nt anymore eversince I consulted my for how many years dead smallest toenails, to a dermatologists. She said , they are with fungi. So, she told me to avoid sweets because they thrive on sweet blood. From then on, my coffee is just black. No brown sugar and I am used to it already. Though, because I avoided sweets I lost weight and I don't look good. So, I would eat sweets every now and then, and since I can only eat sweets through fruits, I eat lts of it, so I again gained some weight and it's the weight I like. So,even those 3 in 1 coffee, I don't drink them anymore.

I drink my coffee with milk. Ocassionally, I will put half and half or some kind of creamer in my coffee but I don't do that very often. I just drink the coffee as I see fit. I l do not like it black or with sugar. A bit of milk in my coffee is how I like to drink it and how I usually have it. It is one of the things that I enjoy in my cup every day. I like coffee but only in a certain way.

Usually drinking coffee with milk is a good combinations of taste. I even try everyday to drink coffee while adding more powdered milk. Sometimes I drink pure black coffee, and sometimes it is not. For me, drinking coffee give me more comfort from everyday stress in our lives. We usually forget to give rest in ourselves, or we simply drink coffee.

I don't know why most of the people, Usually don't realized the goodness of drinking coffee. I always feel more pleasure to drink more on it. Milk also can add more special benefits from it while adding milk to black coffee. In my case, I love to add some sugar for me to enjoy.

I havenjoy drank coffee in over three months. I just seemed to have lost the taste for it. I use to love coffee and looked forward to my morning coffee. Many years ago I drank it with sugar and milk, then I started drinking it with just cream, then i started drinking it with milk and eventually I drank it black. I found when you drank it black it was more enjoyable and you could really taste the different in all the coffee brands. They all have their own unique tastes.

Neither really. The plain black coffee is just too bitter and strong for me. I have tried it several times but it is impossible for me to drink that and to enjoy. Then the coffee with sugar and cream is not too healthy for you - I don't like putting extra unneeded sugar into my drinks or foods.

This is why my preferred choice of coffee is around 1/3 of coffee and 2/3 of milk. Instead of sugar, I put in Stevia. It has no calories and it is basically the healthy version of sugar. I recommend it to everybody.

I like to drink coffee with pure black. Because it feels more comfortable in my stomach. The more I drink coffee, the more I feel the pleasure within my inner mind. I don't usually drink coffee in the morning. I only drink coffee in afternoon, and evening. I understand people don't really get use to it when drinking black coffee, because of it's bitter taste.

Coffee helps me a lot of tasks to finish, and it gives me a lot of ideas. When ever theres a chance of losing ideas on making documentations of my thesis research, I would rely to drink coffee instead. But drinking to much of it would also not a good thing. Because, as saying always goes; Too much is not good.

I must be getting older because I'm beginning to prefer everything as natural as I can get them. If I can pick my tea directly off the tree I would certainly opt for that choice! For now I would settle for black coffee, in my case black cocoa would be more like it. I would use almond milk or hemp milk as the creamer and for sweeteners I would use a pinch of brown sugar or some honey. Aside from being more healthier than adding artificial sweeteners and cream, I genuinely love the taste and it satisfies me plus it's quite fulfilling. I'm not a big coffee fan and Starbucks I've tried a few times but nothing compares to the black natural goodness of the rich tea blend of coffee or cocoa from the vine into my cup!

I have to have flavored creamer in my coffee. I can't drink it black as it is too strong. I would prefer cappuccino but since I can't always get them, I just use French vanilla coffee creamer. I like some other flavors but the vanilla is my favorite and always hits the spot first thing in the morning. I don't really like just regular cream and sugar either because I am too used to the flavored, but it will do in a pinch and I need coffee.

I don't remember drinking black coffee in recent times but I have tasted it before. Black coffee is nothing but coffee to make you awake. It has no taste at all unless you are a coffee addict. I seldom drink coffee but when I dine out with my sister, it is her custom to drink coffee after a meal so I join her just for company. What I want in coffee is the creamer. It's actually the exact combination of sugar and cream that makes the coffee appealing to me. So if there is no creamer then I would probably not drink it.

I think many people don't know how the lack of the sugar and cream is going to be good. Many people have the dark coffee. And that's something people have to understand. Because some people have different taste. I am raised with the coffee drinking habits where I prefer to have sugar and the milk. And so I prefer to have that if you ask me. And that's good enough in many ways too.

Definitely not Black Coffee for me as I have very low tolerance on caffeine. I do love coffee with 3-in-1 mix mostly ready mixed powder and just need to pour on a glass of hot water, stir and enjoy. I do tried other blends and brand of coffee if my favorite is not available and I think I mostly experienced palpitations and my mind is really floating around and cannot think really clear because of the effects of caffeine so I rarely drink one.
