Chocolate Pudding

Chocolate Pudding
One of the worlds most famous desserts. Great tasting and advertised in almost every form. From regular liquid in a cup or glass - to those famous pudding pops from JELLO brand. Also goes good mixed in with cakes and brownie recipes.

Pros
Tastes good, and sweet. The way a dessert should taste. Has a distinct chocolate flavor also.

Cons
If not done correctly (such as too much water added or overcooked) it can end up tasting watery and bland - or develop that gross 'pudding skin' on top.

Love Me Some Chocolate Pudding

I love chocolate pudding. It does not matter if it is instant or cook, or even from a can. It is so good. One of my all time favorite ways to eat it is with cool whip. What a tasty treat. I remember growing up as a dessert mom would make chocolate pudding and put it in fancy glasses with a scoop of cool whip and some chocolate sprinkles. What a great treat!

Pudding for me

I love chocolate pudding. It is one of my favorite desserts. I have trued the mousse but I did not care for the texture of it. I find it does not have a very strong taste either which was another turnoff for me. I prefer pudding of any kind over mousse.

Love it

I love puddings and even though mousse isn't bad either I just really like the texture that pudding has. It's so easy to eat and full of flavor. Some mousses can taste a bit weird.

I also often make the pudding myself and it's fast. I just use that bought pudding powder, add some milk and cook it up. It's a great dessert if you have company and want to serve them something sweet.

I love pudding!

Personally, I really don't mind either in this comparison. I remember trying and liking both chocolate pudding and mousse as a child. If I had to choose between the two, however, I'd go with chocolate pudding. Overall, I prefer the texture of pudding compared to chocolate mousse. Especially when fresh whip cream added on top! I still eat pudding to this day! Normally, if it's on the menu, I'll order it as dessert to finish off my meal.

pudding

I love puddings, regardless of flavor. Once I had MILO pudding, mango pudding and chocolate pudding. These puddings are alike jellies or jello. Kids love them because puddings are soft in texture but thick in flavor.

Give Me The Pudding

I want chocolate pudding pie. I want it made with an OREO cookie crust and covered in whipped cream. I want it ice cold and served on a plate at my grandmother's house by the fireplace full of fresh pine knots from behind the house out of the thicket. i want my childhood back. I say YES to chocolate pudding!

Bring me one.

Chocolate is good anyway (and I'm not saying that just because I'm addicted to it), but chocolate pudding is an almost unbeatable option. It's really good and one of the best desserts in the whole world (that's for sure).

Puddings are life.

Pudding is amazing, because it has a better feel to it, I don't really like stuff that has too much liquid in it, because it just doesn't feel right. Don't get me wrong, I do appreciate a nice mousse, however my choice goes to the puddings, because they have a better consistency.

I go for this.

Chocolate pudding has got that special taste which you can't get from any other chocolate which is the reason I always enjoy it with my fiance after day's activities at work.

Pudding First, Mousse Second

They're both chocolate! I'm not choosing. I'm going to have both! But I'll have the pudding first. Then the mousse. And if there is anything else being served with chocolate, I'm going after it! LOL.

Chocolate Pudding

I so love this chocolate pudding and this is one of my favorite desserts, especially whenever I go to a buffet, this is one of the things you find in the dessert section. I do love the texture and the taste of it as it is so addicting to have. I do also like the presentation whenever I see this in a buffet. Can't wait to taste this again. :D

More indulgent!

To me when I want something chocolatey, I want it to taste indulgent - so chocolate pudding wins out for me over chocolate mousse. That's not to say that I don't enjoy chocolate mousse though - both are delicious!!

Pudding

I like chocolate pudding better. Mousses tend to be eggy in taste for me. It like how pudding taste more dense. It really a preference. I just prefer pudding than mousse.

Chocolate Mousse

Chocolate Mousse
Often mistaken for chocolate pudding but it's not. It's a lot runnier and thinner. Overall it's easier to swallow and is more liquidy than pudding. Overall has a softer taste.

Pros
Tastes great, strong chocolate flavor, and can be improved with many different ingredients added which won't ruin the overall taste.

Cons
At times is not as sweet as pudding but that can depend more on how it's prepared and by whom.

This

I would love to have both but if I had to choose then it would have to be the Chocolate Mousse. I mean I love Chocolate Pudding but there is just something about Chocolate Mousse that I just love.

Mouuse

Although I love chocolate pudding, I like the light and airy mousse. Jello makes a mousse that has only 60 calories and it tastes just as good as any high calorie pudding. I will pick mousse.

Chocolate mousse

I always like Chocolate mousse, and I prefer it not to be so sweet too. I just enjoy the taste and how smooth it is. I am not sure if I have tasted Chocolate pudding before, though I might like it too, Chocolate mousse is always my first choice.

Mousse

I think in terms of taste and the quality, I'd go with these. I have some really good experience so far with these. And compared to pudding they seem to taste lot better too. I'd definitely prefer them over anything. I don't think there are any other good food options. But yeah we should definitely consider them as well.

better texture

I like this a little more than chocolate pudding. I find pudding a little weird because the texture is confusing to me. I don't like how it is like jello and yogurt. I like it sometimes though so I agree that it does taste good, but I just prefer mousse because if you freeze it to the right state it feels like ice cream almost.

Mousse all the way!

I find that chocolate mousse is more of a "grown up" version of pudding. It is more rich and decadent. In most cases, it is very light and airy while still packing a punch in the flavor department.

Mousse also doesn't get that skin on the top like pudding tends to. That can sometimes be a put off.

For me this is a difficult choice, I like Chocolate Mousse as well as Chocolate Pudding, I simply cannot choose one over the another. I like the chocolate flavor in these items.

Mousse is the modern dessert now that I see in almost all buffet restaurants. In Seoul last month, I saw the array of mouse inside the delicatessen section of Lotte Supermarket. Well, I guess it is the mouse now that makes people forget all about the good old pudding. But to be honest, I don’t relish chocolate pudding although I like the butter pudding with fruits particularly the green grapes.

I'm a chocoholic so both as long as they are vegetarian. Mousses tend to have gelatine but these days some companies use a substitute ingredient. I do like puddings with gooey chocolate inside and it's more about the chocolate quality than the quantity of the pudding for me. I'd rather have a rich smaller portion than a larger one that was mediocre.

I am a chocolate lover and finds it difficult to make a choice over here. Both of them are actually very good desserts and quite easy to make. Maybe I can try to prepare one of them for Christmas. I think that my family will love it.

I think there are plenty of variations of the pudding out there. I don't personally like the chocolate pudding. Because most of the pudding makers are not making it right. I'd say on that point I'd look at some other options. I guess Mousse is one good option for me there as well. I guess mousse is much better choice for me.

I choose chocolate pudding. I grew up on the stuff so I'm partial and bias to it. Mousse is fine but when up against chocolate pudding - I'll always choose pudding.

Chocolate pudding for me,I just loved the homemade pudding. My mom used to spoil us with this pudding and we loved it to bit.It has great taste and nice flavor. A really nice dessert for the entire family, I learned to do same for my family and I hope to keep up with their demands.

Oh goodness, I'm a choco-holic so picking one is impossible, it truly is! I've made both, since I love preparing desserts, and I have to say that both are incredibly fun to make and eat, they're simple, classic and yet so rich in flavor that it's impossible not to love them both.

Pro-tip: To avoid the gross pudding-skin on top, make sure to cover it with plastic wrap when saving it on the fridge! If the plastic wrap sticks tightly to the surface of the pudding, you'll never have to worry about that gross little layer ever again.

Chocolate pudding is a lot tastier than the Mousse, it tastes sweet tho you will not get tired of eating it.

I think that anything that is not a chocolate bar does not taste nice. I wonder why people use chocolate as a flavor in my opinion I don't think that it makes any difference. I think in this case that chocolate mousse and chocolate pudding tastes the same. I think the only difference is that chocolate mouse is really soft and it literally melts in your mouth. Other than this no difference in my opinion.
