Disney Star Wars The Force Awakens BB-8 Talking Figure, 9.5 Inch

Disney Star Wars The Force Awakens BB-8 Talking Figure, 9.5 Inch
In just a few weeks, the new chapter of the Star Wars saga will be released! In the meanwhile, why don't you relive the moments from the previous movie, THe Force Awakens, with a toy based on the best character in hte movie? I'm talking of course of BB-8! This cute little rolling ball was the android featured in various scenes in the movie, and while it didn't have a major role it became very popular even before the release of the movie, in trailers and sneak peek. There are a multitude of toys based around its figure and this is one of the best one: the talking figure is being sold on Amazon by different seller, for a price that's around 44,84 and 50 dollars. This cute little droid will move around your room, rolling like in the movie, moving both his body and his head. You can easily activate it with two different ways: you could simply press a button, and it will start moving, or you could choose the much cooler sound activation. Yell, say something loud, make a lot of noise, and BB-8 will start moving! It doesn't just move, it also includes a multitude of different sound effects directly from the movie, 17 sound effects to be precise. Of course this multitude of amazing features come with a price, and the droid won't move on his own: it need a form of energy - batteries! To be precise, it requires 4 AA batteries, but there is nothing to worry about since they are already included in the toy. It's a very cute droid, and if you liked it it he movie you must have it in your house! It measures 9,1 inches (without inluding the two detachable antennas) so it doesn't take too much space! It will be of good company with his bleep sounds.

  • Batteries included
  • Looks like the movie
  • Very cute
  • Make different noises
  • Great size
  • A must have for Star Wars fans

  • Arrived without instructions
  • The toy was already used and dirty
  • Box was damaged
  • It broke after using it twice
  • Didn't make nay noise
  • The voice activation didn't work
  • The price is very high
  • Battery compartment difficult to open

I would have actually chosen the R2-D2 Talking Figure but the fact that it doesn't talk put me off it. The price is very high and it doesn't even talk, what's the point in buying it? Because of that, I chose the Disney Star Wars BB-8 Talking Figure which I'm sure kids will love to receive as a present and play around with.

The Force Awakens

I think this is the best game for young minds and kids everywhere should enjoy it. It is just one of the best games out there for youngsters who like Star Wars I think. Even though the price is high, kids of all ages should enjoy it.

I do see this works on Youtube and it's truly adorable despite it is really pricey. I don't mind spending money on this one because I know that it's really worth it. I do like the technology that has been embedded in this and I know that I will definitely enjoy playing this together with my kid cousin. I'm pretty sure that the R2D2 does only have the same technology like other robots out there.

R2-D2 Talking Figure - 10 1/2 - Star Wars: The Force Awakens

R2-D2 Talking Figure - 10 1/2 - Star Wars: The Force Awakens
Not everyone liked The Force Awakens. The most hardcore fans thought that, while better than the prequel trilogy, the original three movies are still the best one, a prime example of space opera, with a amazing plot and lot of memorable characters. And while Yoda, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and all their friends and enemies are cool, in those movies there were also incredible droids. One was C3PO, and the other one that many people like the most was the tiny little fellow known as R2-D2. Those two droids are the only characters that appear in every single movie of the saga, including the Rogue One spinoff, so you can easily imagine how popular they are! If you like R2-D2, you can have it in your house thanks to this talking figure, which is being sold on Amazon for 54,71 dollars for free shipping. The concept is pretty similar to the BB-8 one: it moves around, and you can activate it either with a button, or with sound (say something, make noise, yell at it... whatever). However, it have slightly more sounds: 20 to be exactly. And while it the movie R2-D2 never talks, but make a series of noises (all included of course) the toy include the iconic princess Leia phrase "Help me, Obi Wan Kenobi. You are my only hope". R2-D2 is slightly bigger than BB8, coming with a 10 and half inches, and for this reason it requires two batteries more. But like the other droid, the six AA batteries are already included in the package. This is a must have for any fan of the classic saga, for those who grow up with the classic old movies. It look exactly like the movies, with his typical blue and white colors, his iconic shape, and the sounds are exactly the same it made in the movie, from the bleep to that weird sound similar to a scream that it sometime made. It's already in every movie in the saga, so why can't it be in your home as well? This is the droid you are looking for!

  • Very cute
  • A classic and iconic Star Wars characters
  • Can make up to 20 different sounds
  • Batteries included
  • Well made
  • The lights on its head have two different colors (blue and red)

  • It didn't talk at all
  • Very noisy when it moves
  • The price is very high for what it offers
  • Instructions weren't included
  • Smaller than expected
  • Doesn't walk well on rugs and carpets

The Force Awakens wasn't a great movie. I feel like it was too disney-ish for star wars and even though bb-8 is cute, he will never be as popular as R2-D2. Everyone recognizes R2. The design is much better too.

I am not a fan of star wars, however, I have a kid and he might likea toy that speaks. Therefore, I might consider buying Disney Star Wars The Force Awakens BB-8 Talking Figure because it cost less than R2-D2 Talking Figure

I remember the R2-D2 in the first Star Wars movie. I was young then but it remains vivid on my mind the 2 robots C3PO and R2-D2. They are the characters that lent relaxing scenes in the movie. It seems that the drama stopped somehow whenever those 2 robots would appear. And although I couldn’t understand the sounds the robot makes, I was still enthralled that’s why I bought a dvd of that movie.
