Do You Like Nature Tripping?

Do You Like Nature Tripping?
Last Sunday August 13 ,while we were still in Limay, Bataan in the another province far from ours, here in the Philippines, we had the time to visit Mt. Samat National Shrine . We actually went to Bataan because we attended the burial of my hubby’s cousin, Saturday. So, we had the time to go to this beautiful place, Sunday. It is actually a place in honor of all the Filipino and American soldiers who bravely did the dead march and fought for the freedom of the Philippines from the Japanese colonization. It is a nice experience going up those stairs leading to the shrine and the cross on top of the mountain. It’s a different experience seeing the museum showing pictures of the brave men and women who fought the Japanese during the war and climbing the mountain where the tall cross is. Sad though, that the elevator inside the cross where it can lead us to the top of the cross was under repair. What about you, do you like to go nature tripping like this? What places like this have you visited already? Did you like the experience?

There is no people in this world who does not like the nature. About nature in my area- at Bangladesh, we have some great features. Like we have the world largest and longest sea beach named- cox's bazar sea beach- 140 KM long. We have a sea beach where you can see sun rise and sun set together named Kuakata sea beach. Moreover you can see the world largest mangrove forest named Shundharban. I love natural trip every time. The last I have been visited kuakata sea beach.

Thanks Centurion

Yes, I agree, most people like nature . Though, the young kids would I think, would choose the mall over nature trips though. But as one gets older, nature is much preferred. And it seems you are a beach person. :) We have lots of beaches, black and white sand beach in our place, so we somehow, get so attracted to a place like this, a Shrine on top of the mountain, because we are already accustomed to beaches.

I actually think young kids naturally like nature. Since they were young, they enjoy playing with sands, water and even mud. It's just that nowadays there are some parents who prefer to go to shopping mall, so they always bring the kids to the mall. I am not a very adventurous or sporty person, I just always bring my children to the parks and beaches sometimes. We go jungle hiking once in a while. It'd be easier for us if our children are older to go nature tripping so we don't need to carry them.

Actually, it will be indeed difficult for the parents t take their children to nature tripping especially hiking through those mountains. But at the beach, it would be easier and children really loves to play in the sand and water. But again the parents shuld really be with them in the beach and never let their eyes leave them, lest they unknowingly ho to the deeper part of the beach and that would be very dangerous.

Nature trips uplift your soul and somewhat relieve you from stress from the busy lifestyle of today. In fact, many shops and stores mimics the sounds produced by birds or running water just to give you the illusion of nature's presence.

That is true. Even the malls have a natural presence inside the mall. It gives the mall refreshing appearance and somehow these palm trees and plants emit oxygen inside the mall which is beneficial for the health of the mall goers.

Nature trip is great for city people who are working in the office and with a home that is surrounded by buildings. We need nature not only for the fresh air but also for the fresh view that we can see especially the animals and plants that are rare in the city. I grew up in a city apartment so I know that we have been missing so many natural things like plants and trees.

What I find fascinating about nature trips is that they make me feel closer to the Earth. I have been through few nature trips but they were memorable. Mountainoud areas are thr best nature trips for me, given that the weather is clear and not rainy. The fresh breeze just touches my soul. Nature is just so wonderful.

I can feel you. Yes, usually trips to a hill or a mountain is one of the best nature trips we can have. And when we reach the top, it seems we are so near heaven. And yes, the breeze there is simply so fresh and the greens all round is so refreshing. We went there, very early in the morning so we cannot see at first that cross on top of the mountain. And when eventually the fogs are gone, we we were in awe seeing the cross on top of the mountain.

I do! Even though I have never been able to visit famous places I always go to the municipal reserve. They have a place for trails and hiking which is awesome. I love going with my girlfriend so we can talk all the way through the process and when we're tired we'll sit down and just admire nature. Really a fantastic experience.

Yes. I absolutely love hiking and going out to explore the nature. It's great exercise but it's also amazing for calming down and seeing how beautiful everything around us is. My favorite trips usually involve mountains. I have hiked to most of the mountains that we have in our country. A few times we even traveled across the borders and it was great fun. I either go with my partner or one of my friends that's also a very passionate hiker. There's nothing nicer than exploring the nature and breathing some of the fresh air.

Oh, so you always go hiking. You really are a nature lover indeed. I admire people who loves hiking . Indeed, it is one way of an exercise. I don't do hiking even when I was younger. I only go up to mountains that have stairs like this. I tried going to the mountains before with my friends when we were teenagers. I accidentally rolled down the mountain and was caught by the base of a tree, much to my scare. So that ends my hiking to the mountains. Now, if I will climb a mountain with friends it has to have stairs. ha ha ha

There are endless benefits of stepping out of the house and enjoying nature. The clean fresh air with greenery all around coupled with the unique sounds of nature is so mesmerizing. The nature has the power to revitalize and rejuvenate our body. Enjoying nature is the best way to imbibe all the positive energy of the universe.

Nature has great healing powers. It can revive the most diseased and depressed humans. A nature trip can help us to take a break from our urban life. It gives us a chance to enjoy and explore our natural surroundings. This will bring us close to our nature. We will then make efforts to preserve and protect our natural surroundings.

Very well said, my friend. And I suppose you get to hike on mountains like others here have said. Indeed, going on nature tripping like this revitalizes us. The air is fresh, the sounds of the birds chirping are so nice to the ears. And if there are waterfalls, wow, that is really so awesome, because you can also bath under the waterfalls. And you are right, when we see these things, somehow it encites us to be preserve and protect our natural surroundings indeed.

Other than that One should visit Saif ul malook to have kniw the true meaning of beauty. Then there is Naltar valley ,Kalash valley and Neelam valley which truly deserves to be one of the best nature places in earth. I love to take nature trips and most times our vacations are planned around different nature sites that are available in the area. We took one vacation to sand dunes and another one to see a bunch of waterfalls in one area of our state. I love to see these natural wonders and to let my kids experience them too. It is nice to get away from the city and listen to the sounds of nature. It is very peaceful and refreshes your spirit.

Oh yes, waterfalls are very nice places to go also. Just the sound of the water falling from the waterfalls can make lull you to sleep, if you lie down near a place with a waterfall. Besides, you can go take a swim at the base of a waterfall.

I love nature! I would like to have a trip like this some day and do some exploration. I haven't been to a trip like this yet but I know it can be a great experience. The only trips I do from time to time is to the beach but that doesn't count as an "exploration" trip. Anyway, I hope to get the chance of doing something like this soon and spend some time in the nature somewhere.

The beach is also a nice place to commune with nature. The sea by itself can give you that calm feeling and the sound of the waves slapping the seaside can also be so calming and can lull you to sleep. Though, with mountains and valleys, it's a different kind of feeling. It somehow wants you to be always wanting to go back there, where there is peace and quiet and the air so fresh.

Traveling in nature is my favorite way to spend my spare time. Our last trip was on a wonderful road from my country called Transfagarsan, maybe some of you heard of this road that is in the mountains and have some wonderful view with grass, trees, fall, a lake and the big mountains. It was a wonderful trip, and for a few days, we forgot the rumor of the city!

Indeed, with that kind of place, you will forget the city where you live.

Most people in today's modern age lives a life surrounded by technology, stress at work and generally life at the big city, which is basically buildings and ads and people everywhere. Sometimes it's good for a person to go and feel refreshed at a new environment, be it: the mountains, jungles or the sea. It is only natural for humans to enjoy being around nature, due to the fact that everything else is created by us and the only natural things is - nature itself.

True. We will always look for a place where you can breath fresh air and be surrounded with lushful trees and plants. Walling or hiking to reach such place will add to the release of tensions and stresses we get from living in place where there are only buildings, computers and man made gardens. People will always look for a chance to be with nature.

Yes nature is great and we know this but we tend to be unaware of it until we actually get out there and experience the wind and clear blue sky and trees and pasture beneath our feet and smell the fresh outdoor scents which comprise of trees, fruits, sea breeze and whatever is blowing in the wind. When nature talks every one listens be it on a calm day where it can be observed in my area like other islands and animals afar off or just the howling wind transcending a message that we have so much to embrace from the great outdoors and we should always look forward for the hope and joy and prosperity of a new day.

I agree. We never know how nice it is to be with nature until we experience it ourselves. Some would not want hiking thinking of the tiredness they will experience when going up the mountain. But that tiredness will be gone once they see the beauty of being on top of the mountain where there are trees and chirping birds and you can see the view below. I myself, experienced this when we went to this place, Mt. Samat Memorial Shrine.

I love taking any trips I can, especially nature trips. As a budding photographer, landscape and urban photos are some of my favorite things to take while traveling, and they interest me so much because traveling gives me the chance to take photos of places and things I wouldn't normally have the opportunity to. Not to mention it's great just being able to get out and explore the world. To leave my little bubble for a bit and see what's outside of my every day work commute and routine.

Yes, when it is nature as the subject of photography, one cannot be in awe looking a them through pictures. How much more, when you yourself will go and experience how it is o be in such a wonderful place of nature. Once, you are in such a place, you cannot help feeling so relaxed and calm being surrounded by trees, chirping birds , wild flowers and even a river or a body of water.
Such experience will reinvigorate anyone from the hustle and bustle of the city and the stress of our jobs.

I love "nature tripping", as you call it. The last place I visited was the HOH Rain Forest in Port Angeles, Washington. It is thousands of years old with these gigantic cypress and spruce trees rising up into the sky for hundreds of feet. It was so beautiful and peaceful, and once I left the forest, I felt rejuvenated and had a sense of wonder. Nature can leave you with an incredible appreciation of life in general and a sense of beauty which you can carry with you long after you leave the location.

The great thing about exploring nature is that you don't have to go far or spend a lot of money to do it. No matter where you are in the world, someone, somewhere is going to find your part of the earth "exotic." I used to be kind of bummed out that I didn't have the money to travel to faraway places so that I could experience different landscapes, but then I got to thinking about how many people come to my neck of the woods to look at old growth forest or unspoiled coastline. After that I decided that I would become more of an expert on what was around me instead of remaining ignorant to all of its beauty. Try looking at your surroundings like you were from another country, one that is far from where you are now and that has a completely different climate and geography. You'd be amazed at how much you haven't really seen in areas that you look at all the time but have taken for granted.

I totally agree. One will never realize that the beauty of nature is what can make one truly relaxed and reinvigorated. Indeed, the people should not spend a lot of money going abroad and the like to see relax and de-stress. They just have to experience going to a place where nature abound and experience feeling so relaxed by just even breathing the fresh air that those trees and nature gves.

I absolutely love doing nature trips! Being outdoors and experiencing the different types of beauty that Earth has to offer, it is one of the greatest joys in life. Whenever my husband and I take trips, we involve at least one nature trip along the way. I like to do a variety of things in nature. I've been snorkeling in Hawaii and Guam. I've climbed volcanoes in Sicily. I've gone whale and dolphin watching out on the ocean. I've hiked in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. I've been to an elephant preserve and helped bathe elephants. I've explored castle ruins in Europe where the forest has reclaimed the land. I've wandered through vineyards surrounding medieval cities. I've simply gone to the local park and watched the birds and squirrels. Whatever I can, wherever I can, I just try to go out and experience parts of nature.

Though, That's all that we can climb. I have also done whale and dolphin watching in a beach on the next province. Though, i haven't done snorkeling, I have yet to experience that someday. i also haven't bathe an elephant nor even ride it but would love to also someday. I know we can do that in Thailand. And that's achievable because it is just near the Philippines.

Maybe you just have to research what are rhe beautiful natural places in your country, before traveling the world to explore more. I am sure your country has lots of them too. Indeed, many people have now discovered the good effect of nature tripping. That is why, here , inside some malls there are trees and gardens complete with man made waterfalls. This attracts a lot of people thus, also made them buy in restaurants in the mall. Good business with this kind of natural ambiance.

I would go as far as to say being out in the woods of the northern Appalachian mountains has provided me the most soothing, and valuable time I've ever spent. It does a person some good to get out into the woods and feel the grime on his skin, smell the pine and the maple. The forest is a splendid and dangerous environment which tests a man so that he may know where he is wanting, and yet also calms him from the unnatural business of modernity. I am no technophobe or isolationist, but everything in its due time.

Though, my friends and I have gone into a place planted with coconuts and we are with a man who went up a coconut tree and got those young coconuts falling down one by one on the ground. Then, he went down and opened them all for us to eat. It was a very happy exoerience, but we didn't stay long under those coconut trees because the coconuts may accidentally fall on us.

I definitely prefer nature over any other type of the camping. I think going into the nature with the family. It's a good experience. And you get to learn a lot of things. Nature tripping is one of the best things i've done in my vacations. One of the best places i've visit is sagada. If you want to experience a chilly climate and see the wonder of nature like cave, falls and mountain and even the culture of the people this is a must visit site. The hike in every tourist spot there is rough but once you reach your destination your tiredness will be swept away by the beauty of every scenery. I really love that place and been there twice. I love nature trips! I live by the beach, however, I'm a few minutes drive from a hiking trail that goes for miles. I love taking nature trips with my friends just to get away from the stresses life brings in general. Personally, I feel nature trips sort of rebalance and realign my Aurora/energy. My friends are like-minded and agree with this. I think people overlook nature tripping and find it rather boring, but it brings back your senses on basic things. I feel as people, we lose touch with life through our electronic devices. Nature is that one place where smartphones and tablets don't help you. Ultimately, you have to be in tune with nature in order to really see the values of nature tripping.

Definitely, this kind of nature tripping is exhelirating because it doesn't only exercise your body but also your brain. Wow, so you also went into a safari! That's one thing I would like to someday do, though I should be assured that those animals can't get near me , like what I see in documentaries, wherein the tiger went into the top of the jeep. I want all the people I know that I'm not boring so I go to places whenever and wherever I can so I can post it on facebook later on. Plus I can have the time to just relax and be with people I'm really close with and just have fun. Last time, I got to be with the two best friends of mine which I haven't seen for quite some time now, we visited a clear river in the northern province surrounded with forest. It's a good out of town trip and I'm still surprised of the difference of the air out there than here in the city. After that, we are planning to be somewhere much far away together with some of our families but I think it'll never happen, they always say things and not follow through.

So you are a fan of posting at facebook. Yes, going into places like these and posting them on facebook would entice your viewers to also go in such a nice place. At least you have friends who share your like of going nature tripping, because it would be fun and not scary when you are in a group. I must agree, that when you are in a place like that, you can feel the difference of being there and being in the heart of the city. The fresh air is obviously what makes it so refreshing plus the greenery and the sound of the water. Heavenly, is how you can describe the feeling and the place.

Yeah, I love nature as well. No matter how beautiful the things scientist brought our way, nature is more. In my town, there is a particular place that is filled with big rocks(mountain like rocks) where everybody including tourist across the world come every time to visit. I've been hearing some amazing stories about it until I visited the place one day. It was indeed wonderful, was exactly the way I've been told in all those stories. The rocks have rooms inside and everything inside&outside is beautiful to behold. I was also shown the cave that warriors of olden days normally stay inside the rock. The experience was a wonderful one.

Wow, that's amazing. So you mean those rocks were carved so a person can stay there? Or was it naturally hollow inside those big rocks? What place is this please so I can look at it in the net?

Smiling means a happy state of the mind and it's medicinal. You hardly see a sad person smiling. Whatever you are doing affects every part of our body just the way the moving of a car affects every part of its engine. When you smile then your eyes, face, kidney, liver, the hands are happy as well which is healthy according to scientific research. Some people are just fond of wearing a hard face, even if someone smile at them it's very hard for them to reciprocate. Whenever any challenges try to weigh me down, I just get a joke CD or funny pictures. Smiling many times daily is healthy for our well-being.

I have not been to jungle trekking that kind of trip. Just water falls and visit the historical sites in Malaysia which taught my kids about the British and Japanese occupation. The nature of the surrounding was a splendid site but very hot and sweating as we had to climb the stairs that were steep. We made a pact to come back every year to take photo of the same big tree where we stood together and see how we had change, not the tree.

So did you take a dip in the pool where the water falls? I have never tried that, but I have seen a lot of shows showing people taking a dip in the pool where the water falls. The water is said to be cold, though of course on a sunny day that will be tempered. You are funny, because you said that you made a pact that you will be coming back to that place and take a photo of the same big tree where you all stood together and see how you all changed, not the tree. ha ha ha I actually thought before I finish reading the sentence that its to see how the tree had changed. ha ha ha

I enjoy all kind of trips that you have to camp or you'll visit forest, mountains or any place where there are no people living there. It's great to spend some time without technology stuff, light and civilization because I can clear my mind for a moment and forget all my daily life problems, responsibilities and worries. Also, I can admire the nature, the trees, animals, the flowers, the ground, everything. I can breathe fresh air because there's no contamination. At night, I can see the stars because there's no light pollution.

You are so right! Nature trippng gives us a break from those high tech gadgets and technology. I helps us to be reinvigorated by breathing fresh air and seeing the beauty of nature. Indeed the air there has no contamination or not polluted unlike that in the city where most of us work. Though, I haven't tried being in a place like mountains where you can gaze at the stars at night. I know it must be very nice because you are on top of a mountain and it can be that the feeling is that you are so near the stars already. :)

Yes I do. I like it more than going out to the club or going to a high class hotel. Nature always soothe my mind and relax me at the same time. Nature always heals me in every possible way. There’s a time when stress cause me a very bad depression and affects my health so I decided to go in the beach and try a lot of stuffs during my time there, nature lift my worries and I was able to calm and relax my mind and body.

What about in the mountains, hills and valleys? Have you experienced going on them too? Yes, the beach is another place where we can really relax too. Although sometimes the beach has no more trees where it gives out fresh air. Although the breeze of the sea can really be so refreshing. It too relaxes us so much. Anything that is of nature can make us feel relaxed indeed.

Yes, one of my inclination is visiting places like mountains and beaches where I can free my self from stress after I work hard. Most especially if I do it together with my best travel buddy Peter and we hangout together via motorcycle road trip. I search certain places where we can go and make a plan how to get there afterwards. The experiences we gained through traveling is not only the place but the memories and the relationship we build together is getting strong.

That is nice to hear. Indeed, nature tripping is so much fun when it is done with a companion. At least they can affirm the beauty of the place, when you gush about it, right? And yes, memories becomes nicer when done in those beautiful places where nature abounds. Not nly will you feel so refreshed and reinvigorated, but you make nicer memories, indeed.

I think it depends. Because, I don't like to climb mountains, haha but I like the view. I went to some place called Moises's waters. They are artificial pools surrounded by gardens and flowers with waters that come from wells with crystalline sulfur, these waters are blue to crystalline, in them decant large quantities of medicinal mud, high contents of calcium, sulfur, potassium and with ideal temperature. Why don't you like to climb mountainss? Me, I actually don't like to, when there are no steps leading to the mountain. I don't like my experience before, where we climbed the mountain with no steps and I rolled down. Good thing I bumped into a big tree's base. lol But yes, just seeing the view from the top would really be breathtaking and refreshing. Wow, that's a nice place where you went. It's filled with those medicinal things.

My love for nature can never said to be overemphasized as I practically live and breath for natural habitat and iconic settings especially when it has to do with rocks and water falls.

I'm taken by water nature build setting, it gives me a sense of relief being around water. It soothes my inner peace and affords the relaxation that I simply cannot get at home.

This is definitely my favorite thing to do, nature tripping in all over the places that I've never been to. I love to see some majestic nature where it will truly amaze me and make me feel relaxed as I enjoy the view. I will never get tired of discovering new places to go to with a wonderful view and history behind it.

I really do love nature tripping because it gives me a relaxing feeling and happiness. Seeing the beauty of nature specially when you are at the high part of the mountain and see the view, all the energy produced by your body in hiking will be worth it. Actually, recently we went to the exact place you visited which is Mt. Samat National Shrine and sadly the elevator was still under repair.

I like basking in the beauty of nature, but most of the times, it takes a lot of effort and time to experience the most beautiful places in my country and that can easily take the motivation away, at least in my case. While I love to walk, I can't sweat too much because it will likely trigger an electrolyte imbalance in my body. My condition has hindered me from exploring mountains or going on hiking trips in places where the climate isn't cool. I've learned to live with this limitation and thanks to the internet, my eyes can feast on these beautiful places.

We have a planned trip to the summit of Taal Volcano, it is one of the smallest volcano that is located in a lake. To go to the volcano’s island, you have to take a boat ride of 30 minutes. And I think the trek to the summit would take an hour depending on the strength of the climbers. We would love to do that. However, due to inclement weather whenever we would schedule a climb, the trip would be cancelled. We had cancelled trip for 3 times already.

Well, I love to be close to Nature and I don't lose a single opportunity to go for a nature trip. From my childhood, I have the habit of going for long hikes and nature walks. There are a lot of places in my state and country where you can enjoy this experience. Being close to nature and experiencing the peace and calmness and the amazing beauty of Nature is very necessary for every individual

Everybody loves nature tripping especially adults because they got to escape from their work and reality. Sometimes, we need to have some alone time with nature, as some studies say that it will replenish your energy and soul so we should do it often because it really has a lot of benefits. I love doing some hiking from time to time to release those stress, I also love visiting some natural resorts that are surrounded by trees

A lot, going out in Nature is a natural therapy it makes us feel more relax, feel more connected and grounded. There's a study where a therapist takes depressed people and literally put them to garden with bare foot, and then make them plant seeds and plants, and amazingly they feel better, they feel more connected and they feel less depressed.

I honestly don't. I don't like walking at all, I don't like bugs, I don't like having to walk on uneven path due to my bad ankle, I don't like bugs, hold on I already said bugs! But yeah it's all the bugs and creepy crawlies that I can't stand that's why I'm not into nature tripping.
