Do we require to have an IQ score above 130 to prove our worth in real world
There are lots of people on earth who have obtained an IQ above 130 or even 140. e.g Stephen Hawking had 160, Einstein had 160-190.Judit Polgar had 170.Similarly, hundreds of other people have high IQ's and became one of the greatest in their fields. Then there were people like Hitler who had around 125 which is still above average and Trump's 156 which makes him a genius but their anger take them away from rational thinking.

IQ is ultimately nothing

IQ is just a number at the end of the day. I do not think that one can ever manage to put a number to one's intelligence. Sometimes you get the person with the high IQ not being able to see through basic skills and tasks in life. Intelligence is debatable.

Hell no

I tests could be a determinant of how intelligent you are but it's not 100% accurate. But intelligence doesn't determine the worth of a person. There are a lot of intelligent people who are poor and not so intelligent people who are rich. There are people with high IQ who do bad things and there are people with low IQ who do great things for others.

In a quiz bee competition, your IQ could be a great determinant of a person's worth. But in other areas, your average IQ is just a number. It does not gauge who you are and it does not gauge your worth.

There are a lot of factors that come into play in order to determine a person's worth. But the 2 most common factors are - a person's wealth and a person's good deeds to others.

Nope!

Wasn't Bush's IQ around 90? Or was that a joking rumor, haha. I just recall it but no. You do not need an IQ of 130 or above. There are many great people with completely normal IQ range in the 100s. And then you can also find high intelligent people that have done absolutely nothing in life.

IQ does not equal to proven worth or success. It can aid you, yes but it doesn't guarantee you anything.

No

Having a high IQ only reflects how well you did on a test looking at intelligence from once angle and intelligence isn't something that you can recognize only looking from one perspective. Everyone is a genius in their own way so you can still be relevant while having a lower IQ.

QI tests are stupid. I'm not saying this because I got a low score in one of them, but I just don't trust them. How can a machine, or a human that created such tests, tell you how intelligent you are? There are a lot of factors to consider, and choosing between A, B, C or D is not the way to prove yourself intelligent. Our actions, our behavior prove ourself worth in the real world, no matter how intelligent we are. There might be a scientist smarter than everyone but that is actually a douche, and a dumber person that is actually nice and likable. QI test shouldn't be a way to say if we deserve to live or not in this world.

Nope

I've never been to an interview or filled out any application where I was asked about my IQ and I doubt a lot of people know their IQ because it doesn't really matter in the real world. There are many people with IQs lower than 130 that are successful and there are those with IQs higher than 130 that completely fail in the real world. I think people's words and actions matter much more than a simple score from a test.

No

Real life work differently from the IQ life. People who spend time doing things based on IQ. They can't get things done. And it makes it harder for you to judge the people around. And the best part. Most of the people who are working on things don't require you to do stuff. So it's better to focus on getting things done instead of IQ.

IQ is not a measure of intelligence

I don't believe for a New York minute that Donald Trump has a high I. Q. His is an especially relevant example here, too. He is proof that one need not be particularly intelligent to rise to positions of power and authority. I. Q. is not a measure of raw intelligence, anyway. It would be more appropriate to call it a measure of intellectual potential. Think of it like RAM for your brain; the more of it you have, the more you can do at one time. The trouble with this is that you still have to make use of it. Had Einstein been content to simply do his job at the patent office, just think of where humanity would be right now!

Not really no

Nowadays I see lots of " intelligent" people concerned with things that will do little to improve the world but will actually improve only their wealth and I see lots of "stupid" people caring for the others. IQ doesn't do much when it comes to charity really

Unfair

There are people that have low IQs because of their disabilities but have proven their worth by contributing through many means, such as serving in a restaurant or managing one. I do not believe that it is fair to measure someone's worth by using IQ tests as many people compensate through hard work and perseverance. I have known people that aren't intelligent and haven't even finished their education for degrees but they have been successful in life.

When it comes to jobs that involve hazardous activities, I do believe that people should be given IQ tests before being accepted, as it is a matter of life and death at that point.

Not at all!

I honestly believe that those responsible for "planting" this kind of doubt in people's minds were people, at least, frustrated with themselves in some way. After all, what is the justification for "segregating" people into different groups based on different numbers based on mostly subjective tests?

I'll never understand this.

Ofcourse not. IQ is never a requirement to prove your worth. As long as you work fairly and you do not hurt anyone you are a worthy person. And being famous or being successful also does not require high IQ. I've known so many people who are not that intelligent even those who doesn't even finish highschool but are so successful. And those who are top of the class who end up not having work and some even became drug addicts and some even faces so many criminal charges.

Types of intelligence.

Having a higher IQ doesn't really prove that you are really smart, the test themselves are biased and even with basic math skills anyone can pass, of course if you are a complete idiot then you will have a hard time even looking at an IQ test, however a person of average intelligence can definitely do well, with little preparation. If you are smart in general, you won't have trouble earning a high score on an IQ test, so not everyone needs to test their IQ, in order to be of above average intelligence and know it.

It doesn't mean anything

IQ is a test that measures your logical skills without it being connected to anything in a real world. There are many intelligent people who don't have to prove their worth with stupid tests. What about your knowledge in a particular field? Experience? Emotional intelligence or creativeness? They are also very important things that can't be measured by a test where you pick the right number to fill in a blank.

A big No! No!

Every people in this world is different from one another. Some are gifted and some are not. But we treat ourselves equal because there are things that only the gifted's can do and there are also things that even a normal people can do. Having an IQ score below 130 is not a bad thing. Who cares if you're IQ is below 130? You can do other things which you can be comfortable of. Maybe that one person is more on application. Even you are above or below 130 IQ, you can something on your own to continue living.

Of course not.

Having a big IQ it's nice and gives you confidence, sure I won't deny that. But making difference between people based on they're IQ is just something miserable. A person can have a low IQ and make a really good living despite his low IQ Also, high IQ people can fail in life as well. This is more like judging a book by its cover.

Self Worth

Having an IQ score above than 130 would bring us fame and fortune. It would make us land to a very prestigious job and would make us a very important asset to the organization we belong. However, let us also remember the value of self worth, self esteem and self respect. Self Worth is the standard of how we value ourselves. To me my self worth is never defined by others. I have my own skills and talents and fare share of failures and flaws which make me unique from the rest. Self esteem reflects to a person's overall subjective emotional evaluation of his own worth. If I would not believe in myself, then who will? We all need to take a moment to appreciate how amazing we are. Self respect is our definition of ourselves despite of our standing or position in the society. The way you treat and see yourself set the standard for others on how you demand to be treated. I remember a YouTube blogger who tried auditioning to different TV Reality Shows but were rejected. He said, if opportunity is not given to him, then he will make a big door of opportunity for his self. He venture in making YouTube videos which make him famous and rich. Now he is a famous YouTube vlogger with more than a million subscribers. He is even more famous than those who have passed the TV Reality Show audition. Our worth in the real world can not be defined by our IQ score alone, we to have to act on our dreams and be our own cheerleader. Let us not allow the world define our worth, let us allow our self to shine even brighter with or without the approval of the world.

It's an impossible requirement

Your intelligence doesn't equate to your worth in the real world. There are other ways that people can prove themselves by working hard like being carpenters, painters, or cooks. Those are skilled workers that are pretty much needed by most people. What would happen to the world if all of us are just intellectuals? That would be a disaster.

Also, you don't need to prove yourself to anyone anyway. As long as you are living your life peacefully and not stepping on anybody then it doesn't have to matter how high your IQ is.

Just the average

Having a high IQ is not a requirement of survival in the real world. Although it may be an advantage but the real market here is how you work hard to achieve your goals.

Having great determination and courage to face life struggles is what matters the most. There are still a lot of people who made their way to the top just being an average.

A number doesn't mean much

Ever met someone who was super "book smart" but had zero real world social skills? I've met a few people like that, and I'm sure they'd rank really highly on IQ tests and so forth. You can't really measure intelligence in my opinion, since it takes so many forms.

I think no you do not have to have a high IQ to prove your worth in the real world, and if you had to, the vast majority of us would fall short. Donald Trump IQ 156..I would never believe that. I think he is dumber than any president we have had. Some think however, that he may have dementia which would explain why he has been doing so many inane things lately.

It's actually a very dangerous concept that high IQ should be the deciding factor of our position in society! If we afforded a place at the table only to the very best, as dictated by one metric or another, there will be no room for most of us. "Normal" people contribute aggressively to the successes and failures of their respective society. THis is why we have systems that reward productivity over capability.

If we consider the world over expanding our IQ thought to include the other letters in the alphabet and not withstanding the world at large, some people don't even know what the term IQ stands for, yet we have great people all over the world. If we go back to the biblical days and even not so further there were great people making the impossible real which did not have a figure to their instinctual calibration. Some of the world's greatest inventions and innovations were created by people who have not the recognition that some of these labelled IQ greats have yet IQ you not, their contribution to the world and their legacy is without a doubt not just to be escalated on the proverbial IQ scales of time space and intellectual contribution but they have filled in the other letters of the life living alphabet that even some of the numbered IQ favorites may not even seek to venture.

IQ is an illusion to me, it does not in any way affects your worth, neither do you need it to prove your worth. we have great and influential people who affected the world in their own way, without a higher IQ, or do some of them even know what IQ means. so to prove your worth , you don't need an IQ, you just need yourself to believe in yourself and everything will click and take it's full place, according to how you play cards. that's the cosmic rule.

IQ is a mare confusion by some illusionist who call them selves scientist, which creates furious self esteem between humans. I believe it to be accurate but do not believe it to be sufficient to determine ones worth in the society. In this world, everybody has his/her role to play in everyday life and most be deliver one way or the other. So low IQ or high IQ, it dosn't matter we must all answer to our daily duties.

IQ is a skill that anybody could master, It's popularity came from the fact that we love to belong to certain clubs and compere our abilities with others. I was watching one day a video about the smartest person in the world, the one with the highest IQ that is, at the end of the video he said one word, "product", admitting that his IQ worth nothing if he don't use it. .

I don't think you need to have an IQ score above 130 to prove our worth in the world. You can even have an IQ that is less than 100 and you can still prove yourself in your chosen field of endeavor. It is God that blesses someone to succeed in life, so it is not really a matter of the IQ.

An emphatic No.You can have a very high IQ but in real life difficulties you become a fool.I think high IQ generally helps mostly in academic world but when it comes to real world scenario what we need is common sense. An average IQ can defeat an high IQ person in real life because the low IQ person might also be employing his or her common sense. This is not to say a person with high IQ cannot succeed as well. But my point is you need both High IQ and common sense in the real world to succeed.

A big no, IQ doesn't constitute or proves our worth in the real world. This is just insane, every human being deserves to be respected and right to live. An IQ of 130 doesn't say all of who you are, IQ is just a part of every human which enables us to think, answer and make decisions.

A good IQ score can tell how intelligent a person is, however, it is not a certificate to prove a person's worth. When I checked my IQ, I got 100. Well you can say it is below average, however, I have some capabilities that make me special. Every person, irrespective of IQ score, is special in his/her own ways.

The ability to do something fast is what is being measured. But that doesn't always mean lower IQ people cannot do a task. For instance, a math problem that takes an hour with one person might take a day with another. However, the point is that it eventually gets done.

Absolutely NO. Even an innocent baby have the worth to live in the world. You are worth living because God created you with a purpose. Your ability and high performance will not be based if you are worth living. All of us have the special and unique strength and capabilities that only us can have. Your achievements will never be your certification to show you are worth living but just a reward for yourself. A person may find you unworthy, but that is not the matter. As long as you have a purpose and dedication in yourself, and as long as you know the God's purpose why He created you. Your worth is more than a thousand bars of golds.

Your worth as a person doesn't depend on your IQ. There are people who have low IQ's and yet they are loved by many people. What matters is what's in your heart because your heart matters to God. He created you according to His image you are wonderfully made by God.

In my opinion, for me, IQ was just a plain non sense idea to measure, the expected knowledge of a person. I don't usually believed to the things that, Intellect can be measure using the current way of conduct. I think, when a person is reasonable about everything at the same time with analysis, and logic. Maybe the purpose of it was to have a record on corporate, and scientific measurements. But, I think, it will not be necessary.

The people always refer intellectual can be measure, which is true. But, I think it can be born inside of us, not just a give, or natural intellectual person. Even, the scientist themselves don't refer intellectual measurement, because it can be learn.

After spending a number of years attending the school of hard knocks I think I have graduated with full honours. This, however, has probably affected my IQ. All of us, each person on this planet has something to give. We are all special and IQ is nothing. If we want to develop a skill, then we can go and learn it. If we find it difficult, we can either give up and move on to developing a different skill or keep trying on the same one.

IQ only measures how we look at how things go, it measures how mentally and academically inclined we are. In the real world IQ is nothing. Even though you, with a high IQ might contribute a lot in a company where you are in, like sharing revolutionary ideas and effective plans and projects, in the end, it is only about how practical an individual is that measures how successful you will be in your career.

When you say worth it can mean many things. I can be considered worth as a good employee and maybe worth to be a boss but may not be worth to be a housewife. But speaking of intellect I guess the IQ does not matter much when it comes to practical application that can be learned by normal people with normal IQ otherwise we will just be categorized according to our IQ that a person with an IQ that is higher than ours will always be superior. That is not the law of nature.
