Do you think credit card is better than debit card?
Credit cards and debit cards are the two major financial benefits cards banks issue to their account holders. Both cards gives the holder access to funds but it's different in how the funds are given.

With credit cards, the card holder have access to funds that aren't his which he would pay back with interest while with debit cards, the card holder have access to the funds he already deposited into his own accounts.

Do you think credit card is better than debit card?

As long as you're paying it off to avoid interest

There can be some really nice kickbacks in using a credit card. Many credit cards have rewards programs or even cashback incentives and as long as you're paying your outstanding balance in full each month you don't accrue interest but can get some nice rewards for your spending.

CREDIT CARD!!!

I have both and I prefer using my credit card not because I don't have money or I LIKE RELYING ON BORROWING MONEY LIKE THE OTHER GUY SAID but because I don't want to use my savings because well... SAVINGS.

Some people think it's shameful to use credit cards because of the word "CREDIT", they don't like the idea of "BORROWING MONEY" because I don't know... I DON'T KNOW WHAT KIND OF MENTALITY IS THAT. They're giving credit cards a bad reputation especially from people who never used a credit card. Just be a responsible credit card holder then you're safe.

It is important to choose the best payment method for several reasons: on the one hand to save, and on the other to protect your money against possible theft or fraud.

Debit

Personally, I prefer debit card compared to a credit card. I don't like to rely on borrowed money. I need my own money.

A debit card can be an ally of those who usually spend more than they earn.

I still think that it's best to buy something using your own money. Borrowed money is something that doesn't make me feel good. I think if I were to have a credit card, I wouldn't be able to control myself. It's scary.

A debit card is basically a bank checkbook. Therefore, they have the advantage that their owner cannot exceed their ability to pay, unlike a credit card, which has a line of money that can exceed the user's monthly income.

I believe having a credit card will give you the tendency to spend more than your capacity and will give you the habit of buying unnecessary things because you are entitled to an additional spending options. Buying things beyond your spending power is not a good habit. It may not be felt immediately but it will surely made an impact eventually.

That's right. The credit card is a means of payment with which, without the need to have actual cash, several transactions can be made up to a limit amount. The debit card is a means linked to a bank account, and its advantage is that the owner spends only what he has in the account, in addition to not paying interest.

Debit card is the better one

Credit cards are luring people into spending more money than what they have in their accounts. Debit cards on the other hand do not allow to spend more money than what a person has in his account. Credit card is like an advance loan. Debit cards help us monitor our spending habits.

Debit cards are better

Credit card offers one the option of having to purchase an item and pay for it later. But paying for it later only means you'll be paying for it more. Credit cards have a lot of fees. Interest is one of them, I'm not sure what percent the interest is it probably depends on the company. There's also hidden and additional fees. So you could be paying double for what you originally owe! That's why debit card is better. It's money you already own and you've paid for the item on the spot.

Something borrowed

I don't like spending money I don't have. I hate it, it makes me feel uneasy. I would rather save up first then use my debit card to buy something.

Debit

I don't wanna borrow money, I feel like I will just spend it on a lot of things, and there's a chance that maybe I can't control what I buy until I don't even know that I borrowed a lot of money. so for me Debit is my choice.

Debit

I disagree with the credit card is better than the debit card. The main reason why I disagree is I don't like using credits when I buy or shop for things, I've seen a lot of people who abused their credit card and when the payment is due they are incapable of paying the bills. I prefer debit card because make me more responsible in handling my own money.

I don't think so, I mean I think it depends. When it comes to credit card, there is advantage especially when you go to shopping malls because you cannot control your self to pick dresses or things that you like. It may cause you have a huge charges when it comes to paying your credit. As for debit cards, money is already in your account and you can control what you're going to buy since you know how much money you have in your account.

Do you think credit card is better than debit card: For me it depends on the situation, credit card is useful specially when you need something to purchased for the important event and you don't have a cash to pay it now the credit may help you in emergency situation. But be sure that you know how to control your self in spending.

Both are very useful in purchasing anything on the internet and both as its own advantages. I personally like the debit card simply because it is safer than credit card. hackers nowadays can easily hack any information specially our banking details. Keeping low amount of money in your card minimizes the risk of losing money from any kind of banking theft.

My mother used to tell me that credit cards are tempting to use but may bring danger to your financial stability. I learned to never rely on borrowed money as we may get used to it and enjoy it to much until the day comes that you have no choice but to sell your properties to pay for your debt. It is better to spend money with your own capabilities than to push yourself into something that you can't.

Credit cards are one of the biggest double-edged weapons that exist. Although it increases our capacity for financing (even free of charge, when you pay what is due every month), getting into debt with it can mean a great imbalance in finances.

I want to rely on my own money. I have this mindset that I had in highschool. I experienced borrowing from my classmates and I reached to the point where I get used to it. I realized that if I do it with money as the subject, I would be pmthe poorest in no time. So as much as possible, even if I had a hard time, I have to endure it and learn how to budget what I have.

Credit card is great but it's kind of bigger interest so I would choose debit card but it depends. If there's no money on debit card and you really have to buy the specific product that will be use in school or work, then you don't have a choice but use the credit card.

I have both credit cards and debit cards but I prefer to use the credit card especially during the holiday season because of the endless promo. Right now I get a gift certificate of 100 pesos for every 3,000 pesos worth of purchases using my credit card. When I use the debit card I get nothing because it is just like withdrawing money from my ATM account but instead of the ATM machine it is the cashier of the store or restaurant.

I think that both have their uses. I think that a credit card should be used in case of emergencies, because basically you are borrowing that money. So maybe at that particular point you can borrow the money and repay it later. On the other hand a debit card is using money that you have. The advantages of a debit card are that it is convenient. You don't have to carry your money around. You can use it for little or for large amounts.

I prefer debit card because I am not comfortable spending money which I do not own or worked for. I would just end up being guilty. I might wouldn't have peace of mind and couldn't be able to sleep if I will use credit card. It is better not to be able to buy everything I need instead of using a credit card which I'm not sure if I will be able to repay it. If I can, then I wouldn't mind using it.
