Videogames! It's a massive topic, with a thousands of stuff we could talk about, with many different genres avalaible. There puzzle games that challenge our game, platform game to test our skills and abilities, strategy games to manage armies and cities, and of course first person shooters where, in a first person perspective, we shoot enemies, monster and demons! First person shooter (or FPS for true gamers) have a very long history, starting back in the 80s/90s with some gems like Wolfenstein or Doom. The latter one was very popular, so much that after a few years it got a sequel, and after a decade or so it got a third chapter, with a graphic that was simply amazing at the time... sadly, Doom 3 was somehow of a disappointment for the fans of the original game and nothing more was made after the first and only expansion. But suddenly, in 2016, what was originally known as Doom 4 came out, simply called Doom - and it was amazing! Published by Bethesda, if first came out just for PC, PS4 nad XBox One, but now Switch owners will absolutely love this winter, because Doom is now avalaible for their console as well! The game is the most classic FPS you could imagine, extremely fast paced, with a lot of weapons and action to take part of - you can even double jump! How many FPS allow that? There are a lot of weapons avalaible, and a lot of enemies to kill - and speaking about kill, if you are one of the gamers that love mindless violence, there are brutal kills that you can perform while playing. Sure, probably a FPS played on a console is not as perfect as playing it on the PC with the aid of the mouse, but the port is actually pretty well made and will be a absolute blast for any Swithc owner that wished to destroy a bunch of evil demons from hell!

  • Doom is always amazing
  • Complete edition: everything is included
  • A pretty decent graphic
  • Fast paced
  • You can kill demons anywhere: at home or on the bus

  • Even if the Switch version is good, the graphic on PC and other consoles is still better
  • Imprecise controls
  • Some framerate problems
  • After a while just shooting demons could get boring

It's Awesome

As far as this game is concerned for the gameplay, It's awesome. You would surely enjoy this game a lot. And there is specially a lot of interesting things you can do with the Doom game. You just have to understand that if you want fast action play then this is definitely something you should check out.

I think despites the ups and downs, "Doom" is the kind of game that always manages to reinvent itself in some way. I mean, it always brings something new / good and gives more and more breath to the franchise in general (which is something really important).

Interested in playing doom

To be honest, I haven't played this game Doom but I have actually watched the movie which was starred by the Rock. It was one hell of a kick ass demon movie with lots of fire power and shooting. The movie is very interesting so I definitely believe the game is also going to be a good hit. I think that I would make plans on getting the game to play and have my final review on it.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
What does players want? Sure, they want to have fun, they want to have incredible adventures, they want to be glorious heroes defeating terrible villains.... and mostly, they want freedom! Give a player a big map with a lot of stuff to do, and he will be happy for many, many years! The Elder Scrolls series was built around that concept: since the early days with Arena and Daggerfall, since the old immortal classic Morrowind, and the often overlooked Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls have been the masterpiece for open world games. The games always had a big map, full of side quests, with plenty of characters to talk with and big dungeons to explore. And in 2011 the most popular game of the series, that quickly became one of the most popular games ever, came out: I'm talking, of course, of The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim. Many editions for many different consoles (and PC) have been released during the years, be it for PS3 or Xbox 360, be it a Legendary or a Special edition. And now, finally, a Switch port have been released! The game is still amazing as you remembered it: a big open world, with plenty of snow, a lot of caves to explore, with giants, wolves, bears... and of course them, the very protagonist of the game: dragons! I mean, they are actually antagonist, but the focus on them is pretty big and fighting them is a memorable experience! And of course you have a lot of freedom: you want to be a honorable warrior that use swords and shield, but it's actually also a werewolf? You can! You want to be a wizard, being the leader of a magic school, and being turned into a vampire? Nothing will stop you. You can follow the main quests, just do the side quests, or just walk around exploring the ambience and finding hidden treasures. The choice is yours - whatever you decide to do, you can do it on the Nintendo Switch now.

  • Still one of the most popular games of all time
  • You can have a entire world in your pocket
  • Full of quests and stuff to do
  • A lot of freedom
  • Dragons!
  • Includes all DLCs

  • The graphic is starting to show its age
  • The price is a bit high for a 6 years old game
  • A few bug here and there
  • No support for mods

Skyrim for Me

I am a Skyrim addict, I must admit. When I first started playing this game, I really got into developing my character and doing quests. I could spend hours playing this giant sandbox style game, and it is fun just exploring the roads, mountains, landscapes, and caves of this vast world. DOOM is okay, and first shooter games are fine, but I do prefer to play RPG games with a more complex storyline to them.

I think both games are great. But I like the quick action. And I want to doom type of the action. And I want to jump into killing stuff all over. And it comes down to the survival. So that's something many among us are going to like in many ways. You can definitely consider for the gaming in that context. I'd choose doom game for myself.

It is not by history that DOOM players like the game. The storyline works more as an excuse for the player to go solo by killing monsters on a hostile planet. In fact, it is in the setting that the game shines most, so the note that will refer to it, not just the story. The scenarios are very well built and impress while they are varied. The player begins in environments emanating from the most classic science fiction, in closed spaces of a space base, full of technology that seems at once archaic and modern. But the game does not boil down to these scenarios, also offering incursions into Mars and descents into the depths of hell.

I agree that video games is such a massive topic since video gaming is now one of the biggest industries in the internet. Video game makers are countless with their output of revised version of games aside from the new games and players are also multiplying in number. Maybe that is an indication that people need entertainment and relaxation although some players would say that they are not really after the entertainment but for the challenge posed by the video games.
