Early Birds

Early Birds
Usually, wakes up at the crack of dawn. An early bird’s energy is at its highest and most efficient in the morning and throughout the day. Generally speaking, people like this have no problem waking up early, but struggle to keep going as night time approaches. Eventually succumbing to fatigue and falling asleep well before midnight.

Pros
Gets a lot of stuff done early, wakes up refreshed and recharged, excellent at coordinating morning events

Cons
Energy starts to crash in the evening, struggles to stay up during the night

Love to become an early bird

Hello Have a wonderful day.

I love to become an early bird. Early to bed and early to rise- makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise- I believe this proverb. Its a beautiful matter for my country capital to take the fresh air at the early morning. My capital Dhaka is the city of densely populated. Here at the early morning you will get the fresh air. Otherwise its not possible to get fresh air after 8 AM. After the midnight the peoples are going to sleep and city starts to become cool.

Thanks Centurion

I would say early

I'm up at around 6 am and although I feel shattered by 10 pm I don't really go to bed until midnight. I would still say I was an early bird though as I don't function very well after 9 pm.

There are times when I feel like staying in bed but once I'm awake I can never go back to sleep so I always get up.

Early to bed and early to rise

There is a saying that early to bed and early to rise makes a person healthy, wealthy and wise. I subscribe to that adage because I had experienced being a night owl which is not desirable to me. Waking up late makes me lethargic and my mind seems to be slow in its reaction. When I wake up early, I feel energetic and cheerful as if there is something to be excited about. This habit of sleeping early started when I finished schooling. Going to work is enjoyable when I wake up early. Until now, that habit is still here although I sometimes sleep late when there is an occasion. But whether I sleep early or late, I would still wake up early.

I am fresh to start the day

I truly believe in the adage "Early to bed early to rise makes the man healthy, wealthy and wise" It was not without reason this saying played a huge role in one's life atleast in days gone by.
But society has programmes lined up late in the nights which today's generation does not want to miss. I am an early riser and my brain is fresh to start the day.

Early

I've alternated between both sleeping schedules and being an early bird works better for me. It's not that it feels any better or anything, it just aligns better with my schedule and what not. At one point I would usually just wake up at about 5 am and go to sleep at 12 am or 1 am. At the time I wasn't miserable surprisingly enough not until I changed my schedule. Now I wake up at 4 and I physically can't stay up past 9 pm.

I am early bird, who converted from night owl

I used to be a night owl whom I always stay up late so that I can study more or do more work. I started to "transform" to an early bird in just recent few years, ever since I became a mom and found out it is actually benefits me more by sleeping and waking up early.

First of all, I have to accompany my children to bed, and always fall asleep early. Most importantly, my health becomes better. I also feel more energy for sleeping early, even though I wake up early. If I am really tired in the day, I might just take a short nap. I actually get more things done by being an early bird.

Mostly early bird, little night owl.

While I lean more towards the side of an early bird, I do have a bit of night owl in me as well. I'm an early bird in the sense that I try to be up in the early morning, as I love it when everyone is still asleep and you feel as if you have the whole world to yourself. The problem is, that getting up isn't as easy for me as it is for some people. It's a struggle to get both in and out of bed. At night I hate having to go to sleep because there is often still so much I want to do, and in the morning it's hard to get up because I was probably up late again. I need to find a balance one day.

The Early Bird Gets The Worms!

When I left school I went into the Baking profession so my work involved early morning starts. I would have to be up by 4.30 in the morning to be at work on time. Bread, cakes and pies have to be made fresh and ready for the day's customers to buy on their way to work.

This made me into an early bird. I like to get up in the early morning and most days wake up at sunrise. I sleep with the curtains and window open, so the light and the birds singing wake me up in the most beautiful natural way.

Even in the winter, when it is dark in the early mornings, I still wake up early because I've gone to bed early I suppose. It has been like it all my working life. I go to bed early and wake up early.

Sometimes, when it is dark in the mornings, it feels so nice and private because the world is still sleeping but I am awake.

I think that the night owls will win this vote as I think that there are more people who prefer the night time than the early mornings.

I absolutely love to take my dogs to the beach for their morning walk. We watch the sunrise over the waves and it is a beautiful start to the day.

Early to bed, early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. So the saying goes. That's why the early bird is supposed to get the worms!

Early Birds

They make beautiful sounds, their like the Earth's clock, they always sing at the same time to help us to wake up. For me, it feels good to wake up hearing their voices.

More natural

Our bodies are made to be sleeping when it's dark out so I choose this one. There was a time when I would have picked night owl because I thought it was cooler to stay up late but nowadays even though I do stay up late sometimes just because I'm used to it, I prefer to be up at an early time and be able to make use of the daytime. I find it uncomfortable to wake up too late but I do get why people prefer the night time as I once did and it was very peaceful since everyone else is asleep.

Can't stay up late night

I find it really hard to stay up late at night. That's why I go to sleep early in the night. Then my body will automatically wake me up early in the morning even without an alarm. I guess my body cope up with my sleeping routine. I tried sometimes to sleep late, but I woke up early in the morning causing me to feel drained and weak since I didn't have enough sleep. That's why I decided to just go to bed early, then rise up early in the morning too.

Pros
Energy starts to rise in the evening, carries on throughout the night, excellent at working graveyard shift

Cons
Struggles to wake up early, usually isn't on time for day meetings

Night Owls

Lately I've been living a night life. Usually I wake up around 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and go to bed around 1:00. I adopted these schedules because I work online and I consider the best time to be able to work. In the old days when I worked for a company, I had to wake up very early and sleep very early too, so it seemed like I just did not enjoy my day. Thankfully that changed.

Cannot wake up early

I think I qualify as a night owl, more than an early riser. I love it when occasionally I manage to get up really early in the morning, but sadly it is really seldom as I love sleeping at least till 8am.

More of a night owl after midnight

I would say I am more of a night owl because I can do more when everyone is asleep and it's quieter. I've never liked early mornings as it reminds me of school, but I enjoy them when I have no agenda and can get up early and then have a nap.

I am more of a night owl

While I'm more of a night owl, I don't really fit the description that was given. I still manage to get up early. I really don't have a choice. It takes me a little while to feel fully awake but not half the day. Nobody got time for that. I wouldn't get anything done that way.

I'm batman

I love working at night when there are no people around. It's peaceful and I can do a lot of thinking and I don't really feel like I wasted my time in anyway because I can focus on what I'm doing. When I sleep during night and wake up in the morning I feel very sleepy during lunch time and it's a waste of time to sleep.

A mix of both!

I am a mix of both. I go through periods where I can't sleep past 8 AM and always wake up early and then I have periods where I can't fall asleep unless it's past 3 AM.

I vote for night owls since I am one right now. The last few weeks I have been wide awake even at 2 AM - the majority of the days I go to bed around 3 AM and wake up at 10. I know that it's unhealthy but I literally can't manage to fall asleep so I start doing some work or watch tv shows and then it prolongs even more.

Maybe it's the heat that's also keeping me up - it is extremely hot here every single day but hey. Instead of getting frustrated I just embrace my current night owl life.

Night owl

Although I wish I was more of an early bird, I am definitely a night owl and have always been. I really enjoy working in peace and quiet at night when everyone else is asleep and it's also incredibly hard for me to wake up early in the morning without a cup of coffee. Although I have tried many times to switch to an early bird lifestyle, I end up reverting to my old habits after a few days because it's just what I'm more comfortable with.

100% night owl

This is a bad habit that has been with me since I was a teenager: I can never sleep early. No matter how hard I try, I can't go to bed at the time considered "normal" for millions of people. So, I'm definitely a night owl (but the good side of that is that I actually work better at night).

Late nights

I'm a night owl and I always have been. I remember being very young and my parents would always have a hard time getting me to sleep in the morning and an even harder time getting me up in the morning. Now if I have to be up early, it's wise not to talk to me until I've had at least one cup of coffee and some time to "wake up" fully.

It's hard to wake up early

I find it easier to stay for entire night. And even morning the sleep may not last for long. As you can see there are issues with the people who wish sleep early. Because after that much staying long it may not work out. It takes time for sure to get into early bird habit. So that is why stay up and get things done.

More of a night owl

In general, I have a lot more energy when I'm doing things at nighttime hours than when I'm doing things in the morning. I'm generally more awake and more active at night and, unless I'm forced to be an early bird, usually prefer to go to sleep late and wake up late.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy

I'm more of a night owl. I don't prefer going out in the day, simply because I live in a tropical country and it's so hot outside. Aside from that, I also like to see the stars at night. The vibe that the evening gives me feels so gentle and it makes me want to stay up longer than I should.

I can consider myself a night owl because i love to get out mostly at night. Yup, i am tired after a day of work but nothing compare with a night out with my friends to play a billiard game or drinking some beers.

Wide awake at night.

I used to have to get up at 4 AM for study reasons, and even back then I was still a night owl. At morning it's like I'm not here at all, and I could work up early to study but it'd be basically lost time.

At night, however, is when my best ideas strike, when my energy is at its peak and when I feel like I can do whatever and anything I want!

Can't Sleep Early

I guess its because I'm always setting up and getting ready for the next day, checking my phone, replying to all the emails and messages and just getting everything done and then I look at the clock and its 1AM already. So naturally to get a decent 8 hours of sleep requires me to wake up much later than most people. Thank goodness my work schedule is flexible.

Sleep When?

This summer I've been focusing on online work and tend to stay up late when new tasks are posted. I know this isn't the healthiest, as I find sleeping then hard to do at this time, but I feel satisfied at the work I've finished.

As a college student, night owls huddle together on projects and cramming.

Nocturnal

I have definitely become a night owl as of late--total vampire these days. I am not exactly sure when it happened, but gradually I transitioned into this kind of living once I started working from home more. I have to admit, I do get some of my best work done at night, and I love the quiet outside once the traffic has dissipated and the world has fallen asleep. I actually literally hear an owl hoot, from time to time, in my backyard because of the hours I keep. I prefer being a night owl because of the solitude and privacy, and it just seems to suit my style.

Night Owl

Well personally I'm both. I can stay up all night long. I feel I can get a lot of stuff done, and relax until I fall asleep. It doesn't matter what time at night I go to sleep, I'll still wake up around 8 in the morning. Fully refreshed like I had a full nights worth of sleep.

Now I do take a 30 minute to an hour nap during the middle of the day. Still be wired afterwards to finish work and anything that I need to get done.

I am kind of both. I like to stay up late but I also like to get up early. Early morning are the best. I love hearing the birds singing and all the noises as the new day comes to live. The beauty su rises are breath taking and a please to enjoy.

I usually never go to bed before midnight. I can't sleep if I do. On the weekends when I don't have to work I stay up much later but I am still up early morning. I can by on very little sleep and still feel good.

I was like you when I was younger that I would spend the night out on Fridays and Saturdays with my friends. But now that I have a family and a job, I would rather stay home because I wake up so early to avoid the traffic on the road. My normal bedtime now is 9 pm because I wake up before 4 am so that I could prepare in going to the office. That heavy traffic is part of our life and the only thing I could do is to avoid it.

I would say neither to be honest. I am usually pretty awake and refreshed in the morning, but I remember as a kid having a hard time waking up for school. I think mostly because it was cold out and I didn't like school! I stay up late now, but that is because I don't need to be up in the morning.

I am mainly a night owl. I like my mornings calm and easy. I know the early bird gets the worm and all but some of us just work differently. I can go way into the night especially if I'm doing work, because it's more quiet and I feel more at ease and can think better. My energy just seems to be better later in the day. If the day requires me to do things early, I can do them, I'm just not that enthusiastic unless it's something exciting. I almost always make any appointment I need to make after the lunch hour when I am more alert and have more time to prepare for them. I love being awake in the night when everyone else is asleep.

I am a natural born night owl. I feel comfortable to stay late and do what ever i want to do. When, I was a student, whether in school, college or university, I always stayed late night and studied. When I began working, I worked until late night. Sometimes I worked until 4 am. However, after I got married, my pattern changed and I went to become an early bird. I wake up in 1 AM and being my work.

It depends on my surrounding. Sometimes I tend to sleep really late when I'm trying to finish my favorite t.v. series just to start watching another series. But ever since I've had a girlfriend who I should really a night owl as she tends to sleep really late mostly at midnight so I tend to stay awake with her chatting and talking about every thing until we get sleepy. Well I'm quite an early bird before I met her but there's a time when we just chat until 3 in the morning and since then I started having a habit of sleeping quite late as I can't sleep knowing she's still awake.

I think that I'm a night owl. I'm trying very hard to change that. Why? Because I think that I'm at my best when I have heard 8 or 9 hours of sleep.I also function better, I have more energy, my concentration is better. All around I do better work when I sleep early and wake up early. I've tried to adopt to my night owl pattern, but I find that it is not working for me. The latest I want to stay up is 12.00 am or 1.00 am. I used to stay up till 4.00am, but found that this was bad for my body. I was really tired in the morning and had no energy to accomplish the days tasks.
