Fast Food

Fast Food
Fast Food is great on a busy day, you can simply order it from home or grab it whilst you are out for a quick meal and it requires no kind of preparation what so ever and the best part... you save on any kind of dish washing which is always a bonus!

There is also a wide variety of different foods to choose from so if you are unable to cook a certain dish yourself you can always have it made for you.

Fast food is definitely the better option if you are looking for something different or wanting a break from the kitchen.

  1. Gives you a break from cooking
  2. No dirty dishes so you get a night away from washing dishes
  3. More of a variety of foods some of which you will not always have when home cooking.

  1. Not as healthy as home cooked foods
  2. Can sometimes get sick from fast food if not prepared properly
  3. Can be expensive

Fast Food is delicious

No matter what you are going to say about fast food, one thing is clear: Fast food is delicious!

I agree that the vast majority of fast food is bad for you and you should avoid it no matter the cost. But I believe that if you do everything in moderation it will not affect you. For example, I'm a huge burger enthusiast, I always try something different and I'm always up for a new pub or restaurant to try their burgers.

But I don't consume more than 2 burgers per month. That's moderation! Everything you do in excess can become dangerous, drinking water in excess can result in death, breathing air in excess can result in you passing out, no matter the thing you abuse be sure it isn't healthy. Same for fast food, if you know how to draw some limits, I consider you should try everything in life!

deep fried

As much as I would favor home cooked meals, I would still consider fast food to be an important part of society even just for the deep fried foods alone. Without fast food, we probably would eat less fried chicken and french fries, both of which are so tasty, because we would never deep fry food at home that frequently.

I would choose fast food especially when I am busy. I can just get one delivered or buy one and take it home to eat. It's much tastier and delicious. But I would only eat fast food occasionally because it is well known to cost more and is unhealthy. I voted here because I want it for its availability and taste.

Home Cooked

Home Cooked
Home cooking is great if you are looking to create something healthy. With home cooked meals you can even change up certain recipes to create a different kind of dish so you have something slightly different to what you normally cook. You can also prepare meals in things such as slow cookers for when you are busy out and about and slow cooked is always better than cooking food fast.

  1. Food is healthier when home cooked
  2. You can change it up a bit and experiment with recipes
  3. It's cheaper and you can probably make 2 - 3 meals for the price of a take out.

  1. Causes a lot of dirty dishes so means washing dishes
  2. If you are not familiar with cooking too well you can make mistakes
  3. Could get burnt when cooking

Because it is yummier

Isn't fast food unhealthy? I would definitely choose home-cooked food, not only because it is healthier, but mainly because it is prepared with love by my family. As long as I am not the one doing the cooking and washing, both are equally convenient to me. Moreover there are only those fixed types of fast foods and, although these days they do change it up a little, one would easily get bored of eating the same things. Home-cooked food, on the other hand, have endless varieties and feels more fun. I think cooking with love, feelings, and emotions, is important because it really makes the food tastier than a line of workers being paid to manufacture it.

Eat at home so you can see your food

Oh home made no contest and hands down. It's nice to eat out at times, to go out and have a nice burger or something, even a posh slap up meal. But home cooking just can't be beaten when you cook a really nice meal and sit down at the table and eat it with your partner together so you can both enjoy that. That's a good thing and a memory to keep. And sure you have to wash up after and clean up and put things away but that's not really a major chore. Unless you're cooking for and serving to a lot of people! Plus when you eat at home you have much more choice and variety on what you can eat. Plus it is a lot healthier for you too! Plus the other thing I like about cooking and eating at home is that I can see where the food has been and what's happened to it! I don't want to put anyone off from eating out but you do hear of some true horror stories about how the drop your food on the floor or use utensils that aren't cleaned properly (cross contamination) and you just don't know and have no way of knowing if that's happened with your food when you eat out. It always crosses my mind when I do lol. So for that reason, eating at home gets my vote each and every time! :)

Yes homemade is the best

I do prefer a proper homemade meal, and I don't mean just food from the local shops. I do like to make my own meals like casseroles and more. I prefer to eat homemade food . The only time I ever get take away food is if I been out all day and not eaten and if its too late to start cooking .

home cooked

Think about all the best meals you've ever had. I bet you think of a meal your mom or grandmother made or some other family member. You probably don't think of fast food as a memorable, delicious experience. Fast food was not really designed for taste or nutrition but for quick convenience. Home cooked meals can be made exactly to your preference with fresh, whole ingredients. I love home cooked meals. I usually enjoy cooking, but sometimes it can get a little old and we will go out to eat when I need a break from the kitchen. I'm usually pretty disappointed when we eat out unless we are at a special restaurant.

Home made food are always more healthier than fast food.Eating fast food more often would lead to diseases such as cholesterol, diabetes etc. So why get sick??? You can cook a healthy meal at home, maybe you will invent a new food....Cooking can be fun too.So I'd go for home cooked healthy food than fast food.

I love home cooked food

Hello Have a wonderful day.

I lobe home cooked food because home food have family touch. Like food cooked by mother is very much lovely for every one. Food cooked by house kitchen by any one is faithful meal. On our country Fast food is dangerous because Bangladesh humanity level is zero area. On Fast food some times there have no guarantee that peoples are eating good meat or bad meat. For many other reason maximum peoples of Bangladesh avoid Fast food. It is also very costly for the middle class people. Middle class and lower class people buy vegetables from vegetables market and they go home to cook everyday once. Its a normal behaviour of my country peoples.

There are minimum 1 to 10 vegetable market on my country of every 1 km area.

Thanks Centurion

Home-cooked meals easily win hands down by a mile

It is a known fact that home cooked meals generally are healthier than fast food. Now I say “generally” because some of us do put artificial food additives like aspartame, artificial coloring etc to either enhance the appearance or taste with MSG (Monosodium glutamate) being one of the most common of all. I admit I am not the most health conscious person around when it comes to food I put into my mouth. For me, it is the feeling of satisfaction and experience of preparing the food from scratch that counts for me. But of course, having a healthily prepared meal minus all the food additives (and still taste awesome) would always be an added bonus. Nothing can replace the precious memories of cooking together with your loved ones, bickering over how much salt or sugar to add, who should do the cutting and who prepares a better version of the same dish etc. Fast food lacks soul and although it does fills your stomach, it doesn’t fill your heart.

Worth the Work

I think it's great to go out and indulge in a restaurant or fast-food meal once in a while, but I feel like home-cooked meals are overwhelmingly more beneficial in the long run. Home cooked meals are cheaper to make, healthier, and help you develop culinary skills that will benefit you for a lifetime. I usually meal plan at the beginning of the week and make a grocery list to help me keep track of what to cook and be the most efficient with my grocery store trips.

Home is where the hearth is

That aroma from the kitchen permeating around connects everyone whatever they are busy doing. The lady of the house would be where her place is churning out dishes awaiting to serve her loved ones.

While I think an occasional holiday to the lady of the house is quite normal and is recommended, a place where no food is cooked is not a home but a house.

Stay at Home!

Don't get me wrong, I love fast food and I love to eat out.

But home cooked food wins hands down. I love to eat home cooked food. It's delicious, fresh, clean, and it's usually preferred with love and care :D Eating home cooked food usually means eating with my family and I really value family time.

I think it's fine to eat fast food once in a while, but as we've heard many times, it's not good for us. It's cheap and fast, but not really the best for our health. And when we eat fast food, we're usually in a rush and don't have time to enjoy the food. I like to eat in a comfortable setting where I can relax and just enjoy eating. That's why home cooked food is better to me.

So much better

Although fast foods are always more practical (and sometimes more delicious), nothing beats the quality and the taste of homemade cooked foods. They usually give more work to do, but they are always worth it.

Home style cooking is the best.

Home cooked meals are much healthier than Fast foods. On home cooking, you can cook anything you want, you can experiment with it, and your own style and flavor. It's fun, healthy and cheaper. While on fast food, one positive thing is this your best choice when you're outside, it's convenient, especially if you're on the rush. But it's not healthy, and I think you prefer the food you'll be eating is handled by someone you trust and not a stranger from some fast food restaurant.

Home Cooked

Although I really like fast food, I have to confess that home cooking is my preference. Lately I have adopted a healthy diet and besides, I think that fast food foods are getting more expensive, so I end up saving a lot of money :)

Home Cooked Meal

I prefer the home cooked meal in the long term. You can see that fast food can be really good in terms of the taste. But home cooked meal is healthy. And one should be seriously considering the food in that case to be good for the health. I prefer the home cooked for the same reason.

Home food!

I only eat fast food when I need to take a break from cooking at home or when I go out with friends otherwise I always cook my meals at home. It's healthier and cheaper.

I Prefer Home-Cooked

I am in love with fast food, of all kinds. I love cheeseburgers, especially. Some would say i have an addiction to them! However, the ones that I make at home and cook on my own grill, with my own spice mix, my own toasted buns, my own gouda or provolone cheese, fresh onions, caramelized onions, beefeater tomatoes, bib or butter lettuce--well, those are superior to the burgers I get at the drive-thru. A casual dining spot might have a good burger you can sit down for, but I prefer my own home versions of "fast food" items any day of the week. Also, when I am not craving a burger, home cooking is way better for me anyway because i can control the ingredients, the quality, and the method of preparation.

Home Cooked Meals

I love to eat all the dishes that my mom prepares for us and I will always choose to eat at home than just going to the fast food. My mom's dishes are always the best. The only reason why we go to the fast food is when we hang-out and needs to eat or to taste a different kind of cuisine.
Posted by ColdFlameChris on 11-30-2017

Personal Touch

I'm all for home cook meals if I'm at home. It's more delicious because I'll be the one cooking it and I can make it more nutritious by using healthy ingredients. Although if I'm out travelling, I do eat fast food like cheeseburgers and pizza's but overall my cooking is better.

More healthy

I grew up getting more used to eating home prepared food and I took to that on becoming an adult. I find it very difficult to eat outside except on emergency cases where I practically have no option but to manage the fast food. If there is any chance for me to head home and eat, I will take up such chance rather than eat outside.

My mum lived on processed food all her life and lived until she was 90. Admittedly at the end her quality of life was poor but they weren't diet related problems. While I agree that home cooked food is better for you you can still get your 5 a day with stuff like salad or fruit. I often think that many people over cook their food so that all the goodness is cooked out of it so is it really that good? Fast food place are moving towards healthier options like low salt and higher fibre so I never feel guilty if I eat too much. I have really good health for my age and take no medication so I guess I must be doing something right.

Fast food is very tempting, not matter what I cannot avoid fast food. In the day time, when I am outdoors, I will be eating fastfood, in the morning and evening, when I am notmally at home, I will be eating home cooked food. Sometimes when my wife and I are not in a mood to cook food, we order fastfood and have it for dinner. Home cooked is healthy because it has nutritional benefits, fast food, more than nutrition, gives calories.

Its hard to avoid fast foods and meals cooked from the restaurant or canteen when you're were so busy at work especially on my online work these days. But I do prefer to cook my own meal as I'm guaranteed to get the nutrition that I want and eat the food that I really want with my very own cooking. I don't know a lot of recipe but I can cook quite a lot of dishes that will definitely satisfy my co-workers who share with me. I've been the guy who cooks when our co-employee which is the one who cooks before me suddenly had to quit working with company for personal reasons. Since then I've tried to learn to cook a lot of recipe that can last and can be interchanged every week.

Fast food has never been a choice for me right from childhood.I love home prepared home.Home prepared food gives one the liberty of preparing food the way the person love it and adding the best ingredients that would be healthy and healing to the body, no chemical is added and no preservative is added unlike fast food that is bombarded with preservatives and other chemicals that may be harmful to the body in the long run.

We are not health buffs at home but we always prefer home cooking that assures us of freshness and clean food. However, it is understandable that it’s not easy to cook at home when you have a job. No time for marketing of ingredients. That’s why sometimes we just rely on fast food delivery. The other night, we ordered our dinner from Shakey’s that was that was delivered within the hour. Having fast food for meals is convenient since there is no more washing of plates and utensils.

Let me admit the fact that home cooked meal is healthy. But the junk fast food is indeed good in many ways. You can see that some of the time fast food can be good for the health. And people have to be understanding of that part. Another thing is that fast food some of the time may not be healthy. And it can definitely affect our health in many ways. So we have to be careful.
Posted by overcast on 01-23-2018
The only time I have ever depended on fast food or junk food was during my one year national youth service corp program where we camped for 4 weeks. During this 4 long weeks, I had no means to eat at home, so I practically depended on junk food and some fast food which still made me purge and it's part of the reason why I prefer home cooked meals.

I'm sure you're a Nigerian because I can remember my own NYSC camp that I was sick daily because of bad food eaten in. the camp. my system couldn't just contain the bad. food and so I was sick all through .Home cooked food is still the. best.

I'm all for home cooked food because it's cheaper and healthier but I also like fast food and processed food because it tastes better.
