Have you thought of using solid garbage in any useful way ?
After a day’s work the best place to relax is in one’s garden. A well appointed garden will have a lot of greenery, flower beds, fruit trees, a birdbath and may be even a fountain. The meandering garden paths will also give it a professional look. Last but not the least a garden bench will be an inviting addition to a garden. We have a garden bench more like a love seat.

This loveseat is a bit different in that it has helped us to take care of our solid garbage. We have used that garbage that is made up of broken bits of glass, tiles, stones and even plastic bags as filler material to build the foundation on which the garden seat is placed. The garbage is fortified with cement and enclosed with bricks to make it strong and completed with a layer of concrete. .

We feel this is the best way to use solid garbage. We have used this concept even to create the foundation for the reservoir of our waterfall.

Solid garbage is a gnawing matter of concern the world over. If this is used as filler material even filling up pits and depressions in properties and other places that would be a great relief to get rid of garbage in a useful way. There is great scope to use it as filler material to build foundation for compound walls.

I see the prospect of a business selling solid garbage. There could be other uses for solid garbage.

Any ideas?

Yes we can do many thing in solid waste. We can recycle it or we can make DIY by using solid waste. Instead of trowing it in the street or sidewalk, we can earn it and sell to the junk shop and you can earn some money. It will helps our environment and global warming.

I believed also to these facts. Garbage always helps us to think when ever we had nothing to replace, and that is what we called recycling. It has a lot of things to do, as alternative for the house materials. So, when ever we have thrown things, considered trash or garbage, we should use it, as an alternative to replace in our house, or even sell it to recycling business center. It will help environment to minimize potential problem in the near future.

The more we have knowledge about the things of recycling, the more we are more aware about how to conserve nature. Even so, the only problem we have to deal about it is to make sure the momentum of process of alternative way is stable. People will always look solutions, yet the solution is always in front of our eyes, and not realizing to help it to the nature.

If you have a garden, you can easily manage your organic waste to make compost for your plants. If your garbage contains recyclable materials like tin and aluminum cans, copper wires, iron rods, you can sell them to the recycler. If your garbage contains glass, you can use glass pieces on the top of boundary wall (you have to use cement to stick the glass pieces), which can make your boundry wall more secured. If you have bricks and stones, you can pave your drive way.

Yes, There are many things to use garbage, as an alternative for everything. So, the only problem we have is the knowledge of how to implement to it. The more we know about it, the more will be useful to the nature and to the people, because it will help us anyway no matter what happens. Nature always help us when ever something terrible happen to us, specially when we have problem about the storm, or expensive materials to build houses.

When I was a kid, I always thought that, the garbage has a use, specially to the materials that won't available anytime, and as a matter of fact, garbage helps me a lot for my living in the past. I have deep respect to the people who are live by the help of garbage, so it helps a lot of people. It will even provide to the houses alternative materials.

In my country we have recyclers that come around to gather these solid waste especially those containing tin, metals and the likes,if one has much of it, one can sell them to make money but for the decompost ones that have turned to manure, I used it on my garden, it very organic and good for the plants. So yes instead of throwing them everywhere and littering everywhere we could make good use of them in other ways.

Yes. I have thought of using solid garbage in a useful way just like what you did. There are really a lot of things we can do with our garbage. Instead of throwing it anywhere, we should think of something that will benefit not just the people, but the environment as well since we have lessen the waste being generated and thrown in various places.

I try to recycle as much as possible and sometimes I re use these for instance I store tea bags in old Pringles containers for instance. These are the smart ways to use garbage so it doesn't end up in landfills. Cardboard tubes can be shredded to make bedding etc. These are some great ideas for tubing.

Yes i love the thought that recycling solid materials can help our nature save waste and at the same time we are making some products made from solid garbage which is can be sold in the market. we are planning also to build recycle solid materials to be use in our gardening this year, so i hope we can make a good quality of solid wasted materials.

Yes, over here the recycle tires to make benches and other things. And tin cans become art and decoration of sorts. I love the idea of taking something that would go to complete waste and turn it into something creative or fun also

I have thought about it plenty of times. But the execution part is where I am not getting things done properly. So I guess I have to learn to manage those things. It'd be reasonable for me to make use of the garbage the right way. I have seen some people making use of the garbage and building some good stuff. But it's not always possible to get things done properly. We learn through options though.

That's a nice garden bench that you have made. That's what I call creativity. I have never tried to use solid garbage in any way. To be honest I have never even thought about it. I will look for some ideas on the internet. Maybe I will be able to build something with solid garbage for Christmas. There are many companies which actually buy scrap metal in my country. I usually sell any unused recyclable materials to them.

Definitely, I believe that it's a nice idea and look at it's possibility of offering some select group of people a job opportunity in gathering these solid waste material and working in the factories for its recycle, it's a good prospects in any modern society.

Also the tendency of such keeping an environment clean is an added bonus. It helps to guarantee ones good hygiene and good health.

Most waste facilities already recycle a ton of items before the rest is dumped. In fact where I live the only way they get rid of waste is through burning, so the trash gets taken to the dump site and from there they have machinery and people (depending on what the process calls for) who sort through the garbage for specific things like metal, glass, certain plastics, rubber products, ect. Thin plastics are shipped off elsewhere and the rest is burned- which happens to be organic matter or paper products that are soiled and thus nonrecycle-able. I'm personally not a fan of burning waste but this is a landlocked region and it's not like they can fill a barge and ship it to China, which does the same thing save for less EPA.

We should absolutely use garbage in another way instead of letting it ruin the planet. Here in Italy we've always had a big garbage problem because a lot of people in the south don't care about recycling and they'll just throw a lot of small stuff everywhere while hiding the big garbage somewhere else.

We only recycle the garbage. We have never really used it in any creative way such as yourself which is very admirable! However, we do use the basic garbage from the garden for the compost and so on. But we never created something from the solid garbage. And I think that you can also sell the more valuable things such as copper and wires and gain some pocket money. We should all be more aware of how much garbage we produce and you're great inspiration!

That is such a wonderful thing to do and it is really clever how you managed to do it. DId you guys create the bench yourselves or did you get some sort of a company to do it for you? Imagine if we all did little things like this. By using our old solid garbage in such a useful way, we can reduce the massive impact on the environment from our rubbish and it is also a nice thing to do for the community as well. Imagine how many different things we could produce if we used all our garbage like this

Municipal solid waste consists of paper, cardboard, food, grass clippings, leaves, wood, leather, plastics, metals and petroleum-based synthetic materials. No single approach can handle all types of waste, so a “hierarchy of waste management” is used to rank the strategies of dealing with waste according to their environmental impacts. A key principle of sustainable waste management is to try to deal with waste as high up on the waste hierarchy as possible.

Actually, I never thought to use garbage in any way for me and my family, we just throw it away. I heard there are many people who are using it and have a lot of benefits over it. Some people here made houses from it and I don't know how they made the garbage not to smell so ugly....I mean their walls should smell ugly right? Well, it doesn't and their houses look great!

I never taught of that though, because I think that once it is garbage it is garbage, although it depends on the situation of things, like in most cases, you might throw away some garbage at some point in time you run into something that will require the use if such garbage it happens though.

One my dreams is to come up with an idea that utilizes garbage. I would like to start a social enterprise around this concept. My country has heaps and heaps of rubbish on the streets. I would like to provide a sustainable solution to this.

This would also provide employment. Unfortunately, they are cartels that control the rubbish and you need to pay them to collect it. That's why it's left on the street. Sad! Currently, rubbish is used by some organizations to make cooking gas and electricity. Another organization even makes telephone poles from it. I wish I could come up with other useful innovations! I have seen a woman in America that makes handbags out of rubbish. Fingers crossed!
