How many hours of sleep do you get in a day?
Sleeping is one of the basic ways that we can always get to ease off after a stressful day. Sometimes I wonder how the world will be if there are no moments that we can take out to sleep. While it is necessary for us to have enough sleep on a daily basis, challenges and commitments of life have made it difficult to enjoy sleep as much as we want. Someone like me always try to get 6-8 hours of sleep every day. How many hours of sleep do you get in a day?


Well, sleeping is one of the most important activity that helps us to get rest to our body and mind. If we dont take enough sleep everyday , then eventually it can have an adverse effect on our Health. Usually we need to take at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep everyday.However i am able to get only about to 7 hours of sleep right now due to my work.

I usually sleep between six and eight hours, although this may vary. It really depends. If I have to study hard for my college, I usually sleep a lot less than six hours. I know that is not healthy, but studying is sometimes really hard and time consuming. On weekends, when I do not go to college, I sleep for nine or even ten hours, in order to rest completely and to prepare my body for the Monday and following days.

We need to sleep a lot in order for our body to fully rest, yet, in this modern age, that may be a hard thing to achieve. We have to go to work, to a college, we have to study and do many other things which are stressful. I usually sleep 7 hours but sometimes I sleep a lot more and at other times, when I play some games with my friends, I do not sleep at all. We stay awake whole night and play games until 6 in the morning. I know this is not healthy and that I should change this.

It varies a lot especially since I have young children. On average though I’d say 6-7 hours. I’d like a few more hours of sleep a night but beggars can’t be choosers in this case!

I make sure I have sufficient sleep in the night. A good night's sleep is very essential for the body and it helps you stay fresh and active for the next day. A bad sleep will hurt you bad and will not help you remain active for the next day. I sleep around 12PM and get up at 8AM in the morning. A solid 8 hour sleep helps me a lot.

There are times when I only get 3-5 hours of sleep because of school works or other things. There are also times that I successfully get 8-10 hours of sleep. I found out the my productivity levels are high when I get sufficient amount of sleep while I become sluggish when I am sleep-deprived.

3-5 hours, that's terrible. I have experienced that many times, and I don't like what I feel when I don't have enough sleep.

I often get 8-10 hours depending on what day it is and if its a free time day. When I say free time there is no certain work, school, event happening around me. I also don't really enjoy sleeping too long because sometimes I feel like I am often missing out on the day. But if I was to sleep with my girl then there is no wasting of the day.

I usually sleep for 7-8 hours a day. It's like I get knocked out immediately after lying down. And I'm lucky that I am able to sleep through the night and don't experience waking up at the wee hours of the night like other people I know.

Well, normally, I get 7 hours of sleep. Whenever I don't get enough sleep, my mind doesn't work well and I always become too irritated at the slightest thing. Anyway, when I get back home, I always make sure to sleep early so I could catch up on the hours that I didn't sleep the day before.

I do to. It make me mad easily and get irritated at the same time. That's why I see to it that I have enough amount of sleep to make work in a good mood.

I try to get at least 7 hours of sleep. It's not healthy to skip sleep, I can't function well enough and become easily irritated if I'm tired and groggy. Sleep it's a necessary function our organism needs to perform, it helps us internalize memories better and all that we learn, it also helps our bodies recover. I take drowsiness and fatigue as a sign that my body needs rest and I prefer heeding that call.

Usually 7 hours, but sometimes less because I overthink a lot in bed, thinking about my plans and goals in life. I love dogs but they annoy me sometimes when they make too much noise at night because I want total silence otherwise it's gonna be a sleepless night. Sleep deprivation sucks big time!

I have no definite time of sleep for I work overtime and sometimes not. I sometimes go night shift and normally go day shift. I always make sure that I have enough sleep anyways. I usually get 6 hours of sleep everyday. I tend to sacrifice doing what I wabt like playing mobile games just to get enough sleep.

Thank God that this year when I started working online, I believe I get eight hours of sleep per day. During the time that I was working in a corporate office, I can only manage to get 4-6 hours of sleep mainly because I have to wake up early to avoid heavy traffic on the metro. Then come home late because it's hard to get a ride to where I live.

My bedtime is 9 pm and I wake up at around 3:30 am which would be a little more than 6 hours of sleep without interruption. For some people that amount of sleep is not enough but I am already a senior and 6 hours of sleep is just fine although my body is asking for more so that I get more sleep during weekends to compensate for the lack of sleep during the workweek.

How many hours of sleep do I need to get in a day? For me, I would need 6-7 hours of sleep every night for me to properly function in the day. If I only sleep for less than 5 hours I usually get dizzy during the day and I don't know if I am the only one who has experienced this. Having not enough sleep can greatly affect my day.

Maximum of 5 - 7 hours a day. Yes, i have to sacrifice sleep a little bit eversince i had kids. Actually this is already a luxury for me. When I had my firstborn I only get 3-5 hours of sleep. I wish i had took a lot of sleep when I was younger.

As far as I can remember I still sleep 8-10 hours a day. Perks of being unemployed and just doing some freelance. To have better everyday, it makes me more productive and motivated to work during day time.

I try to reach a target of 7 hours, but rarely achieve it! Knowing that it is so important many people try to get the other amount during the day with an afternoon nap, but I personally doubt that it helps with a good nights sleep...

I’d say that I usually get anywhere between six to nine hours of sleep a night. I usually get about six hours of sleep if I manage to stay asleep the whole time through. If I get six straight hours, that’s pretty much all I need to feel refreshed and alert the next day. That being said, sometimes I wake up in the middle of my sleep cycle and have trouble getting back to sleep. It’s during these situations where I stay in bed from eight to nine hours, because I end up having trouble nailing that perfect point during a sleep cycle where you feel refreshed instead of groggy and tired.

I am an altar server and since it's almost Christmas, I am only getting about 3-4 hours of sleep because we have dawn masses here for nine days. I compensate my lack of sleep at night by sleeping during the day. Sleep is very important to be healthy so everyone should prioritize it.

I usually get a 6-8 hours of sleep most of the time. There are some times that I only sleep for about 3-5 hours but after that I always make sure that I get enough rest. When I was a child, my mother always ask us to sleep at noon but we don't follow. When I grew up, I want to have enough sleep but I can't. Therefore, I have conclude why our parents always push us to go to sleep when we were kids is because when we get older, we can't have enough sleep.

I usually need 8 hours to function properly through out the day. Sadly I only get 5 to 6 if I'm lucky enough. There's also times I only get 4 hours of sleep and that's when my insomnia kicks in. I find it harder to fall asleep when I'm tired, I don't know why this is so for me. When I do sleep that little I try to take after noon naps as this helps me feel less lethargic.

Depends. Sometimes only an hour or two and sometimes twelve to seventeen hours. Sometimes none at all. Insomnia and I live in a world where being a night owl interferes with life because there are somethings that just have to be done between 8am and 5pm

As much as possible, I try to sleep 8 hours a night now. That’s my goal for the coming year and I am already starting because I want to be healthier and keep a healthier lifestyle in 2019. Having less sleep will decrease your lifespan. Our body needs enough rest and we ought not to abuse it.
