Instagram
Instagram is a photo sharing social media which is actually owned by Facebook. This excellent website allows users to snap any picture with their mobile phone and instantly share to Instagram. Which where they can add hashtags to get comments even likes on their posts.

Which also now you can live stream and add videos as posts on your Instagram as a post. Most social media websites still use the hashtag systems but in my opinion, Instagram hashtags added to your posts work the best. You can also follow hashtags which will keep you updated on the things you like in that niche on your feed.

Many people use Instagram even businesses are starting to use it which works really well and boosts there business. I have seen a lot of businesses using this platform and also a few celebrities use this as well. Some even boost there following and earn money with there Instagram doing daily shoutouts or even mentions. So remember if you use this platform then work more on your following and you could be quids in.

Do you use Instagram? What do you think of this platform?

Pros
Excellent to get the word out about website/business Can reach much more of an audience even quicker then most social media websites

Cons
You can see a lot of spam you can mainly use this on your mobile iOS & Android phones. You can use on Windows 10 laptops but are limited to what you can do.

No Contest

I'm a huge Instagram person. Not only has Pinterest never really been my thing, but Instagram is so much easier to "customize" if you will. I'm a portrait photographer, so I follow other photographers in my niche which makes my feed so much more unique for me. It's a great way to connect with other photographers and models in my area and has been a huge factor for me in building my portfolio of photography.

Instagram First; Pinterest Second

I have been an active Pinterest user for the longest time. I don't take anything away from that social site. It has been a tremendous help in my work at home projects and I would never close my account.

That being said, I was invited to create an Instagram account and it has been just as invaluable. I use it for personal and for home business. I post all of my Instagram activity to Pinterest. In other words, I post first to Instagram. I have different followers in the different networks. They are both great platforms, why not use both?

Pinterest is a bit confusing to me

In Pinterest I always kind of lose my way when I click some pictures and get lost and can't return to certain albums anymore. I am sure that is partly my fault too but I think it may also have to do with the way the site is structured, and possibly it could be done better to make it more simplified. I don't really like Instagram all that much either but it's much easier to navigate for me.

Awesome.

Most of the people that I know are on Instagram and this is simply as a result of the easy way that you can get to make use of those pictures. The celebrities make use of Instagram as well since the huge fan base are there and this is a sign that this social medium is one of the best that you have around especially when you want to promote via pictures.

Comfortable with Instagram

Between choosing Instagram and Pinterest, I would go for the one that I'm more familiar with and have actually used even though I'm currently using it at the moment. It's very easy to use just like Facebook is, only that it is more of pictures uploads.

I use both, but Instagram is used more

I love both Instagram and Pinterest, but if we're talking about how often I use them, Instagram wins hands down. I also find Instagram to be an easier way of connecting with my friends, whereas Pinterest tends to be for the sake of remembering ideas like recipes or home decor design.

Instagram

Its more popular. I use it more and a lot of my friends use it as well. Can't say that Pinterest isn't useful but I simply prefer Instagram more.

User friendly

I am more familiar with instagram than pinterest. I have an IG account and I can say that it is easy to use. A user friendly app is more likely to be downloaded and use by a lot of people than those confusing app.

Instagram any day takes it

The ease of use and the fact that they have an app for me are the greatest pluses. I tried using pinterest a couple of years back but i never really figured it out properly. With instagram however once you become hooked it is very hard to opt out. The popularity of instagram is also significant as people will always go to where more publicity can be accessed.

Pinterest
Pinterest is a social media website well you could say the social bookmarking website. It allows members to share there images just like any other social network. As Twitter as a tweet, Facebook and Instagram as a post, Pinterest as Pin. You can pin your favourite images on to your own profiles by also creating your own different categories.

When you create these categories we call them boards, so just like with a real board we can pin post-its and notes on them this is exactly what Pinterest lets us use Pinterest for. For example; you may create a board called cars, then you would pin all your favourite images of cars on this board. Maybe recipes or food and health board, you get the idea.

Many years ago this social media site was more popular with women as it revolved a lot more with fashion and everyday women's categories. Which soon grew day by day and these days everyone is on it, from social lovers to fashion promoters and also affiliate marketers.

Pinterest is a great way to promote images from your website, which can also get your a good social signal. Anyone can also share your content which works in your favour to gain a much more steady flow of traffic if sharing from your website to one of your mainboards.

Like twitter as a share option called retweet well Pinterest as the same but it is called Re-Pin. Members can view your boards and if they find what they are looking at on your pins then they would re-pin it to there boards. This is known as a re-pin.

Pinterest is growing even more popular day by day and is an awesome way to reach out to much more of an audience. Do you use Pinterest?

Pros
Much more than just a visual social media platform Grow your business and website traffic effectively with rich pins.

Cons
You need to spend time on this site before you see good results. Sometimes there are bugs on the site, from not uploading the correct size of the image to not inputting the text in your pin when pinning. There just rare faults...

Instagram is a really good innovative social media site invented by facebook , as you can easily snap any picture you want including that of your business and it quickly reaches millions of people when you post it or share it at instagram.

Definitely I will choose Instagram on this comparison as it is easy to use and has a minimalistic design that is way better than the cluttered tiles on pinterest that looks hideous. I use both but I am more active with instagram than on pinterest regardless which social media platform is popular or not. Since it is one of the popular social media platform nowadays, then it will be easy for advertisements to be seen by a lot of people and could get a genuine feedback all at once.

Agree, feel you here. Tried to use Pinterest, but I was overwhelmed and annoyed with all those images pumping on of the screen, it looks like messy to me. Also, Instagram is way more interactive, you can use it to let people know your business, or for personal/family/friends purpose. The only thing that I don't really like about it, is when people tend to do contests or challenges, and tag you everywhere.

If I'm being honest with you, I haven't for one day in my life tried to access Pinterest site or download its application. I normally see it's icon on page and some sites that I see online but I don't have the time or interest to check it out. I believe it's probably because I'm just not really into any social media sites that has to do with more of pictures uploads.

I'm not using them both, but I'm much more favor in Instagram. I really don't have any idea about the pinterest and how it works. I just wonder why people needs to have so many social media account? It's looks like an obligation for some people to have an account in the new social media.

I don't see why the two sites are different they are both visual social media sites. However I prefer pinterest. I think I get many of my ideas from there. Instagram is more a shopping channel while pinterest is more an ideas channel. I think Instagram is more popular because it has managed to attract more people because it is affiliated to Facebook so this makes it much easier for anyone to use.

I can't choose between the two as I find both a good platforms. They maybe differ but both are very useful especially when it comes to ideas in marketing or skills. It also serves as fun and entertainment so I guess I have to choose both Instagram and Pinterest or none either.

I use both of this application but in different ways. I share photos and try to take pictures as creative as possible thru Instagram. On the other hand, I use Pinterest to get ideas on different stuffs that I would want to copy or have (bedroom design, outfits, etc.). I enjoy using them both.
