Is it advisable to invest in Bitcoin at the moment?
It's a generally know news that all cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin are all volatile in nature and it's actually with its volatility that investors make profits with their investments in the digital currency.

But recently, the price of Bitcoin is on a serious crash that it dropped more than 70% from its original price down to $3. 5k per BTC and it's still falling. With this trend, do you think it's advisable to still go ahead and invest in Bitcoin?

Yes! I Believe!

I really don't know that much about bitcoin investing. But I saw the train and I decided to catch it. I believe that bitcoin represents the future in currency. I could be wrong. But I'm willing to follow the trail and see where I end up.

I'm yet to invest in any cypto currencies and especially Bitcoin which seems popular but the thing will be for any investor to study the trends and be sure he or she can actually invest now. Get the bit of advices by experts before investing.

I have numerous questions and I am still doing some research and patiently waiting to see how elastic the coin will brcome.
Martinsx

Maybe

If you are taking into consideration how cryptocurrency and bitcoin behaved in the past, then it may be a good idea to invest at the moment with the price currently dropping but it's very important to have a clue as to whether it will keep dropping to know if waiting a little bit is better to have more benefits.

I think it would be wise to invest now in bitcoin. The buying price now is low but I am sure it will be huge in the future. As of the moment, bitcoin is beginning its turnover. I'm sure that just like any other time, it will explode.

Lower Price = More Potential Earnings

It's like investing in the stock market. Buy low sell high. Looking at the charts though, BTC has experienced something like this in the past and it bounced back. I'm under the impression it will bounce back but not anytime soon. It's a long investment.

Well, I dont think that there is a lot to fear about the recent fall in the value of Bitcoin. On the contrary I feel that this can be a good opportunity to invest in Bitcoins right now and take advantage of the fall in price. I am sure that after some time Bicoin will regain its value and one can be able to make considerable profits if they are able to invest now .

It is the Future

Cryptocurrencies will inevitably be the future mode of exchange. And bitcoins, being the first, will surely have its value increase for the future. So although there are a lot cryptocurrencies today, I think having alot of bitcoins will still reap its merits in the coming years.

Absolutely

I think this is the best time for anyone to invest in bitcoins. Why? Because bitcoins are now cheaper and can be afforded by everyone. The price dropped drastically since it reached its maximum point and many people could not be able to afford it. However, keeping in mind that it operates under supply and demand rule and is not under any government regulator, the prices will soon start to go up and they do each one who will have invested by then will incur huge profits.

Yes, if you know what you are doing.

The thing about the cryptocurrency market (which includes bitcoin) is that, it is a very volatile market. It can peak in one breathe and fall right back down in another. There are techniques traders use when they buy or sell (invest in) cryptocurrency like bitcoin. You should be careful about investing in bitcoin if you are clueless about the existence of such techniques. Even with these techniques, people end up losing money sometimes. What this means is, you should invest in bitcoin if you are scared of losing your money. In fact, the rule is, invest only money you are willing to lose. There are no guarantees.

I think yes. For now that it is cheap I guess is the best time to invest. You need to think like a businessman will do. Yes it is unstable. But what if the next day it will. I think there's a greater chance for it to grow. So better try to invest now when it's still cheap.

I don't know a lot about bitcoin and cryptocurrency but I do invest in some businesses. Short-term? Probably. Long-term? Heck no.

If you look at bitcoin prices recently, it's a good time to buy some bitcoin, but you have to sell it after it rises for a few days because bitcoin prices are very unstable. Long-term investment is not a good idea because bitcoin hasn't rose significantly in years (mostly because a lot of people already invest in it), so it would be very risky. What I would recommend instead is to invest on other less-known cryptocurrencies.

Not at all.

Bitcoins and cryptos are overtaken by mafia and the 1% rich people. And it is not safe to invest into it. I think on that point alone I'd say it is not worthwhile to invest into any crypto coin. Currently bitcoin is existing because rich people have invested money and they want out soon. So after a year or so, crypto will be even more down.

I don't think it's wise to invest now.

The price drop last week was s bit massive and it was good to invest a couple of days ago when it was below the 4K level but the bargain hunting started and drove the price up 14 points in the last 48 hours, it's now at the 4.3K level. I do think that it would revert back to the 3k level because people would be selling the shares they've bought in the 3K level now for a quick profit of 20 plus percent.

With the majority of the governments against bitcoin, it is highly risky to invest in Bitcoin. Also there are security issues and not many people are aware of the crypto currencies. It is highly risky to invest in Bitcoin at the moment with the prices fluctuating very fast. One moment it could be down and the other moment it would be up.

Already stale and saturated

In its early days, Bitcoin would've been one of the best things to invest on. Cheap, easily-mined, and convenient.

Nowadays, it's a bad idea to invest in Bitcoin, (I only use it for buying things or investing short-term) because the cryptocurrency is so well-known that a lot of businessmen are investing in it and the prices have not risen significantly in years.

Even mining bitcoin is bad now. Not only did GPU prices rise (to my dismay as a PC gamer), but the money you make and the electricity you pay for doesn't make mining worth it (unless you're some kind of shady developer who places it secretly in websites or apps).

The final verdict? No.

Bitcoin is not unique. So investing so heavily in it is probably not a good idea. And the way the market sees cryptocurrency today is a bit of a down low. Not to mention that bitcoin has a limit threshold.

I am skeptical about investing in Bitcoin. It has always been in the news and though people are talking positively about it, there is no security for our investments and there is no sure shot information if it is profitable. In India, bitcoin is banned so I believe its for the good. It is good to invest in banks and government securities. Going with bitcoin is like playing a gamble, you can become super rich or be dragged into rags.

Yes, because of it's value as of the moment is low compared to the previous months before and I suggest that now is the perfect time to invest. I check it's value on a daily basis and definitely it will rise up again just like it does every year. Bitcoin is not yet stable as they may say but it's still the only one of its kind that has high value and keeps on reaching new heights every year end.

Smart traders and investors understand that the great time to make investments is in the course of a bearish market. Financial gurus always advise that investing in bitcoin is like throwing away your money, you never know when the value will go to zero. I advise that you invest in bitcoin, but wait abit until it hits rock bottom. It is predicted that in the next few months it will hit 1000 dollars. Also I advise that you invest money you can afford to loose e.g spending money. Instead of buying something you like invest in bitcoin. There is a chance the value of bitcoin will go up, there is a chance it will not.

Crypto was in boom last two years where most of the rich invested for short term and now they are out. You can see that in such context, it'd be waste to invest when the big league players are already out of the crypto market. On that note I'd say that being into this market early was good now a days it is more like trap.

It is not advisable to invest in Bitcoin at the moment because it is very risky and unstable. If you want a real investment, you can get it via bank but the gain is kind of small. On the other hand, if you have a good knowledge of how Bitcoin works then it would not be bad to take risk and do your thing. A cryptocurrency that aims to replace the dollar cannot have a 30% drop in a week, as it did a couple of months ago. Bitcoin had drops of 93% in 2011, 70% in 2013 or 86% in 2014 (apart from the first years where the roller coaster was continuous). And it can not multiply its value in a year without damaging the economy. This crypto is more prejudicial that it is good.

I’m not really into investing in things that can drastically fluctuate in value, and Bitcoin is absolutely one of those things that I personally wouldn’t invest in. It might be alright for those that have the money and are willing to put it on the line, but Bitcoin and most other cryptocurrencies have been incredibly volatile as of late. Sure, Bitcoin skyrocketed in value a while ago, but it’s been plummeting like a rock as of late, and who knows if it will ever be able to recover from this nose dive. It could actually be a slow end for Bitcoin, or it mind end up skyrocketing again, but no one can say for sure.

Well, some say it is the time to invest on it because of the lower value. So, whenever the value goes up, you will be winning. But personally, I don't like to rely a lot on those cryptocurrencies, because that market seems very unstable to me, and I don't have money enough to lose it. I've tried some other virtual money platforms that seem more stable, and change their value with less ups and downs, so that's why I rather stay with those.

Invest less than 1% of what you want to put into it per every week and be happy if your 1% doubles.. If it crashes next week, invest another 1%.. it’s called averaging in and it mitigates the large risk you take if you buy everything at one time.

Why do so many people invest in Bitcoin? Leaving speculators aside, investors long have believed that Bitcoin (in the future) will be the medium of universal exchange and the deposit of value that will replace the dollar, euro, etc. However, in the real world, buying something with Bitcoin or transferring funds - for example to a family member in another country - is not easy at all. There is no app that makes this more accessible, even though many startups have tried to achieve that. And even if it becomes usable, the fees are so high that they are not worth it.

Pardon me for this comment but I am scared when Bitcoin is the topic because I have so many questions that remain unanswered. First is the source of the Bitcoin that I have read to be from the mining. What exactly is a Bitcoin mine that we have to spend time on? Who pays us when we mine for Bitcoins? The US dollar as a legitimate currency is printed by the government with backing of gold reserves. Now what is the backing of the Bitcoin to consider it as a currency?
