Manual Toothbrush Is Better In Many Ways

Manual Toothbrush Is Better In Many Ways
I had been using manual tooth brush since I was born. I taught my kids to use manual toothbrush when they were toddlers too. Although powered toothbrush are more convenient for kids to brush their teeth, they may not know how to brush their teeth properly because the powered toothbrush does all the brushing movements. It is wise to teach kids how to brush their teeth while looking at the mirror, show them how the manual toothbrush should move around the teeth, get into those hard to reach places especially the molar teeth.

In addition, manual toothbrush are cost efficient. They are cheaper and easily bought at any convenience store, hypermarket or pharmacies. You can buy manual toothbrush in bulk when there is an offer because they do not expire. Manual toothbrush does not take up much space in your bag and you can change it every 3 months for hygiene purpose.

Furthermore, you can reuse old manual toothbrush to clean the kitchen sink, the toilet bowl, brush off the dust from your shoes.

Do you agree that manual toothbrush is better than powered toothbrush?

Manual toothbrush is better

Hello Have a wonderful day.

Manual toothbrush is better than powered toothbrush. I have been used manual toothbrush from the small child hood. But on this world for the last 25 years toothbrush system has been changed. Previously it was some hard and some times blood come for tooth brush. Now a days tooth brushes are very much soft and there have no possibility to come at the time of brush.

Thanks Centurion

Dear Centurion, I agree with you that nowadays, there are different range of toothbrush to choose from. From hard to soft, these toothbrush bristles are suitable for any type of consumers. In addition manual toothbrushes are cheaper and fancy colors .

I prefer manual

Nowadays, I prefer a manual toothbrush, though I wasn't like this as a kid

Growing up, I was always an avid user of an electric toothbrush. I loved the motorized bristles that rotate in a circulation motion. My dad did find the sound quite annoying. But I couldn't resist buying one. As I got older, I started using more manual toothbrushes. But I substituted an electric toothbrush with a home dental kit.

I've never been worried about being shocked by the electricity. I just more so focused on the cleaning quality regarding dental hygiene, instead of the motorized function itself.

Always Manual.

I've never tried Electric toothbrushes, but Manual toothbrushes have been amazingly good to fulfill my teeth hygiene needs. I've been taught to use manual toothbrushes since I was a kid and I never had a problem using it in all my life.

Manual Toothbrush Is Better In Many Ways

I've never particularly had an electric toothbrush since I always preferred the hand toothbrushes. I believe the hand toothbrushes are better for the hygiene of the teeth, because with them it is possible to have a better control of the brushing.

Tried electric, couldn't do it.

I would say that manual tooth brushes are the way to go. My biggest problem with electric toothbrushes is that you're pretty much limited to using it the way that the company intended you to, and typically I found that it doesn't always clean my teeth the way I'd like it.

When using a manual toothbrush I'm free to scrub with as much or as a little pressure as I'd like to and at the tempo I need to. There is more freedom and control, while using an electric toothbrush is a standardized approach that doesn't always work.

Manual

I prefer manual because I can control where I want to brush and it feels smoother for me. I think it also cleans more.

Never tried

Though I never tried the power toothbrush but still i prefer the manual one and have no plan to change it. Manual are way better and cost effective and we can change that as per our preference like in 2 months or 3 months by looking at its condition. Also these days a large variety of Manual toothbrush are available and they are very effective.

It's preference, and electric is mine

I feel like that the electric toothbrush does a better job of cleaning my mouth than a manual one; I don't feel like I have to use as much pressure when I use an electric toothbrush as when I use manual. My dentist does suggest I get a different model of electric toothbrush (something to do with mouth size and precision, I believe; I don't quite remember), but I have a cheaper electric model that still allows you to replace the bristles, so it's fine.

I'm not really sure how controlling an electric toothbrush is any different than a manual toothbrush. I can still reach all the places I need and want to, including my wisdom teeth, fine.

Yes, you can use manual toothbrushes for household tasks. I do make a point of going to my dentist regularly and have a plentiful supply for that purpose, as well as for on-the-go (rebuying a manual toothbrush on a far-away trip is a lot less painful than rebuying any electric toothbrush).

I don't think you need manual toothbrushes for household tasks anyway. They would just make your chores even harder. As far as I'm concerned, there are no cons with electric toothbrushes.

Disagree

I grew up using manual toothbrushes, but now that I'm older than before I realize that electric ones are more efficient to use than manual ones. Even when I went to the dentist, they always suggested using electric toothbrushes. They are better are cleaning out the gunk in your mouth. The first time I used one, my mouth just felt cleaner in general. Besides, they are not too expensive, and you can replace their heads every few months as well. You can also buy them in bulk. It all comes down to preference.

Dear Redvelvetcupcake, Thanks for your comments. Generally, it depends on each persons ability to afford the purchase of toothbrush. Some prefer to have electric toothbrush because it can last a long time, just change the heads when required but I heard that cost more than a single manual toothbrush, right?
reginafalange

I rather electric toothbrush

You can change the brush heads every 3 months too. It might be a bit more expensive than a manual toothbrush but it cleans your teeth way better and faster. Usually electric toothbrushes can clean your teeth in just two minutes. They move faster than hands and their heads are smaller. The only disadvantage is that you have to remember to charge them.

I have a manual and electric toothbrush. I like the electric toothbrush because it has timer, it glides nicely against my teeth and for my gums plus there is a UV sanitizers for the electric toothbrush. I also use the manual too. It depends on my mood and you are right the manual you can use it for other things around the house afterwards before discarding.

I have never used the electric toothbrush, just doing it the old way. Hope their won't be electrical shock leading to shock by the electric current.

Electric toothbrushes are water better at cleaning my teeth, once I switched I never looked back. The one I got was 20 dollars but it was pretty high quality and if I need to switch brushes I just buy a pack of replacement tops which are really cheap.

I actually use both an electric toothbrush and a manual one so I couldn't really vote either way on this one. If I'm going on a trip or planning to spend the night at a friend's place I have a manual one. At home I most use my electric one. I really don't notice a difference in how clean my teeth feel using either one.

I never used an electric toothbrush, because I dont find a striking difference in cleaning properties of an electric and manual toothbrush. I dont see any sense in spending more money for the electric tool. Rather I would replace my manual one every month to control the quality of the bristle to ensure its efficacy.

I've never used electric toothbrush ever sine in my life. I only use manual toothbrush since that is what my parents have taught me when I was still a child. I can't say much about which is better the manual or the electric beause I haven't use the electric one but manual toothbrush is indeed a great tool to clean your teeth.

Performance wise, the electric toothbrush is superior to the manual one. Cost effective wise the manual is better, but that's about the only plus side to it. The electric toothbrush is probably better to the mass because it's a "work less do more" kind of product. It cleans very thoroughly and a lot better than a manual. The amount of brushing you have to do to compare with a manual toothbrush is pretty ridiculous.

For my entire life I have always used manual toothbrush. I have never used electric toothbrush. Since I don't know electric tooth brush, I cannot say how beneficial are these products. However, manual tooth brush are the cheapest option to clean your teeth, why should you spend a lot of money just to clean teeth. You can use that money to pay dentist fees instead.

There are advantages to both, but I would say manual is more economical and hygienic because bacteria builds up on a tooth brush. Basically if you are ill you should dispose of it straightaway and if you have an electric one to toss that brush head regardless of how much it cost. Also manual is better for traveling as it's much lighter and you don't need to think about a power source.

I use an electric toothbrush and most dentists prefer them for their patients. They do a better job and make it easier to brush. I think that these brushes are the best brushes for keeping your teeth clean. I would use an electric toothbrush over a manual anytime.

I can't really compare these two, as I have never use electric toothbrush before and I never really thought of giving it a try. I still prefer the manual toothbrush as I think there isn't a need for me to invest money in getting a more expensive electronic toothbrush, and I don't know if I will enjoy putting an electric stuff into my mouth (though I know I might get used to it once I try it). Moreover, as you mentioned, I also use the used toothbrush for other cleaning purpose, so it's more cost effective too. I am happy with the manual toothbrush, so I don't think of making a change.

I feel cleaner when I use an electric toothbrush. I think its motorized functions help to clean your teeth efficiently. When you use a manual toothbrush, you are not sure if it is cleaning your teeth well, because you are using your limited human resources to scrub against your teeth. I find them kind of cool as well. They make brushing your teeth more fun, and you can clean various places more efficiently. If you still don't feel clean, you can always use mouthwash.

My dentist prefers that I use an electric toothbrush. He says that they can get to spots on teeth that you might miss when you're doing it manually. I also like the fact that electric toothbrushes have the clock on them that tells you when you've gone the full two minutes. (Mine even smiles at me!)
