Meditation for confidence

Meditation for confidence
Meditation is the art of quieting the mind, a form of deep relaxation for the mind, body and spirit. Many cultures use meditations some think you have to be cross-legged chanting "om" even tho this is one of the ways but you do not have to do it like this. There are many audio, videos and guided meditations to even books on the subject. I have a lot of knowledge of meditation and over the years I have written my own meditations and made even articles on the matter at hand. Meditation can benefit everyone even businessmen and women, it can also be good for your health limiting stress, anger and also blood pressure. You can even boost confidence with meditation, as everyone needs confidence and this can be many struggles of what some suffer from today "low-confidence".

Maybe your a blogger/website owner and stress daily about your content or can't think/concentrate on creating blog posts to even getting traffic. The fact is as well thinking negative is apart of low confidence, when you "think negative" you actually bring negative. So why not think positive for a change, when something bad is about to enter your mind quickly replace it with a positive and you will notice in time the outcome will be much more beneficial for you. Some may even not believe this and think "mumbo jumbo" well how do you know unless you give it a try. The next time you think "I can't do this" change it to "I can do this and I ain't going to quit" creating the positive atmosphere really does help.

Here is a meditation I wrote to help those who need a confidence boost:

Find somewhere quiet, where you will not be disturbed for 15 to 20 minutes. Now, sit back with your back straight and hands on knees and close your eyes. Start by taking a deep breath in through your nose and holding for the count of 4 then slowly exhale. Breathing more through the nose allows more oxygen to your brain helping you relax more. Again deep breathe through the nose and hold... slowly exhale out the mouth, keep doing this repeatedly over and over just focusing on your breath. Do this for 5 minutes, once you have done this and while doing the rest of this meditation keep on doing it. Now, I want you to with your eyes still closed visualize in your mind a time when you felt less confident try and see this as clear as you possibly can in your mind. Notice on how you felt and bring them feelings forward to you now, feel how you felt and at the time what did you hear and see. This does help to feel how you felt, it may be that you were told by someone your not good at anything.

Yeah, it may not feel good about bringing these old memories to light when asking you to visualize and feel, sense and see this again. But this does help, so with your eyes still shut and thinking and seeing the moment you felt less confident. You may feel at the time you was upset when you felt like this bring all these feelings, right. Now I want you to visualize that yourself is looking into a tall mirror at the same height as you are. Please keep doing this with your eyes shut, see your see looking at your self in the mirror. As you look into this mirror you notice this image looking back at you is actually you, but your image seems different. This image of you is a much stronger you and confident take a look at this other you what is different about this other you what are you wearing what is your expressions. I now want to see you visualize this much confident you step out the mirror, and this confident you step's into your body. This is making you become one, a much more confident person which is your right to feel this. Now as the confident you step's into you deep breath and feel this confidence feel the feelings, see what this confident you see and hears.

Take another deep breath in and see this much more confident you who can take control of there life and take anything on. Say in your mind "I am confident and have the confidence to take control of my life and be what I want to be" allowing positive energy enter your life and visualise a white light of a bubble all around you. This bubble of white light is your protection from negative energies and influences. Taking another deep breath in, and again visualize this much more confident you notice how you feel inside knowing when someone says "you can't do that" YOU are the kind of person to prove them wrong and you can do it you are successful and confident human being. Slowly count down from 10 to 0, 10 feeling very relaxed 9 feeling stronger and positive 8 feeling confident. Keep counting slowly taking a deep breath in between each number, when you get to 0 slowly open your eyes and notice how you feel.

Hope this helps just give it ago, notice after you will feel much more better about your self.

Meditation is very important because it will help you to think properly and focus well on the goal that you want to achieve, thereby making you to be confident that you will achieve your goal.

I agree with you! Meditation is closely related to the Law of Attraction and you can focus on your desires and make the Universe work for you. This is simply a magic thing, a remedy for our soul.

Meditation is medicinal because it helps to solve a lot in our lives. If one has no self confidence one can meditate for a way out and think of an inward solution during meditation. With the thought out solutions he or she can put it into practice to have a better result.

I also agree with you! I do not know if there is any scientific research showing the benefits of meditation, but I confess that this practice is very beneficial for many areas of our lives. Recently I started to practice meditation and I think I have become a more positive and focused person. I think it's a way to find balance in life and reflect every action of our day to day.

Meditation and gratitude definitely helps. You can see that most of the people who invest their time and the money into meditation end up saving a lot of headache and the psychological issues. That in itself can be good for many reasons. I have just learned that some of the time it'd be reasonable to do some level of positive psychology. That always works out for many people from what I have seen.

I think some of the time gratitude has it's effects on our body. And ability to keep the mind and body in the order is the job of the meditation. So you can see that some of the time it would be interesting to see how that works out. I guess with enough efforts we learn how to learn from the meditation peace.

Never tried it, but great reviews and opinion about it everywhere. People that practice meditation say that helps them be more focused, also learn how to deal with inner self issues, and become more confident by trusting in themselves. The closest experience to it, have been by doing Yoga, and certainly it has helped me a lot to be more patient, improve my breathing, and concentrate in a single idea at a time. Definitively, I'm way interested on trying it in a proper way.

I read a book on meditation when I was a ninth grader. The book not only explained about what meditation is and what it does to our body and mind, but also introducted various meditation techniques. The one that fascinated me was mindful meditation. I did some research on mindful meditation and found out that there was a mindful meditation resort in my town. I was a school going kid, therefore, I could not attend the meditation resort. However, I practiced in him. Sadly, I could not be a regular.

I had never really heard about the concept of conscious meditation. I'm going to research on this, because your story has piqued my curiosity. Thank you for sharing this with us!

You learned about the meditation in the early days it seems. I have picked up on the meditation recently. And there seems to be a lot of things left to learn. I guess with enough time I may have to work harder and learn to calm my mind in the midst of the chaos. So things are going to be working accordingly. I guess we learn from the efforts taken.

I consider meditation to be very important and I meditate on a daily basis. I really enjoy listening to meditating music. The good thing is that many kinds of meditating music are now available for free online. I meditate whenever I feel sick or I am under stress. I also practice yoga regularly. This helps me to feel relaxed and happy.

I also have an opinion similar to yours. I like to listen to musics to meditate. My favorites are songs with the sound of rain and the sea. Really meditating makes a big difference in my life and even in my daily decisions. I recommend this to everyone.

When I am to face a panel or will be reporting to my superior, fear is always in my mind. What I do is to concentrate that I can do it and it’s just a part of life. The same with the situation when I am in the hospital for surgery, I also do that concentration that others call meditation to reinforce my courage and confidence in facing life. It’s not easy but we can learn how and with a little practice, we can do meditation.

Your tips are very interesting and can be used at any time in our lives. I think our mind is extremely powerful and if we can control it, then we can do so much more for our lives.

Yes! I love meditation and I think that it helps me deal with my stress and all other problems very nicely. Also I find a lot of things about myself when I meditate and it's always very nice! I can not start to describe the positive effects of meditation in my life!

I think meditation is a natural remedy for the soul. With this simple practice it is possible to eliminate stress, anxiety and become more focused on life. I have been experiencing meditation for a few months and I can assure you that I already feel a great difference in my life.

Yes, it is true that success begins in the mind. Before you can become successful in life, the journey has to start in the mind. You really have to think about something and must be very sure you are convinced within your mind before you start making any move about it at all. Once your mind is through about it, you must then take actions. You must be an action taker to have all of your passions truly turned into a thriving success.

i feel being mentally strong is a serious key ingredient when it comes to achieving great things in life, if you cant envision something first you just wont have the gusto and enthusiasm you need to make it. look at all the greats they all share this amazing inner strength. Meditating can make you unstoppable its telling yourself I am great, I am strong I am amazing then your whole being believes it, changes your forever.

Meditation is a cure for many things in life. Personally, it helps me feel positive and remain focused through the day. I watch Oprah on a programme she hosts called Super Soul Sunday. All the guests she hosts are successful in their different fields. They all attribute their success to meditation. What I like is that whatever religion they come from, they all meditate. Some religions discourage meditation. The most I can meditate for is 10 minutes, it's not easy to stay focused .To guide me through my meditation practice, I listen to Deepak Chopra Meditation on You tube. I find his meditation practice calming and reassuring.

Meditation can work by doing true miracles in our favor, but to get to that point you need to know how to meditate. something that can be very difficult if you don't understand the essence of the activity (which seems to be something easy, but it's not). Meditation is something that requires a lot of attention, concentration and willpower.

I do think meditation works but I think people mistake meditation for just sitting somewhere quiet and being still. I am a believer that meditation can happen when you are working on something and totally just zoning out. Sometimes doing an activity that you can completely get lost in can be your own meditation, as long as you are able to sink yourself so deep into it that you forget everything else and maybe even forget that you are moving and doing something. As someone who has a lot of hobbies I can say I don't traditionally meditate but am able to meditate in this way many times.

If I am alone, I see to it I can have some moment with myself. Meditation is my way to recharge my batteries and to calm my mind down. This helps me to at least lessen my worries, negative thoughts, and feelings. It is a practice that helps to be more confident in ourselves.

If you find it difficult to trust then you have to step back. You have to dive deep into your memories. You have to go back to the past. Clear the mind of the impressions of the past. You must be carrying a lot of trash from the past; get rid of it.

This is the key to having confidence: if you manage to not only remember all of this, but also get rid of those memories. Do this during meditation.

I personally find it a bit more difficult to meditate in the traditional way but I am able to do it easily when I get into one of my favorite activities. If I sink myself deep enough into any one of my hobbies I definitely get lost way easier when I'm focused on a task and before I know it, I already feel like I've been meditating for hours. I get that it's probably different from traditional meditation and it probably can help me better but for now this works well enough for me. I do agree that it can give you confidence though as it is when people get in touch with themselves that they become a lot more whole and therefore stronger and more able to deal with daily life.

I do meditation not for whenever I am nervous but when I have spare time. I try to find a quiet place where I can think deeply on the events happening in my life and maneuver those into something positive. Meditating doesn't really work for me when i am nervous because more quiet time will only make me think of bad outcomes. I guess we all have different purposes on meditating and I do what works well for me.

I love meditation. It's just such a powerful tool that we can use but too many people seem to ignore it. It has helped me a lot not just with confidence but more so with stress, anxiety and other issues. I have been doing it for a while now and it didn't take very long to notice the positive effects. Just stick to it and learn the right techniques! It's worth it.

I admire people who can meditate when they want to. In this fast-paced world, we need meditation as a way of purging our mind of the stress brought by pressures of the daily grind of life. But I admit that I don’t meditate because I don’t know the techniques very well. Besides, it seems that I cannot find the time for myself since I am loaded with my daily schedule that I always fall flat on the bed when I retire.

I completely agree with the power of meditation. It's a good way relieve stress and anxiety. Even just a breathing exercise will help a lot. I also use meditation to calm myself specially during presentations and meetings. The best part of it is its free and natural.

It's true. Meditation is very helpful when you want to condition your mind in the right state which works perfectly fine, so you can do things properly as well. Yes, I agree you have to have a good mind setting in order for you to have a good output and also for building up your personality such as having a good confidence and etc. You know, I meditate my self even in a simple way for me to make a better decision where I'm having a dilemma.

Meditation can truly be very helpful in tackling most of the problems like Stress , Tensions,Anxiety , Lack of confidence etc. One has to meditate regularly in order to see the positive effects on the mind and body. I usually try to meditate for at least 30 minutes everyday and i do feel refreshed and recharged after doing Meditation. I follow the ancient Meditation technique of Vipassana which teaches us to remain in the present moment.

Thank you for sharing the meditation way to boost confidence. I did not know meditation can be used to boost confidence or for certain improvement, I thought that's affirmation. I usually use meditation as a way of being mindfulness, I just sit down quietly and try to clear my mind, or watch my mind flow. I used to think what helps being mindfulness will bring, if I don't self talk, don't visualize, don't use the affirmation words. The more I learn and practice, the better effect I can feel from meditation. It's really a great exercise or method where everyone can learn to practice and be good to ourselves.

When you say meditation it is the art of full concentration that you focus your strength on a particular thing like if you need to take an exam on the next day you meditate to strengthen your mind on the review of the test. For confidence build up you can focus on your good points so that your assets will make you realize that you are indeed not just any ordinary person that you have something that you can be proud of.
