For a while now I want to learn a third language. I only know English besides my native tongue and I feel this isn't enough in 2018. I have co-workers and connections which are capable of speaking at an above average level at least three languages. So I definitely needed to up my game and learn another language.

I learned English from a very young age; it wasn't a problem because this language surrounded me everywhere. Everything I cool was in English (music, games, movies, and cartoons) were all in English. I personally dislike all Romance languages. French, Spanish, Portuguese or Italian, I don't feel any attraction towards any them. What I do feel attracted by are Germanic and Slavic based languages, maybe some exotic stuff like Mandarin or Japanese. For no particular reason, I started with Russian and used Mondly to start learning it.

If you want to learn a second language but don't want o waste time and money hiring a tutor, use today's technology to your advantage. Install a language learning app and go wild, basically, the sky is the limit with these things. I've chosen Mondly: simple to use with high-quality sounds and graphics. It also has a cool web version ( https://www.mondly.com ) from which you can start learning in seconds. I was impressed enough to actually buy the premium version.

It only costs 40 bucks to unlock all 34 languages you can learn as well as all the lessons and premium features.

I have never heard of the language learning app called Mondly. I have heard of other similar language learning apps, however, until now I have not tried any of these. I think the best part of Mondly is the pricing. If we can unlock 34 languages just for $40 that this must be the cheapest language learning program available. I use English as a second language. I want to improve my English diction. I am also interested in learning French.

The choice of languages is impressive: in addition to the basic French, Spanish and English, there are others like Finnish, Vietnamese and Hungarian. We opted for an intermediary, German. The app teaches based on phrases and translation. For example, to learn the words 'soup' and 'salad', we must learn to say 'I want a soup / salad'. For some words, like "entschuldigung" (with license), a teacher is lacking to evaluate the pronunciation. Good thing: before you start a new lesson, you need to remember what you learned in the previous lesson.

The app is very intuitive and easy to use. You sort of get the hang of it after a while of using. It is also fun to use as it is designed like a game. Definitely a recommended app if you are looking for a way to learn a new language which isn't as costly as a tutor, and much less hassle than going to a class.
