Movie theater or Movie at home?

Movie theater or Movie at home?
If you're in a 3 years or longer relationship. Does it still essential to go out with your partner just to watch movie. I mean why watch the movie now? If you can wait for a copy and watch it at home. Where the movie is free, you have free and unlimited snack, and a comfortable couch that you be in any position.

Dont get me wrong but I still think once in a while would be great. Like if we go out for shopping and we feel that we want to watch a movie. We just pick a random showing movie. And if love it we still get a copy and watch it at home.

What your thoughts??

Going Out

Sometimes it's good to watch movies in the comforts of your own home but there should also be times to watch movies somewhere else. A change in environment is good, and since you're already out you can do other activities like shopping and eating at a restaurant and just having a wonderful date night.

Better visual and sound effect

Though I can't afford to go to movie theater to watch all the movies I like, if I would have to choose, I would still prefer to go cinema and watch movies together with my husband, even though we have been in relationship for about 20 years. I just think the experience of watching movies in the cinema is much better, and we both can really enjoy the atmosphere in the cinema and also going out. Watching movies at home doesn't give me the similar experience, perhaps unless we make it something special.

Going Out

It's always better to go out and watch things. That can surely be good enough for watching stuff. And you can see that movie theater is often the right place for the socializing. And you get to have more talks and small talks that can lead to the bonding with friends and the people around. You can see that for such experience it's better to go out.

Theatre

I like going to the Movie House to watch a blockbuster film. It's more exciting to watch a good movie in the big screen than watching it at home.

Movie theater of course

Watching movies outside is I think a better way to not only enjoy a film but to have more precious time with the family. Going outside offers you a lot more of fun activities. Well aside from watching movies, the family can eat in restaurants, go to amusement parks and even go view beautiful spots in their area. Unlike staying at home and just watching a movie, I know there is still this precious time together with the family but the activities are limited.

Movie In The Theatre

Movie in the theater is the best. You are out and you revive memories together. Once in a while we need to go out even for small things like seeing a movie together. In the theatre you can still a kiss there or a pat there. It is a good idea.

Movie theater

You can watch movies from home everyday , but a movie night at a theater is a special night. You get to watch the movie at a giant screen with good sound and nacho chips. You experience the movie better by being overwhelmed by image and sound and also experience the reactions of the crowd along with you.

no need to wash dishes later

The main advantage I see when you opt to watch a movie in the theater is that there are no dishes to wash afterwards. That is always a welcome treat for the one who does the dishes.

Go out and enjoy yourself

A movie is made to be seen in a theatre. There is a lot of effort of technicians, artists, graphics artists, editors, writers, lyricists, music directors and actors. You have to watch it in the theatre for their effort. Also, the sound system and the effects will make you feel like you are experiencing something very new when you come to a theatre.

A Better Viewing Experience

I prefer to go out to a movie theater because it's a completely different experience than watching a movie at home. While it is nice to have control over the movie (such as pausing for a bathroom break), I think it's more immersive to watch the movie in the theater. No matter how big your television at home is, it can't really compare to an enormous screen with booming surround sound. Imagine watching a movie like Jurassic Park at home vs. in the movie theater. I think seeing the dinosaurs on the big screen wins hands down!

Movie Theater

I still choose Movie Theater. It gives you a different atmosphere and different vibes. At home, it's just the same. It's just like watching television. I still like to be able to go out and relax. Going out for a movie is one way for me to relax.

Movie at home!

Personally, I prefer watching movies at home I hate going out and I love the comfort of my own home. Going to the movie theater and waiting in line to get a movie ticket is a kind of annoying and also the best perk of watching a movie at home is I can pause and re-watch my favorite movies anytime I want and also I can go to the comfort room without missing some scene. Both of them are great, but I just prefer watching movies at home.

home is cozier and popcorn is healthier

I love staying home in my PJ's, snuggled up with my family and a blanket, enjoying a movie together. While the sound isn't as good, and the screen isn't nearly as big, it's so much cozier than going to the movie theater. Also, we love to make our own popcorn on the stove. We use grass-fed butter and put nutritional yeast on it. It's healthy and very tasty! Occasionally we will also make caramel popcorn. I love home-made popcorn.

I like watching at home more because it's more comfortable. From time to time, watching at a theater can be more fun and the experience can't really be replicated at home no matter how good your system is. However, even then, the comfort of being able to watch at home still outweighs the benefits of going to a theater, for me personally.

More relaxing and no need to worry about schedules

Movie ALONE at Home

I'm antisocial but I don't think I'm the only one when I say people in the movie theaters are the worst. They don't respect the people around them and you can't enjoy the movie fully because of it. I'd rather watch the movie pirated 6 months after the release at home than watch it as soon as it releases in theaters with rude people. Movies are best enjoyed in silence.

Practical and Convenient

I have nothing against watching movies in theater. However, watching movies at home is more practical than the other. You spend less but you can do more to make that memorable. You can do a lot of things at home than in theaters with other people around you. When at home, you are comfortable to move. You can also have the privilege to pause or playback the movie if you want to.

Why struggle to buy tickets when we just wait for the movie to be out and watch it at home. I definitely choose the comfort of my couch over the discomfort of a theatre seat. I choose to watch it with my loved one and probably some few close friends. This way we can enjoy our privacy, make crazy comments and relate with the movie and its characters as much as possible.

I just love the comfort of watching from home. Watching movies in a good TV with surround sound, homemade popcorn, my comfy couch, and the ability to watch any movie I want 24/7 is just heaven. The only reason why I'd want to watch movies in a theater is if either I really want to watch a movie early to avoid spoilers (like Infinity War) or if the movie is very good in IMAX (Interstellar in IMAX was godly).

The comfort at home that it brings while watching movie is a great consideration. We can do any comfortable position that nobody can disturbed. We can chat and laugh all the way we want. It really depends on what movie we are going to watch. Personally, I would watch in a movie theater for new movies and also to be updated on other upcoming movies. Old movies and the particular favorites are best watched at home with popcorn and cheesy dips.

Why do we watch movies in theatres?

Well, for some it's because of the acoustics, to some others the very "prestige" they attach to getting to watch movies in a theatre is the reason. Some can't wait for movies to be out on DVD, they would want to be the first to see a movie, so that afterwards they could kind of boast of Haven watched "the new movie". These and so many more are reasons why people decide to watch movies in theatres.

But let's compare it to watching movies at home.

At hom, it's obvious you have to wait for the movies to be out on theatres first, before they're subsequently released for watching on DVDs. But at home, you can have nearly the same experience as you would if you go to a cinema. With good sound systems you can enjoy a hight quality sound of your movie. At home, you watch the movie cheaper, and as many as possible. In addition, you do not have yo fear movies lasting to late in the night; it's your house. About the pop corns and ice creams served in cinemas, it's a no brainer that you can get them in the nearest eatry.

On the prestige. It's about mind-set, you can derive as much joy and prestige from watching movies at home as much as you'd do from watching in cinemas, only if you can think differently.

For me, I will prefer watching movies at home all the time, and also watch in cinemas once in a while

To me watching movies at home means a lot of savings, that's about $7 savings on parking and petrol, if I'm with my wife and 2 kids a movie pass costs $6 each so I have to spend $24 plus let's add the food which is about $4 per person or $16. So that's about $50 total for 4 persons to watch z movie. Now if we're going to watch st home then all that money can be saved or half of it because the other half would be for snacks.

I’ve gone to the movie theater maybe a total of 10 times in my entire life. Most people go practically every weekend, but personally, I’m not a fan of the cinema. To me, there is nothing appealing about the experience. Depending on the theater, the screen quality could be standard to subpar, the snacks are overpriced, the seats are dirty, and the people are annoying. If I watch a movie at home, I can sit on my comfortable couch with a pile of cheap snacks and watch in ultra-high definition quality. Not to mention if I have to go to the bathroom I can just pause the film instead of missing out.

At home or most places other than a cinema, you’re in control of the movie. And that very control allows you to pause the movie, chat with someone next to you, get yourself some snacks, take a call or respond to messages. And each of these things detracts from the movie experience in a small way. But taken as a whole, you enjoy the movie experience less outside the cinema because you’re less immersed in it and more distracted by other things. Of course, if you’re watching a movie on a broadcast or cable television channel, you might still not have control because you don’t have a set-top box with pause capability. But in this case, you’d be watching a movie with advertising peppered throughout — that’s certainly not the best way to enjoy a movie!

However because of the pressures of modern life, very few people have the time or the money to do this anymore. Most people me included now watch movies on television. When we get the chance I think everyone would prefer to go to the theater but its just not practical and not the way that modern life works.

I love to watch movies anytime and anywhere. going out to a theatre with friends and family can be definitely an enjoyable experience. However watching movies in the comfort of your home is always a better option. When you watch a movie at your home you are able to save a lot of money and it also saves your time and effort. You can always pause the movie if you have to do something important in between, and resume watching it afterwards.

Honestly, I rather watch a movie at the theater than at home. The super big screen, visual and sound effects, sharing with friends or family all the emotion, it really worth it. However, I don't go to the theater for any movie, I just leave it for the ones that have special effects, so I can watch them on big scale. But any other movie, I rather watch it at home, because is cheaper and is very comfy, also I can stop it, forward or rewind it, and that's a bonus.

Watching movie on a theater once in a while with your partner is a great thing to do. Even if you have your own home theater, treating your significant other helps to rekindle your sweet memories together.

Watching movie on the big screen must remain a big thing. Just Because you watch the movie on your tv at home does not make it a good experience. Watching it from the theater is best way to do it especially when its full cause you feel the excitement and reactions of the people also watching. And also watching it from home is kind of boring in someway.

While I understand that some folks like maxing out their comfort and convenience with their own home setup, there's just nothing like going to the theater with friends or a date. The popcorn tastes different, the trailers are exciting, and it makes the entertainment much more of an "event" !

I guess you're right, but how is the popcorn different? Note that the TS said they have been going out for three years already. Just imagine going to the theatres for three straight years, that popcorn is not different and tastes the same each time you buy. Trailers are great though.

I seldom Watch Movies in cinemas with my partner nowadays, but on occassions when there's a good movie worth watching, the whole family including my kids would go and watch it. Watching Movies in cinemas is good for family bonding and recreation.

I prefer movies at home because you can chose any movie you like and watch how many as you wish. You can also drink and eat what you wish and invite any person to watch the movie with you without paying for the tickets and choosing a seat.

Going out and watching movie in cinemas is way more exciting than just being at home, I don't know but going out certainly makes you feel more excited and enjoy things more than just being at home but it's also good to watch movies by the comfort of our own home.

The good thing about the options above is everyone has a choice. For those people who loves hanging out with friends, family or loved ones, they have the option to watch a movie in a theater. However, for those people who wants to watch movies in theaters but don't have enough budget to do so have the option to watch the movies they want in their home.

Home is more comfortable. All you need is a good lcd or led tv, a sofa, the move you want to watch, and food of course to make everything well and enjoyable. At home, you can sit in any position you want, lay down, wear any comfortable clothes you prefer, and even have the closest people to you to watch with you.

The film experience is better in the theatre. The screen is bigger, the sound is louder and so on. For some genres of film, this is a big deal (genres that rely on spectacle. Eg some war movies, action films etc). For others not. But, going to the cinema is expensive. It'll run me at minimum £10 in the UK, likely nearer £20. Also, there may be people being noisy in the screening, or annoying kids that will kick seats etc. I also can't get up to go to the toilet without missing some of the movie and must pay exorbitant prices for refreshments.

All in all, I prefer watching films at home.

The quality of the sound is a great advantage, without a doubt. Sound is part of the experience of going to the movies, is part of its essence, its charm. It is not the same to see a war movie without a good sound than with it. The sound makes you jump right into the movie, makes you feel that you are truly there.

I prefer movies at home because it's more peaceful and cheaper. A Netflix subscription gives us access to so many movies and shows compared to movie theaters where we pay per head but it's good to go out for a movie every once in a while, I think it's very romantic, staying at home can get very boring.

I would much rather watch movies at home than in a theater. Aside from it being more comfortable, it is also more economical. Sometimes there would be moviegoers who would talk and talk throughout the movie like a live commentary on a sports program and of course the occasional kid crying inside the theater. There are just less distractions at home. I only watch in the theater when I am so hyped about a film and couldn't wait for it to come out on home media.

Well I think it depends, since some of us like to go on a theater and some just stay at home and watch television. If you're having a date, then of course you would prefer going on a theater with your date since you want to spend some to him/her. If you no enough money, your antisocial or you just want to have some bonding with your family and you don't to spend a lot of money, then staying in you house and television is a good idea.

It depends on the number of people who will watch the movie and also the purpose. If there are 4 or more in the family that will watch the movie then it is more economical if you watch it at home by streaming or the DVD version. But for 2 people who will watch like going on a date then it is the cinema. I always watch a movie with my husband and we make it a sort of a date in the cinema. We rarely watch movies at home.

I prefer going out, it's more fun to me especially when we I'm only with my girlfriend, because it's a great way to bond with each other and have fun, going out is a different feeling that just at home, but I also love watching at home especially if many of us would watch because in that way we could save money in just the comfort of our home.

One thing I like about watching movies at home is that I could pause it whenever I need to go to the bathroom. Also I can rewind it, to see or hear things that I missed. Also I get to indulge on popcorn and other movie snacks which I make whenever I watch movies at home.

I think that the reasons that govern this debate, mainly, are two: comfort and quality. The comfort one has at home is not comparable. In the same way, the quality of the screen and the sound of the cinema has nothing to do, for the price, with which we can obtain at home. In such a way that you have to choose for yourself what is most important, whether the comfort of your home or the experience that the cinema provides.
