Music from your childhood

Music from your childhood
You probably remember lots of music from when you were a kid. Do you remember those discos at school? The music you used to listen with your friends? That's what i'm talking about.

  • you have positive associations with it
  • stars weren't that manufactured
  • less trend following

  • not that easy to find
  • might sound dated
  • possibly worse sound quality

Music of yesteryear

I do love music these days, well some of it. The typical music I listen to now is mostly like atmospheric, or native american sounding music. My genre of music has evolved over the years so my taste is far more different than my peers. I like music that calms, relaxes, and puts you in a good mood. A lot of music these days are about drugs, money, violence, and sex. Those factors do not fit well with me. I am also not a materialistic person so today's music does nothing for me at all. I do have some favorite singers of course, but they are rare for me to come by because everything is so pop-ish these days. I also remembered music when I was growing up it had a lot more emotion attached with it. The lyrics of the songs were very relatable and you could connect with the singer on a deep level. However, with today's music it is very hard to do that unless you're Hugh Hefner or someone really famous with lots of money, violence, and drugs.

I definitely prefer the music from my childhood. Today's music, even though that I listen to it, is much lower quality. It all sounds very generic and similar. New artists come out and get launched every single week.

Back when I was a kid, we had a few celebrities, a few true singers that could sing anything you threw at them. Those were the real stars and those people were the ones that had a huge influence on shaping the music industry.

I will always prefer the old music because it's simply the best and much higher production quality.

Old times

Although there are quality songs being made nowadays still most of them are just plain boring really. Nothing takes me back like listening to some good old music

Classic musics are the best!

I prefer to listen to the music from my childhood than listening to the modern music. I don't know why but listening to the music from my childhood is way cooler than modern music. I also listens to the musics even though I am not yet born that time. My father always listen to that musics and I like it especially the songs of The Beatles. They are the best band for me. And I am a fan of them even though I am not yet born in the time they are so popular. Classic music rules!

Music from my teen years was so much better

Music from my teen years (14-19) beats the ever-loving crap out of what passes for music these days. I listen to a lot of music still, current music. But I am rather picky. When I was a teenager, you had better beats, sounds, artists, groups and overall music. What comes out these days just simply cannot compare.

I like music from my childhood.

It reminds me of my childhood. The music back then was good and the lyrics held a deeper meaning. Most people nowadays sing to make money unlike back then when real singers will put their whole heart into a song. I love love songs from my childhood.

I vote for music from my childhood. I am familiar with those music. Modern music is not familiar to me.

More relaxing

I found modern music very noisy. Its not because of their tone or their sounds. But its just because I cant understand it. Back those days we loved songs and muaic because of its solemnly music and very meaningful lyrics. But now they love music because of the singer. Even though they cant understand.the lyrics as long as theyre on the trend.

Music from childhood.

Music from my childhood and modern music are both great but if I would choose one between this two I will go with the music from my childhood. Nostalgia is a great factor why I choose the music from my childhood and also there are a lot of good memories attached to this music.

Modern music

Modern music
Music nowadays is so easy to get. There are streaming services, many artists publish their works on youtube and people don't buy CDs that often now. You can find music much easier than before.

  • modern production
  • dooesn't sound dated
  • easy to find and get

  • most of the popular music is manufatured
  • doesn't make you think about your childhood

Modern, definitely not from my childhood.

I both like listening to a good music whether it's old or modern since they both make me feel relaxing, the way I like it. Whenever I'm in stress, I use to listen to a good music to make me feel chill and calm. It doesn't matter whether it's old or new, as long as it's good to my ear. I enjoy both of them.

I used to be like you that I listen to music in order to relax myself. But now, I would like to listen to old songs only particularly those songs that became popular during my younger days in the 1970s and 1980s. It is nostalgic to me whenever I would hear those old songs because it’s like traveling back in time. When I am driving in heavy traffic, the stress leaves me when the radio plays those nice old songs.

I don't remember any music from childhood. In fact, when I was a kid I did not listen to music. I did sing and listen to rhymes when I was in kindergarten and elementary school. The first musician that I knew when I was a kid was Micheal jackson. However, I did not know him as a singer, rather as a dancer. I even tried to copy his movies. I developed taste in music only when I was in the teens.

I have a couple of songs that I like from both my childhood and the songs that we have today. I can't pick one of the two because I like both of them. Childhood music makes me feel nostalgia and sometimes I feel chills, the good kind of chills, hearing them after a long time. I also like the modern music today especially the upbeat music.

I love variety so I appreciate both music from my childhood and modern music. Most childhood songs can be downloaded for free and are still being played on the radio. Some were also revived by new artists. There are far more unforgettable music from yesterday than there are today and there are far better singers then that what we see today. Music in my childhood did not only include current hits at the time but also my parents' favorites which are what we often hear inside the house.

Whenever I would hear music from my childhood, I never fail to feel sentimental maybe because I had a nice childhood. When I started working, I was into modern music. But now that I am a senior, it seems that my childhood music sound better then the modern music when I was an adult. But with the present modern music, I don’t like it particularly the hiphop and rap, forget it.

I do not particularly like the current songs. I was born in 1989 and I think I got a great time of songs. Today I have the habit of listening to songs from the 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000. But I confess that the most current songs simply do not please me very much. Just my taste.

I don't know but I think I still prefer my oldie songs,I really missed some of those songs I really loved them. There were so melodious, sang with good vocals and the lyrics were meaningful and great.Stars these days are trying but I sing so much about immoral things it always about sex, violence and drugs. No, no matter the instrumentals, lyrics of a song should be meaningful and great.

Wow! I love music from my childhood! Music from my childhood has a very deep impact on my soul as an individual. I really do miss them and prefer them to all the music I have been hearing of late which does not for the most part carry much weight to my mind. The kind of music I was exposed to from my childhood has had a profound impact on how I view the world, they have been truly a guiding light of sanity and mental equilibrium for my person. As compared to most of the songs that are being put out there today, I will always prefer and long for much older ones. No doubt about that.

Interestingly, most of these older songs are still accessible only if you search for them. They are truly food for the soul, and they bring you right into the embrace of what one must consider worth reflecting upon in this life. The days of old music was when people truly understood the importance of this noble craft beyond the need to over stimulate and disorient the senses. The concerns were not always about how good the music sound albeit the content which in my opinion was a major contribution to the overall beauty of the musical piece.

I still listen to some music from my childhood especially when I'm bored with today's music, it feels nice going back to them, it's refreshing and nostalgic. I've watched those musicians come and grow and I also listen to music way past my childhood.
