New Year's Eve is more important than Christmas

New Year's Eve is more important than Christmas
Christmas is the most important day for Christians, it heralds Jesus Christ's birth into the world but it's not nearly as popular as you think. Did you know that only 2 Billion out of 7 Billion People on our planet celebrate it. On the other hand, New Year's Eve is celebrated by different countries on different dates China alone celebrates its new year on February and the festival lasts up to 15 days. And that alone accounts to about 1.4 Billion People. 95 percent of the world's population celebrates New Year Eve. This makes it more popular and important.

Agree

guess so

I have never really thought about it but I guess there is some sense to that in that not all people celebrate Christmas and some might not even be able to relate to it at all even if they don't celebrate it themselves, but theoretically all people will be able to celebrate or at least relate to new year's eve because it marks a new chapter in the history of the world.

Maybe

Maybe not more important , but I feel more optimistic during the new years eve and the first days of the new year. You get to ponder on what will happen during the new Year and party with your friends. Christmas is more religious kind of thing.

NYE!

I don't really pay attention to Christmas as much as I used to when I was young. However, I pay attention to Christmas sale because why not take advantage of THAT. Anyway, New Year's eve is more important for me because it gives me this "start something new" and "let go of the past" feeling.

Personally

Personally though, I haven't been able to celebrate Christmas that much and it doesn't appeal to me like maybe it had before. However, it is a precious wherein families gather and bond.

To me, I always look forward to the new year when it is close. This will allow me to finally feel I could truly start over again. To let go of past mistakes and hurts and be a different person. It is as if I am getting ready for the race.

Christmas all the way!

I believe Christmas is more important to us than new year. We celebrate Christmas because it's our Christ's birthday and that is very essential to us. There, we can share our love by giving gifts and spending time with our family so Christmas for me is more important than New Year.

Christmas is more important to me

For me and my family, Christmas is the bigger and more important celebration. It's when we all get together, it's a time where we express our thankfulness for all our blessings of the year and so forth.

These years New Year's Eve is just like any other day to us. I'm not young enough anymore to go out and party!

Christmas

If you think that New Year is more important than Christmas and your a Christian. There must be something wrong with the way you understand the meaning of Christmas.

No

I think, Christmas is far more important than New Year. Yes, we celebrate these events every year, but everything of these wouldn't be possible without Him.

Christmas is more important for Christians

Christmas is the most awaited and most celebrated time of the year. Here in the Philippines we start celebrating Christmas as early as September. When the -ber months approaches, you can already hear some Christmas songs everywhere and see some houses starting to put their Christmas decors. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. For Christians, it's the most important celebration of all. On the other hand, having 95% of world population celebrating New Year doesn't make this a more important holiday over the other. It depends on person's perspective.

Christmas is important

Christmas is more important because we are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. We are to be happy and praise him for he is the person who gave us life and if it weren't for him we wouldn't have been saved.

Christmas

Just because New Year's is celebrated by more people doesn't make it more important. To Christians and Catholics, celebrating and remembering the birth of Jesus is far more important. Not only does it have religious significance but it is also something that reminds us of peace, hope, and love.

You can have your cake and eat it too!

They are both important for me. Whether you are a religious person or not you can find importance and significance with both holidays. Christmas is the season of giving and reminding us of the importance of family while New Year's can be about reflection and bettering ourselves for our future.

Chirstmas!

I disagree with the thought of new year's eve is more important than Christmas, yes both are enjoyable events and you can joy with your loved one's family and friends, but for me, the only reason why Christmas is more important than New year's eve is simply chairmats has a deeper meaning it symbolizes the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Christmas

Christmas is the most important celebration because we are celebrating the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ. For Christians like me, this celebration is the grandest of all since it marks the day that Jesus came into this world. This celebration is very important because we are showing God that we rejoice the birth of his son, Jesus.

As for me, I don't think this way. I believe that Christmas is a lot more important because it is the birth of Christ. No one is better than the day that our Savior was born. I love Christmas because of the spirit of giving and love on this month.

For me the two is a special occassion. Christmas Celebration for me is reminding of God's existence here in earth and live like a normal people while the New years Celebration is for the family to be together in whole year round maybe not in physical way but a connection of every heart that make us together

Well, New year's something that we should always look forward for. But, Christmas is the birthday of the one who saved us from our sins. I would say Christmas is way up higher than New year.

Both are entirely different events and hold specific importance in our lives. Christmas marks the birth of Jesus Christ and is celebrated all over the world. New Year's eve is an amazing event and has its own craze in the world. You cannot pick one event here.

I think it depends on the culture of the country or the people in comparing Christmas and New Year’s Eve. For us, it is always Christmas that is on top of the importance because we are a Catholic country and I was born and raised in a Catholic home. But I know some people who have a different religion that they value New Year’s Eve more than Christmas because the new year is the symbol of new hopes and new beginnings.

We, as a family, celebrates and have more plans on New's years eve rather than during Christmas. It is our tradition that we do New years eve extravagant than Christmas. However, it doesn't mean that in our hearts celebrating Christmas is less important than celebrating New year's eve. For us, Christmas and New Year's Eve are different and should celebrate it based on what it symbolized and the right reason why we celebrate these seasons.

Well, both of them are important for me. Don't get me wrong but what's important is that we celebrate them happily with our family. They are both times for us to spend some time with our family and have fun with them.

I'm not sure about this.I think it depends on you as an individual. I think that Christmas is important. I think that life is hard and everyone deserves that feel good feeling at least once a year. ON the other hand new years eve is important to recharge yourself and allow yourself a chance to start a fresh. I think that to succeed we need to give ourselves a chance to reset, and start over and let go of our mistakes.

Important wise, i don't think New Year is on the upper hand compared to Christmas. The number of people celebrating a certain occasion doesn't define the importance of it. It doesn't really matter whether there's only one person celebrating it as long as there is a value in doing so. If you would compare the historical background of each, you would know clearly which is more important. compared to the other.
