North Korea to bomb Guam

North Korea to bomb Guam
In the news yesterday is the threat of North Korean leader Kim Jung Un to bomb Guam in retaliation of the US sanctions. This young but maniacal president seems to be mad that he is threatening the lives of innocent people. And what if that happens? One retired US military officer said that it will only take 15 minutes for the US to flatten the entire North Korea. It’s like a threat but it’s more believable than the threat of the North Korean president. So where do we stand now? It is sad to note that Guamanians are now in panic and almost all are planning to leave Guam temporarily. And this is all because of an irresponsible statement from a government leader.

Its true- One retired US military officer said that it will only take 15 minutes for the US to flatten the entire North Korea. I think North Korea had been doing mistake by threatening the USA. Truly its the matter of 15 minutes for US Military.

Thanks Centurion

That would be a great tragedy for all mankind. I ask God to enlighten the hearts of these people and show them that violence will not solve any problem, on the contrary, it will only bring disgrace to our Earth.

When I heard about the news, all I thought was the media manipulated it, but I was wrong, they bring the threat to the next level. The Threat maybe was showing the North korea's military might to the USA, as they believed to match the US power. Political speaking, it's too much complicated, as North korea completely diversify their cultural and social within the country.

The Japanese government was waiting to the missile attack, in case North korea would proceed their plan. I would estimate that missile itself will be explode within Japanese territorial sea. But the capability of North korea should not be underestimate, as it would escalate and trigger World War III.

I remember North Korea has made threats like this in the past but right now countries would not back down seeing as how advanced the technology of US Military is. What I am thinking is that Kim Jong-Un has just been bluffing in order to give other countries the impression that they are strong or that he has gone out of his mind to go against the world when in reality, no other country will be willing to comply to North Korea's demands. This has to end soon and I am hoping that no destruction would happen.

Kim is crazy and unpredictable. I would say there is a 50/50 chance he will attack Guam or some place else. I feel sorry for the populace of North Korea that are starving and or in work camps because of this maniacal leader. I wish there was a way to take out Kim without hurting the people of North Korea.

The only way N. Korea would bomb Guam is if they feel cornered and without an exit. Kim Jong-Un is crazy, yes, but he knows that attacking the US is basically suicide, because he is aware the US will attack back, and probably crush it.

The only way they'd attack Guam, or South Korea, or any other land, would be if the Supreme Leader feels cornered enough, believes the US is going to take him away from power, and feels he has nothing left to lose. That's when things have the potential to get really, really dangerous.

Two words: regime change. I can't believe that no one has taken this guy out yet. While this really isn't a simple thing, I'd really rather see it in this case than see his people suffer (any more than they already have/are).

People like to blame Trump, but this has been a problem for a long time.

You are right about everyone blaming Trump. I don't understand why people don't pay attention and see that this guy has always been a lunatic. He was a lunatic before Trump was in office just like his father before him.

I don't think that he will bomb Guam. He knows that if he does bomb Guam, the US will retaliate and it will be devastating. He is threatening but that is all, he is crazy but I don't think that he is that stupid.

Your right. Me too i don't believe he would really do that. He's really insane if he actually do that. Many countries not just u.s. will get angry and do as much as they can to fight.

It's really sad to hear these kind of things happening in our country specially to the countries who were just silent and living peacefully (imo).

Can you please share us the source of this? I haven't watched the news. I wanted to search it but I'd rather read the one which you would share.

Like most issues related to NK, it's most likely a bluff. What people don't seem to understand is that everyone knows that NK stands no chance against the USA. The NK knows it too so what do you do when you're dealt a crappy hand? You either fold or bluff. There is little chance of folding IRL so what's left is a bluff.

First, I just want to make a point... people who live in and are local to Guam are not called "Guamanians" as even the news has been touting them as. They refer to themselves as Chamorro. I was first taught this by a Chamorro friend in the Navy and then I also lived in Guam for two years and was able to get to know some of the locals. Secondly, I feel like right now there are two world leaders bullying each other on the playground and making big threats without actually thinking about the people who would be directly involved or injured in the situation. I heard on an NPR report this morning that the situation was a little like, North Korea threatens to bomb Guam, Trump says, "yeah, go ahead and try and then see what we do to you." Ummm.... instead of instigating someone who is threatening to bomb one of our territories and all our citizens there, shouldn't we be more civil and handle it a bit more politically? Just my two thoughts.

It's a real concern, and the problem is that Guam was and always has been a target. What needs to happen is someone in the White House to stop Trump making off the cuff statements that can inflame the situation. This is how wars begin, negotiations are preferable, but are drawn out. It also requires a neutral party to oversee them, and right now that will be difficult to find one.

It is like a playground, a serious one where people can get harmed and die. In North Korea there is little one can do as it is a communist regime, but the USA isn't and there is something that can be done. Congress have powers, but as they are in recess, it's not ideal. While one cannot remove the North Korean regime, one can remove the Commander in Chief in the USA if they are failing to act in the best interests of the country. Provoking and threatening war is not in the best interests of Americans.

North Korea is too volatile. They love making threats and assert dominance. Their leaders are pretty much unpredictable and may end up triggering wars. I hope that their weapons can be neutralized to ensure safety for the rest of the world.

North Korea is a result of mistake committed by the United States. During the world war two, Russia liberated some parts of Korea and the allied forces liberated remain parts. The korean land where Russians landed becamse a communist country and the land where allied forces landed becamse South Korea. The leader of the American army wanted to push into the land occupied by the Russians, however, the Us government stopped him. Now north Korean is pain oin a*s

The issue is not North Korea, the issue is China. China will step in and help NK in the event of war, and that could cause a problem for the world. China is a real powerhouse with the ability to fight, Although China claims to remain neutral, but I don't know if that's going to be the case.

I think north korea is being targeted by US and other allies. They are making them take some actions. And they are likley to cause war. So it may not be north korea. And more likely this could be one reason why the bombs such as that could be the cases there. And that being said, I think war can be prevented if the americans don't try to wage a war on the world.

I agree with you, this president may be a maniac to make such statements when President Trump already said the U.S. will attack the North Korea as an answer. I don't think that the North Korean leader Kim Jung Un will bomb the Guam, he will not risk a war with U.S. I guess that the North Korea leader wants to get attention from the other countries leaders, that is all!

The guy is very funny. What did he want to gain from this? Is it power or what? I don't think he will do it. But if it occurs and US start war with the North Korea, I'm afraid there will be 3rd world war because many Asia countries and countries like Russian, Venezuela that doesn't like the US will form allies with North Korea to fight.

Kim is all talk. I don't think that he would push through with his threats. I think the North Korean dictator is afraid of the United States. It think he knows that China won't be giving them much help come war time.

The North Korean leader is arrogant and bashful but he's also a scared kitty. He knows that if he makes a mistake, the United States will be there to take them out. He doesn't want his reign to end. He doesn't want his happy days to be over. He still wants to be in top of the world in his very own little country. That's why I believe that he won't do anything that would force the US to lift a finger on them.

bombing Guam is a clear declaration of war against US, NorKor know that they will not just fight US but also the entire world, surely NATO will give NorKor another ban and they will suffer for that if they survive US attack.

North korea should not try to bomb that small country called Guam. If their leader disobeys and goes ahead then the entire North korean peoples lives will be in total danger, because the USA has the weapons and resources to destroy any country that is too stubborn and as arrogant just like this North korean leader is.

I find it quite appalling that the president of North Korea would be having such an idea of bombing an area where human lives are just to show the US how powerful his missiles and atomic department are. I mean I do not see any justifiable reason innocent lives should be target in such an evil act of trying to flex muscles with the American government and I think this is the time the United nations should really come into the equation and speak against such evil with sanctions imposed on them for even having such a thought.

I don't like to choose between US and North Korea if that happen North Korea bombing Guam and US bombing North Korea there will be no winner only many innocent people will be suffering and children dying nations dying and destroying the place. so i hope that this childish North Korean President will realize that life is important this is not a game.

North Korea knows that and is unlikely to decide that suicide is the way to go (although they are about the most likely nation to consider it). So relax.North Korea has only made a credible threat against the United States. I have no doubt that if the U.S Government feels as though a nuclear launch that strikes Guam will occur evacuation will immediately begin, as well as a U.S led invasion by NATO Forces unhindered by China, assuming Trump or anyone in the United States is able to cite evidence that a nuclear strike is imminent

I can certainly agree that North Korea is really stepping out of the line when it comes to their relationship with other countries of the world, and especially with their scuffle with the United States of America, they are really daring to meet their early grave. I just hope that it doesn't get to that because it's not only that Korean president Kim Jung Un that would suffer the consequences of American attack, the poor masses the are innocent would fall victim of the actions of their crazy leader Kim Jung Un.

America definitely have the both the military and neuclar power to waste and blow away North Korea out of oblivion and off the world map, I just pray that the actions of Kim Jung Un doesn't come to bite his people because I have a feeling that he had already made plans for his own safety should it be an open war between the two countries.

We all know that North Korea has a capability to bomb Guam but the question is, are they ready for the consequences? They knew that if they do that, they're gonna face the world and they're not gonna like it. There are lots of despicable leaders who are now dead because of their foolishness and if Kim Jong-un makes a wrong move, then he gave the world leaders a reason to execute him. The world leaders are just waiting for a reason to kick his ass but for now, they can't.

Yes but even then the consequences could be dire. I don't think a full-blown nuclear exchange could happen but maybe a few nukes here and there and this should be enough to give us a lifetime of headaches

Have you heard of the bomb scare in Hawaii early this year? There was a false alarm sent out by the security force of the state via sms. People were alerted that an inbound missile from North Korea will hit Hawaii. That surely caused panic. Fortunately, it was a false alarm, a wrong message committed by a security officer of the state. And if that happened to be true then for sure so many will have died.
