Phone ringing out

Phone ringing out
We all have ways we like to be alerted when we have calls and messages. This is why everyone uses his or her favorite songs as ringing tone for calls and some for message. Once you receive any calls or messages, the song used for ring tone will alert you immediately to respond to your caller or message.

Pros
  • Immediate alert once you have a call.or message
  • Customize the ringtone to each favorite person calling
  • Listening to your favorite songs on every calls received.

Cons
  • Might be a distraction in some places.
  • Get confused when there is another user with your exact same ring tone.

Ringing

Personally, I choose having a ringtone. Sometimes vibration can go unnoticed, while when you have a ringtone you'll get instantly alerted. However, when you are in a meeting, church or in a place that needs you to be quiet I turned my ringtone off then switch it to vibration.

Ringing phone for me

This two sides has both its advantages and disadvantages. They can be utilized in different occasions. As for me, the phone ringing out is what is most advantageous. I always put my phone in full blast ringing tone so that i can be alerted to any urgent calls. If ever I need it silent, it will only be for an hour or more. I always turn it back in full.

I Heart Ringtones

I love personalizing the way your phone rings. The cool thing is that you can pick almost any great song and also you can set different rings for different callers AND you can set your phone to vibrate if you need it to be quiet. Ringtones are a terrific witty invention!

Ringtone

I prefer the ringtones because that way I can get alerted. Vibration is also good. But the thing is that ringtones have their own set of the annoyances too. So depending on your choice. Some of the time ringtone can be good option there as well.

More Practical

I think it's more practical to have the sound on as much as possible because at the same time you could also have it vibrate as well anyway. If it's just on vibrate there is a chance you will miss calls especially if you have the phone away from you, but if it's also ringing at the same time then it does not matter if you left the phone on the table or if it's in your pocket, you will surely know when someone is calling.

I prefer a ringtone

I enjoy having a ringtone on my phone and if it becomes an issue in certain places like a library, movie theater, event, etc... then just turn your phone off. Or switch it over to vibrate if that option is available to you.

Love my ring tone always

I would always love to hear my phone ring tone out any time I have any call because I make use of my favorite music as my ring tone. Currently, I'm using 24 Theme song as my ring tone. It's such a great song and anyone who watched 24 series would love the music.

Ringtone

I would always set my alert profiles whenever I have a new phone. And I would always choose the ringing option. I would assign different ringtones for family, friends, clients and a distinct one for unknown callers. I also use the vibrate mode, mostly when I'm in a meeting or when I'm watching a movie.

This is actually helpful

I prefer this one because as I've said in the title it is quite helpful because you won't going to miss any calls but yes it has a disadvantage though that it might become a distraction to other people but you can do it depending on your situation. If you're home then you can set your device into high volume so you will be aware enough to get a notification of someone calling for you.

There is nothing more heart stoping situation when you forgot where you placed your phone and it is on silent mode, you would immediately start to panic out of your mind. You could argue that when in a meeting or in a class it is better to put in on silent or vibrate, yes that is valid but it is still important to notice your phone when it is ringing. Better

In my opinion, having a 'ringing tone for calls, messages and notifications' is better than just having a vibration. This is because when your phone has a ringing tone, it will help you know some matters to attend abruptly. You definitely won't miss anything!

Easy to notice

I prefer my phone to be ringing out for any notification. That may depends on the situation, but if don't have to put my phone in vibration mode, I will definitely set to be in sound mode. It is easier to find and notice rather than when it is in vibration mode.

Better for Yourself

It's better to be it an inconvenience for other people than it is to the people who want to connect with you urgently. What if that call you missed because you turned your phone to vibrate is your family's last dying message to you before you pass away? Wouldn't it just break your heart if you've known that you could have heard and answered it right away?

Vibrating is annoying

I personally choose ringtones especially if the ringtone is my favorite song. Vibration really annoys me a lot especially if its not my phone who is vibrating. But either vibrating or ringing I really love it when a loved one is calling.

Ringtones alert the user better.

Companies are investing a lot in the audio department of their phones. Gone are the days when the speaker of the phone had below average sound. The speakers of mobiles phones now days are top notch and produce adequate noise even in crowded areas.

The problem with vibration alert is that it can go unnoticed if the body is in too much motion. Vibration is an after thought now days, so they remain almost the same as they were decade ago. Vibration is what it is, to be used when and only when you are not able to use your ringtone due to a meeting or any other reason.

Ringing phone always

I like my phone ringing.,Rarely do i keep it on silent mode or vibrating mode.if the phone is in your pocket then the vibrating mode can be useful but most of the times , my phone is either on my desk, when at work and when I am at my home it can be anywhere. Therefore, the best option for me is always to keep it ringing otherwise I am bound to miss many of my calls. If there is any important meeting , only then I will keep it silent , otherwise even when I sleep I keep the ringer on .

Ring Out

Phone ring out is more better than phone vibration because ring out calls to attention more better than vibration, vibration doe not make any sound therefore it will not draw any attention of the individual that his phone is ringing.

Individual may miss an important call because of the phone is on vibration and may just see the miss call.

Managing my Priorities

In my opinion, specifying my ringtones for my family, friends or business clients/ colleagues set my priorities about whether to answer a call or not. Having my phone on vibrate gives me less variation, thus I won't really be able to tell if the call I am getting is as important as emergency, especially if am busy doing a project or out having a good time.

Notice me

If a phone rings out, it could notify me easily and I could manipulate what sound that could come out. This could prevent me from missing important messages or calls. Unlike vibration where the phone could fall from a table since it is constantly moving.

Ringing out

I honestly prefer my phone silenced but ringing out is better for than vibrating. I don’t know but it just annoys me when my phone vibrates. Ringing out also helps when you don’t know where you put your phone just simply missed called you phone and hear out where it is ringing. You also cannot miss important calls even your phone is not beside you cause you’re gonna hear it ringing.

Less distraction, Less exposure

I prefer my phone on vibration because sometimes phone ringing will only annoy others and often you'll get scolded or all of them will turn a look into you and most fondly is when in class and your phone rings in the middle of the class and in times when the teacher is asking question and at a sudden your lovely phone rings that trigger the teacher to choose you to answer her question. So I learn very well to turn the phone on silent or keep it vibrated rather than ringing.

Ringing phone

I choose ringing because that's really the point of actually having a cell phone. To be available even when you would not be otherwise. It's much easier to notice and you will not miss something important. You can use vibration if you absolutely need to not be waken up for some reason , but otherwise feeling always connected to the people around you is a nice feeling. (For me at least)

I vote for phone ringout

Phone ringing out and Phone Vibration have their own advantages and disadvantages. But more workable is phone ringing out. Most of the people will prefer phone ringing out with vibration. For example if you are in theater or in heavy traffic you may not listen to ringing but you can sense the vibration such that it is advantage to know the call is coming. More Noticeable

I usually don't notice when I receive notifications, texts, messages, and calls from anyone. My friends and families tend to think that I am ignoring them. With that said, I prefer to have my phone ringing out load than a mere phone vibration especially when the message or call is important.

This is an obvious choice for me, I'm not that super alert person so I tend to miss out on vibrations. I even missed out and did not feel and earthquake ones, that's how bad I am yes. And sometimes buzzing phone scares me, so I would end up screaming or looking scared ones I feel my phone vibrate.

It needs to be heard

The worst feeling you could get is missing or misplacing your phone and it's on vibrate. I never leave my phone on vibrate cause the speaker is so low, that even if it's on its maximum volume you can't even hear it very well. I enjoy putting classy or funky songs on my phone so that when I am with my friends I get to show it off to them. Putting your phone ringing out is a must so that you can hear if a emergency was to happen or if your Mom has been calling you for 14 times already.

Phone Vibration
There are those who prefer being unnoticed especially with when they receive calls and messages. Such people normally put their phones on vibration mode or just a beep. There people are regarded as the secretive type and probably something to hide about who's calling and when they are being called.

Pros
  • An ideal solution for places you don't want a ringing phone such as church, wedding, funeral, etc.

Cons
  • Might miss important calls when the phone is not close by.
  • Kills phone battery quickly.
  • Anyone can hear the phone buzz if on coffee table (not very private)

Quieter and less distracting

Depending on your line of work, it can be completely inappropriate to have your phone ringing out loud. Vibrate allows you to know someone is calling (in the case of an emergency!) but isn’t disruptive to your colleagues.

Silent Mode

I do not like hearing ringing sounds, whether it's from my phone or others. For me, it is a little distracting especially if you are in a public place and your phone keeps on making consecutive sounds over and over.

I always put my phone on vibrate mode, as I don't want to annoy others. Hoping everyone around me all does the same. :)

Less Noise

Though there's a vibrating noise or buzz, it's nothing compared to ringtones, especially if you're on your work. Anyway, I check on my phone from time to time, so putting ringtones is not such an important matter to me. Also, I don't want to disturb my students when we are having a class. We implemented a rule of turning our phones to silent and never use them during class hours. Following the rules is a form respecting my students to, respect begets respect.

The baby is sleeping!

These days cell phones are always within an arm's length. If it's further than that, I left it behind on purpose. Just because we can be reached 24/7 doesn't mean that we should. The vibrate ring option is quite loud enough when the phone is close to let me know someone is calling. I can always call back if I miss a call.

Most importantly, vibrate won't wake the baby!

Phone vibration is okay if you are in places that 'silence' is highly observed like in the office, meetings and rooms. However, if notification is at stake, having ringing tones is a lot better. You will get all the needed tasks to look over immediately and definitely you won't be missing anything. I think, this depends in the scenario which best applies to you.
Posted by NesMarcos on 10-13-2018

True, the scenario counts a lot. You cannot expect to have your phone ringing when you are in a serious meeting and all the attention is diverted to you. It portrays you as a non-reliable individual which is why it is always wise to have it on the vibration mode as you will still get the notification.

I think my answer will depend on the situation. If I am in a meeting or seminar, I prefer my phone to be in vibration mode so nobody will be disturbed if someone calls me. But if I am at home our outside with my friends, my phone needs to have a sound so I will know if someone calls or texts me.

Yup for me it is also depend on the situation. When you are in a meeting or in a very important conversation such as your with boss or some very important person giving a speech, it is awful if your phone rings right and interrupts the person. In such situation, putting your phone in vibration mode is the right thing to do. But if you are expecting a very important call, it's best to use a not so loud ring tone that will not call the attention of other people. You could also turn on the vibration to make sure that you will not miss the call especially if you are put your ring volume in low level.

You sound like me. Whether I am using ringing mode, vibration mode or both depends on time and situation. Generally speaking, when I am at home I use ringing mode. Since I always have my phone at my side, I use a low ringing volume. However, while at outdoors I use ringing and vibration, possibly in the highest volume.

i think it would be wiser to do the opposite since on the outdoors is when you are least likely to notice the phone vibrating with all the other distractions and a ringtone would be best. However, when you have your phone at home and on a surface like a table you will easily hear its vibration especially with the effect it will have on the table.

It depends. I always put my phone to silent mode when my kids were still babies especially when they are sleeping, as they wake up easily at night and I didn't want any sounds to wake them up. Hence I always missed many calls as I always forgot to turn on the ring tone. Now that my kids are a bit older, I try to turn on the ring tone when they are not sleeping (usually only during night time and nap time). There are still some time when we need to turn off the ring tone and put the phone in silent mode, such as when we are attending a meeting, watching movie in cinema, etc. I think it's still good not to disturb others with the noise when required.

My phone is usually in my bag or somewhere else so I normally have to turn the volume on to hear incoming calls or SMS. However, there are occasions when I have to turn it off such as when attending services or meetings. In such cases, if I'm expecting an important call, I turn the vibrator on. If not, I usually just leave it in silent mode and check the phone from time to time. I'm not really fixated on my phone so this is not a big issue for me but there are places where you just have to turn it off or place it in silent mode.

I mostly prefer my phone on vibration because sometimes I fondly forget to turn it off and I got easily scold by someone when I am on church or by my teachers because it cause distraction especially when the class is very quiet because the teacher is asking question and waiting for someone who will volunter and that ringtone would only trigger her to choose you to answer what she has been asking. So I decided to keep it in silent or vibrated when I receive calls and text. Less exposure, less problem.

I do believe I don't need to choose between one of them because I actually use both on different situations and places. For example, I turn on my ringtone if I'm at home because I can't easily notice my notifications because I might be sleeping or doing other things. However, if I'm at school or at the church, I turn on vibration because I might get scolded by my professor or get the center of attraction, and I hate that so I make sure to avoid it to happen.

I use both the choices in different situations. Most of the time I used the ringtone because I am not most of the time with my phone and I can't hear it if I will use the vibrating one. I used phone vibration when it needs to, doing tests, while on church etc. Because it would be rude to ruin the silent atmosphere that can distract people. Besides, silencing your phone for a few hours is not that bad for the welfare of others.

A bit of both because if I am expecting a call I will put up the volume, otherwise if I am out it's either on silent or vibrate. Vibrate I only use if the phone is near me and I am expecting a call otherwise it can be irritating. I think vibrate can be more annoying that a ringtone as with a ringtone you can be sure of it, whereas a vibrate sound you stop and wonder if it is a vibrate tone or not!

Definitely vibration: I dont need my phone to audibly ring to hear it, a vibration is more than enough to alert me. The amount that a ringtone can disturb those around you isnt worth it unless you are waiting on a life or death call.

Personally, I use both and it varies where I'm at. I use vibration only when I am in the offie meeting or in a movie house or some place that is intended to be quiet or requires us to be. Whenever I am outside, I use both and the volume is just right for me to hear it because vibration has sound as well. Its better to have both if one is really waiting for a call or a reply aspa.

I always have my phone on ringing mode. I think I only used vibration the time I was expecting an important call and I was inside the church. But I usually turn my phone off whenever I hear mass.

I prefer ringing out of my phone. For me to hear and answer the calls or read text messages, its better to put the phone in ringing out mode. Its hard to hear sometimes if its in vibration mode.

As per the tradition of the phone, it is always the ringing for me because I am not used to the vibration. I remember when the cell phone was not yet very popular that I had set the alert to vibrate. It came to pass that I was waiting for the ringing and it didn’t occur to me that I had calls already but I was not able to answer because I didn’t notice the vibration. That is the reason why I had never tried the vibration alert anymore.

The issue here is that I rarely keep my phone in my pocket. I only really ever do so while traveling to a destination. Once I reach the destination, I typically put my phone on some sort of surface. If it’s only on vibrate mode, then odds are I’m not going to hear it if I’ve gone away from it. By default, I need to keep the ringer on for this reason. That being said, I also hate the ringer option to some degree because even if I keep it at the lowest setting, it always scares me out of my pants. I’m a really jumpy person.
