Phone ringing out

Phone ringing out
We all have ways we like to be alerted when we have calls and messages. This is why everyone uses his or her favorite songs as ringing tone for calls and some for message. Once you receive any calls or messages, the song used for ring tone will alert you immediately to respond to your caller or message.

  • Immediate alert once you have a call.or message
  • Customize the ringtone to each favorite person calling
  • Listening to your favorite songs on every calls received.

  • Might be a distraction in some places.
  • Get confused when there is another user with your exact same ring tone.

Personally, I choose having a ringtone. Sometimes vibration can go unnoticed, while when you have a ringtone you'll get instantly alerted. However, when you are in a meeting, church or in a place that needs you to be quiet I turned my ringtone off then switch it to vibration.

Ringing phone for me

This two sides has both its advantages and disadvantages. They can be utilized in different occasions. As for me, the phone ringing out is what is most advantageous. I always put my phone in full blast ringing tone so that i can be alerted to any urgent calls. If ever I need it silent, it will only be for an hour or more. I always turn it back in full.

I Heart Ringtones

I love personalizing the way your phone rings. The cool thing is that you can pick almost any great song and also you can set different rings for different callers AND you can set your phone to vibrate if you need it to be quiet. Ringtones are a terrific witty invention!
Posted by cmoneyspinner on 10-15-2018

I prefer the ringtones because that way I can get alerted. Vibration is also good. But the thing is that ringtones have their own set of the annoyances too. So depending on your choice. Some of the time ringtone can be good option there as well.

More Practical

I think it's more practical to have the sound on as much as possible because at the same time you could also have it vibrate as well anyway. If it's just on vibrate there is a chance you will miss calls especially if you have the phone away from you, but if it's also ringing at the same time then it does not matter if you left the phone on the table or if it's in your pocket, you will surely know when someone is calling.

I prefer a ringtone

I enjoy having a ringtone on my phone and if it becomes an issue in certain places like a library, movie theater, event, etc... then just turn your phone off. Or switch it over to vibrate if that option is available to you.

Love my ring tone always

I would always love to hear my phone ring tone out any time I have any call because I make use of my favorite music as my ring tone. Currently, I'm using 24 Theme song as my ring tone. It's such a great song and anyone who watched 24 series would love the music.
Posted by Martinsx on 10-14-2018

I would always set my alert profiles whenever I have a new phone. And I would always choose the ringing option. I would assign different ringtones for family, friends, clients and a distinct one for unknown callers. I also use the vibrate mode, mostly when I'm in a meeting or when I'm watching a movie.
Posted by Kakashi2020 on 10-14-2018

This is actually helpful

I prefer this one because as I've said in the title it is quite helpful because you won't going to miss any calls but yes it has a disadvantage though that it might become a distraction to other people but you can do it depending on your situation. If you're home then you can set your device into high volume so you will be aware enough to get a notification of someone calling for you.
Posted by mitan143 on 10-14-2018

There is nothing more heart stoping situation when you forgot where you placed your phone and it is on silent mode, you would immediately start to panic out of your mind. You could argue that when in a meeting or in a class it is better to put in on silent or vibrate, yes that is valid but it is still important to notice your phone when it is ringing. The call would be anything bt hat if t

In my opinion, having a 'ringing tone for calls, messages and notifications' is better than just having a vibration. This is because when your phone has a ringing tone, it will help you know some matters to attend abruptly. You definitely won't miss anything!
Posted by NesMarcos on 10-13-2018

Phone ringing

I love to use my own prefered ringing tone it makes my phone lively. Another thing is that most of the time I dont noticed that someone is calling me when I was using vibrating only so I better switch to ringing alarm again.
Posted by mark86 on 10-16-2018

Easy to notice

I prefer my phone to be ringing out for any notification. That may depends on the situation, but if don't have to put my phone in vibration mode, I will definitely set to be in sound mode. It is easier to find and notice rather than when it is in vibration mode.
Posted by ajahcuizon on 10-14-2018

Better for Yourself

It's better to be it an inconvenience for other people than it is to the people who want to connect with you urgently. What if that call you missed because you turned your phone to vibrate is your family's last dying message to you before you pass away? Wouldn't it just break your heart if you've known that you could have heard and answered it right away?

Phone ring out

I vote for phone ring out. I can easily pick up my phone and answer who is calling me through phone ring out. I could not answer my phone when its under vibration.
Posted by jeffreyjose48 on 10-15-2018

Vibrating is annoying

I personally choose ringtones especially if the ringtone is my favorite song. Vibration really annoys me a lot especially if its not my phone who is vibrating. But either vibrating or ringing I really love it when a loved one is calling.

Ringtones alert the user better.

Companies are investing a lot in the audio department of their phones. Gone are the days when the speaker of the phone had below average sound. The speakers of mobiles phones now days are top notch and produce adequate noise even in crowded areas.

The problem with vibration alert is that it can go unnoticed if the body is in too much motion. Vibration is an after thought now days, so they remain almost the same as they were decade ago. Vibration is what it is, to be used when and only when you are not able to use your ringtone due to a meeting or any other reason.

Ringing phone always

I like my phone ringing.,Rarely do i keep it on silent mode or vibrating mode.if the phone is in your pocket then the vibrating mode can be useful but most of the times , my phone is either on my desk, when at work and when I am at my home it can be anywhere. Therefore, the best option for me is always to keep it ringing otherwise I am bound to miss many of my calls. If there is any important meeting , only then I will keep it silent , otherwise even when I sleep I keep the ringer on .

Ring Out

Phone ring out is more better than phone vibration because ring out calls to attention more better than vibration, vibration doe not make any sound therefore it will not draw any attention of the individual that his phone is ringing.

Individual may miss an important call because of the phone is on vibration and may just see the miss call.

Posted by ElectorAlexander on 10-15-2018

Managing my Priorities

In my opinion, specifying my ringtones for my family, friends or business clients/ colleagues set my priorities about whether to answer a call or not. Having my phone on vibrate gives me less variation, thus I won't really be able to tell if the call I am getting is as important as emergency, especially if am busy doing a project or out having a good time.
Posted by emiaj55 on 10-15-2018

Notice me

If a phone rings out, it could notify me easily and I could manipulate what sound that could come out. This could prevent me from missing important messages or calls. Unlike vibration where the phone could fall from a table since it is constantly moving.
Posted by DISTEFANO115 on 10-21-2018

Ringing out

I honestly prefer my phone silenced but ringing out is better for than vibrating. I don’t know but it just annoys me when my phone vibrates. Ringing out also helps when you don’t know where you put your phone just simply missed called you phone and hear out where it is ringing. You also cannot miss important calls even your phone is not beside you cause you’re gonna hear it ringing.
Posted by thejoyrevolution on 10-17-2018

Less distraction, Less exposure

I prefer my phone on vibration because sometimes phone ringing will only annoy others and often you'll get scolded or all of them will turn a look into you and most fondly is when in class and your phone rings in the middle of the class and in times when the teacher is asking question and at a sudden your lovely phone rings that trigger the teacher to choose you to answer her question. So I learn very well to turn the phone on silent or keep it vibrated rather than ringing.
Posted by Lhea932 on 10-20-2018

Ringing phone

I choose ringing because that's really the point of actually having a cell phone. To be available even when you would not be otherwise. It's much easier to notice and you will not miss something important. You can use vibration if you absolutely need to not be waken up for some reason , but otherwise feeling always connected to the people around you is a nice feeling. (For me at least)
Posted by GeorgeDr on 10-26-2018

need to hear it

I don't usually put my phone in my pocket or in my bag so I wouldn't know if it's vibrating. I put it on the table and usually forgets it. I'll just remember it when it rings so I vote for phone ringing out.
Posted by iambeth on 11-03-2018

I vote for phone ringout

Phone ringing out and Phone Vibration have their own advantages and disadvantages. But more workable is phone ringing out. Most of the people will prefer phone ringing out with vibration. For example if you are in theater or in heavy traffic you may not listen to ringing but you can sense the vibration such that it is advantage to know the call is coming. I always prefer Phone ringing out with vibration.
Posted by csk81 on 11-06-2018

More Noticeable

I usually don't notice when I receive notifications, texts, messages, and calls from anyone. My friends and families tend to think that I am ignoring them. With that said, I prefer to have my phone ringing out load than a mere phone vibration especially when the message or call is important.
Posted by hstinscdln on 10-31-2018

This is an obvious choice for me, I'm not that super alert person so I tend to miss out on vibrations. I even missed out and did not feel and earthquake ones, that's how bad I am yes. And sometimes buzzing phone scares me, so I would end up screaming or looking scared ones I feel my phone vibrate.
Posted by mftmadam on 10-30-2018

Ring out

I vote for phone ringing out. I can't hear sometimes the calls with just vibrations. I really need to hear the ring for me to answer the call.
Posted by menchuuy58 on 11-03-2018

It needs to be heard

The worst feeling you could get is missing or misplacing your phone and it's on vibrate. I never leave my phone on vibrate cause the speaker is so low, that even if it's on its maximum volume you can't even hear it very well. I enjoy putting classy or funky songs on my phone so that when I am with my friends I get to show it off to them. Putting your phone ringing out is a must so that you can hear if a emergency was to happen or if your Mom has been calling you for 14 times already.
Posted by YoloBoy on 11-08-2018

Ringing phone

I always keep my mobile on ringing. I missed out on my important calls because I had my phone on silent/vibration. It is okay when in meetings or in important discussions to keep your phone in silent or vibration but in general it is better to leave it ringing.
Posted by kaushikangara on 11-29-2018

Ring ring ring

Ringing out for me. I can't stand vibrations it startles when someone is calling and usually it takes some time before I realize someone's calling me. Also, I'm using my favorite song as my ringtone!

Ring out

I choose phone ring out. I can hear easily that someone is calling me on my phone. I use this on my phone today.

Phone Vibration

Phone Vibration
There are those who prefer being unnoticed especially with when they receive calls and messages. Such people normally put their phones on vibration mode or just a beep. There people are regarded as the secretive type and probably something to hide about who's calling and when they are being called.

  • An ideal solution for places you don't want a ringing phone such as church, wedding, funeral, etc.

  • Might miss important calls when the phone is not close by.
  • Kills phone battery quickly.
  • Anyone can hear the phone buzz if on coffee table (not very private)

For a long time, I haven't put any ringing volume on my phone. I always keep it on silent mode. That's because I don't want to create a ruckus when somebody calls or texts. A vibrating alert more than does enough to notify me if I have a call or a text. No need to inform everybody in the room that somebody is trying to contact me.
Posted by limberg on 10-14-2018

Office duties.

When in the office, we are always expected to put our phones in vibration or silent mood. What I noticed is that even our boss always do that and this is one reason that I against the behavior of some Co workers who always want the boss reaction.
Posted by Barida on 10-13-2018

Vibration is cool. No Disturbance.

I don't know but for me this is the best way to remind me if there is a notification. It looks formal for me and never will I disturb other people with that.
Posted by MomoStarr16 on 10-14-2018

No noise

I always forget to switch my phone to silent or vibrate mode when I leave the house. Leaving it to phone vibration will make it easier for me to know if there is a notification or a message even if I am walking outside or I am busy. During meetings or classes, it feels assuring that your phone wouldn't ring because you always leave it in vibrate mode.
Posted by EfficientNinja on 10-14-2018

Quieter and less distracting

Depending on your line of work, it can be completely inappropriate to have your phone ringing out loud. Vibrate allows you to know someone is calling (in the case of an emergency!) but isn’t disruptive to your colleagues.
Posted by amelia88 on 10-14-2018

Silent Mode

I do not like hearing ringing sounds, whether it's from my phone or others. For me, it is a little distracting especially if you are in a public place and your phone keeps on making consecutive sounds over and over.

I always put my phone on vibrate mode, as I don't want to annoy others. Hoping everyone around me all does the same. :)

Posted by NerdIndeed on 10-14-2018

Less Noise

Though there's a vibrating noise or buzz, it's nothing compared to ringtones, especially if you're on your work. Anyway, I check on my phone from time to time, so putting ringtones is not such an important matter to me. Also, I don't want to disturb my students when we are having a class. We implemented a rule of turning our phones to silent and never use them during class hours. Following the rules is a form respecting my students to, respect begets respect.

The baby is sleeping!

These days cell phones are always within an arm's length. If it's further than that, I left it behind on purpose. Just because we can be reached 24/7 doesn't mean that we should. The vibrate ring option is quite loud enough when the phone is close to let me know someone is calling. I can always call back if I miss a call.

Most importantly, vibrate won't wake the baby!

Posted by maf082015 on 10-15-2018

Mine is always on vibrate

I have a small child so my phone is always on vibrate. With my luck, as soon as I get them to take a nap it'd ring and wake them up!
Posted by sam12013 on 10-15-2018

Phone Vibration

As for me, I prefer phone vibration than phone ringtones. I always keep my phone beside me so phone vibration works well for me. It is just right and enough for me to get notified without causing noise to the people around me. Also, I don't like ringtones as it may cause disturbance.
Posted by Einalem on 11-03-2018

Less attention

I always keep my phone in vibration mode. Irrespective of where I am, I hate the attention that comes with the phone ringing. I am used to vibration and I can rarely miss a call unless I am not ready to answer the call. Phone ringing was good before phones were popular.
Posted by Focusedwriter10 on 11-03-2018

Avoids Disturbance

I prefer my phone to have a vibration than a ringtone since our office is really quiet. I don't want to distract my colleagues whenever I get calls, messages, or social media notifications. Also, during church activities, I always see to it that my phone is on silent mode.
Posted by clarisseblogs on 11-11-2018

I am the type that enjoys a quiet environment and I wouldn't want anyone to destroy it. Putting my phone in vibrate mode will help me stay in that safe place. Having a ringtone on my phone will instead make me jump, get other's attention and cause a disturbance in whatever room or vehicle I am in. I always lay the phone close to the body in order to be alerted by its vibration.
Posted by Yumyan on 01-06-2019

I always leave my phone on ringing tone so that I do not miss any call, which could be very important. I like it ringing out for all calls.Yes as you rightly stated it will help to alert me to all calls and make me get to hear one of my favourite songs intermittently.
Posted by lovely on 10-13-2018
I hope you are not the kind who waits for the phone to almost ring out before you can actually pick it. this is a habit that is common with people who put their favorite songs as ringtones who love listening to the ringtone over and over again.
Posted by Martin on 10-14-2018
I don't really delay calls though I just let it ring a while o be sure it isn't a flash and in the process get a dose of my music.I don't see anything wrong with that. The most important is that there will be no delay in picking he calls unlike when in vibration mode.
Posted by lovely on 10-14-2018
I do that sometimes especially when I know who is calling and when it does not seem to be an important call. Sometimes my housemates would be glaring at me already because they hear my phone ringing so many times.
Posted by iambeth on 11-03-2018
I alternate between the ringing and vibration, sometimes I use both. When I am outdoors, in the crowd, I use both vibration and ringing. When I am in meeting or in a place where I cannot attend phone calls, I use vibration mode. Rest of the time my phone rings when ever someone calls.
Posted by vinaya on 10-14-2018
I don't just like the vibration mode,I observed that it really drains my battery and sometimes in a noisy environment one can hardly hears the sound so I prefer the ringing out and I will pick at once o avoid battery drainage.
Posted by lovely on 10-14-2018
When I was new to the cell phone that was the time before the smart phone came around, I would silence my phone at night and change it to vibration instead of the ringtone. It is not good to be awakened by a call or a text so I would set it to vibration. But one time I forgot to set it to the ringtone that I was wondering why I got no text for the whole day. That’s when I discovered that setting to vibration has its downside.
Posted by Corzhens on 12-11-2018
Phone vibration is okay if you are in places that 'silence' is highly observed like in the office, meetings and rooms. However, if notification is at stake, having ringing tones is a lot better. You will get all the needed tasks to look over immediately and definitely you won't be missing anything. I think, this depends in the scenario which best applies to you.
Posted by NesMarcos on 10-13-2018
True, the scenario counts a lot. You cannot expect to have your phone ringing when you are in a serious meeting and all the attention is diverted to you. It portrays you as a non-reliable individual which is why it is always wise to have it on the vibration mode as you will still get the notification.
Posted by Martin on 10-14-2018
Agreed. Though to make sure that you get alerted from your phone notifications, it is best to have the vibration on and have your phone with you at all times, whether the sound is on or not.
Posted by NerdIndeed on 10-14-2018
I also like my phone to have a ringtone which is the best alert method according to myself as I can hear it from even a far distance as compared to the vibration. From time to time I set the phone to have vibration in combination with the ringtone such that I can be more receptive.
Posted by Martin on 10-14-2018
It is the best way to be alarm when your phone is away from you. But in our case everyone will always wanted to have their phone attach near to them. So for me Vibrating is okay. But of course we have different types.
Posted by MomoStarr16 on 10-16-2018
I think my answer will depend on the situation. If I am in a meeting or seminar, I prefer my phone to be in vibration mode so nobody will be disturbed if someone calls me. But if I am at home our outside with my friends, my phone needs to have a sound so I will know if someone calls or texts me.
Posted by superlicca on 10-14-2018
Yup for me it is also depend on the situation. When you are in a meeting or in a very important conversation such as your with boss or some very important person giving a speech, it is awful if your phone rings right and interrupts the person. In such situation, putting your phone in vibration mode is the right thing to do. But if you are expecting a very important call, it's best to use a not so loud ring tone that will not call the attention of other people. You could also turn on the vibration to make sure that you will not miss the call especially if you are put your ring volume in low level.
Posted by vhinz on 10-14-2018
You sound like me. Whether I am using ringing mode, vibration mode or both depends on time and situation. Generally speaking, when I am at home I use ringing mode. Since I always have my phone at my side, I use a low ringing volume. However, while at outdoors I use ringing and vibration, possibly in the highest volume.
Posted by vinaya on 10-14-2018
When going out I preferably turn my phone into vibration but at home I put a ringtone as well as vibration because the call might be important. It depends on the situation, Of course if I am going to mass or going to a meeting then I will really make my phone vibrate or silent but if it's just in malls, I turned my phone in a ringtone mode.
Posted by nekonieden on 10-14-2018
i think it would be wiser to do the opposite since on the outdoors is when you are least likely to notice the phone vibrating with all the other distractions and a ringtone would be best. However, when you have your phone at home and on a surface like a table you will easily hear its vibration especially with the effect it will have on the table.
Posted by Martin on 10-19-2018
Even if my phone is ringing out, vibration is still on. Just making sure that I will notice it. There are times that I still cannot hear the phone ringing especially when I am in a noisy place so I turn the vibration on as well. When I am in the church, meeting, seminars or the like, I usually turn it on silent mode with vibration on. All other occasion, my phone ringer and vibration is on.
Posted by mdayrit on 10-14-2018
Both has benefits for me. In places that so crowded but still want to know if some called or text message you, my fav ring tone is on. If I'm in the cinema, or at home, kids sleeping or family member sleeps in the house, I make sure its on vibrate mode. I don't want to disturb any one specially if someone needs to rest just like I don't want to be disturb when resting and taking my nap. So both are useful for me.
Posted by romy_ter on 10-15-2018
I agree with you. I am glad that people can manage their settings and change the vibration or ringing options in some cases, because we will never be in one place and situation forever.
Posted by theresajane on 11-09-2018
Phone ringing can be heard from far but sometimes in a meeting then vibration works better. I prefer both ringing and vibration. In this way I won't miss any call.
Posted by stbrians on 10-15-2018
I've always used the ringing alert because it's easier to know if someone's calling or messaging me. The vibration function is also convenient and has its uses, I always set my phone alert into vibration mode whenever I don't want to be disturb or when I'm in a meeting and other important functions. But in ordinary days, I always set my phone in ringing mode to easily hear if someone's calling or texting.
Posted by Kakashi2020 on 10-15-2018
I do that as well. I change the tone depending on what Korean song I am into at that time. I usually download and use instrumental versions and my housemates like guessing he title of the song.
Posted by iambeth on 11-03-2018
I choose for phone ring out. I cannot easily answer my phone call when its on vibration. I could really answer my phone when I hear it ringing.
Posted by jeffreyjose48 on 10-15-2018
It is really depends on what people prefer. Some people love the ringing phones like you and some want the silent type that only vibrates like me. Both are good and doing well.
Posted by MomoStarr16 on 10-15-2018
There are some some individuals who are really concerned about the negative effects that are associated with vibration on the body and I think this could be what you are referring to.

Phone vibration is definitely a good choice for me. Lesser the noise of the phone and it will avoid making other people irritated by the sound of it. I always make sure whenever I am not in my place to turn it on vibration to give respect to other. We will never know when we are talking to people who hated noisy phones. To make sure vibration is what I prefer.
Posted by MomoStarr16 on 10-15-2018
I think vibration is a good option if you are in meeting. And don't want to pick the phone. But you want to understand if you are getting the call. So on that basis, you can see the phone ringing out is much better choice in that option. So phone vibration can be one thing that will remain with people most of the time.
Posted by overcast on 10-16-2018
I think it all depends to the environment you are currently into. Like if you are in a meeting or business conference, you have to switch your phone into vibrate mode so that it will not bother your focus in the meeting. But when you are in the house or somewhere except in the office, you can able to use ring mode.
Posted by mark86 on 10-16-2018
I always choose ringing as my profile option because I love catchy ringtones and I tend to change my assigned ringtones monthly, depending on the season or if there's a hit song that I like. I only use the vibrate mode whenever I don't want to be disturbed or distracted.
Posted by Kakashi2020 on 10-16-2018
Phone ringing and vibration is a very technical debate but i will always favor the side that i feel is preferable which is phone ring, it a good thing for set a phone in phone ring especially if you set it in your own personalized way so that you can design it in a way it can suit you.

i also prefer mixing the both together so that when the phone rings it will vibrate as well so that when am in a noisy area the vibration can notify me than the phone s ringing.
Posted by ElectorAlexander on 10-16-2018
It depends. I always put my phone to silent mode when my kids were still babies especially when they are sleeping, as they wake up easily at night and I didn't want any sounds to wake them up. Hence I always missed many calls as I always forgot to turn on the ring tone. Now that my kids are a bit older, I try to turn on the ring tone when they are not sleeping (usually only during night time and nap time). There are still some time when we need to turn off the ring tone and put the phone in silent mode, such as when we are attending a meeting, watching movie in cinema, etc. I think it's still good not to disturb others with the noise when required.
Posted by kaka135 on 10-16-2018
My phone is usually in my bag or somewhere else so I normally have to turn the volume on to hear incoming calls or SMS. However, there are occasions when I have to turn it off such as when attending services or meetings. In such cases, if I'm expecting an important call, I turn the vibrator on. If not, I usually just leave it in silent mode and check the phone from time to time. I'm not really fixated on my phone so this is not a big issue for me but there are places where you just have to turn it off or place it in silent mode.
Posted by chatbox on 10-16-2018
I realized that it depends on what type of person you are. But nowadays we love to let our phone stick near to us. We are like going to die when we are not holding our phones. And in the other hand having a tone of alarm on our phone is somewhat usefel if we are that type that leave our phone away for us. Both are really useful.
Posted by MomoStarr16 on 10-16-2018
I will also choose a phone on vibration, especially when you are on class or in a meeting, the vibration mode is a must so that you won't distract some people around you when someone notifies you.
Posted by jayjaydimson on 10-17-2018
Whether it is a ringtone or vibration, I'm really thankful that options like these exist. It is because these helped me in different situations. Vibration, when I am having a class or in a meeting. Ringtone, when I am busy at home with the household chores and other paper works from school.
Posted by theresajane on 10-18-2018
I really prefer the phone that is on vibration, because the sounds of every notification really annoy my ears, so I used to mute or put my phone on vibration.
Posted by jayjaydimson on 10-18-2018
I used to have an alert tone when it was the NOKIA phone days. But now I prefer to have a vibration on rather than having a tone. Today phones have speakers that really can annoy someone unlike the nokia phones that their tone are not that loud. I choose vibration too with the same reason you got there.

I mostly prefer my phone on vibration because sometimes I fondly forget to turn it off and I got easily scold by someone when I am on church or by my teachers because it cause distraction especially when the class is very quiet because the teacher is asking question and waiting for someone who will volunter and that ringtone would only trigger her to choose you to answer what she has been asking. So I decided to keep it in silent or vibrated when I receive calls and text. Less exposure, less problem.

I do believe I don't need to choose between one of them because I actually use both on different situations and places. For example, I turn on my ringtone if I'm at home because I can't easily notice my notifications because I might be sleeping or doing other things. However, if I'm at school or at the church, I turn on vibration because I might get scolded by my professor or get the center of attraction, and I hate that so I make sure to avoid it to happen.

I use both the choices in different situations. Most of the time I used the ringtone because I am not most of the time with my phone and I can't hear it if I will use the vibrating one. I used phone vibration when it needs to, doing tests, while on church etc. Because it would be rude to ruin the silent atmosphere that can distract people. Besides, silencing your phone for a few hours is not that bad for the welfare of others.

A bit of both because if I am expecting a call I will put up the volume, otherwise if I am out it's either on silent or vibrate. Vibrate I only use if the phone is near me and I am expecting a call otherwise it can be irritating. I think vibrate can be more annoying that a ringtone as with a ringtone you can be sure of it, whereas a vibrate sound you stop and wonder if it is a vibrate tone or not!

Definitely vibration: I dont need my phone to audibly ring to hear it, a vibration is more than enough to alert me. The amount that a ringtone can disturb those around you isnt worth it unless you are waiting on a life or death call.

Personally, I use both and it varies where I'm at. I use vibration only when I am in the offie meeting or in a movie house or some place that is intended to be quiet or requires us to be. Whenever I am outside, I use both and the volume is just right for me to hear it because vibration has sound as well. Its better to have both if one is really waiting for a call or a reply aspa.

I always have my phone on ringing mode. I think I only used vibration the time I was expecting an important call and I was inside the church. But I usually turn my phone off whenever I hear mass.

I prefer ringing out of my phone. For me to hear and answer the calls or read text messages, its better to put the phone in ringing out mode. Its hard to hear sometimes if its in vibration mode.

As per the tradition of the phone, it is always the ringing for me because I am not used to the vibration. I remember when the cell phone was not yet very popular that I had set the alert to vibrate. It came to pass that I was waiting for the ringing and it didn’t occur to me that I had calls already but I was not able to answer because I didn’t notice the vibration. That is the reason why I had never tried the vibration alert anymore.

The issue here is that I rarely keep my phone in my pocket. I only really ever do so while traveling to a destination. Once I reach the destination, I typically put my phone on some sort of surface. If it’s only on vibrate mode, then odds are I’m not going to hear it if I’ve gone away from it. By default, I need to keep the ringer on for this reason. That being said, I also hate the ringer option to some degree because even if I keep it at the lowest setting, it always scares me out of my pants. I’m a really jumpy person.

Phone ringing out vs. phone vibration: I'd prefer Phone ringing out. When somene calls you and your doing something, when you hear your phone ringing automatically you will stop what youre doing and reach out the phone. Phone vibration is also good when you are at meeting/conference to avoid being disturbed.

I prefer phone vibration over phone ringing. I find it scandalous if your phone rings in a public place or even at home. It's like you are announcing to everyone that you have a call which is kind of disturbing to others. The only scene that I see phone ringing is applicable is for those main phones like a hot line phone or a home phone. Other than that, the other phones should be in vibrate mode.

Is "neither" an option? I can't stand the noise of a phone ringing, and I also dislike the sound of a phone vibrating and the feel of it in my pocket. Since I always have the phone nearby, I keep it in Silent mode and see the screen light up every time a notification arrives.

I choose phone ring out. It is easier to know that somebody is calling me with it. I can hear it even with a distance.
