Original

Honestly, although I tend to hear more about Dreamworks and tend to notice their trailers more, the movie's quality really isn't as good as Pixar. But I have to give credit to their humor as well. However, what is the purpose of watching a movie with humor without a good story. Pixar does that. Pixar creates CREATIVE and ORIGINAL movies. Like think about it -- Monsters Inc., Wall-e, Up.. etc. The execution is so well done.

Great entertainment.

The Pixar is one of the interesting stories that was aired that I would like to watch again. It was one that was filled with a whole lot of better things and this is something that makes it to look nice and okay unlike the rest of them.

Pixar Pixar

Pixar I think is better than Dreamworks. Though I watched several Dreamworks' movies still Pixar makes me nostalgic whenever I watch their movies now that I am an adult. Sequels are what I love about Pixar. Whenever I loved one of their movies, it is always good to know that such movie has a sequel, and does not have a cliffhanger.

Vote for Pixar!

They are both excellent but it is just that I love the stories that was launched by the Pixar. I can also see how many reward they have got because of their movies.

Exactly. That was the first movie that came to mind when I saw the poll. Just like you, I haven't found a person that hasn't like Toy Story. Like, is there even a chance someone doesn't like it?

So many iconic movies

Pixar movies are big favorites in our household. There are just so many iconic movies and they are loved by both the kids and kids at heart in our family! The Incredibles in particular is a movie series my kids adore.

Pixar

I tend to see more movies of Pixar than Dreamworks. I know dreamworks might have more movies than Pixar, but it seems like Pixar movies gets more attention. I like their movies because they are cute and has a lot of lessons to learn. Especially, the movie Up. I appreciate how they creatively deliver the moral lesson to their viewers.

I'm a big fan of Steve Jobs

Aside from the fact that it's a well-known animation studio, I like the fact that it was once headed by one of my favorite CEOs of all-time - Steve Jobs. For me, that is reason enough, and it will not be where it is today without the man.

Hard to choose

It is really hard to choose as both have released great animated movies. But, I would go with Pixar as it houses my most favorite animated movies like Monsters Inc. and Monsters University. Also the recently well-applauded Coco, they are so good and I have to say that they give people lots of life lessons.

Pixar

I love both of them. I love their movies but I would go for Pixar for their movies made more impact in my life than movies of Dreamworks do. However, both of them are my favorites.

It's hard to pick a side!

This is a difficult question! I've grown up watching movies made by both Pixar and Dreamworks, and they're all good. Their movies formed a huge chunk of my childhood. But for this time, I'll side with Pixar, because they produced more iconic movies.

Unique

I love the Pixar movies. Every single one of them is so great and enjoyable to watch. All of the movies got me really attached and wanted me to feel the story themselves. One thing I like about each Pixar movie is that it shows you a great value in life. Whether it is yourself, family or friends or even the environment. Those cute little cameos you see from other Pixar movies is also fun and enjoyable to watch. Can't wait for more movies to come!

Pixar

I think Dreamworks made more animated movies than Pixar and they all have great titles. But because of Coco and Brave I'm choosing Pixar. Those two movies really hit the right spot.

Toy story alone would be reason enough

I mean, come on guys! Toy Story alone would a big enough reason. Then you remember that this studio also produced Wall-E, Monsters Inc. , UP, Coco and many more. Aside from the beautiful animations, they also bring wonderful stories to life and often gives their audience the feels. Pixar all the way!

Toy story indeed. Up until now that I am 24 I still watched it with my nephews. The story never gets dull. I do agree that Pixar produces stories that are full of lesson and heartwarming.

Toy story is one of the greatest movie they ever produce. Then there is Wall-E and Monster INC and even now I still watched these movies.

Story !!!

DreamWorks and Pixar both have their advantages and disadvantages. However, it is all a matter in how their capture their audiences. DreamWorks, for me, gets me more excited when I watch their trailers. I am not sure why but when I do watch it, it usually bores me. Unlike Pixar. Pixar's movies are very creative and high quality that would really leave the audience crying like Wall-e and Up. Their movies not only appeal to children but to adults as well. The story line deals with much more than it shows. Sometimes Death is a topic I see. DreamsWorks need to work on that, although as said by someone else, let's also give credit to their humor

Dreamworks

Dreamworks
Dreamworks was founded in 1995. They are known as the "House that Shrek Built". The Shrek movie is the award-winning film that propelled Dreamworks to the top. Kung Fu Panda, Megamind, The Boss Baby, Madagascar are some of Dreamworks movies. Dreamworks have more movies than Pixar.

Pros
  • Has produced more movies

Cons
  • Some of their movies have no appeal like The Bee Movie.

Dreamworks is better

You may find that some of the cartoons from the dreamsworks to be better. They have better animation. And they have better design. And also the stories are good. And they kind of make you remember for years. So I'd go with this animation studio for sure.

I like Shrek

Shrek is none other like fairy tales and it really leaves a print. The animations were good and morale is really relatable. The following movies like how to train your dragon and Kung Fu panda were exceptionally, family-oriented movies that I so love.

Personally, that's what I like about nowadays movies. They tend to leave a positive message on audience, so that way families can think about how to pass values and lessons to their kids. You have fun, but also get some teaching too.

Dreamworks Studion

Dreamworks have given some unforgettable movies like Kung Fu Panda. Their animation and graphics are the best in the world. Although Pixar too are a well known film studio, Dreamworks has implemented animation better.

DreamWorks

It's not easy picking between two things that are really good. Not especially when they all have their high and low moments. In this case however, I can easily go for DreamWorks, and this is from a personal perspective. Some of my best animated feature titles were made by DreamWorks. I enjoy The Boss Baby every time I watch it. It's a well told story with lots of laughing moments therein. DreamWorks has also made a few titles that I enjoy watching more than once.

Dreamworks

Though I love Toy Story during my younger days, I still go for Dreamworks because they have very good movies produced like The Prince of Egypt, Joseph king of dreams etc. Also, don't forget Shrek, Penguins, How to Train your dragon. Wow! These indeed are quality movies with good stories that you can learn from. Dreamworks produce movies that does not just entertain you but also teach something worthwhile.

Yes, for sure animation is way too important, but story plot is the heart and head of the movie. So, if I have to choose between animation and story, for sure Dreamworks put all the effort to the main emotion.

100% YES!!!!!

Don't get me wrong I love both of this of this studios but if I would choose between this two amazing animation studio I will go with Dreamworks. Dreamworks and Pixar have been rivals for as long as I can remember, Both have excellent 3D animation, movies, and characters. The deciding factor why I choose DreamWorks over Pixar is that Pixar has a bad reputation of making a lot of sequels like toy story and cars which are a long running-sequels this is not bad but you will start to wonder if they are running out of ideas or they can't produce newly written stories. On the other hand, DreamWork had more movies than Pixar, if I remember correctly Dreamworks had made 34 movies and it is quite impressive they are always creating new Stories and character that masses can enjoy. Both of them are great!!!

Pixar dazzles with each new idea that they create. Antz, The Incredibles, Up. They create their own animated stories, each inside a recognizable brand: the Pixar label becomes an element of vital attention for any movie buff. The company's projects, like Wall-E, are proof that sometimes a glance is enough to convey emotions, even if it's in animated mode.

Pixar used to be good but the disney seems to have messed them up. And they seem to be making mediocre pictures. And thing is that some of the time such movies bore us to death. I guess the 2 giants in animation are fairly even when it comes to the quality of their work. But with the popularity I guess Pixar is more popular because it has been there for a longer time and there are also some Filipinos working there. Depending on the marketing of the company is the number of clients that they have. Maybe Dreamworks has more movies made because they have good marketing people.
