Some like it hot. Where do your taste buds take you?
We all have our own choices when it comes to taste. To elaborate – there are the hot foods, cold, bitter, sweet, sour, salty, crunchy, the works. Strange that we all have our preferences. I like a combination of sweet and sour but not sour on its own. Sour things do not agree with me. One of my classmates ate a geen mango raw with a bit of salt. Strange are the tastes of some is all I can say. Everyone is talking of bitter chocolate. In fact I was told it is a sophisticated taste but honestly I do not like bitter chocolate but any other chocolate I simply cannot resist. I even like the chocolate spread that I have at breakfast time

I like Chinese food specially their sweet corn and chicken or crab I make it myself and the older it is the better it tastes, specially with those green chilies in vinegar Their sweet and sour pork is irresistible and so also their Lychee dessert. I wonder at those who like hot foods. I have seen them eating plain green chilies or even looking for food that is cooked in masala that has loads of chili both red and green.

My sweet tooth will take me where there is a touch of sugar be it ice creams, juices, desserts and red wine. I have now acquired a taste for peanut butter the crunchy variety. I have always liked peanuts be they roasted or boiled and this butter will stay with me for years. Combining it with jam or any other spread gives it a great taste an ideal add on at breakfast time. And finally no matter what tastes I have acquired I can never give up boiled rice which I grew up eating it. Fish curry and boiled rice is our staple diet.

I don't have a particular favorite taste for any of them, I like all of the tastes equally, maybe some more than others, but I appreciate a nice meal that consists of a lot of tastes. A lot of people don't like spicy food and I don 't blame them, because their organism doesn't do well with it, however I love spicy food, not only because it's tasty, but also because it's healthy. Sweets on the other hand, not as healthy, but I love them too.

I like sweet and hot so my favorite food is Thai food. I find the food without spice very very bland and lack in flavour. I think sweet and hot make a good combination. I also like Chinese ans Korean food. I like sour in fruit and candies. I do not like dark or bitter chocolate but i do like milk chocolate on ocassion.

When the Japanese food appeared in restaurants here, I did not mind it. To be honest, I don’t like Japanese food until I went to Japan where I had tasted the ramen and dumpling. It was great. And even if I don’t eat raw fish in the sushi and sashimi, I enjoy their noodles and other dishes like the small pork barbecue and their pork chop. Just last year, I began to like Korean food during our trip to Seoul, Korea.

I love it! Indian food is my favorite with Mexican coming in second. I have always been a fan of pepper and spicy food really does it for me. I love to taste a good and spicy pepper but that's still delightful to my mouth

I like most foods but there is a list of things I won't eat. Hot Tamales, Spinach, Beets, Chitlins, and a few other things. I don't eat extremely hot or spicy foods either.

Well, hot foods might upset your stomach and spicy food is not good for your heart, however, I am with hot and spicy food. I am omnivorous, which means I eat plants as well as meat. However, meat is my favorite. I like chicken fish and lamb. I want my meat products to be hot and spicy.

I'm not averse to tasting a new dish every now and then and this is one of the reasons why it's great to travel to other countries and even to remote places in my country. I grew up with my grandparents who both liked to cook dishes with chili pepper and season their dips with chili. I always enjoy fish cooked in coconut milk with chili pepper and eat them wrapped in snow cabbage. Some may find kimchi repugnant, but it's one of the more appetizing side dish I've had. I love sweets too but not the chocolate-type sweet. My biggest temptation is leche flan which I can never get tired of even if I do eat it every day.

My favorite taste is sweet. I can eat a lot of chocolates, desserts, pastries, cookies, and everything sweet and moist. I consider myself those kind of people that stop eating a lunch, in order to make some room for the dessert. The only exception to it, is my obsession with salt and vinegar chips. Seriously this mix of salty and acid tastes delicious to me. Sometimes I eat them so much, that my mouth suffers. But anyway, I stay with sweet, is my weak side.

I like salty and savory food. I'm not really a fan of sweets and I never really liked desserts in the past although recently my taste has been evolving and I'm beginning to appreciate desserts more and more. i'm still very picky with the types of dessert dishes though. I also was once very much against spicy and hot food but nowadays I'm more okay with it though I still don't seek it out all that much.

I think some of the time hot food can be really good. But the taste may vary from one recipe to another. Also cultural dishes are lot different. So depending on how you choose to consume. I'd say people have to check out on which type of dish they prefer on that. I have not chosen to make use of the odd dishes though. I make use of the right set of the dishes which are good for the health.

I myself actually have a very strong desire for spicy foods. However this desire has never really been favorable for me. While I might have the taste buds of an Indian when it comes to spicy curry, or that of a red blooded Texan when it comes to hot chili, I have the digestive system of the palest of Eastern Europeans. I can take the heat going in, but once it starts working its way through my system, it's all downhill from there. I'll be laid out for the next eight hours, writhing in pain.

I am not picky but I don't really like too spicy food because it upsets my stomach so I avoid it. My favorite type is the salty and savory - one of my all-time favorite cuisine is the Chinese. The way that they prepare their food is just absolutely amazing. I am a huge fan of their meat because even if it's something like pork or beef they manage to make it tender! And their fried rice with eggs and vegetables, yum. I don't eat too many sugary things.

I no longer really have a "sweet tooth", so I can eliminate that here, but I do love hot and spicy foods! I love Thai food especially. I love different textures and temperatures, and I think that one of my favorite dishes is pho. I could eat pho every day and most likely never get tired of it. I love a spicy bowl of broth with my choice of protein and other garnishes and vegetables with big thick noodles soaking up all of the flavors while I slurp away at the giant bowl and get my comfort food fix and have my belly and my soul warmed!

I don't really have a particular taste, to be honest with you. I am quite picky about certain food but I like quite a range of different foods. I love spicy food but my favourite would probably have to be sweet food. I just love chocolate and I would say I have quite a big sweet tooth lol. Cuisine wise, I would my favourite would have to be Chinese. I just love the way they make their beef.

I like foods which are tasty. I always try to limit the amount of salty and sweet food that I have although I like eating them. I love eating crispy fried chicken, noodles, fried rice, pizza and smoked salmon.

I like to eat what supposed to be hot really hot, and what is supposed to be taken cold frozen, no compromises.

I like a taste provided it what my tongue need at that moment. The same food I might like hot now might turn out to be what I will like cold later so one can just predict with taste bud but my tongue just need everything delicious.

I love salty and sweet food. Pizza, fast-food, fried chicken , fish, noodles and pasta belonged to the salty categories due to heavy seasoning. Sweet pastries and buns are my favorite breakfast. I don't eat chocolate not candies because of my loose teeth. However lately, I am keen in soups, noodles or veggies, use my own seasoning.

My late father and my husband are both from The Bahamas. My late mother cooked a combined cuisine of Southern soul food and Bahamian food. I loved my mom's food but I don't know how I'm still alive and not dead from heart disease and diabetes. According to the statistics, I should be dead or dealing with these illnesses most African Americans suffer from because of the way she cooked. Of course, when I started attending university and lived on campus, my diet changed because I started the food in the cafeteria. The cafeteria cooks did not cook like my mom! Perhaps that saved me.

I enjoy Bahamian food and my favorite side dish is pigeon peas and rice. Also, I love conch. Any dish made with conch. Stewed conch. Cracked conch. Conch salad. Conch fritters.

My other choice for favorite foods is Chinese. Although I'm told the cuisine I'm used to is American-Chinese food, not authentic Chinese food. Whatever! I'd like an order of house spicy chicken to go. Thank you! LOL.

I eat desserts, hot or cold, if they are offered to me. But I don't make it the highlight of my meal. As for drinks, I take hot or cold. No matter.

I like sweets. Chocolate is my favorite food. For me, chocolate is life. I love it when it's crunchy like truffles, cookies and cream, or the ones with wafer or crispies inside. Milk chocolate is the one I like most. I has a balanced taste of milk and dark chocolate. Aside from chocolate bars, I also love chocolate flavor in cakes, cookies, and other pastries. I also like some salty foods like pizza, pasta, quesadillas, and Japanese foods. I am not very picky with foods. I actually love eating. I just have my own favorite. Chocolates really stand out to me.

I like sweets too, to a degree, but over the years, my sweet tooth has diminished, and I have gravitated more towards spicy and savory dishes. I rarely eat desert, and sometimes I think that my family thinks I am weird because of this fact. Every now and then I will indulge in something chocolatey, which is why I am referring to your post here, because, when it comes to sweets, I think that that is my main weakness. I love chocolate shakes and ice creams, for example, but just not as much as I once did, I guess.

Like most people, I also have my sweet tooth especially for ice cream, cakes and pastries, not much for chocolates though. When it comes to dishes, my taste is moderate whether it is our native food or international cuisine. Although I don’t like hot foods in general, there are some spicy dishes that appeal to me like the lamb biryani in the Mediterranean restaurant in Hongkong. And not to forget, I am a picky eater at times so I really choose what I eat if I can.

I believe most people have sweet-tooth,from statistics online the number of people having sweet tooth for stuff outweigh those with other form of taste bus, infact, those with other taste buds looks as if they have a weird taste buds considering the number of people with sweet-tooth and I believe in that statistics because taking example from my family alone, one can totally agree.

I love hot sauce and hot food. There is nothing like a chilli that has some hot peppers (I.E Ghost Peppers). Or a hot sauce like Dave's Insanity sauce. The thing I have to worry about is I gave myself gut root and it got painful to eat any kind of hot food. And I am talking about doubled over pain! It's been 10+ years since that happened and I don't eat fire stuff like that anymore. But it still holds a special place in my heart and I admire people who can eat hot food like that.

I like food like rice and beans to be hot especially during the cold season and also hot tea during cold season. During hot weather i prefer warm or cold food.

What I want in my food is hot and very tasty. It doesn't matter whether it's sweet, sour, salty or bitter for as long as it's hot. Having a hot food is what makes my appetite boost and makes me eat as many as I can.
Posted by ColdFlameChris on 12-28-2017
I like combining sweet and spicy flavors in my food. I have a good appetite and almost eat everything! But sweets and spices are definitely my favorites.
Posted by cess_08 on 03-07-2018
I like to mix different tastes like hot and spicy, sweet, sour, salty. But I really like Hot and Spicy food the most. I really can't eat well if I don't it any Hot Sauce, Tabasco or Red Chillies on it. Also I like the combination of Sweet and Salty and Barbecue flavored foods.
