Sports analysts

Sports analysts are my favorites in this debate because I love almost all kinds of sports, especially football. Now that the championship started by a few days, I watch it almost every night. I like the sports analysts because they offer a perfect view of mistakes or successes that took place in a football game. Who can analyze better a match than a sports analyst?

More Salary

I have found that the people who cover the live sports get paid more. And there seems to be more demand for them. In such case I'd say news reporter sounds like boring job. And people would instead go for the sports analyst job. I wonder how much it pays from one channel to another.

Sports Analysts

I am voting for sports analysts because I love sports. I think it's a fantastic opportunity to do things which you have passion for. I would enjoy meeting sports legends and discuss on the current happenings in the sporting scene. Traveling is not an issue for me since I enjoy learning and experiencing other cultures.Besides that, it will not seem like the routine job as there are many sporting events to be covered throughout the year.

Very admirable

I admire both professions in their own ways because they're not an easy job but I still think that being a good news presenter is harder than being a sports analyst.

Imagine being a news presenter and you daily have to read out various sad, depressing news... murders, political chaos, shootings, ... now imagine how much professionalism it takes for the person to keep it calm and under control. They can never properly express their own opinion or emotions.

They have to read out/present the news and make it engaging, ''flirt'' with the camera, listen to what the production is telling them through the earpieces and all combine it within seconds. It's a very difficult job that doesn't get enough recognition.

Professional

Overall i find that news presenters have a much more professional stance towards news reporting. Sports commentera tend to add emotion to their job and relate things in a subjective way while news presenters are mostly impartial.

News

Since I don't care about sport at all, this is a no-brainer for me. But even if i cared a little about sports, news presenter are just more important! Do you think it's better to know what team will win a match, or what is happening in the world we live on? It's important to keep yourself informed, and news presenter are doing a good job to helping us achieving that!

Without a doubt.

News presenters have to remain calm and collected when announcing the worst, most despairing news. With a neutral disposition, as well.

They boast of amazing verbal skills, and have the benefit of constantly learning and changing their worldviews.

It is certainly a job that allows you to open your mind to the realities of the world, just as you communicate them to others.

Sportscasting is Boring.

Sports analysts are the worst variety of talking heads. Never have so many people taken so long to say nothing! There's just not that much nuance to the topic. The guy threw the ball, the other guy either caught it or missed. That's basically the end of it. Everything they do is essentially one giant commercial that doesn't even have the common decency to acknowledge that it is, in fact, advertisement.

Great work!

News presenters are journalists that I can see in a more serious way (I'm not dismantling the work of sports analysts... just to be clear, ok? but I think everything is very superficial), I think their work is more complex and they always can adds something useful in the people's lives.

Salute for news presenter.

I am always watching news in our television or listening to the radio. News presenters are important role in our society. Without them, we will not be updated on what's happening in our world. I admire them and I want to be one someday. They help us know what we don't know. And they always give their best in presenting the news to us so that we are prepared for a day.

unbiased

News presenter sticks to the news and facts whilst sport analyst tends to get emotional and biased when giving their opinions about the sports they are in.

Our bedroom tv is often tuned in to the sports channels because my husband loves sports shows. He says that trainers of mixed martial arts fighters or basketball coaches can learn from sports analysts. There is a saying here that someone in the sidelines is always better than the player because that someone can see the whole picture of what's happening in the court or arena. If given a choice, I would just be a news presenter which is an easier job than a sports analyst.

I think a news presenter does have an easier job that a sports analyst because all they are really doing most of the time is reading off a teleprompter. A sports presenter or analyst has to have statistics in front of them to get the right player, and know a bit about their history. There is a lot more information that needs to be synthesized and presented to the viewers.

In my country, the vast majority of sports analysts are really boring. I prefer the professionalism and ethics of a good newscaster.

News presenter are just the reader, they read what is before them. They don't have theri own views. On the other hand, sports analysts have definitive point of view. They criticize, they appreciate, they talk about the game stretegy, player performance and everything. A New persernet read about the events, current affairs, but they don't have theri say.

When I see sports analysts I see independent minded people who work their magic in briefing us of the world of sports news and on the other hand there are the news presenters who are given a script to read the news, most of which they have not gathered. News presenter will be popular to the masses, but sports analysts will forever be adored by the sports fans who will always be eager to hear their views and opinions.

They both make me lough, I just can't take them seriously, but if I have to chose, I would chose the news presenter, at least he's doing something relatively useful, the sports analyst is completely useless, he shouldn't even exist.

I think both exist for different reasons. If you are watching t.v. to hear or learn about sports - you want the sports analyst. If on the other hand you're watching t.v. to see what happened in Fallujah today - then you would prefer the News presenter. It's all about what type of information you seek and when.
