SteelSeries Rival 100, Optical Gaming Mouse - Black

SteelSeries Rival 100, Optical Gaming Mouse - Black
SteelSeries Rival 100 Gaming Mouse is a perfect gaming mouse for anyone who's looking for a great mouse with that "extra something". Steelseries have designed the Rival Series for everyone who's in need of a superb gaming mouse.

If you're looking for your first gaming mouse or if you're looking for a new one, it doesn't matter. SteelSeries Rival 100 won't let you down!

Just like the Rival 300, Rival 100 has an optical sensor and 6 buttons.

  • Ideal Grip Style is: Claw / Finger-Tip.
  • One of the smaller gaming mouses out there.
  • Perfect for teenagers or adults with small hands.
  • The side buttons placements are great.
  • 4000 CPI / 140 IPS.

  • Not the ideal gaming mouse if you have normal/large-sized hands.
  • Rival 100 doesn't have a 3D Printable Nameplate.
  • No braided cord. (SteelSeries Sensei have that).

Great for my hand

I think that this is the type of mouse that I will definitely get to start using when I get this new gaming device that I am looking at. One thing that I enjoy is when the mouse that I am using to play games fits my hands and this is the perfect one for me.

SteelSeries Rival 300, Optical Gaming Mouse - Black
Just like SteelSeries Rival 100, the Rival 300 gaming mouse is identical with some small changes.

First of all, the size of the Rival 300 is a little bit bigger, so you can use this gaming mouse even if you have hands like Andre the Giant. (Any normal sized hands will work perfectly with the Rival 300.)

Secondly, SteelSeries Rival 300 has an optical sensor and 6 buttons just like the Rival 100, but the Rival 300 has a higher CPI.

  • Ideal Grip Style is: Palm / Claw.
  • Normal-sized gaming mouse.
  • The side buttons placements are great.
  • Rival 300 has a 3D Printable Nameplate.
  • 6500 CPI / 200 IPS.

  • Some people says that mouse button 1 and mouse button 2 seems to be "loose".
  • No braided cord. (SteelSeries Sensei have that).

Better than the other

This mouse seems to be far better than the other if you compae the reviews and the specifications. It seems ideal for gamers. I do not like very bulky mice as a general rule of thumb as my hand is not big, but the other mouse seems to be a bit too smallish. This one seems to be a good size, neither too big like some mice, and nor too small. I also like its design.

I agree with you! - I've had both the Steelseries Rival 100 and the Rival 300 and I couldn't use the Rival 100 more than a few hours before I felt pain in my hand because it was too small actually. SteelSeries Rival 300 on the other hand, is a perfect gaming mouse in my opinion and I've actually owned two of them so far. I wish they will do an upgraded version identical to the Rival 300 in the future. - I'll buy it immediately!

Higher CPI

I'd go with this mouse since it has the higher CPI and is a bit larger. Small mice make my wrist hurt and feel uncomfortable.

I think the shape of this would make it more comfortable for the one who has to use it all day. I myself don't use mice anymore and would much prefer to just have a touchpad instead, but if I had to use one and had to choose between these two, the one with the higher arch seems to be the more comfortable one to use for long periods of time so I'd just go with this one.

SteelSeries Rival 300, Optical Gaming Mouse - Black is the best choice for gaming. The size suits every size of hand any gamer would have. There are some people with bigger palm but this SteelSeries Rival 300 Optical mouse is the best.

Just get a logitech gaming mouse in my opinion. Dont waste so much money on the steel series as they are just a mouse and wont give in special powers to a gamer while gaming. You are still going to suck at Call of duty if your precision isnt great. Steel series or just a regular 15 bucks mouse.

I was quite confused with the description of the gaming mouse. An optical mouse? It took me a while before I remember that the olden mouse has an internal ball that dictates the movement. But the optical mouse has no more ball and the movement is determined by the light that it emits underneath. Anyway, it looks like the 2 products featured above are almost the same, they are both optical gaming mouse.
