so versatile

We grow raspberries and I love eating them fresh off the plant. However, I love strawberries more. Their seeds are smaller and therefore you can make more with strawberries. I add them to smoothies. I like strawberry jam on toast or with peanut butter. I like strawberry syrup on pancakes. I also throw frozen strawberries in my water or adult drink and it makes it nice and cold and flavored.

I like both strawberries and raspberries but if I were only able to pick one, I would go with strawberries. My mother used to make the best strawberry pies. I have not had a piece as good as her strawberry pie in ages. It just melted in your mouth. And when we were younger she would make homemade freezer strawberry jelly. Man that was the best. I miss that and wish that I was able to make some as good as what she did.

More delicious

I love the taste of strawberries. I can eat them solo, without doing anything to them, I can add condensed milk (which is more delicious), and I can turn them into shakes.

I don't get tired with the taste of strawberries. There's something about them that just allows me to much on them nonstop.

Strawberries make for perfect desserts. They're also pretty delicious when made as stuffing for bread.

I like both fruits very much, but here in my country it is much easier to find strawberries than blackberries. I honestly do not know why. Anyway, that makes me opt for strawberries instead of blackberries on this one. But I sure as I love blackberries too!

Strawberry wins!

I watched this infomercial about healthy eating and the man giving advice says ALL BERRIES are good and should be included in your diet. I'm like: OK! If ALL berries are good then that means I can pick the berries I like the most. Strawberry versus raspberry? Strawberry wins!

I don't really like raspberries. I don't know why I get an upset stomach after eating them. As for strawberries I really love to eat them. They are so juicy and delicious. I usually make salads and jam with the strawberries from my garden. Moreover strawberries are loaded with good vitamins and minerals that are good for our health.

Strawberries - freshly picked - yum !

Much as I like and enjoy eating both - if given a choice of the two I will always pick strawberries - as for me - nothing quite compares to that sweet but slightly tangy flavor of freshly picked strawberries straight from the garden - not just as they come - but each and every way that they can be eaten.

Whereas raspberries - I much prefer as a syrup or sauce - simply because of the seeds - which are not only quite large - but as they generally manage to get stuck in my teeth - it takes away all the enjoyment of eating them!

Strawberries are better

Raspberries are awesome, so don't me wrong, and I love them with ice cream and in sauces, etc. However, when I think of strawberries versus raspberries as just a raw snackable fruit, I would rather sink my teeth into a ripe plump strawberry than a diminutive raspberry any day. I love the texture and snap of the strawberry when I bite into it. Also, I really love strawberries and whipped cream on my vanilla ice cream.

I love strawberries! Especially when they are added to some dessert. It makes it that much tastier! Also, they are a healthy fruit which can add some flavour to your life

My preference

I prefer strawberry. I think it's much easier to find good strawberries than good raspberries.

Strawberries, please.

If there is a person in the world who can be called a strawberry addict, that person is me. According to my parents, since I was a child I was addicted to everything made with strawberries.

Thank God, after I became an adult... That hasn't changed, haha!

Posted by wiseagent on 10-29-2017

Nothing against raspberries, I personally like both of them and can't even compare them. I'll choose strawberries, because you can combine them with a lot of other stuff that can make them even tastier and you can find them anywhere. You can also eat them on a lot of other sweet stuff, because they go perfect with things that are sweet.

This for me

I'm not a fan of any of these fruits but I have to say that I prefer Strawberries. They are sweeter, more delicious and you can use them to decor almost any dessert. I've seen different ways to use a strawberry as a decoration of a dessert, one of them is to make a rose with the strawberry. I would like to learn how to do that.

Not really a fan of either but if I had to choose I'd just go with strawberries because I am more familiar with it. The most I've eaten raspberries is in a shake, which I didn't really like. I am more fond of other fruits like bananas and watermelon, but between these two, I think I'd just go with strawberries instead because even in artificial flavoring I prefer this one.

Everything with Strawberry

I do love strawberry among other berries that existed. The first strawberry food that I love is the Dunkin Donut with strawberry fillings as they're my child donut until now. Second is the Strawberry flavored Taho (silken tofu with tapioca, vanilla, strawberry), and the third one is the Nestle Yogurt Strawberry (My Superfood). I'm from the Philippines and you can usually pick strawberries in the Baguio City, as freshly as you can get.

Raspberry is common here so I haven't tried one and even I do, I would still select strawberry since it's already been part of my childhood.

Strawberry is my favorite. In fact, I have never tasted any flavor better than Strawberry. If my ice cream is not Strawberry made, I'm not taking it. It have a lovely taste and it's why I enjoy it so much.

I vote for strawberry. I like to eat strawberry even the fresh ones. It is good to be made as a jam.

I love strawberries! I remember when I was young and we used to go picking them at strawberry farms. That was a lot of fun but we used to get so many of them we'd end up getting sick of them! Our mum used to make amazing strawberry jams and all sorts with them. But I love the taste of raspberries I find the taste much nicer. Kind of sweeter even though strawberries are sweet. Raspberries have a much more tangy taste to them and a taste that lingers a lot longer as well. The health benefits of raspberries are very interesting to note and I'm glad you've listed them here in this VS compared to strawberries. I haven't actually eaten any raspberries for a while so I think I'll add this to my shopping list and get some the next time I go shopping! :D

I like both

But raspberries are my favorite. I can't get enough of them. I buy them every week when I do my groceries. I also love raspberry jam or raspberry pie. We had a lot of raspberry bushes here so I love to stock up on them when they are in season. I love any type of berries but raspberries are by far the best in my opinion.

I really like citric fruits and this one is my favorite of them all. I really love the fact that they are so acid. I like to eat them as a evening snack with a bit of sugar sprinkled in the top. Also I love them in juices! I really like to make "nicecream" with them too, You need to get some frozen ones, add some yogurt, if you want you can add bananas and some honey and there you go! the perfect dessert!

I choose strawberries here our country we have but raspberry I think we don’t have that. In our country there is a cold place city “Baguio” in that place there is many strawberries and we sometime go there and buy. I love strawberry jam, sometime we deep strawberry with condensed milk. Strawberries are a good source of vitamin C, a nutrient which can help to promote a healthy immune system. Another reason strawberries are great, is that they are relatively lower in calories than other fruits, at only 4 calories per medium-sized strawberry.

I like strawberries because of it's sweetness and flavor than raspberry. Strawberries has many uses because it can be made into a jam, added to salads, cake and pastries. Aside from that it is rich in vitamin C and most people love its flavor than raspberry.

Correct me if I’m wrong. Raspberry has a peculiar tang that I couldn’t eat a lot unlike the strawberry which is a good snack for me especially when it is sweet. I remember our trip to Beijing, we chanced upon a vendor by the provincial road. Aside from vegetables, he was also selling strawberries. We bought 2 pounds and voila, it was so good that we bought some more to bring back to the hotel. I think I took a photo of those strawberries.

Raspberry to me is much better than strawberry because it contains essential vitamins and minerals for the body to give good eye sight, healthy skin and good for weight loss.

My love for strawberry. I love them to bit,it helps liven my taste very delicious and nutritious couple with the health benefits of fighting diseases, boosting our immune system, cleansing our skin and body and keeping one fresh.I love it flavor and it color is really irresistible and attractive.

I like strawberry as well as raspberry, however, I did not know these health benefits. If strawberry controls hypertension, I think this will be a good food for my dad suffering from hypertension. If raspberry is good for weight loss, this will be a better food for my sister battling weight.

Raspberry is alien to me although I had tasted it just recently. Compared to strawberry, I prefer the sweet strawberry particularly if it is sweet. The best strawberries I had tasted were the Japanese and Chinese type when we were in Beijing last year and in Osaka, Japan this year. Their strawberries are beyond compare. By the way, we also have strawberries here in the northern provinces but they are smaller and not so very sweet.
Posted by Corzhens on 11-05-2017
Tough call. I like Strawberries on cheesecake, I like strawberry preserves and ice cream too. But I prefer raspberry flavored powdered drinks, and sodas. I guess I enjoy both equally.
Posted by NickJ on 11-06-2017
it is very difficult for me to decide. I love both and they are really healthy and tasty. I like both on their own or adding them to other food. I wish I could eat them more often but they are seasonal fruits so after the season they are expensive and don't taste so good. I wish i could eat them all year round but at least you can eat strawberry and rasperry jams in winter.
Posted by felabruno on 11-13-2017
I like them both, but I think that I have to say I prefer raspberries. While I do like the smaller seeds of strawberries, and hoe much less delicate they are, raspberries tend to be sweeter when in season.

I also never have much luck with yield when it comes to strawberry plants in the garden. Raspberry bushes grow like weeds along the field a two minute walk from my house, as well as down some of the back alleys. I picked around 10lbs of them this past summer! For free! I used a few for baking in their fresh state, then I froze the rest in a single layer on baking sheets before packaging into recipe sized portions.

I didn't have to worry about removing leaves and cutting them up like I would have done with strawberries. I must say though, that the tiny wild strawberries you come across out in nature beat raspberries butt. They just aren't generally found in large enough quantities to do anything other than gobble them up when you see them lol.

Strawberry is also a fruit rich in antioxidants, such as anthocyanins and ellagic acid, which confer other health benefits: Combat aging skin; Help prevent cardiovascular disease; Improve mental capacity; Prevent cancer; Help fight inflammation.

The consumption of fresh raspberries promotes a variety of nutrients such as proteins, soluble fiber, carbohydrates, vitamins A, C and B9 (folic acid), and other minerals such as potassium, calcium, magnesium. They are also extremely rich in natural antioxidants, which are considered the key to good health.

The raspberry, stands out for its high content of vitamin C, an essential element for the health of our body. This vitamin helps to strengthen our immune system and, in turn, is a remarkable antioxidant that prevents premature cell aging and defends us against free radicals.
