The World and Mythical creatures

The World and Mythical creatures
Centuries ago, the world believed so much in mythical creatures so much that they feared and worshiped them as gods which they offer both animals and human sacrifices.

Some parts of the where pagans still practices well observe such traditions of offering sacrifices.

There are so many mythical creatures like Medusa, Griffin, werewolves, Dragons, Anubis, Zeus, etc.

If such creatures are still believed in now as they were in the past, what would be the fate of the world now?

If we still have Mythical creatures in our world right now in our modern age the world that we live in would not be the same. Our world is like those fantasy films like Lord of the ring or the Hobbit or even like Harry Potter films but with a modern touch. this would be amazing for me because I love fantasy related things Just imagine while you're driving a car in a road and you would see a centaur crossing the street, or you would even have a werewolf officemate. Instead of riding cars we would be riding dragons.

Yes, it would be exciting, yet frightening as well. You will never know what would happen next as these creatures are more powerful than us.

It will be exciting. We shall enjoy living with them.

I do not believe you. We will tame these creatures to work for us. Believe me.

Oh goodness, I cannot imagine a world were these creatures are living. It would be hard for us to live. If we don't have the power and wealth, then, pretty much, we will be slaves.

I think before the dawn of any religion, there must be some of the creatures likely to exist. But we have no longer any proof of this. So that limits our exploration on that matter. We have there assumptive faces and the VISUALS. So we may have to do more research on this.

Thank God we don't need to face all of these creature now but I think believe we would have invented weapons that will help make them go extinct. Hope I'm not dreaming well we can never know.

Sacrificing animals is still rampant in most parts of the world. Traditions are still being followed strictly even to date. Animal sacrifices in rural areas are common during the festival season. I am not aware of any mythical creatures mentioned in this post. I will have to go through the history books to gain some important knowledge about the traditions of the past

This is a bad habit. It is like returning Christ to the cross. He came, a sheep without blemishes, to die once for the atonement of our sins

It's so sad to see animals being sacrificed,as they would like to live and be on Earth freely. But, we cannot judge these people because it's what they believe in.

I do believe why many people believe in these mystic creatures is because they are blinded. the Bible speaks of it in 2 Corinthians 4:4 KJV "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." Even at this age, many people believed and worshiped these kind of creatures in another form. Many self-professing Christians are still practicing Pagan worships and if we based on the Bible, the fate of these Pagan believers would be inconceivable.

Wow! Are you right? We are actually blinded. We have blinded not only our eyes but our hearts, mind and soul.

Well if all the Mythical creatures existed in reality right now, we would have a very different World right now. These creatures would have been ruling the World with all there Mythical powers and we all would have been living in an environment of terror. As regards to the animal sacrifice, i think there are a number of countries in the World where animals are still sacrificed to please such forces which i think is very unfortunate and highly condemnable.

Yea, animal sacrifices still exist in my part of the continent but not as much as it was years ago. I think people are more civilized now and they know that most things don't make sense. Things are really changing with time.

You joke with man. Man can tame wild animals and women. Am sure they can tame all those mythical creatures

We definitely have different of living. If it's true then humans are into hiding or being hunted I guess. Imagine if there dragons or other creature, I don't think we have chance of huge survival if ever. We could also b slaves or we could riding one of these mythical creatures, who knows?

I agree with you. Those creatures will finish us. OMG! What am I saying? Those creatures will not syevive

Those you mentioned are mostly Greek Mythology, while Anubis is Egyptian. Werewolf is from European folklore. Anyway, IF they were real today wouldn't we also have the means to battle them out? Them I mean werewolves and other possible monsters. Honestly it's hard for me to answer this because I believe in only one God.

With a digitalised world they will not survive. We will robot them and computerise them to extinction

I think some of the time we feel like mythical creature to be present in the back of the day. I have noticed that some of the time such type of the creatures are more likely to existing in it's own realm. but that time has long gone. And things are less likely to happen in many ways. I guess we are soon to find that out as well.

Reading is one thing but existing and believing in them is another thing. Fantasy plays a big time in what we write. Ask me?

I like to read about mythical creatures. I don't exactly believe in them but I am curious about these creatures that are told to exist in the past. I like to read about Greek mythology, Norse mythology, and many others. I also like to read about the folklore in my country. It is something that brings me relaxation.

The same with me. I don't really believe in them, but when you read novels with these creatures in the story, you would, at some point, become curious if these were true and co-existing in the shadows.

The world and the mythical creatures: I guess if those creatures still exist in our world up today, the one who leads in every nation is not a person but a creature kind one and we people are just slaves, or if not we are keep on hiding ourselves from them. I can't really imagine if we people and those creature can be live together without a fight.

Now his is another point. The creatures do rule over us? That is unimaginable. Come to think of it. Are these world leaders real people or such creatures?

I have a niece who is into divinity that she was worshipping different kinds of gods. She said that it is Buddhism but from what I know of Buddhism is that it is all about Buddha. But in her home there are so many statues that don’t look like ordinary people because there is one statue with 4 hands or maybe 6, I don’t remember. There’s also a statue that looks like an elephant which is also a god.

Your sister may be into voodooism. She practices black magic. Hers is not religion. I will bet my last cents about that

If mythical creatures still exist now i don't think mankind will survive. Like Saphira as in eargon sorry auto correct will not allow the real name it would be awesome but they are immortal and get very large and what about bullet and hunters like illegal hunters for dragon bone, claw, and teeth. And horns

You mean they existed before. I thought it was only fantasied galore? To me, they do not exist unless in the spiritual realm

I, myself, believe that such creatures do exists but I don't view them as gods or worshipping icon. The world is very wide that many places are not yet discovered. It is hard to declare that it does not exist while we have nothing to prove that it doesn't. If that so, I don't think that mankind could survive against them. So the least that we could do is to respect their place and identity.

Of late, we have had many stories of aliens. Are they not part of the whole belief.? Humans are funny creatures. They are vulnerable to fantasy and being manipulated.

Our fate would be on different terms. Some would believe in Zeus, others in Medusa, some with the dragons and so on. I can imagine us being divided and separated depending on which mythical creature do we believe in and who do we worship.
Posted by YoloBoy on 12-17-2018

Aren't we separated already? Some believe in Jesus while others in Mohammed. Some pray to the image of cows and others crucifixes. We still do believe in those creatures

And yet here we are today in the real world facing the same circumstance where we are divided base on what we believe in. The only difference is that it is not Zeus, Medusa or any mythical creature that we worship.

The world will still be the same. I still believe people still believe in those mythical beings. See the films they make and you will agree with me. We live in fantasy. Reality is not in us.

There are actually people out there who still believe in such mythical creatures. I’m interested in the paranormal—even though I consider most of it to be bunk—so I’ve met a lot of people in the paranormal seeking community who still genuinely believe that creatures like vampires and wolves actually exist. I can understand how people thought those creatures were real in the past, because there were and still are many occurrences in the world which are hard to explain, but you’d think that people would know better these days.

In any case, the world is still filled with plenty of superstition, so I actually don’t think all that much has changed from the days of worshipping gods and other mythical deities.

Yes, the world is still full of superstitions but it is not like as before when every aspect of the olden days were affected and ruled by superstitions. I agree that there are still many things that science can't explain and for me that actually is a good thing as it still gives us a sense of wonder when we encounter such things or experiences.

Let's me share something with you, we Ossetians have our own faith (Irætty adæmon din), and according to this faith all the mythical creatures died after the departure of Nart Saga (first civilization), with the exception of Dælimons. Those were evil demon-like creatures who fought the Narts (first humans), and were defeated. But they refused to disappear and transformed themselves into humans in order to trick the Narts into believing they're gone. After some time, the Narts and Dælimons began to marry one another (unknowingly), and thus we regular humans were created. The explanation of why one human is either good or bad is because he either has more Nart blood in him, or a Dælimon one.

Forgive my ignorance but this is the first time I have heard Ossetians and you're explanation of how humans came to be is really interesting. The detail of humans being either good or bad is because we equally both Nart and Daelimon is interesting. Thank you for sharing, I would definitely read more about your faith.

Mythical creatures are interesting thing. I mean, they exist from millions of years ago. I think some mythical creatures were actually real but they vanished throughout the history. What do I also think is that most of mythical creatures were invented by people who fear the unknown. When you are afraid, you tend to imagine and see things that are non-existent. I love stories about mythical creatures but when I listen to a story about them I get afraid sometimes, I must confess.

I like mythical creatures. I have a board on Pinterest where I collect legends, myths and folklore. I don't believe in them. I think mythical creatures are the result of people who had a really active imagination.

If these creatures are still believed in today then that just means that we as a race have failed ourselves. It means that we humans have not progressed enough to move past old traditions and belief and we have not made enough critical discoveries and inventions and we are stuck in the past. Many of these mythical creatures and old traditions we had was because our ancestors was not advanced enough to understand how things work and they had to justify events and things happening as a handiwork of creatures such as these.
