The end of the world is not yet near

The end of the world is not yet near
I've been hearing a lot of predictions regarding the end of the world. Some have been saying that the end is near, that the world will end, that everything will cease to exist. I've been hearing these predictions since 1998. Some say that the world would end on September 24, 2017 which is definitely not the case.

I think that because of the calamities and natural disasters that are happening nowadays like earthquakes and cyclone and tsunamis and classic eruptions and such have prompted people to conclude that the world is about to come to an end. But I believe otherwise.

I think that the world will not come to an end any time soon. These natural calamities have been happening since the age of dinosaurs! I think that people have interpreted some parts of the Bible wrongly and have overreacted to the calamities that are happening today. When world War 1 happened, did people believe that it was the end of the world? What about world War 2?

These calamities and disasters, whether natural or man made come and go. They are part of the cycle of life. The world is not ending. Not in a hundred thousand years.

Who are we to destroy the earth?

Why is it that this millennium has been so hell bent in taking credit for being the century in which the world ended? What makes us so very powerful that we can destroy what has been here for millions if not billions of years? True, we may very well find a way to exterminate our own species but to terminate all life on earth and to destroy earth itself is beyond our capabilities.
I also do not believe that God has any intention of destroying the entire earth just to get even with us, or to provide us with a squeaky clean new earth. The kingdom of God is the knowledge of who we truly are which is a part of the universal whole. Each one of us is directly descended from the beginning and we will continue on in one dimension or another in one form or another, for infinity. Being able to understand and appreciate what that means and to live in a way that exemplifies it is to know the kingdom of God. So the world is just the physical backdrop we have chose to use, like stage dressing, in our quest to chart our spiritual journey. I don't think God or anyone else for that matter, has that much interest in destroying something that is probably, in reality, much different than what we perceive it to be.

Nop

Every week there is some article about how the world is going to end during the next week and I just laugh every single time. It just won't happen. And if the world is close to ending then I'm sure that NASA or some other scientific organisation would know about it and would warn us in advance.

We have plenty of time

Well, what is near for you? I don't think that the world will end for a couple more thousand years. I still remember when we first entered the 2000 years and everybody was panicking, "Oh my god, the world will end, we need to enjoy today and spend money''. Then they spent all their money and the world never ended.

People always say how it will end and so on. Of course, it will end. Everything ends at some point but I don't believe all these theories that have been false so far. We have plenty more time unless something terrible and unpredictable happens but I highly doubt that. So stop panicking people :)

Fake Stories

Almost every cult and religion has the end of the world story. And it's been going on for no matter how many years. But the thing about the fake stories is that they always fail. You just have to understand that some of the time such stories are exaggerated. If we understand this things would be lot easier for us to grasp. End of the world can't be that easy to see as well.

The World Is Not Ending

The planet Earth is not coming to an end any time soon. However, if we keep behaving the way that we are, our species might be coming to an end soon. We have abused our environment to no end, and we are always on the brink of thermonuclear war. These two factors alone could spell the end of human existence. However, the Earth itself will heal, in time, from what we have done to it. We are just running around on the outer crust of this great planet.

Not today.

All these theories about the end of the world are no more than sensational nonsense. The world will only end when its creator wants... I mean, it will only end when God wants it.

Why do not people realize this once and for all?

Agreed

I'm sure it is not gonna happen now. We have seen lately how things are getting crazier every month but that doesn't mean that the end is around the corner. Yes, the planet hasn't been treated properly and we have to take care of it and be gentle to it as much as possible to keep it alive for longer. Sure the end will happen, someday, but as I said it's gonna take a few hundred years.

Agreed

No, the end is not near. Our world (Planet Earth) is not going to end until some millions of years, after our sun becomes a red giant. Now, if we are talking about the extinction of the human race, it sometimes seems to be closer than what anyone would wish. Many of our actions are pretty autodestructive, but I'm hopeful because I think our self preservation instinct is strong and we will find a way to protect our planet's ecosystems and coexist... Or we will die trying.

Not really

The end of the world is not near. People come up with these theories everytime they find a small thing that seems strange. The millennium, the planets, the 2012 apocalypse, the zombies.. It's just ridiculous to read things like these nowadays, especially when science has progressed so much that we would know if something bad would happen before it happens.

Why?

Why do we always or why do they always say that the world will end soon? No one knows when will it happen and only God knows when will end the world. They should stop claiming that the world is ending soon. We should just pray and enjoy life for the time being.

Disagree

Unfortunately, it is the end.

The US is on the edge of nuclear war with North Korea, an economic depression (worse than 1929 and of course, worldwide) due to an unbacked falling US dollar, nuclear wars with Russia and China as fallout to the depression. Yes, the world is on the edge of a terrible catastrophe not seen before and I haven't even yet mentioned all the hurricanes, earthquakes that have hit and will probably hit again.

Region wise. It's very close

If you happen to be a knack towards religion and reading of the scriptures, you would definitely find out more about what the Lord said that would be rampant and occurring in the event of end time.

I really can't remember the particular verse and chapter it is in the Bible but I think I would be still able to highlight some of those things that were said to would be occurring in our world during end time period.

It was said that the world would experience so many war, dispute and disagreement, fathers would rise against son and son against fathers, diseases of no proper explanation, hunger, crises etc. All these are very common in our world today, and looking at it from the field of Christianity and religious beliefs, one would be very scared of what might happen next.

Well,As a Christian I want to go by the word of the bible which record that we are in the end time and that everyone should repent and buckle up because the coming of the lord is at hand and it can be tonight no one knows

That's it, no one knows. So how could we say that it's already the end of the world? How could you say that it's already the end of time?

You know what? I think that people spread these rumors in order to make people repent and do good. Because if people believe that the end of the world is near, they would be scared and repent in order for them to be "saved".

Still, it's a matter of belief. If you believe that the world is ending, then that's fine. But I don't want to live all my life in fear that the world is about to end.

The end of the world is yet to come. No one knows but one thing is certain, it is near and we should repent. Disasters and other catastrophes are sings of an impending doom. It could be that the end of the world is human causes because of lack of care with our mother nature and maybe it will end through a great war.

That is true about your point that we should repent before the world end .Where all disasters happened including mother nature is being abused that's why we are experiencing calamities.

It was amusing to hear people saying that the end of the world is at hand. I mean how do they expect the earth to end like that without us fulfilling the purposes God brought us to the world. This is not the first time that people are making predictions about the end of the world and it is quite unfortunate that they failed again to predict when the world is going to end. I see no end to the world, but see every death as the end of the person that died.

I doubt the end will ever come, and if it will we will not know for sure when it will happen. I got tired of reading those predictions about the ending of the world, the last one was on 23 September, that was yesterday and as we can see we are still here. I guess this method of spreading terror and panic is to make the selling rise because the people will be scared and start to buy stuff and spend all their money.

Most of the religious people say it every decade that end is near. But there does not seem to be the case for the end of the world. Life just keeps on going. And people don't know how that is going to work out. You can see that cults are always there to fill some gaps into the things that happen around the world. And they are adding the end of the world theory. That's what makes it a bit odd to see things happening.

I honestly don't think the world is going to end anytime soon, but it could happen. There are so many unstable leaders with access to nuclear weapons, that we certainly could see the end of the world at some point. However, a certain faith in humanity has to be maintained I think. The world has survived this long, there is no reason to think we might not last much longer maybe indefintely. Even in the event of a nuclear war, there is no reason to think that all of humanity is going to be wiped out.

In my own understanding only God the Father knows when will the world end not even the angels know i believe that some signs of the end times already come out signs that found on the bible Matthew some are already done like famine various earthquake , flood humor of country war. so for me let's just keep praying to God to be more closure to him.

No one of us here can predict when the world is nearly ending. Though we experienced calamities which is no longer normal compare from previous which is caused by human initiations.

If you consider the wars and disputes and other upheavals, you must admit these instances have been ongoing for some time now. Is this saying that the world has been ending for some time now? These end of world theories will continue as long as there is life in the world which is proof that the end of world conspiracies are missing the mark. Now that's some twisted irony. Take the one about September 24th for example. Did the world end on September 24th when some parts of the world have already crossed over into the next day September 25th? The alpha and omega is defined in the bible, the beginning and end of life as we know it. There are signs all around to tell us that this exist as well. One of the main signs being the existence and non existence of people as well as the rebirth of our own kind as time marches on.

In my lifetime I can't remember how many times I have heard that the world was going to end on a certain day. Far too many times to count. There is nobody who can predict when and if that will ever happen. They can guess and they can predict but they really don't know the exact date. All it does is cause people to panic and worry for nothing. I just ignore it when I hear it.

No... Not yet all that disaster and calamities we are encountering now is a calling of our mother nature. It reminds us to be vigilant and responsible and be kind to our mother earth. This is the world we live and we must protect not destroy it. We have a lot of time to save our mother earth we must act and join together .So many predictions we always read but No one will ever know when the world will end only the God creator.

When I was younger I believed these types of stories somewhat but back then I also sort of believed in religion albeit just a little, but now that I'm older, I think it's kind of silly. Anyone with the information of when the world will end or what happens after we die better have the right numbers for the lottery too because it means they can see into the future. It kind of baffles me how people my age or even older than I am still believe in these things, but I can't really judge them all that harshly since I know what it feels to be in that state of mind at some point too.

There are always going to be new "end of the world" predictions. Probably since the dawn of man people have been predicting the coming of the end times. Truth is that I don't believe in some cataclysmic apocalypse as you would expect from the Bible and other religious scriptures. What I do believe is that we're slowly killing the Earth through pollution and soon enough, like a person with bad habits, we're eventually going to make this planet sick enough that it won't be able to sustain us and we'll slowly die out.

To be honest, I don't think we will ever see the end of the world. It's not near and definitely not in a millenium. That's my fearless forecast because based on my religion, Catholics believe that God created the world for man and it is not to be destroyed. Even if all the nuclear bombs will be detonated, the earth will be destroyed somehow but it will continue to survive particularly man and some animals as well. As in the great flood related in the Bible, people did not vanish. The Ark of Noah was just a symbol to mean that man and animals have survived the catastrophe.

I always see this topic being debated over and over. And as i always say, i don't believe in predictions. Only god knows when he will end this world. Almost every year there are people saying that the end is near or the world will end that year. I think the famous one is on the year 2000 and 2012. But as we all know, we are still alive now. People are always guessing on when the world will end, or when the bible verse will come true, And Nostradamus predictions are real. But can't we accept that no one can really tell on when this will happen? Yes world might really end, who knows, it will come on our least expected moment when everyone is partying and enjoying without a clue. And we should accept it. Maybe now or maybe not in our lifetime. We just have to go on with our lives and trust god. Follow his commandments and try to live without hurting other people.

Any body that is telling people that the world will soon end in a certain year is only telling you lies. Jesus Christ himself said it that nobody knows the hour, day or year that the world will end, only God himself knows the actual time that everything in the world will end. We need to live righteous and holy lives so that when our personal world ends that is when we die, then God will now accept us into heaven.

With each passing day I see more people talking about the end of the world. Honestly, this is a subject that does not worry me, after all, it is only God who knows when the end of the world will be and if there will be an end. I think the end of the world is not just about the end of planet Earth, after all, if Planet Earth ends (for whatever reason) the universe will still exist without feeling our lack. I believe that the most important thing is to take care of our planet just as we take care of our home. Actions against deforestation, pollution and even nuclear wars are extraordinarily important issues to avoid the end of Planet Earth. So instead of discussing when and how the end of the world will be, I think we'd better use our energies to save our planet from the various threats.

The Earth was formed 4.5 billion years ago. The Sun has about 5 billion more years of hydrogen fuel. When that happens, the Earth won’t survive because the Sun is expected to swell and become a red giant and swallow the Earth, evaporating it. Well, that was a joke because that is not going to happen near enough. What's happening is now. The prophecies of Naimatullah Shah Wali are the true source to find out about it.

Although the bible states that no one knows the hour or day when the rapture shall sound, for all indications, the end is very near according to the same Bible. The word of God says we should take note that the hour is near when we begin to see signs of tribulations and destructions everywhere in the world. Obviously, all these signs have begun to manifest in the world already and are signs of the end time. The issue about the end time does not matter but the preparation we have to make for it. It's very risky for the end to come without meeting us prepared.

I tend not to worry either way. Tomorrow, I could get in a freak accident and die or the world could end but there's nothing I can do about either situation. I try not to worry to much about things that are so far removed from my control. I already have enough to worry about.
