Twitter

This was a really tough question for me because I just love them both. I use them both quite regularly but for me I had to go with Twitter because of the fact that I follow a lot of my friends on there which makes it slightly better than Reddit. With Twitter you get personal content and content from around the world as well which just makes it great.

Twitter

I really don't have experience with reddit. I have looked at a few threads on there but I am not a member. I guess I should perhaps become one because it seems to be well established.

I Use Twitter Regularly

Reddit is ok, for many purposes, but I find that I get to caught up in the threads there, and that a lot of it is a bit of a waste of time. There's a lot of questionable and vile material on Reddit, as well, and I just don't need all that negativity in my life. Twitter, on the other hand, seems to be policed a bit better, and I like using it regularly for my social media purposes. I use it to make general comments and observations, and I also use it to network with like-minded people who are into the same music, art, movies, and topics that I am into. It is a quick and easy way to put yourself out there, and once you have your tweet idea put together, it is very convenient to send and share.

Popular here.

I was one of those that never had the need to switch to any other social media platform apart from Facebook, but the coming of twitter really changed my mind about that in the sense that I don't stay a day without logging into my twitter account to check tweets made by other, re tweet the ones I found interesting as well as like the ones I feel like liking. Also, it doesn't stop me from making my tweets as well and I must say that joining twitter has been a good idea for me. It's really popular that most of my friends use this social media platform to connect with people.

Twitter

Twitter is more fun and better organized. Reddit to me has a sloppy looking design and seems very convoluted and crowded. But that's just the coder in me speaking.

More familiar with Twitter

Twitter happens to be one of the most popular sites around here and I'm more comfortable using the social media site than any other one. The hashtags, follows, retweet makes usage of Twitter very easy and fun to operate. It's very easy to understand because it doesn't require much work to master how to utilize it.

I have made use of Twitter in the past for my networking business and it really helped me a lot in getting more increased sales with my goods and services. I still make use of it now for just getting connected and getting quick breaking news as it happens.

Tweet Tweet

Twitter is the better platform for me, I'm doing Facebook a lot and it has the widest coverage of users, it has everything I need and Twitter with its short posts but wide user coverage is a good supporting platform for me. Reddit on the other hand is not that popular in my country unlike Twitter which has a lot of users here.

Reddit
This is a social media website, social bookmarking and discussion website. Reddit allows members to discuss topics and also allow them to rate them by upvoting if the like what they see or down vote if they don't like it or if they do not find the information to any interest to them.

Reddit also allows members to create there own sub-board pages called subreddits. These subreddits are very popular and they have tons of pages out there which are very popular and whatever topic/niche you are looking for you can sure to find it on Reddit.

Reddit also is very popular if used correctly if using for exposure you can gain mass traffic to your website or business. But be sure not to use it just for this as Reddit users hate spammers. Reddit also works on something called Karma, Karma points and Karma comments.

Building your Karma can help you in a big way on Reddit, by communicating as a community and helping others can help you gain Reddits trust and not come across as a spammer or just there to promote things. Once Karma has been built and you been on there a good while as a community helper and builder. You can use Reddit to your advantage and say if you promote your website by submitting it to the relevant subreddit then if you get a lot of upvotes you may have a chance making it to the Reddit front page.

If this happens you can gain mass traffic so much traffic but depend if it is liked by many. But apart from this and creating subreddits for your business or hobbies, Reddit is a brilliant way to communicate with others on many subjects from entertainment and news and so much more.

Pros
Great way to get traffic to your website Get great tips from other Redditors

Cons
May come across some gruesome things on Reddit as there are a few strange topics on there. May find a lot of spam and spammers on there.

More fun and informative

I use both sites. They're great for promoting content. But I prefer reddit much more over Twitter. Yes, the Twitter app is much more simple and intuitive. The site is minimalistic and easy to navigate. Reddit on the other hand looks dated. It's also hard to go through the various sub reddits if you don't know what you're doing. However, despite these flaws I think reddit is much more fun and much more informative. Reddit is a treasure trove of information. I find reddit much more entertaining than Twitter.

Better

I use both every day but I do prefer Reddit. I love the whole unique concept. It has so many subredits it is crazy. You can find almost everything there and I have gotten a lot of useful advice.

I also like that the users can give upvotes and downvotes.

Reddit

If you are using social media for learning new things. And clearing few doubts. I'd say reddit is a good source. And people should put their time into such community. Unlike twitter, it has lot of groups and the people are often trolls but good enough for sharing stuff. I'd say it is a good project.

It depends, but usually Reddit

They are both good platforms, Twitter is more focused towards social interaction (mostly with celebrities), and Reddit is more focused on interesting/funny/important content. I use Reddit a lot more because it gives you so many things. First off, you can ask any question that you have. Second, you can learn so much on subreddits such as /r/todayilearned and /r/interestingasf***, and then you can discuss the content with other people in the comments. Overall, I find Reddit to be a very entertaining and informative platform.

Reddit

As long as you know how to navigate yourself around reddit, you won't have problems when it comes to the gruesome stuff that you hear of. You don't have to comment to participate, but the discussions are very insightful and is not limited to 140 characters, which gives better insight to topics. There are also dedicated subreddits for various special interests which makes it more of a welcoming community than twitter.

I don't think that you can really compare the two, to be quite honest. They are completely different types of platforms that serve different purposes. Twitter is all about keeping up to date with what your favorite celebrities/content creators are doing. Reddit on the other hand is about…well, just about anything. It is more about posting content and forming communities around certain subjects, while Twitter is mostly about short updates. Needless to say, I prefer Reddit either way.

I use reddit the most. The reason being it has more better content compared to the twitter. And also unlike twitter which is pure left wing. You can see that reddit has no such conditions. And it works on the own group moderation way. I have used the reddit and learned a lot of things. I'd say twitter is just noise and nothing more than that.

I use both every day. I use Twitter for entertainment purposes only. However, for Reddit, there are thousands of subreddit that you can use for entertainment, knowledge and humorous contents. You can't get enough with just one subreddit. It's like, users there are more responsible and more discipline on what they post. Commentators are also giving their opinions in a respective way so it's not that stressful to be in there for how many hours.

I don't think these two platforms are comparable because they function so very differently from each other. I spend more time on Reddit than Twitter, so if we were just voting based on how much time one spends on the platform, then Reddit would win for me. However, I like being able to follow local people and businesses on Twitter and be able to keep up with other things that way. Really, I use both for different purposes as well.

I think I would go to twitter. I must admit that this is more popular here in my place as compared to reddit. Most of my friends uses twitter and we basically just hang out there and talk about anything. Although, most people might find reddit better but for me personally twitter helps me to improve my connection with others.

Reddit have about 2.5M registered users, whereas twitter has about 200M registered users. So however many engineers reddit has, you could maybe assume twitter has 100x that many (reddit has 4, twitter has 4*100 = 400 engineers).

Furthermore, reddit is open source, meaning people who aren't getting paid contribute to the backend code, whereas twitter is entirely proprietary.

I have always loved Twitter because it helps one keep abreast of all the happenings around the world,it all about a user tweeting the incident and it just takes others retweeting it or hashtagging it for the news to go viral and people get to know about it, Again it a source of organic traffic for site owners, just share a link or links to your websites and get your followers click on it to read or visit the site.it a great platform as well for selling of both physical and digital products.

I had read somewhere that Twitter is the second to Facebook in terms of membership with more than 500 million. I have a Twitter account that is inactive because I am more of a Facebook user and I don’t find a separate use for Twitter in my social media life. Facebook is more than enough although I know that some people are into Facebook and Twitter. Oh well, I don’t have that much time to spend so I just chose between Facebook and Twitter. With Reddit, I hve been seeing that but I have no intention of joining, not yet.

I am on Twitter, I use twitter regularly. I was on Reddit, however, I left reddit. In order to make most from reddit, you need to be active and gain reputation. You need to be some kind of influencer to gain from reddit. Since reddit demands active participation, I left reddit. The basics of twitter is gaining followers who are actually interested on your niche. If you cna build followers interested in your niche, you can get a lot of traffic from twitter.

I think it depends on your intensity. Twitter is definitely a social network where you can post few characters. On the other hand, I see Reddit as a forum where you can find a multitude of information on various subjects. I've never used Reddit, so I just get Twitter.

I prefer Twitter if I wanted to be entertain because of the stress I got from school. Twitter is basically a social networking site where you can just rant anything on your wall without caring at all. You can also find some interesting Twitter pages that post entertaining stuff, videos that put away all of your stress. However, I prefer to use Reddit if I wanted to interact or crowdsource something, most of the users that I encountered on Reddit are intellectual, there are hundreds of subreddits that you can choose from if you are interested in the same area, you will get to encounter people with the same interests as yours.

We can't compare both, they're simply two different social media sites that get different uses.

Twitter is amazing to have small discussions, to get information and to interact on a basic level with others, but reddit is much better when it comes to discussing by theme and having deep debates regarding a specific topic.

I use both for different types of interactions, and both are really useful. Twitter is as bad as you make it out to be, and so is reddit.
