Control

There have been many cases in a group activity wherein not everyone could contribute because there is usually that one person who hogs most or that it only need a few people. Working alone for me has this freedom and control. You can have your ideas flowing freely. You can do whatever you want without other's ideas butting in. You don't have to feel so submissive. It's your world. You are in control.

However, I would consider a by pair grouping because there is not much conflict if both are very cooperative.

Alone

I would always choose to work alone. I do not like working in a big group of people because everyone thinks that he/she knows the best, including me. That is why I almost always choose to work alone. I simply do not want to fight with anyone over something. Of course, working alone can be a lot more time consuming because someone who works alone should work a lot harder in order to achieve something great. But, if you work alone, you are free to do as you please and this is the biggest advantage of working alone.

Working Alone, but...

If I had to pick one, I would pick working alone.

I personally enjoy the greater accountability, and having a bar set as high as I want it to be. It's challenging, but at the end of the day the fruits of your labor are yours.

However, I would admit that loneliness is a definite factor against it. Furthermore, there can be inefficiencies in solo work since there is nobody to complement your weaknesses.

In high School, groups because I was a solid below average student. It was more fun to socialize. In university... same thing, same reasons.

I guess, I prefer to work alone. I'm more effective working alone because I get to control what I do and the duration of it. I can plan it as well as the time of my work. I don't need to consider anybody because it's only me who will do the job.

Working in a group has its advantages. I like to work in a group as long as my group mates have the same opinions as I am. Because if we don't have them, there would be a clash of ideas and we won't be able to work as one. Also, two heads or more are better than one.

Wherever I work I don't make that decision. If my boss says it's a team effort, I work with the group. If my boss gives me a stand-alone project, I work alone. I'm cool either way.

Working in a group is better for developing your interpersonal skills, I think that's an important skill to have nowadays. It can also be fun sharing with other people, whereas you'll probably get bored easily if you work alone. Having someone besides you is always nice, if they're not unpleasant people, of course.

I prefer to work alone because of the freedom it affords me. I can set my own hours and take only projects that interest me. When I feel overwhelmed by my workload, I simply resell to another freelancer and I'm good to go

I prefer to work with a team. You can accomplish more jobs being in a team rather than working alone. Bothbhas its own benefits. It just depends on what kind of work load you have to finish.
