Warhammer 40k

Warhammer 40k
The dystopian futuristic franchise with epic battles from the dark future of mankind and other races. Demons are a constant threat , ancient mysteries from an age lost to the sands of time still lurk. The structures of civilizations are incomprehensible for an average mind. Ace card to top all that , Adeptus Astartes (aka Space Marines).

  • Powerful enemies and demons
  • Space Marines (Ultra Marines)
  • Epic Battles
  • Creative ideas for the evolution of civilization
  • Medieval like value system
  • Deep lore
  • Presents honestly the brutality of a war of that futuristic scale

  • No movies -Too little Video games
  • Mostly imagined through written lore
  • Chaotic lore to the newcomer
  • Sexual themes are virtually non-existent (and that is weird in a brutal universe)

Never been a fan of Star wars

I never got the hype of starr wars. The new movies are not keepin up with the cinematic and story plays of today. So I think I would vote on warhammer 40 k. The foundation of the stories are already there. A lot of plot twists and rich folklore could already make a s great movie. This one just needs to be give a chance.

Futuristic Marines

I like Warhammer 40K because of its cinematics and it's characters. Nothing beats a Marine in a big Armored Suit. It's a great game, I love playing it. Also the Game storyline is really awesome, I really like spending hours playing it with my kids.

Fresh Concept and Story Line

Star wars can be considered "classic" or all time best but it is already kind of tiring to play the same game story again and again. The story is becoming predictable. In playing new games, it is nice to have an open mind. Although there are weird content and scenes, it is very minimal to be considered a con. Warhammer 40k provides new challenges that star wars don't provide. It is always exciting to try something new.

Star Wars

Star Wars
A chaotic galaxy of races ready for exploration where many civilizations have risen and fell. The star wars galaxy has a rich history and lots of stories through comics , movies , series and games (even if those are being re-evaluated) and has also given birth to incredible space battles, the Jedi and the iconic lightsabers . Star wars is more focused on political struggles and the humans are more or less the same as humans today. Last but not least , star wars gave us Darth Vader.

  • Darth Vader (ultra villain)
  • Space Battles
  • Easier to relate to mindset
  • lightsabers
  • Use of the Force
  • Historical Medieval Sword-fighting styles are represented in Lightsaber combat
  • Many threads to start a story from

  • The stories start to get repetitive
  • New movies are mediocre
  • Too many mediocre video games
  • Difficult to be initiated to a newcomer because of the quantity of material
  • Hard to escape from the Light-Dark side axis value system

Relatable to the issues in society

Star Wars has always seemed quite real to me, and since the newer films have been out they focus on the conflicts that people encounter.

The classic good v evil is depicted and also the political struggles for power which we see in all nations here on earth.

Old great movies

Anyone that have been watching the Star Wars of old will agree with me that this is the type of movie that should be showing what is really happening in our society. You can't take this away from the people that always direct those movies on the way that they try to show almost what is happening in reality. The gaming is something that is also pretty okay as well as we can get to see its impact in our daily lives.

Star Wars

Star Wars. For one thing, lots of more interesting and intriguing personalities exist within a Star Wars future. Would make daily life a lot more vigorous.

The best of all time :)

For me, nothing will ever take the position of this movie for being the great futuristic movie of all time. There are lots of good movies today but this film was made way back ages when doing sci-fi things are not easy as today.

Can you really beat Star Wars when it comes to classics? The movies are iconic and there are lots of important themes that come through in them. It has to be Star Wars all the way for me - no question about it.

Star Wars

I think Star wars is better than the other one. Star Wars also is more popular and most famous movie. I liked Star Wars movie but I did not watch the complete movie series.

Star Wars for the win

I like the flow of the story of Star Wars. Eventhough sometimes it could be confusing, still, you can be caught up by the happenings in its story. I also like their costumes, especially the princess, I found it very cool. The fight scenes can also put a fire up into your nerves that could make you want to fight with them for peace.

May the force be with you.

Star Wars has always had a meaningful commentary on human nature without coming off preachy while keeping it relevant to the plot.

It is a melting pot of perspectives and gives us a smart and accurate look into the human condition with a futuristic coating surrounding it?.

May the force be with you...

I only know this.

I have to be ashamed, but truthfully speaking, I only know Star Wars. I don't know if I had heard the other one before, maybe I did, but I think it just passed by my ears. Star Wars franchise is really popular in our country. It is iconic and if there are other better movies than this with the same element, I think it still cannot top the legacy that Star Wars has printed through the years.

The most epic space opera

Star wars will always be my favorite sci fi related movie. I feel the lore and stories involved are way more expansive than warhammer, and provide a lot more entertainment.

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...

Star Wars most definitely. I binge watch the movies before May 4th and I'd watch the latest on May 4th. No I'm not a fan. I just like it a lot. Lol!

I don't think I have ever heard of Warhammer. That's because I am not much interested in sifi stories. Contrarily, I am not only familiar with Star Wars, but also watched a couple of movies in this franchise. I am not a fan of Star Wars though. The star war universe does not appeal to me, I cannot even follow the story.

I have also seen the first episode of Star Wars where Princess Leia was a young and beautiful woman while Han Solo was the dashing hero. To be honest I don’t fully remember what really happened because maybe I was mesmerized by the graphics of the movie because there was a robot and another robot plus the alien who looks like a yeti and some other characters that were new to me.

I haven't watched warhammer yet but, thanks for introducing that one to us. Star wars is my ultimate space-themed movies. I like how amazing the animations is, and the storyline is also great and very very interesting. In fact, my brother loves space concepts and he always treat us whenver there is a star wars movie available in cinema.

Never watch Warhammer yert but whatever it is I think it is interesting movie but Star Wars is known by many people because of its good movie reviews. This movie is for the whole family.
Posted by mark86 on 10-28-2018
I have heard of Warhammer, but the feel and thrill of it haven't sink on me yet. On the other hand, Star Wars is excellent as it has influences from various religions, mythologies, and cultural ideologies. Other movies give Star Wars such a broad perspective that speaks to people regardless of gender or cultural differences.

I haven’t heard of Warhammer 40k . I know of Star Wars. I not a fan of sci-fi genre. I did not really understand Star Wars maybe because I’m too young to know of it.
Posted by thejoyrevolution on 10-28-2018
So do I. I dont recall that it has this kind of movie before. It sounds new to me. I think this movie is good also but not better than Star Wars. Star Wars movie has been popular to everyone.
Posted by mark86 on 11-04-2018
Do that Warhammer really exist? I don't even heard or seen it even once. Then you are going to debate it with Star Wars? This is a joke right? He he. But seriously Star Wars is way too better than a movie that I've never seen or heard.
Posted by MomoStarr16 on 10-28-2018
I'm only familiar with Star wars, I haven't seen or heard about warhammer. I'm not totally an avid fan of star wars but I enjoy watching it when I was a kid.
Posted by vhinz on 10-28-2018
I have only watched the old original Star Wars trilogy and it was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. As children we were so amazed with the special effects because it was the best at the time. We were young and we didn't know it could get even better.
Posted by iambeth on 10-29-2018
I have watch both and they were great. However, star wars is an Iconic movies and books, so I choose star wars.
Posted by allyn2017 on 10-31-2018
It's great that you have watched both. I actually only know of Star Wars and have seen some of the movies. With your comment, I think I will not try to watch the other one. I might get disappointed.
Posted by theresajane on 11-09-2018
I liked Star Wars very much. I was fascinated by the story as well as the costumes of every character. They were awesome.
Posted by mark86 on 11-04-2018
I don’t think that the two can really be compared. I can understand comparisons such as that of Star Wars and Star Trek, but Warhammer 40k is really an entirely different entity. The universe is incredibly different in terms of its themes and content, so comparing the two is difficult. That being said, I still prefer the Star Wars universe. I’ve played some of the Warhammer 40k games but I could just never get into the lore as I never found it to be all that interesting. However, I was completely hooked on Star Wars ever since I watched the original trilogy as a kid.
Posted by Denis_P on 11-05-2018
I'm sorry, I only know Star Wars. I don't think I have heard the other one before. If I did, I must have forgotten about it. Star Wars franchise is really popular in our country. It is iconic and if there are other better movies than this with the same element, I think it will be hard to equal its charm.
Posted by theresajane on 11-06-2018
If we are talking of a game I guess I am ignorant especially with Warhammer which I have never heard before. If that is a movie I’d say Star Wars is one movie that has hit the most popular level during its time. In fact there is the sequel of Star Wars lately where Luke Skywalker is already an old man who came back to his origin and was chased by his enemies.
Posted by Corzhens on 11-06-2018
Star Wars for me I say. Ever since from my brothers this are the one they are talking about all the time until now like it never ends on their era. They even bought the toys and the lightsaber. So fun to watch them fighting while using those toys. So childish lol.
