We shouldn't just stand and wait for North Korea to do something
As many of you will know, North Korea have been developing nuclear weapons and they have done this while several different presidents and prime ministers have warned them not to. Trump has also been recently tweeting calling for North Korea to stop developing and testing these weapons and calling China to do something as well. But I think it's time that we stop trying to talk them out of it and take action. They obviously do not feel that the US are a big enough threat and that is why they are testing these new missiles. Someone, most likely Trump, needs to take action and get rid of this dictator, both for the safety of the rest of the world and his own people who are starving to death

We have to raise our voice against North Korea

North Korea has been showing bad in this world. NC is not following the united nation rules and regulations. NC is also not following the another nuclear powerful countries threat. They have to be gentle. If every nuclear country go for against the NC than they will get in trouble must. More over THAAD and many other radiation system available in this world which will be enough for deactivate the NC arms. We have to raise our voice against the NC so that they can follow the world rules and regulation.

Thanks Centuruion

North Korea's development of nuclear weapons is really a great threat not just to the US citizens, but also to the nearby countries and in the whole world. President Trump must take action on these to prevent the realization of this threat in the near future because as you can see, they are not listening to other world leaders.

Sad, hard realities.

I want to be clear in saying that as I see it there's no "right" answer. There's no course of action we can take which will not result in loss of life at this point. We owe that turd sandwich to the people in the past who kept kicking the North Korean can down the road for someone else to deal with.

Having said that, I agree we need to act in the Korean peninsula. War with North Korea will result in the retaliating, almost certainly on South Korea and possibly Japan as well. But if there's one group of people I whole heartedly believe would use nuclear weaponry, It's Kim Un. He must not be allowed the ultimate weapon for the good of all Asia, and for the good of the world. More people will die in that scenario than will if we make war preemptively, and to reiterate, I absolutely resent the people in the past who allowed this scenario to blow up in the world's face like this.

This is just another sad, hard lesson in what happens when you allow fear to dictate your actions.

War is more complicated than that

If you look in history, the US has poked its nose into where it shouldn't have and have been responsible for unnecessary wars.

While North Korea is unstable, one can keep and eye on them as the UN and NATO are, but it is not for any one country to decide to act alone. That is irresponsible and against the conventions that are in place to prevent another World War. I suggest any of you that think the US should take action read up on how the last two World Wars actually began...

Well, that just isn't how you go about anything, to be honest. If you just nuke a country on assumption or go to war with a country just because they also want nuclear weapons or any kind of weapons for that matter to assess themselves in the world, then the world would turn into a shitfest. If we applied the kill them before they kill us to life there would be nothing left to kill. I know Kim Jong Un is a bit batshit crazy, but if he wants to start a war with the US then let them at least initiate it so we aren't to blame for once.

Don't provoke.

It may be true that deep inside I would like something to be done about North Korea and ease the suffering of its people, but I do not see how that can be accomplished without bloodshed, for the time being. In my opinion, any provocations and escalations of conflict would result in devastating losses, predominantly to the people of North Korea. Not to mention that we're not entirely sure about their nuclear capabilities, so we have to tread lightly around a man with his finger on the trigger of a potential weapon of mass destruction.

It's easier said than done

We can't just provoke North Korea whenever we want to, out knowledge about the entire country is very little and we don't know what they have against us. Aside from that, we can't just go off killing people because we think they're bad, we're not cavemen anymore, we are reasonable people.

I sure disagree about this issue, U.S. may create high tensions between these two countries that in the end, it may end up in a war! A war is not a solution, talks and understanding may be a good choice. Still U.S. should keep talking and pressure North Korea to talks, otherwise, North Korea will think that U.S. does not see what are they doing!

I disagree with the war. I am all against handling it in a peaceful way, many countries should unite to think of solving the problem. Starting a war would be very dangerous and also we can't simply change the whole country overnight. There are millions of people that aren't used to the normal world and nobody would want to be responsible for taking of them, however bad that sounds. The problems with lack of progress all come from China and Russia who aren't explicitly against the govt in NK.

Creating a war will make many issues inside the United states, they may be ready for a war, but they are not ready to lose even 1 soldier.
Posted by Moaz on 07-21-2017

It's caused problems in the past

When we stick our noses in other countries' business we've tended to cause more issues than we solved. Look at what happened in the Middle East - we tried to get involved and institute leaders who were supposedly going to side with and support the United States, but they turned around and used the money and weapons we provided them with to carry out devastating attacks and pull us into a conflict we still haven't really finished with.

As much as we disagree with NK's policy interfering won't do much good. It will add tension if anything and we risk causing that which we are desperately trying to avoid which is a conflict.

I think it is not quite that simple. Undoubtedly Kim is hard to get to, but also there would be a huge power vaccum in North Korea, and no one knows how they would play out. The country would likely be in chaos..and having another country in chaos is probably not what the world needs right now.

I think this democratic politics has made it harder for people to judge korea. I am sure that they have their side of the story. And they have this system because people are speaking up. And they want dictatorship in their own country. So you can see that it's worth getting into understanding that media is what making things looks bad. So we have to learn how to change things that way.

My take on North Korea is it is just wanting in attention, world attention that is. Maybe it is showing off to China so China would give its support. When likened to people, North Korea is like a pauper in the streets who couldn't eat without the help of other people. And that kind of person would threaten us? I guess good old America should do some elbowing so that Korean leader Kim Jong Un would realize where his country really stands. They don't have anything and their armaments wouldn't even last a week if war breaks out. It's time to teach that young despot a lesson.

As of now , the government of North Korea is unclear why they're developing such technology. Without any hostile acts from North Korea's side, we should not do anything either. Insisting the North Korean government to stop manufacturing nuclear arms would generate conflict. Plus why stop North Korea when almost everyone else is make nuclear devices like it's from a DIY kit. If you going to ask them to stop, isn't it fair that your doing the same thing. Practice what you preach.

We should learn lessons from History. The world watched Hitler strenghtning the miliraty power, the world remain mum when Hitler developed weapons of mass destruction, the world did not react even when Hitler attacked Austria. The world became suspicious of Hitler only when he attacked France, Britina and Russia. We should not let same thing happen with North Korea.

I don't think we have to interfere with these countries if we are not a citizen of those said countries. I mean, sure they are having this conflict but I am thinking that they know, specially North Korea, what they are doing. But I always think that N.K's supreme leader is out of his mind. He keeps on making threats to any countries. Is that even a good characteristic of a leader?
Posted by galegatling on 07-09-2017
I don't agree that any single country or leader should be expected to take the war to North Korea nor it is easy to just simply eliminate King Jong Un. In spite the many sanctions implemented against North Korea, they have managed to slip past the intricate financial and economic web that have been designed to force the leader and isolationist country to heed international calls against developing and testing nuclear and ballistic missiles. This has got to be a world effort and the UN should have the political will and power to institute the sanctions and make it binding among all member nations.

IT is high time for the advanced countries to do something about the North korean dictator. if not he can do the unthinkable to cause more havoc to good and innocent loving humans around the world. HE has been killing some of his citizens and testing dangerous missiles that can wipe away some countries. It is not too late to take action against him.
Posted by babyright on 09-06-2017
In as much as I would agree that North Korea is taking too much, I definitely wouldn't be supporting attacking them first by the world powers. The reason for this that if something is done in a harsh manner it would end up resulting to suffering of the entire masses of North Korea and not their leaders.

We remembered what happened with Gaddafi, his pursuit, killing and removal from power by the US and it's allies have proved to be a wrong call today ad Libya has been very unstable till today. So therefore, I wouldn't want such to be the fate of North Korea as well. If it's possible to instigate a coup within their government and have him removed, it would be more better than going in red hot to fight him.

The sovereignty aspect of an independent nation is something every member nation of the world is looking at before deciding when it is right to attack North Korea. If it gets to that point where he has gone beyond some lines and violated the rules of United Nations, then they will do something about it.
Posted by Barida on 10-04-2017
For now, we can't do some necessary action since so far, North Korea only did was to threaten and haven't harmed any other countries yet. The world leaders can't do anything to stop them since they've done nothing wrong for now to us but once they do a mistake by launching a missile directly to us, that's the time that the government will take an action to eliminate them since they gave them the reason to be attacked.

With the recent developments in North Korea’s diplomatic relations, I guess this topic is now moot and academic. It looks like North Korea is now friendly with South Korea so there is no more threat of war. Moreover, North Korea is also diplomatic with the US that Trump had already met the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Trump even invited him to the White House.

Lol! Only people who have NEVER served, NEVER actually been in a COMBAT situation (our...heh..."president " qualifies for BOTH, only people like that are rah rah for "war". But you can bet " Baron" won't be among the KIA. Some of you people will believe ANYTHING! North Korea is the new bogeyman now! The new AK... America Killer. Back in the early 90's it was Saddam's "army". And how quickly was that dispatched by the " Coalition Forces"? Every time these people want to take your mind of what's REALLY going on they give you a new evil empire. Bread and circuses has worked for over 2,000 years! I'm "gullible" because I believe in God? Religion is the opiate of the masses? Yet I'm smart enough to know North Korea could be wiped out with the flick of a switch. Hell me and a few hard rocks from the Boogie Down and South Ozone Park could get it done in a week, lol! Smh...
