What are the best movies about vampires?
Since the early years of cinema, vampire have been a common theme in movies. The Vampire might be good or bad, and there are bad movies, there are good movies, and there are amazing movies. From Nosferatu, classic masterpiece of the old days, to Twilight, hated insult to the vampires... what are your favorites movies about those creatures?

I can't say that I very frequently watch vampires movies because I feel like that they've lost their quality once Twilight was released. It ruined people's perception of the vampires... and now many movies in that genre are all too cheesy and predictable.

Anyway, my favorite vampire movies are:

  • Dracula,
  • Interview with the Vampire,
  • Let Me In,
  • Dracula Untold.
Those are all worth watching and stand out among the rest :)

I think I've seen several good vampire movies. But one of the movies I liked the most was John Carpenter's Vampires. I found the story very interesting.

I love Interview With A Vampire, it is my favorite vampire movie. I read the book and watched the movie. I also like The Lost Boys, it would have to be my second favorite. My sisters and I watched it over and over growing up.

I forgot about Dusk Til Dawn--I think Quinten Tarantino had something to do with that film? Anyway, I liked the Bram Stoker's Dracula with Gary Oldman as the vampire. He was amazing in that role, and I thought they did a good job on that film visually. I also have enjoyed Interview With A Vampire, and I love Anne Rice's books.

I think my favorite is Bram Stoker's Dracula. I loved Gary Oldman in it, but then again I think he is a great actor. I liked Interview with a Vampire too, but I think I like the books better because I really am not a Tom Cruise fan. John Carpenter's Vampires was a good movie too. I don't like the Twilight series, but then I am not a teenaged girl either. I don't remember any of the other vampire movies that I have seen but I don't think they were better than the ones I listed.

John Carpenter's Vampires is very good. I was really scared when I watched this movie in my childhood.

My favorite vampire movie of all time would be “Let Me In” and “Interview With a Vampire”. Those 2 movies have this unique story line that made me think for a few seconds and ask myself, what type of movie am I watching. It was not one of your typical vampire movies that they need to fight to live or they are hunted. It was a story of emotion, their feelings. What it is to be like them and how do they cope up with these obstacles and I find this appealing.

The first vampire movie that I watched was Dracula. IT had Keneu Reeves in the lead. I liked the movie very much. It is one of my best vampire movies. Another vampire movie that I like very much is An interview with vampire which as Tom Cruise in the lead. I never liked twilight saga.

Haha, you're exactly like me. I even wrote it in the comment that once Twilight came along the vampire movies just went down the hill. I think that Twilight completely changed how the vampire movies are made and perceived. I used to enjoy vampire movies but now I don't even bother watching them.

Well, I know that so many people would hate my answer but my favorite one is Twilight. Let be clarify that I haven't seen a lot of vampire movies, this one catch my eye because it's a beautiful story (at the beginning) that shows how you could be in love with someone that you know you can't have, but even though you take the risky to love no matter what. The most of the people could talk that it's not a good movie, they just don't remember how popular it was and how much it sold.

One that is really good and is a B movie is "Blood and Donuts". It is sort of cheesy, but the vampire in it is pretty bad a$$. There is a scene in the donut shop where he changes, and it is probably the best scene in the movie. Very well done and great characters.

I think Dracula Untold and "Let the right one in" are two movies which were about Vampires. As you can see those movies had a good story plot. And many people found those stories really good on many counts. I personally think that those twilight movies were not worth it any way. That being said, you can see that most of the vampire movies such as underworld are a bit exaggerated.

The best movie with a vampire is “Interview With a Vampire”, this movie is a classic one and Tom Cruise is the master. At the beginning of the movie, I thought that I'm losing my time but in time that the movie was rolling I knew that the movie is one of the best of its times. It really worth the time, and I think there are a lot of vampire movies but none will compare to this one!

My favorite vampire drama/series is the Hong Kong drama "My Date With a Vampire". It's not a horror drama and it portrays vampires in a completely different way. It's one of the most popular dramas in Hong Kong. I watched it when I was younger and loved it. When I watched it again as an adult, I understood the story better and was able to enjoy the drama even more. I don't know if there are English subtitles available online, but if anyone gets the chance, this is definitely a drama I'd recommend.

Blade were also good vampire movies I've ever watched. Fright Night 1985 was also a great classic of my era.

I'm glad nobody voted for Twilight. My personal favorite is "Let me In". The story is thought provoking and the atmospherics are just perfect. The keeps you thinking, and you immediately get attached to the characters and even towards Chloe Moretz who's supposedly the vampire of the movie. You don't know how you feel about Chloe until the end of the story, where you realize the kind of manipulation she does on kids in order to serve her purpose. And yet she is never portrayed as the villain of the story despite her being the vampire of the story. It wasn't even disclosed if she was a vampire of not. Everything was just like a figure of speech to me and that's what makes it top of my list.

I am a fan of vampire fiction and lore, not only in film, but also in books. As such a fan, I have seen many vampire movies over the years. However, I do have one all time favorite. Since it first appeared on screen when I was a teenager, I have always loved "Bram Stokers Dracula". Not only was it a beautifully made vampire movie on a classic tale, but it was a forbidden romance story and one of the ultimate love stories. What girl wouldn't want a man that loves her so much he's willing to defy everything he believes in and exist for centuries just for the chance to one day be able to love her again? Wow, talk about a love story! Beyond the love story, I also rather enjoy the way vampires are portrayed in the film, it's not glamorous or overly gritty, it just has its own kind of realism to it.

I remembered another vampire movie that I watched a while ago and I really enjoyed it. It's called 30 Days of Night. A good suspense!

My first vampire movie I watch is Dracula and this one scared me a lot when I was a kid. I have watch interview with the vampire, blade, underworld, priest, twilight and others that I forgot the title. I can't remember other vampire movies but one thing for sure I love to watch them and also werewolf.

I like the early ones like Dracula and The Lost Boys and the not so early ones like Blade and Underworld. Since then, I haven't seen the admission of a good vampire movie. Considering the predictability of Hollywood and the movie making industry though sooner or later some version of the creatures will evolve. There the subjects that roam in the night will make it's debut at a movie theater near you to make one last thrilling, blood sucking, incredulous standoff for the vampires that seemed to have subsided as creatures that walk upon the night sky.

I guess I haven't seen that many vampire movies at least in recent years. I have liked the Twilight movies though. They are the ones that get many modern people interested in vampires. These are just some of the best movies around actually, if you can see a good one. These are great movies that I like and can make use of.

I have really enjoyed Interview with the Vampire and Only Lovers Left Alive. I liked those movies because they show that romantic and beautiful side of monstrous creatures of the night. I know this sounds like a goth cliche, but vampires done right can be a thing of dark beauty. :)

I love watching any kind of movies or dramas that involve vampire, it just never grows old. My first-ever movie that I watched was Dracula, it was just an interesting movie to watch. I also watch all the series of Twilight, my all time favorite movie.

I love to read and watch movies about vampires. I really liked Bram Stoker's Dracula, Interview with the Vampire (I love Anne Rice's books) and The Lost Boys. I watched Nosferatu when I was little and even though it was a black and white film it was scary to my 7 year old self. I hate Twilight with passion (books and movies). It was the first time I seriously considered burning a book and I really love books.

I'm not really that much of a fan of vampire movies, but I did enjoy Interview With the Vampire. I wouldn't actively seek it out and watch it again, or at least probably not that much, but I'd be okay watching it again maybe one or two more times. I also liked the Lost Boys and I'd also probably watch that again too another time or two. Otherwise I think I'd just watch something else in a genre that I prefer.

I'm a big fan of the Twilight saga. I have read the 4 books and I have seen the 5 movies. From the book, i like the choice of words used by the author. The movie was waaay epic because of the chemistry of the actors and how they actually fit in the description of the book. The plot was excellent and cinematography were all A. I like how Robert Pattinson and Kirsten made it look very real. How I wish there will be another kind like that of the Twilight saga.

Twilight series is kind of a decent one but the movie adaptation ruined the books' integrity. Out of all the installments, I only enjoyed the first one compared to the latter releases as I've expected more.

The best vampire movie I have watched is called "The Gate". The movie actually has several spillover of supernatural or mythical creatures such as vampires, werewolves, succubus, witches, etc.

It is actually a series movie and only the season 1 is out. I have been waiting for season 2 up till this moment and nothing yet has shown. I just hope they produce it and put it out for people soon.

For me, I do love most of the vampire movies like Dracula Untold, Twilight, Underworld, Interview with a Vampire, Queen of the Damned, and Blade. They all have a unique story about vampire existence and how their power works. They all have their own unique qualities and origins on how they became a vampire. But the most movie that I really like to watch over and over again is Dracula Untold and Twilight.

Dracula is the most popular vampire in our country when I was a girl. In fact, we didn’t know that Dracula was a vampire but just another scary character with his own identity. My father said that the actors who played the role of Dracula were carefully chosen that only good actors were selected for the role. Maybe he is right because I have read in one magazine that Dracula movies are always classic.

My favorite movie about vampires are many but I would try my best to list few of them which are good to a reasonable extent, that should I rate how good they are, all of them would get 8/10 rating. They include :

  1. Vampire Dairies
  2. True Blood
  3. The Originals
  4. Blade
  5. Dracula
  6. From Dusk Till Dawn
