What is the best Christmas movie?

Christmas will be here before we know it. And with that, a lot of us watch movies that are geared towards the holiday. It may be a cartoon, such as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer or Frosty the Snowman. Or perhaps you would rather watch The Grinch with Jim Carey? Maybe you like Christmas Vacation? Whatever you like, there is a reason for it. Please take the time to vote for your favorite Christmas movie and then comment why you picked it.

Elf for me! I like to call it a modern classic since it was not all that long ago (in the grand scheme of things) that it was released. Will Ferrell is hilarious too!

Nightmare Before Christmas of course. Jack has always been my favorite ever since I watched that movie a few years ago.

I loved the Home Alone. It is a great pass time for me and I do not miss it when it is aired on the television. There is a lot of humor associated in the movie and I could not resist laughing at almost every scene.

I love "Home Alone". But, I can still remember myself loving "Grinch" when I was still young. It's such a perfect Christmas movie for me back then.

My choice is "A Christmas Story." It has so many funny, memorable moments that make me laugh every time I watch it. My favorite scenes are:

  • Ralphie swearing while he's changing a flat tire with his dad and the punishment that follows.
  • Ralphie's brother not being able to put his arms down in his snowsuit.
  • "Don't forget to drink your Ovaltine."
  • The lamp the father wins in a contest.
  • Ralphie's fantasy about his teacher reading his homework on what he wants for Christmas.
  • Ralphie wearing his pink bunny suit that his aunt gave him for Christmas.
  • The family eating Christmas dinner at the Chinese restaurant after the neighbour's dogs destroy their turkey.
  • The eccentric kid waiting in line to see Santa Claus.
  • "You'll shoot your eye out."
So many classic scenes in this movie. I love every minute!

I just do not think that I can pick one movie. There are so many great Christmas movies that it is just so hard to pick one. I think that the kid in me would say one of the cartoons. But as a child, I liked Home Alone as well. The first one was the best movie out of that series.

There are so much Christmas-themed movies that I enjoy watching may it be cartoons or not. I just like watching those films as Christmas eve draws near.

You have some of my very lovely Christmas movies up there I like Elf, white Christmas, rudolf red nose reidneer, jingle bells but I love home alone more. The storyline is fascinating to me.

I would go with home alone that film is a classic and every Christmas we always rewatch that film every Christmas Eve with my younger brother and sister. Watching that film as a grown-up I can say that it's kinda silly but still, it never ceases to make me smile.

Home Alone is a Christmas classic and it is always on during the holidays. There's just something about parents leaving kids alone that, Oh wait, what's that? That's not what the movie is all about? Oh right! The kid outsmarting the bad guys over and over just brings a smile to my face. I thought it was funny back then and wouldn't you know it, its till funny to me now! It will make you laugh and giggle then it will pull on you heart strings before it ends.

There are a few on this list that could make my Faves List but, I picked "A Christmas Carol" because ... it's tradition! We have to see Scrooge transform every Christmas! It's what that holiday is about. Changing the hearts of men to promote love, joy, peace and goodwill.

I have seen so many Christmas movies but what comes to my mind is the first version of Home Alone. The little boy was a smart aleck that he was able to outwit the criminals. But that’s not really what was adorable in that movie. It was the family trip for their short Christmas vacation. It was just unfortunate that the little boy got lost somehow that he was left to be alone in their home for Christmas.

It just has to be Home Alone for me. Home Alone is one of the greatest Christmas movies you will watch just because of how famous it became and how iconic it is during the holiday seasons. One thing that I have notice during the holidays is that most people would recognize this movie and you know it is the holiday season when they start showing this movie again on the T.V.

Charlie brown Christmas, hands down. It's the reason why we got other beloved Christmas specials like how the Grinch stole Christmas and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It set the standard for what Christmas movies and specials are for decades.
