What is your favorite kind of omelet?

Every Sunday, my husband makes us omelets for breakfast. He is the king of omelets. I never could make a very good omelet. But his are amazing. They are really thin and he can get the outsides of them crispy. We always have a different kind of omelet and he always makes sure that they are loaded with toppings, especially cheese. We eat them with toast, usually jelly toast that we vary from apple to peach or raspberry and more.

The omelets are always delicious. I can never finish a whole one as he makes them so full. We have had a variety of omelets. They include:

Those are just a few of our favorites. Which one is your favorite?

Give me that ham and cheese omelette! I did grow up eating omelettes that my dad would make in the mornings on the weekend, and he typically gravitated toward ham and cheese as the fillings. I don't cook them very often on my own, but I still like to have them every once in a while when I go out.

You sound like my husband that whenever we would have breakfast in the hotel when we travel he would opt for ham and cheese omelet. According to him the ham and cheese omelet is the simplest form that you can make at home. It is also delicious and can be considered a healthy breakfast with the buttered toast and milk. For me I prefer a merry mix of the greens that the chef in the restaurant has.

Before now I really used to like the omelette with cheese and ham,it was like a morning tonic to me,I eat it. without apologies until I needed to lose weight and I realize I needed more healthy toppings so I switch to veggie, sprinkled with tiny mushroom and it has been that way for me.I really enjoy it tough. The image up there is really pleasant to the eyes by the way.

I love all kinds of omelets. They're just so damn delicious! I didn't know how to make them until a few months ago when I watched a YouTube "guide". Ever since then I'm the biggest fan. My favorite toppings are probably ham and cheese because the cheese melts so nicely and the two ingredients compliment each other very well.

When I was still a kid my favorite kind of omelet was cheese omelet. I now enjoy eating different kinds of omelets and I don't really have any favorite kind of omelet. I am always looking for new recipes and I once even tried to cook an omelet in the microwave and it came out wonderfully. I love eating eggs for breakfast. They are so filling.

I like them as long as they aren't too rubbery and over done, but you don't want them overcooked either that they turn into hard scrambled eggs. I like filling cooked with the omelet and not added as a filling just before cooking finishes because I find the fillings are never quite cooked properly.

I have to admit that a good ol' ham and cheese omelette from the local Waffle House really does hit the spot sometimes! It is a decadent treat for me, but I love it, and i like to splash a little hot sauce on their too. I also like to order a bacon and cheese and green pepper omelette from there with some wheat toast on the side. The egg is a perfect delivery vehicle, especially in the sense of the omelette, for so many different food combinations that it really is hard just to pick one favorite!

I love any and all things that involve vegetables, so of course I picked the veggie lovers omelet. Not only are these the tastiest omelets, in my opinion, but they are also the easiest to make. Typically when I make myself an omelet, I finely dice some onions along with red and green bell peppers, throw in some chili peppers for some spice, and add in some spinach and mushrooms as well. I steam the veggies for a little while so they're nice and tender but still have some crisp to them, and then wrap it all up in the omelet at the last minute to keep the vegetables still crispy.

I love the classic ham and cheese omelet. When I first started cooking, eggs were my most used ingredient and I just loved making omelettes, especially the ham and cheese version.

We have special omelet here that we call leftovers but it’s not really leftover because the ingredients are always fresh. Sliced cucumber without the seeds, fry it until slightly brown then mix the sliced green tomatoes followed by the sliced white onions. And then you add the egg. But you can also add a dash of salt and pepper if you prefer but otherwise that omelet is very good for me. Just a little ketchup will go well with buttered toast and orange juice.

This is one of the best meal one can take in the morning in a way to spice up the day and one thing that I like about omelets is the unique take that make one desire more of it. When I was staying with mom, I always enjoy taking most of the ones prepared by her and even go to the extent of asking my brothers to give me from theirs and it's for no other reason rather than she makes it to look special and delicious in a way that you can't get it from any other place.

I really enjoy omelts of any kind. You can add anything to them. No two ever have to be the same. It all depends on my mood and how hungry I am and of course what ingredients I have on at the time. No matter what omelet I choose I like to top it with a chucky salsa. It just makes it all the better.
Posted by Sue on 03-03-2018
I voted for ham and cheese as it is a go to if I'm in the mood for an omelet. Another favorite filling is fried mushrooms and spinach with feta. Most of the time I don't eat eggs for a meal, or if I do, they're fried sunny side up and put into a sandwich or on toast with a side of bacon or sausage.

Most of the people voted for ham and cheese, I don't eat ham, therefore, I voted for veggie lovers. Actually, I like mix omelet. The one made by mixing tomato, onion, coriander leaves and some spices. I have not heard of many of these omelet varieties.

i love a good ham and cheese omelette. There is something really delicious about it. Maybe I will make one tomorrow. I am thinking this might be really good. I might make some grits too. Something different and something warm for breakfast. I love all types of omelettes though. I can't think of any that I don't like.
Posted by kgord on 03-03-2018
I'm not really an omelet type of person, as each time I've had one I haven't really been that impressed. With that being said, the meat lovers and ham and cheese are the most edible in my opinion, based on personal tastes.

I think those Spanish omelettes are definitely worth having. Also I came across some of Pakistani shami burgers. I have loved their way of making it. And they seem to be adding the cheese and the other vegetables on the top. And they give you bread with it. So it kind of feels good to eat that.

Onion Omelette: A "hand in the wheel" for those days when you do not have the time (or a lot of patience) to cook. Even for those moments when the refrigerator opens and there is nothing there but eggs. The recipe is simple, delicious, versatile and nutritious.

Omelette with cream: Easy recipe, which gives a better texture to the omelette due to the use of the cream. In addition to eggs and sour cream, you will use only salt and pepper, chives or parsley and a spoonful of unsalted butter.

I love my omelettes with cheese, ham and onions. Not very exciting but that's how i like them. The perfect compliment for eggs is onions in my opinion because they enhance the flavor. I eat eggs all the time I can eat them all week for every meal. What makes this repetition bearable is adding onions and cheese because they completely change the 'eggy ' flavor. However the advantage of omelettes is that they are versatile. Sometimes I enjoy my eggs with bacon or little pieces of meat.

I like to eat meat lovers which is usually cooked with ground pork or beef with slices of bacon, hams, and sausages or chorizos it has no vegetables only hot chilies. This kind of omelette is pure meat power it has a lot of protein that gives me energy.

Omelettes are a great meal. They are quick and easy to make and there are many different varieties to choose from. They are nice with either a salad or with chips and beans. I used to like mushrooms and cheese in my omelettes. Now I find that they are too greasy for me to enjoy like I used to. I think my pallet has changed.
Posted by JMS on 03-07-2018
You can't go wrong with ham and cheese. They are always the right kind of taste for every hungry people. No one hates that taste. One of the best combination ever made here on earth. If I wake up with this omelettes, feels like my day was complete.

My mom knows I like omelets for breakfast. I love cheesy omelet. I do like a flavorful cheese -.My favorite currently is Cheddars in the 2 year age bracket. I think omelets are a great way to showcase cheese if you don't want to eat it plain or with crackers because they are simple and don't muddle the cheese flavor.
Posted by cess_08 on 03-07-2018
When I make Omelettes, I use potatoes. White onions, bellpeppers and ground pork to create a delicious pork omelette. I like it spicy so I always put chopped chilies in it. This is best eaten with ketchup as a sandwich or with rice.
Posted by Kakashi2020 on 03-22-2018
When there's a lot of onions, I make onion and cheese Omelettes, it's so delicious. It's made by beating several eggs with some milk along with onions rings then mixing it with grated cheese and frying it. Its lighter to eat than other variants of Omelettes.

I love ham and cheese omelets and i do prepare them my self, its actually a meal for all and its a best seller for my family. Although i don't usually go for other toppings mainly because i haven't tried it. But looking at your list, i will make it a go specially when the ingredients is basically on your list...Great menu.

I normally have omelets which are prepared with onions, chilis, and a little bit of cheese. I also like my omelets to be soft and crispy.

I like cheesy omelets. I don't know why. I just do. I enjoy having hearty meals in the morning. That's why I can finish more than one omelet especially, if it tastes great. You're lucky if you have someone who can cook omelets perfectly.

Unfortunately I can't eat them as I'm allergic to eggs - they are however one of my husband's favorite dishes and especially the traditional ones that we make here.

Which are always thick tortilla/frittata style - generally crammed full of virtually every kind of vegetable, meat or seafood imaginable and huge too - almost the size of a large pizza - usually eaten - either hot or cold - in large/chunks on their own or sandwiched between two pieces of crusty baguette.

I will always happily eat a ham and cheese omelette because of how tasty they are. You just can't go wrong with a simple ham and cheese omelette. I like my omelette's to be quite cheesy as well even if it isn't a ham and cheese omelette so I usually overload it with cheese which oozes out sometimes (and it's just a beautiful sight lol). I haven't ever tried putting any other type of meat really (except bacon which I have done a few times)
Posted by kingcool52 on 04-12-2018
I like an omelette that has meat and vegetables in it, not too many of both though. Only one type of meat that's cut in small pieces and the vegetables shouldn't be too big either, maybe just something green to make it look better and have a certain freshness to it.

I like Crab Omelettes whenever I get tired of eating Meat and Potato Omelettes. Crab Omelettes are lighter and is very tasty it's cooked with lots of scallions and onions and some cheese. Another Omelette I like during the summer season is Fish Fillet Omelettes it's like boneless fish fillets of grouper coated with eggs and cheese.

I picked “veggie lovers” because one time a friend took me out to a restaurant and I ordered a mushroom omelet. I didn't tell them that it was my first time. That mushroom omelet was fantastic!! The only thing extra that I would have added that the omelet lacked was spinach. I looked up a recipe in case anybody wants to try it. https://www.bbcgoodfoo.../cheesy-mushroom-omelette

I enjoy omelet with a variety of fillings and toppings. We have ham and cheese as the standard omelet for breakfast but for special days, we go for sliced button mushrooms and/or ground meat. On rainy days, we've had canned sardines or tuna fillings. Veggie omelet isn't as popular in my household. I haven't tried pizza omelet but it sounds interesting and it could be a favorite with pizza-loving kids. We've also tried omelet with hotdog, sausage, or bologna and the just kids loved them.

I cook omelet for my family and I admit that I'm not really good at cooking. Therefore, the kind of omelet that I serve to my family is just a simple one. I just put some bell peppers, onions, tomatoes ham or bacon, and cheese. I think it looks like a pizza but I put bell peppers a lot to make it more look like a veggies omelet.

I like having everything in it including ham, cheese, onions, mushrooms and peppers. It's always what I order whenever I'm at a hotel or buffet and it's offered. Sometimes I'd eliminate one or two ingredients to simplify it a bit but I rarely go for any other type of omelette like just having ham and cheese or just vegetables. I always get all these ingredients as long as they are available.

I do really love ham and cheese on my omelettes. I love the texture and smokiness or sweetness from the ham and the creaminess from the cheese. For me, ham and cheese are the best combo for omelettes and sandwiches. Very simple but very satisfying for my palette.
Posted by MiaManimbo on 08-23-2018
Ham and cheese is a classic combination. You can't go wrong with it in general. I'd be happy to have it for breakfast any time of the day.

All of these kinds of omelet are just wonderful! But my favorite is ham and cheese. I love cheese and ham since I was a kid and this food reminds me of my childhood. My mom was always making this omelet and I miss it. The veggies are also great for a healthier meal. I think I can combine the veggies with ham and cheese to perfect my omelet.

Ham and cheese omelet is my favorite. Very delicious and easy to prepare.
Posted by mark86 on 10-19-2018
Well when it comes to omelets, my one and only favorite has to be the simple Egg omelet which I have been eating regularly since my childhood. It is very easy to prepare and even small children can prepare it. Just whisk the eggs, add veggies to it, add some salt pepper to it and then fry it from both sides on a pan adding little oil and that's it you can eat it with ketchup and bread and it tastes amazing
Posted by jpk0007 on 10-22-2018
Simple omelet is good for me. Sometimes adding too much ingredients lose the real taste of the foods.
Posted by mark86 on 11-03-2018
Meat and Veggie is simply the best of both worlds for me; you get the saltiness from the meat and the refreshing taste from the vegetables; to add on to this answer, I love pouring (literally) hot sauce and hot spice flakes on my omelet to get my sinuses going. I suppose you could say I like to look like I've ran 5 miles by the time I've finished my omelet.
Posted by EffectSix on 11-05-2018
Wow, those are fantastic variations, and there's a lot of them. Hats off to the husband for coming up with the menu. I'll go with the meat and veggies please as I think it will taste the best among the rest.

I love omelettes. I like it with ha and cheese. It is easy to make and it also taste delicious. I love all omelettes but ham and cheese are just the best for me.
Posted by thejoyrevolution on 11-11-2018
Have you guys tried the egg with sardines? It is like a scrambled egg with sardines. If you eat sardines then you will definitely love it. These two ingredients are perfect to combine. There is no need to add salt or any condiments. The taste is just great!
Posted by superlicca on 11-15-2018
I love all omelets. They are soft, golden in color, nutritious and rescues you when you need to prepare a quick breakfast. With this dish, our childhood memories are brought back to life, and you will find it in any hotel in the world. However, my favorite is the Spanish omelet because it is extraordinarily diverse and combines great with vegetables, herbs, and seafood, which makes it even tastier.
Posted by mcnasci24 on 11-15-2018
I love omelets! Actually I like every one of them but the one that I like the most is omelet with lots of cheese. I love cheese and incorporating it with omelets is like a dream come true. I could eat it as snack and I could eat it with rice Especially when the cheese is mozzarella, that's the best thing that I ever ate so far.
Posted by ajahcuizon on 11-23-2018
Omelet is the best! Especially when the filling is ham and cheese you really get that creamy and juicy flavor of it. It really is a nice and warming food to eat especially in the morning.
