What's your favorite Christmas meal?
One thing that is very common with every Christmas season is preparation of several meals, meat and drinks. In fact, in my opinion, if food is excluded from Christmas celebrations, then it's not really a Christmas holidays.

Over here, rice is the most commonly prepared Christmas meal. Some still prepare meat pepper soup, pounded yam, soup etc.

I love menudo, spaghetti and ham during Christmas season but my favorite is my mother's fruit salad. It becomes a tradition of our family to make fruit salad every Christmas and New Year. Sometimes we don't have so much food at the table during Noche Buena but we really don't care as long as there is my mother's fruit salad. After my mother passed away three years ago, my sister continue the tradition in the family.

Ham is indeed like a must-have during Christmas seasons. I like hams especially when they are paired with great tasty sauce.

Seems like they are the perfect enjoyable dish for you during that period. Sauce can make foods to be incredibly tasty which adds on to the spice that the individual meal already has without additives.

There is a certain bread made over a frying pan on these sides known as the chapati. It is the number one cooked meal in most homes especially during the festive season.

Oh my goodness, I am really excited for Christmas, especially with what's on the table in that special occasion. Well, I would like to see and eat Mango Float, Fruit and Macaroni Salad, and of course, Spaghetti. Those are my all-time favorites.

The fruit lover. A lot of the meals that you have posted above are unfamiliar to me but I can get some idea from the manner that they are named. However I am used to eating some good and tasty spaghetti.

My mother in law will be cooking some delicious cultural food that I don't know how to pronounce. She is the best. Her favorite activity is cooking, and she likes to see how she can vegan-ize all of her and her family's favorite dishes for me. I think this is what Heaven is like.

Hahahahahaha. seems like you will be having such an amazing period. It is the goal of the festive season after all as when you fail to have fun with your family and friends then you have not lived to the truth of the holiday.

I prefer the chicken and the vegetable salad. I think combination of fried chicken and the vegetable salad often makes the health issues less troublesome in that case. I think on that note I'd say that Christmas meal can be properly consumed. I'd say some people can have proper meal and decide what and what not can be done in that case. We try to do home meal if possible as that is good for the body.

Cinnamon buns! We do sweet rolls for dinner Christmas Eve but use the search dough to roll cinnamon buns. Always make extra glaze cause it is delicious. We actually make the first batch in early December for friends and family but we have fresh ones Christmas morning.

Oh man for me it’s probably plum pudding and custard! It’s something I look forward to every festive season, in part probably because I only eat it over the holidays so there’s some sentimental feelings there too!

I am a vegetarian so anything vegetarian should do me good. Christmas cakes and buns are a good choice. In addition to these, I eat chocolates, cakes, pies, muffins and cookies a lot during the festival season because they are priced low and available in plenty at all major outlets.

Being in the Philippines, my favorite Christmas meal would be my parents' Filipino-style sweet spaghetti partnered with Filipino-style spring rolls, or as we call it, lumpiang shanghai. It's something I look forward to every year! It doesn't really like Christmas without these dishes.

Christmas is the season of celebrating the birth of Jesus! As a form of celebration for this glorious season, the variety of delicious foods are being served at the table. But we must admit, we got our eye on our own favorite Christmas food! As for me, I love the cake! The different year with different cake flavors being served, it doesn't matter! I loved them all! They represent the sweetness and rewarding feeling as to Jesus is offered to us especially by our Father just to save us all! And that is the sweetest!

I do not know if you people have heard about sarma. That is my favorite Christmas meal. My grandmother prepares it for every Christmas. It is basically a mixture of cabbage and meat. It is our traditional meal and everyone in our country loves it. And also, I love to drink coca cola with sarma. That is a great combination. Come on Christmas, come already! I am hungry!

I don't know if it's Christmas food per say, but roasted duck with mashed potatoes and gravy. Can't think of anything more festive and delicious! Also - not a food, but we make a Christmas Sparkling Sangria at home, definitely lifts the spirits up.
