Whatsapp

Whatsapp
Whatsapp is an Android and IOS app developed and launched 2009. In 2014 the company was bought by Facebook for almost 20 billion dollars, a huge sum that can only be explained given the fact that its user database was around 1 billion.

Whatsapp is the most popular app for sending messages on smartphones in the world bigger than Facebook's Messanger app. I think this is the reason why Facebook acquired Whatsapp, to make sure it doesn't become a direct competitor in the social media arena.

I personally start using Whatsapp a few years ago ever since I discovered that sending messages online is cheap and way practical than sending old school SMS. I have unlimited internet traffic on my smartphone so I can send as many Whatsapp messages as I like. I think Whatsapp is superior compared with Facebook Messanger.

Pros
  • Is more practical than the SMS services.
  • You can send voice messages.
  • You can send video messages.
  • You can send pictures and file attachemnnts at full size and quality
  • You can easily create chat groups and have loads of fun with people you know on certain topics.

Cons
  • No everybody is using Whatsapp as default, messaging app. Some people still prefer Facebook Messanger and having both messaging apps plus other social media apps on your smartphone can be annoying.

I vote for Whatsapp.

Because it is such a convenient apps to use from, easy user interface with so many great function like fast-messaging, video calls, etc. But what i like is that, it rarely lag when lots of notification arrived, unlike Messenger who's often lag or crashed when opening it.

new Jersey WhatsApp

This app has over 10 million active users , the edge that made this app spread really fast was its ability to stream while consuming less that, that's why WhatsApp can function properly even in regions with poor network connection. The number of active user on WhatsApp is more than that in any other massaging app, WhatsApp has a great interface for WhatsApp lovers. I use the app and even with availability of other apps , I still find this one effective.

Watsapp for me!!!

Watsapp is the best for me.It is fast and effective than facebook messenger i guess. The interface is simple, but it allows all functions needed. Watsapp rarely lags and crashes.sometimes I get lots of watsapp notifications, but it never crash or lag.But fb messenger crashes more frequently than watsapp. So I prefer watsapp.

The best

This was a rather easy choice for me. I have both of the mentioned applications installed on my phone but I have to admit that I use Whatsapp 90% of the time.

Whatsapp is the best messaging app that I have ever used. It's easy, fast, nothing complicated. It even works amazingly for video calls! I highly recommend it.

Whatsapp

I prefer WhatsApp because it is lighter and works perfectly on my smartphone. Also, not everyone has a Facebook account, so for me Facebook is not very viable.

Facebook Messenger

Facebook Messenger
Facebook Messenger was initially released in 2011 after Facebook felt the popularity Whatsapp was starting to earn. At first is was part of the overall Facebook app but back in 2014 Facebook decided to split the two and make Messanger independent from the main Facebook app.

At the moment Facebook Messenger is available from most popular smartphone platforms besides Android and IOS.

Despite the fact that I think Whatsapp is way better than Facebook Messanger I think this is my most used app. Because most of my friend choose to communicate via Facebook Messenger I'm forced using this app more than I want too. On my first smartphone, I used to use the Lite version of the app because my phone was very slow to load with very low specs.

Pros
  • It's directly synced in with your main Facebook account. You can start a conversation with your Facebook friends, from the Facebook app and you will be immediately redirected to the Facebook Messenger.
  • This app is very popular and almost everyone that haves a Facebook account and a smartphone has the app installed.
  • You can send both videos messaged and audio messages.
  • You can send files, photos, and videos to a certain degree.

Cons
  • If you want to send pictures the quality will be diminished on Facebook Messager. This won't happen on Whatsapp.
  • Facebook Messenger has a whole history of bad updates that only made things more complicated for the users.

Facebook Messenger

I've been using this app every day to contact my family and relatives. It's much easier for me to get in touch with them and to chat with them. I do have lots of groups that's been save on my messenger. I almost don't use my prepaid load since I can use this app for as much as I want. I also like to play their games and I do find it entertaining. This is truly helpful for me.

I've never been tried to use Whatsapp and since no one in my family, friends or relatives is using this app, there's no way for me to even try this.

I think whatsapp is lot easier and you can make some decent money through it. I have found that whatsapp can be good enough for local chat. And some people are also using it as an alternative to international chat. And with the video and voice feature, I am guessing it is replacing almost every people around. So yeah for what it's worth whatsapp is lot better. You should prefer that over facebook. But for those who want social experience can choose facebook instead.

I use both, but more frequently Facebook Messenger for chatting, it works good enough and I rarely have issues with it. For video calls, I like to use WhatsApp, it has better quality and the connection is more stable for that task, that's why I use it for this particular thing. Both, in my opinion, are good but in their own ways.

I have never used Whatsapp. When Whatsapp was launched and became popular, I was already using Viber and Messanger. Therefore, I never felt the necessity of using Whatsapp.

I used to have Whatsapp in my phone. But when it broke down and I bought a new one, I forgot about it. Right now I am using Facebook messenger which serves its purpose although I know that Whatsapp has more good functions particularly the news notifications. My friends in Facebook also use the chatting function so it is not easy to shift back to Whatsapp.

Well for me, I think much better to use the messenger. A lot of my friends using this and it's really hard to encourages them to change and use another apps., beside, I have never used Whatsapp, and I don't have a contact or friends using this one. I'm much more familiar and comfortable in messenger, and it's free even I have a data balance I'm able to send message if i want.
