World War III is imminent, and the USA will start it
For decades, countries have tried to avoid an international conflict, but with the growing recent USA interference in North Korea, and an uneasy Russian alliance, it is only a matter of time before war will ensue.

History tells us that when trust among allies falters, then war with be more likely, and given that several countries are undergoing a radical change of government with the unknown, the chances of an international war is high.

Agree

Probably

WW3 on a larger scale wouldn't benefit anyone, The USA is in so much debt the only way to shake it would probably be to go to war with China. If we were to do that all emotions aside we would probably lose with much more lost than a few trillion dollars. As we all know America loves to flex their muscles and one day someone is going to check the US on that and it will start a chain reaction that will probably turn into WW3.

war is a sad part of history

World war 3 has been talked about for a long time and the stage appears to be setting up for another world war, but wars are going on all over the world as we speak .Wars that we know about and secret wars that are not in the public eye all and all I would love to see a world of peace instead of bloodshed.

Needs a Strong Reason

I think there seems to be a good reason for the war. Once it has one then war is going to start for sure. So you may want to see that it needs to be handled. I have learned that such wars gets triggered and we have no way to handle things from there.

Possibly

Its possible that the USA may start a third world war if they continue to act as police of the world without planning to face the consequences or help the people that may be affected by their moves, it was the USA and UK role in Iraq that has led to many civilian death in this recent time because it was the US that armed the rebel to fight the government troops now that the government now please the US the rebels has refuse to but down their weapon but instead has continued to carry out masses atrocity on innocent people.

The US role in Ukraine may have cause a world war because Russia as I know it has a good military capacity to fight the US and also has her own allies who are ready at any time to join force economically to take revenge on the US for past wrongs committed by previous US government.

Disagree

WWIII wouldn' benefit anyone

A World War III won't happen, or at least it's very unlikely. Nobody have nothing to gain from such a conflict, in case of a victory, and everybody have lot to lose, in case of a defeat. The economical situation of the world is also in the disadvantage of everybody in the world, there is simply not enough money to start a proper conflict like the first or second one. I think that a Cold War 2 is most likely to happen, if it has not already started.

President Donald Trump's Nine-Day Trip

There's no, or never, any indication of the President thinking, insinuating and starting a WWIII. From the transcript of his speech at the Arab Islamic American Summit to King Salman and respectable Arab officials:

  1. "Agreement will help the Sausi miitary to take a greater role in security operations."
  2. "The goal is to meet history's great test-- to conquer extremism and vanquish the forces of terrorism."
  3. "...deliver a message of friendship and hope."
  4. "That is why I chose to make my first foreign visit a trip to the heart of the Muslim world, to the nation that serves as custodian of the two holiest sites in the Islamic Faith.
  5. "...to strengthen America's oldest friendships, and to build new partnerships in pursuit of peace."
  6. "Our vision is one of peace, security, and prosperity---in the region, and in the world.
  7. "Our goal is a coalition of nations who share the aim of stamping out extremism and providing our children a hopeful future that does honor to God."
There is more I could copy here from the President's speech in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. But you can look it up yourself (his Tweet link to the transcript in Facebook). Look up also, his speech in Rome with the Pope. In Israel with PM Bibi Netanyahu. And the NATO peace and renewal of alliances, and "paying up" of NATO allies what is due for fair and equal or responsibility and stronger defense.

Friendship with Russia would be good too--eradicating and destroying caliphate ISIS.

Do these words look and sound like he's in for WWIII? I don't think so.

The USA will start WW III? You mean ... On Purpos

The United States of America will start WW III? You mean intentionally? Deliberately? On purpose? I am almost certain whichever country has nuclear missiles, they already have them pointed at The Enemy, just in case.

I think the existence of nuclear weapons makes a World War III very unlikely. When wars are fought, countries want to win and enjoy the spoils of victory. They don't want to disappear from off the face of the earth!

Why have a war if nobody is going to be alive when it's all over?! That's not how the game is played.

Don't think so

The world has learned quite a bunch from two world wars and with the advent of the nuclear age I doubt we will see a global scale conflict any time soon. This Korea deal is mostly talk and empty threats. Believe me when I say that if any of the opossing sides really wanted war we'd be in the middle of it already.

learned lessons

I think at this point we have learned our lesson enough not to partake in such a big war anymore. Probably the pattern of small wars will continue because it is profitable but that's about it. I also disagree that the US will be the ones to start it if it does start up, but I do get that they will most likely be major players or even be the catalyst in the background but I doubt they will make their intentions obvious.

Nope it's not

Every Superpower knows that WW III would mean destruction of humanity. It's because unlike World War I and 2, we have nuclear arsenals now and if some nation launches a nuclear attack then the other nation would reciprocate and both nations would be destroyed. So no one can win. But what if a nation starts conquering or annexing land or see which is not theirs, like China is now doing. Can this be a flashpoint for war? I don't think so China is just a bully but in reality they're not going to go to war against the U.S. and it's allies, because they know they can't win. They just like to act tough and bully smaller nations.

Not so

Well if you were to look at things, there are a bunch of presidents who are now at that point where they could start a war but at the same time won't start it because they are wise people and wise people are chosen for the right position. If I was to say U.S was to start the WW3 then that would be a problem knowing how many countries would be affected and how it would destroy once again the peace and order in this world.

I really don't know if I should comment on this post but for the sake of this site, let me share my thoughts on the issue. I have been reading so many posts about the probability of World War 3 which will involve the US with China or Russia or North Korea. That premise alone makes the US the anti-hero. But with who will start the war, if in case it happens, would depend on the interpretation of events. During world war 2, some people say that Japan is the culprit when it bombed Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and some say that it was the US that started the war because of their bravado in foreign diplomacy. So there, take your pick.

Actually, World War II was started by Germany when they invaded Warsaw, Poland. U.S. citizens were calling heavily for neutrality during the early moments of the war because they did not want to get involved. The U.S. remained neutral and out of the way during WWII until Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, at which point the U.S. joined in.

So contrary to your point, neither the U.S. nor Japan started WWII, merely they were both players in the way the U.S. entered into it. Read up on the wikipedia page about WWII sometime, it's really fascinating.

I stand to oppose the fact that the War started that time, the war initially started when Japan invaded Manchuria which was a Chinese territory in 1937, then the matter was taken to the League of Nations and nothing was done about it. The only unrealistic thing that happened was that an embargo was placed on Japan and she was expelled from the League of Nations, China was suffering from a Japanese invasion but the West never saw the conflict that serious until it got to Europe.

In China and some Asian countries it is believed that the war started 1937 but to European countries it started 1939 when Germany invaded Poland.

The fact is that the possibility is true, but nobody wants to start it. I think the Us is at the center of it all, US at the moment should stop spending on wars of no concern of theirs and they should also stop spending bogus amounts on making instruments of war. Money spent on this things should be used to develop their economy and create more jobs.

Since I was little people have been saying there will be a third world war. I used to worry about it and I remember when I was in my late twenties a friend told me her brother had received call up papers. That really worried me .. but nothing happened.

I think with Trump in power in the US we are probably closer than we have been for a long time. There are 15,000 nuclear weapons around the world and if North Korea decided to use theirs we would all be in danger. Trump is playing with fire here.

I take issue with the USA will start it. Don't we have a right to protect ourselves against nation's that want to destroy us? When the Kim Jung UN shows videos of the US Capitol being in flames, and shoots missles in our general direction what should we do? We have also had a massive attack on our country and no one wants to see that happen again. The USA is not warlike however, we do not want to be attacked either. We prefer to rely on diplomacy. I don't think anyone wants WWIII.

There is forever the threat of war hanging over us. Iknow some people in the US would love to see a war because they believe that their country is invincible but they don't realize how devasting war can be. There many documented incidences of strong, grown men becoming mere wimps when being faced with some of the frightening aspects of the war. I don't know, however, that a World War 111 would be started by the US. It could come from many other sources. What is understandable is that the US would be involved if there was another world war. One of the factors that are really suppressing the act of another world war is the prevalence of countries with nuclear capabilities. This has caused many countries to only spew out venomous rhetoric but not back it up with the matching action. However, we could see the actions of some fanatic creating the next world war anyway.

I guess anything is possible but WWIII starting because of US "interference" with North Korea is highly unlikely as the US is fine with the status quo. If anything, it is North Korea who for some unfathomable reason is taunting the US with the possibility of a missile attack. I surely hope this never happens for both the sakes of the people of the U.S. and, especially, for the poor, oppressed people living in North Korea as they have suffered greatly as it is.

With the way things are right now it's definitely looking more and more possible however as to whom will start it, that I can not comment on. Do I believe the US will start WWIII? Maybe... however there is so many other Countries out there who could start it first, look at North Korea, Russia, these are all Countries who could also start a WWIII. It's a shame that at some point we may see a WWIII and unfortunately many people including American's who do not see it as being an issue. They see it as they have won wars before and they can do it again. Problem is times have changed and this time around are they capable of winning again and at what cost?

WW3 is inevitable and we need to accept it. Man is a greedy, self-serving creature and unfortunately, we can also be the most stupid and ignorant creature as well. Who starts this war is not important... We will all suffer! Each side will blame the other while the innocent pay the price. NK /US / Russia / China /... it doesn't matter. I am sure if you put an average citizen from each of these countries, in a room together, 9/10 they will get along. Put politicians from each of these countries in the same room and they will cause the problems.

The sad reality is, everyone can see the cogs of war moving including the main antagonists but because of this new flood of nationalistic thinking everyone is thinking about themselves and not about humanity as a whole. It's like the last world war is no longer a caution but something to try and out do. Bigger militaries... the biggest. New long range ballistic missiles. This could all be done away with if someone just checked the big babies that these countries has for leaders but who is gonna step up?

There's a greater possibility that world war 3 will most likely to happened in the years to come and that involves US and North Korea due to the development of nuclear weapons and for not obeying international rules of each country. Those allied forces of each nation will join forces to stop one another and is the start of the war and the end of mankind.

If world war three should start in our present time i don't believe that the USA will start it. USA is a peace loving country. The war can start as result of those countries that are always trying to provoke the USA at the slightest opportunity. Countries that support terrorism are the actual ones that might likely want to initiate the beginning of any war as it has happened in the past

I don't see world war happening any time soon and I don't believe the US will be the one starting the WW3. When the US attacked Afghanistan after the incident of 9/11, people say this is the beginning of world war 3. Muslim countries, especially Iran and Iraq, will come to rescue Afghanistan and they will fight against the US. Perhaps, Russia and China will stay along side of Adghanistan. However this did not happen.

Maybe the media is just trying to stir us with the idea of a world war because they want something controversial. You know media they have the propensity for something unusual so that people will be reading their news. But I guess world war III will not happen soon especially that the US is now being a friend to North Korea. But in the case of China, I guess it is another matter.

The WW3 will happen only if the people would allow it, history has thought us to never let so complicated a subject to leaders, they're only good for representing the people decisions. cause solving a conflict according to them always involves building a wall

I really hope it's not imminent. We live in a time where there aren't any major conflicts in western countries and hopefully the world will get more peaceful every year. I think nobody has business in starting a WW3. The biggest concern right now is Northern Korea but I don't think they can start a World War.

Any war would be somewhat nuclear so there's literally nothing to gain - simply cause even a small exchange would cause nuclear winter and a huge one, the extinction of our planet. However, though, in my Biblical, End Times thinking, I believe natural disasters will get most of the earth before the world situation goes totally nuclear. In that case, it's still horrible, but maybe the Earth can at least recover from the damage.

Well, I don't think that World War 3 Is a possibility in the current scenario. I also don't think that the USA would be an initiator of a World War if it happens in the future. However, I feel that the race to become a superpower of the World and the desire to become the strongest will encourage China to initiate such a War against the US and its allies.

I do think that a world war is imminent however, I think that it will either be started by China and the USA or between the European Union and Russia. I think that America electing Trump is bad for the world. America has always been a calming influence on the rest of the world at best and an intimidating influence at its worst. America for now has made friends with regimes like Russia who are bound to cause another world war. Look at their relationship with Britain?
