Would you rather give or receive?

With the holidays fast approaching, this question is very fitting. Would you rather give a gift? Or do you prefer to receive gifts?

I am not going to lie, I love getting gifts. The excitement of opening up the gift, wondering what someone got you is amazing.

However, I much prefer to give gifts. I love seeing people happy and think that it is neat to see their faces when they open a gift that they really wanted or are surprised by a gift that they have gotten from me.

So which would you rather do give or receive? Or do you feel that both are important?

I can definitely feel the holiday spirit and I am very much excited this coming Christmas. Christmas is the time of joy, love, and giving. This Christmas I have already planned what gifts I would give to my loved one and family and of course, I would like to recieve a gift in return!

Yes? Christmas is coming! The excitement of everyone cannot be contained. Everyone is eager to give and receive, of course. It's the season when the rate of giving and receiving is high.

Receiving gifts is nothing to me although, I still appreciate their efforts in thinking about me. I am not a materialistic person so gifts are not applicable to me. I prefer giving gifts to others, because I know they would genuinely be happy, unlike me. Moreover, other's happiness are mine too.

I think that I would like to both give and receive. The entire process of exchanging gifts between people is what really makes it feel like a complete experience. Receiving gifts feels great—I mean, who doesn’t want to receive a gift—but it doesn’t feel great when you don’t have anything to give back to the person. On the other hand, it also feels wonderful to give someone something, but sometimes the person can feel bad if they weren’t expecting it and didn’t get you anything return.

When there is an exchange of gifts by both parties, that’s when it truly feels the best.

I don't really get gifts during any occasion, and I'm always the one giving them. I don't mind it that much as I'm already used to giftless birthdays, Christmas, and Valentine's day. I get more joy out of giving gifts :)

I want to give gifts to many folks especially to my love ones. I want them to be happy even for the smalls things I do for them and that's by giving gifts to my loved ones. I admit that I want also to receive something but I will more into giving gifts as I believe that God made me to make others happy.

I believe in give and take so that's why. Let's e honest, we all want to receive to a gift from other people because it makes us happy and felt important or treasured or loved.

I would love to give and receive. To gift someone close to my heart would be super awesome and it should be surprise. Also, at the same time, receiving something from loved ones makes you feel special and you will come to realize that there are people who care for you. It is such an amazing feeling.

While opening a gift is a wonderful experience, the feeling of making someone happy and seeing their face as they get gifts is an equally satisfying feeling. Opening gifts are some of the most exciting things we experience as a child and we get older we would want to share that feeling to others especially with the young ones.

I am a person who feels uneasy when I don't give something on Christmas. But, I also feel excited when Christmas is approaching because I'm very expectant with their gift for me. I mean, who doesn't want to receive, anyway? So, I'm choosing both.

I would prefer to be both receiving and giving although I still subscribe to the adage that it is better to give than to receive. But the exact meaning of that saying is that we have more than enough so we can give and that would make us better than the one receiving. But whatever it is my take on life and relationship with people in general is to give and to receive because life is a two-way street that is a give-and-take affair.

I always enjoy and preferred giving gifts than receiving. I mean don't get me wrong, when I was small I really want to receive always a gift. But as time flies I wanted to be the one to give back. Right now I am actually working online and having a part time job so i can be able to buy the gifts that my family want because they gave me so much as a child and now it is my turn to at least give something back to them.

For me, I have this "better to give than to receive" in my mind. Which reminds me to be grateful in any gift that I'll be receiving because what's important is that I received a gift although my only goal is to give. It will act as a bonus for me because I gave a gift. As long as I could see them happy with my gift, that's something that I could also a gift already.

I prefer giving because it makes me feel happy. But of course, I'd also be grateful if someone gives me something. Both giving and receiving can give joy.

There is a saying, “It is better to give than to receive”. Being able to give is better because it means that you are blessed. Yes, It is a blessing to give. You are given a blessing by God for you to share it to others and not just to keep it to yourself. The more you give, the more God will trust you with more blessings.

I give because I believe that I would receive great things in the future, that I will be blessed. Another thing is that whenever I give, I feel happy for making someone happy. I love to share blessings whenever I have lots to offer. I would like to receive especially surprises. I love being surprised by my friends every Christmas and whenever it is my birthday. I love to receive shirts, gadgets and even money.

Receiving makes me feel special and important to someone and same with giving, I like making someone feel special and important too but I rarely do this during the holidays because I don't really pay attention to it as much as I used to when I was young. I'm also not a fan of the holidays being just about giving and receiving stuff.

We have to understand that life isn't all about receiving or all about giving only. Life is a matter of give and take like your breathing. You need to inhale and exhale to live. When I was a child, I love receiving gifts and that was understandable. As I grew up, I have learned the beauty of giving. I love to see happy faces of people who receives from you. But always keep in mind that it is also important to receive. Remember, you cannot give something that you don't have.
